„What do you mean you bought two tickets to Hawaii? Are you insane Rogers?", you asked your friend in disbelief . It's great news-of course, but who buys tickets without asking first, if someone could actually come? Apparently Steve did.
His cheeks turned a pretty rosy colour. He shrugged. "Well, it was cheep and these were the last two, so...yeah. We'll spend your birthday in Hawaii-surprise?", he said kind of squeamish and embarrassed. Yet there was a small smile on his face. You couldn't be mad at that. Especially not at him. It was a great gift-even though you really didn't want to know the price. It probably would give you a heart attack.
Steve Rogers was a dork.
But he was your dork.
Well, not really. You wished it'd be like that, but you're friends. Really, really close friends. Natasha always teased you about your friendship-Bucky did the same to Steve, but you didn't know that. Everyone around you knew you had feelings for Steve-and vice versa.
"You're an idiot, Steve. God, I love you so much", you laughed and hugged him. Steve's heart jumped, while he embraced you. He really wished you'd mean it. Actually he tried to tell you many times he loved you-for the past few months he tried to give you a hint. But you were clueless-or maybe you just didn't want to hurt him and always brushed it off?
He ignored his inner doubts.
"I love you too", he mumbled in your hair.
You both imagined how it would be, if the other one meant it.
The next three days were pretty stressful, but at the same time you couldn't stop grinning. Two weeks with Steve in Hawaii. Just the two of you. How would you even survive it? Well, actually you were with him most of the time. You were roommates, so you saw each other every day. But it was Hawaii-you had no idea how it'd go. Especially since Steve would be walking around shirtless 24/7. You just knew it. He always did that in summer-what you didn't know, he did it for you.
Well, it's not like he expected you to jump him in the living room or something-even though he wouldn't be against it-but he hoped you'd at least maybe look at him. He really wanted to catch you looking.
You sat next to the window and looked at the clouds. A big smile crossed your lips. They were so beautiful and looked so...soft. Giggling you turned you head to Steve, only to meet his gaze. He was already looking at you-he did it for quite a while now. Just watching you look at the cloudy sky, smiling and giggling. His heartbeat was racing and stomach flip. God you were so pretty. It was hard to stay concentrated on something else-he just….he really loved you. You were so incredibly beautiful, from the inside and outside. The sparkle in your eyes, whenever you talked about your favourite things or the way you smiled at every dog you saw. It was so…wholesome. You took his breath away. Every time he looked at you. God. Why couldn’t he just kiss you right-
„What?", you asked confused. Steve blushed immediately. He didn’t mean to stare. "Nothing,...you wanted to tell me something?", he quickly changed the subject. It worked, since you instantly pointed out of the window. A huge grin on your face. "Look at the clouds! They look so fluffy. Like a white bunny-and god how tiny the buildings are. You can't really see them. Wow...", you mumbled and looked back to Steve.
Grinning he leaned closer over you, to look at the view. He loved sitting next to the window-but he knew you've never been on a plane before, so he wanted you to give the best experience.
While he was so close to you, you had to hold yourself from smelling him. He always smelled so nicely. It was...fresh and clean but also just completely Steve. You couldn't explain it. But it was nice.
Slightly you leaned your head against Steve's shoulder. "Thank you, Steve", you mumbled. Before he was able to answer, a stewardess came over to the two of you. "Can I bring you something to drink, lovebirds?", the friendly lady asked with a professional smile. You could feel yourself blush. Steve's cheeks also had a darker shade, but he didn't say anything to correct the woman. "Just water, if that's okay", you said and couldn't keep yourself from leaning slightly more against Steve.
After she left, Steve started grinning, but didn’t say anything. He wanted to enjoy the few seconds of your not existing relationship. It was quite funny how often people mistook you for a couple; at restaurants, in clubs, in the cinema, parks,…literally everywhere. Even your parents asked if you were together, after they found out about the vacation. Again. They asked it every time you talked about Steve.
After a while of watching out of the window you took your book and decided to read, while Steve leaned his head against your shoulder an decided to take a nap. “But if you snore, I’ll kick you out of this seat”, you teased him-to his defensive, he only snored once while you slept in the same bed. You fell asleep with him after watching a movie and woke because of his loud snoring-it never happened before and never afterwards, but you teased him for it endlessly.
“Yeah, yeah, I get it. It won’t get away any time soon, I guess”, he mumbled against your skin. You felt his lips brush against your throat while he spoke-god did this made breathing become harder. It was nothing sexual, yet you felt your heartbeat quicken. “Sleep well, Stevie”, you said quietly in his hair.
It didn’t took long for him to fall asleep. You could tell by the slower breathing, that he had fallen asleep.
It started to get darker outside an hour into reading the book, so you had to turn on the little light above, to read more-but you didn’t want to do that for to ling, just enough to finish the chapter. After you’d turn it off again, since the light would probably disturb some people.
While you were putting your book away, the stewardess came back. Still with a friendly smile on her face. You noticed her name tag said Emma. “Do you or your boyfriend want a blanket?”, she asked you quietly, as soon as she realised Steve was asleep. You nodded. “Yeah, two blankets please”, you mumbled. She left quickly to get the blankets.
You wiggled a bit around, to get a comfortable position, since you could already feel one of your legs being slightly numb. Of course this woke Steve up.
“Are we there?”, asked steve sleepily and look up, just to look out in the dark night sky. “No, Steve, I wanted to get more comfortable-but you can still lean on me. I don’t mind. And the stewardess will get us some blankets, then you can go back to sleep.” Steve nodded, while stretching a bit-as much as this was possible in this seat.
Exactly then came Emma back with the blankets. “I’m so sorry, but we have only one blanket left.“ “It’s completely fine, we don’t mind sharing”, said Steve friendly and took the blanket from the stewardess. She gave him a big friendly smile-friendlier than before. You didn’t really like it. “Yeah, we like cuddling”, you added. Emma’s smile became a big tighter. “Great. I’ll leave you to it, good night”, she said before disappearing.
Steve looked with a smug smirk to you. “We like cuddling, huh?”, he teased. “Shut up and just spoon me. I’m cold”, you mumbled and turned around as much as you could. Steve put the armrest up and slid closer to you. He put the blanket over your bodies, after which he put his arms around you. You couldn’t keep yourself from smiling slightly.
Steve gave you a quick kiss to your cheek. “Good Night”, he mumbled against your ear. “Night, Steve.”
He really hoped he’d be able to tell you how he felt. On this trip he planned to do it. Everything would be romantic, a real date with candlelight and soft music. He wanted to do it all right. With these thoughts in mind he slowly drifted back to sleep, still holding you close to his chest.
Within a few hours you entered the hotel Steve had booked. At the desk he got the keycard to your room and took your suitcases. “Let’s go, we can go out, to the beach or…maybe a restaurant? I haven’t planned the first day-“ “you have a plan for our time here?”, you laughed softly. It made Steve chuckle. “Kind of, yeah. I’m….well, if you won’t like it, we can do whatever you want and-” He started mumbling. You just pulled him in a hug. Steve hugged you back and buried his face in your hair.
After you got out of the elevator you walked into your room and-wow
Wow.
It was amazing. Beautiful.
The windows showed the beautiful beach close to your hotel. It was already late enough for the sun to be getting down, so the sunset was…incredibly beautiful. “Yeah, you’re right…incredibly beautiful”, Steve mumbled right next to you, looking at you. Apparently you had said your thoughts out loud. Sometimes this happened to you-and Steve loved it. It was…lovely. He liked it. Like everything else about you.
“Let’s change and then we’ll go to the beach okay?”
And so you did.
After you put on your swimsuit and a comfortable dress over it, you left the bathroom to find Steve shirtless on the bed. You could feel yourself blush. “Steve. Where are your clothes.” Quickly he sat up and grinned a bit. “Well, I’m wearing shorts, isn’t that enough?”, he laughed. You shook your head lightly but could keep a grin of your face, while you grabbed one of his shirt from his suitcase and threw it at him.
Within a couple of minutes you were already walking along the beach. Luckily there weren’t many people around. It was colder than you expected but still warm enough to go swim. The sunset was beautiful. Many red, Orange and purple colours. Steve would love to paint it.
You laid out the blanket and sat down with Steve. For a while none of you said anything. Just enjoying the comforting silence. It felt really good. Even though Steve inner artist just wanted to draw the beautiful sunset, he couldn’t stop looking at you. You were just…he couldn’t put your beauty into words. After all this time, after so many years of your friendship, he still couldn’t believe how you haven’t found the one.
Well,
he didn’t know you already did.
You were sitting right next to him.
After a while you two took of your clothes, to go into the water. “The last one in the water is a rotten egg!”, you pushed Steve to the ground and run ahead. Behind you you could hear Steve laugh, while he followed.
“You cheated! You little cheater”, Steve laughed, while he grabbed your waist and threw you over his shoulder. A surprised scream escaped your lips, while you held onto Steve for dear life. “I didn’t! I changed the rules!”, you laughed. Steve laughed one last time, before throwing you in the water. For a while you fooled around, till both of you felt to cold and the sun was already gone.
So you laid down on the blanket with Steve, while grabbing towels and drying yourself. “You know, this vacation is already great and it only the first day. I can’t wait what you’ve planned for tomorrow”, you muttered while leaning your head against Steve’s shoulder. He couldn’t keep himself from putting his arm around you. Your skin was could er compared to his. Immediately you cuddled up to him and put your arm around him.
Steve gave you a kiss on the head. “We can spend the day just…Checking in. Have a look at…everything…”, he mumbled in your hair.
Before you could answer, your whole body trembled because of the cold air. Of course Steve noticed, so he quickly took out his jacked, from the back the two of you brought with you and put around your shoulders. It made your heartbeat fasten. With a smile on your lips, you looked up to Steve. “Thank you”, mumbling you slid closer to him. Steve could feel himself blush, while he unintentionally leaned closer to you.
You felt your breath quicken. Your pulse racing. He was so close to you. If only you could…just lean closer…an kiss him.
And so you did. But before steve was able to react you pulled away. “Oh god”, you mumbled.
Shocked you looked into Steve’s beautiful blue eyes. He seemed as surprised as you-but then he smiled. This time, Steve pressed his lips softly to yours, while one of his hands found your cheek and stroke your cheekbone with his thumb. Your skin tingled everywhere he touched you. His lips were so…so soft. So kissable. The kiss felt amazing. Tender. And…soulful. You couldn’t stop yourself from smiling. This made Steve smile as well.
Slowly he pushed you down on the blanket, while leaning over you. Once again the kisses started, but stayed as soft as they were before. There was no rush. Just the two of you. Two young people in love. Two racing hearts, finally together, after being for so long apart.
You put your arm around Steve’s neck, while he stopped kissing you, to once again gaze in your eyes. God, he finally kissed you…or the other way around, he didn’t know. It didn’t matter.
For a while you looked at each other. Just grinning like two idiots. Feeling your heartbeat racing like crazy.
“it wasn’t supposed to happen like that…”, he mumbled after a while, which made you draw your eyebrows together. Did he regret the kiss? Oh god, what if your understood it all wrong? But he -
Steve saw your hesitation and shook his head quickly. “No, no, no, no, not like that…I meant-I had it all planned. On your birthday. I made reservations in this amazing restaurant and…I told them to put a bouquet roses and candles on the table…”, Steve explained, while kissing your face. “…And I asked them to bring us champagne to our hotel room-it’s actually funny, I kinda…accidentally told them it’s our honeymoon while booking-well, it wasn’t on purpose, but I kind of started rambling and…god what am I talking about?”, he laughed, which also caught you to laugh.
“And what…what exactly would this be about? All of this?”, you asked quietly. Steve slightly smiled.
“I wanted to tell you, I love you, Y/N, wanted to ask you on a real date”, he said, while caressing your face. His words made you smile. Once again you pressed your lips to his, but the kiss endet quickly.
“I love you too, so, so much…and I’d like to go on a date. On my birthday. Just like planned.” Your words make Steve grin. He nodded immediately.
A shiver came over you. Of course Steve noticed.
This made you two decide to get back to your hotel.
After you both took a shower you laid together in bed. It wasn’t any different from any other time you slept together in a bed. Yet it still felt completely different. Because this time, you knew how you felt. You loved each other.
Smiling, you buried your face against Steve’s chest. It was the first time you could do this, without an excuses about being ‘to cold’, so you cuddled close against his warm skin. It felt amazing. Even though you hadn’t had the relationship-talk you knew you were a couple. Steve felt it. You felt it. It was this simple-only to bad you hadn’t had the guts to do it sooner.
„I love you, you dork“
„I love you, too, you slightly less of a dork.” Steve’s reply made you laugh.
You were perfect for each other. Everyone around you knew it-and finally so did the two of you.

I don't even know where to begin to rate 'Longing', other than to say that I loved the angst and the plot. I've read it, re-read it and so far I'm at a loss for words(??)😭🤧
The reader looking at Cassian and Nestha's interaction, not knowing how to hide her emotions and suffering hurt me, but if she doesn't know how to hide it, other people in the Inner Circle could see her feelings for Cassian, yes? But it also makes me wonder how Cassian wouldn't see it too if it were that obvious, or would he. Which makes me have several hypotheses ☝️
Azriel said that he might have been jealous of the reader when Cassian confronted her about her supposed relationship with him, but that may or may not be🗣 At first I thought it might be that, but then it came to me that he might feel hurt by her and Az hid it from him. But then again, he went after her not only when she left dinner, but also when she got hurt and found the two of them hugging and the rude way he talked about Az and her being together and why would that happen, if not out of jealousy? I could classify these as signs of something more, but then Nestha comes in. And then my theory doesn't quite hold up, because his reactions when the reader talked about Nestha left me with a flea in my ear, them flirting at dinner and especially the two of them almost fucking in the library. It seems Cassian is confused. I'm so 😭😭😭🤔
The only comfort I found was Azriel being the best friend anyone could have. Him taking care of her when she got hurt, the affectionate way she referred to him, him wanting to know if she was okay, him supporting her in her unrequited love and taking care of the reader💖💖🥺

I saw the comments left and it makes me wonder if there will be a part two(?), because girl… that ending left me wanting a continuation. On the one hand, it could be the reader being enough for herself and showing much more of her friendship with Azriel. On the other hand, I saw a comment with the possibility of Az being with her and I was like 'wow! that would be interesting!'. I'm still hurt by Cassian on behalf of our dear reader, especially, after the last scene!!! Or maybe an Azriel point of view? I feel he'll know a lot more than we see from the reader's point of view. What prompted me to ask for the second one was, the last sentence regarding the mating bond.
I was like, "Is Cassian her mate?", but then another question comes in, which is, you didn't specify if it's really Cassian. Some crazy part of me thought it might even be Az, the bond that way because he sees the reader suffering for someone else. I need answers!
But ☝️ don't feel obliged to write a sequel, although I'd love to. I just have to thank you for this wonderful fanfic! Thank you so much!!!🥺☝️💖💖

i am obsessed with best friend Az in this. he’s a real one for our girl haha. Cassian is definitely missing some key things, and I do agree that other points of view would really clear up the situation. i have lots of ideas for pt.2!

do you like the My Little Pony: A New Generation?
(i personally can't bring myself to watch it, i miss magic of friendship so much)
well at first I was like no friendship is magic can't end but ok I do really like g1 and that's a different generation so new ponies that could be fun, then I was like wait it takes place in the same world!?!?!?! and twilight and her friends and all the ponies I love are... gone!? 😱😢
then I disliked it, then I watched a bit of tell your tale and I was like ok this is a little fun but also who are these ponies? then I actually watched the movie and the make your mark special and I was like AWWW CUTE! 💖💖💖 and I loved it, but each time I heard applejack or pinkie or any of the other g4 ponies as background ponies ('cause they're kind of sticking around in the swedish dub) I was like: noooo go back I miss them!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭 and then I saw the trailer- (WAIT OH ISN'T THE NEW SERIES LAUNCHING TODAY!?!? ok so I'll go check that later 🤣🤣 I had completely forgotten) now where was I... I watched the series trailer and I was like yay! I love new cute pony horses but pleeeeaaassseee for the love of all cake let the mane six be ok and safe and not gone forever 🙏💖🤞🧡
so what I mean is I do love g5 but I dislike that it's a continuation of g4 (a lot) so to not make myself feel too sad I see g5 as an alternate universe and not canon to g4 but at the same time that is really hard sometimes 'cause they bring up g4 so often so it still makes me sad sometimes 🤧💜💜 and ngl I'm a bit salty that equestria girls and pony life ended (also friendship is magic ofcourse but I also feel really happy with all the seasons we got) just a bit, or maybe a little bit more than a bit... 😂💗💗 so I 220% get why you'd feel like that :)

1. My fav fic of yours - flight risk......im pretty sure its the first fic of yours ive ever read but oh god its SO good erics character and everything abt it ??? Had me feeling butterflies so many times i screamed and yelled into my pillow. Also inspired me a lot in my writing slump and like... i dont wanna be cheesy but helped me mentally bc i read it when i was having a rough time 😭👍 but also PARTY PEOPLE !!!!! so good. SO so good. oh and also the sunwoo hoodie drabble owns my ass i reread it like 5 times already
2. My fav chapter in my fav fic of yours - not my fav fic but the kiss scene in the practice room in off the record ??? slaps
3. The best character youve written for - swing my way eric honestly. so authentic to him imo TT i just adore his character in that fic a whole lot.
6. Something i remember vividly - that scene from flight risk when eric asked sunwoo if he wants to go skate w them and sunwoo goes "no, im down" and eric is like wtf and so sunwoo goes "no, im down. laying down in my bed" or something (the memory is not 100% vivid as u can see) but I legit slapped my knee that was PEAK COMEDY for me
7. Something that made me emotional after reading - that one chapter of somewhere only we know when intak describes how he wishes he could hear his brothers voice sometimes because if he missed him in that way maybe it would hurt less. That whole series is...very personal to me in sense of grief :,)
8. What i like the most about your writing - THE UNIVERSES U CREATE and like. The friendships and the characterization of each character and how theyre all their own person and not just a tool for plot. Also your comedy in fics it always has me giggling
9. A fic im excited for you to post - sangyeons love in unity fic bc i need to know whats up w that secret gf

Hi!! I don't know much about BTS outside of their music, and I never really read kpop fics, but somehow I wound up stumbling on lovesick and binged it (while occasionally switching tabs to make sure I was putting the correct face to the name lmao). It's super addictive and I have a million questions (and even more guesses) which is a sign that it's well-constructed and seeded! <3 (1/3)
I also like reading the asks, but I feel bad when people seem to be under the impression that they can "the reason you suck" speech their way into bothering the boys. Friends, sweet dears, I can tell you from real life, this does not do anything when you are dealing with people that do not want to engage with reality and ESPECIALLY not the reality of your personhood. I imagine it works even less so on the fictional ones lmao. But that's part of the fantasy too, I suppose. (2/3) P.S. Yeah, I think some readers have hope that they would've been able to change them for the better or make them see the error of their ways, but the reality is that the boys are just too far gone for that to work. Even those that are a bit more 'sane' are still benefiting from the situation, so why would they turn their backs on the rest when they already have everything they want, you know?

Hiii<3 i just wanted to tell you how much i love your kmg unhelpful guide to losing your virginity🥺 i love how you touch the emotional and messy aspects of the vcard and the lie that put some sorta strain on reader's friendships. Personally, I think that sometimes people forget that sex can be in a sense scary with all the vulnerability. I loved that bit that after reader lost her virginity mingyu walked her through it. It was so sweet. I love that the sex was loving ugh I'm just sappy-(1/2)
(cont.) -and hopeless romantic like that. I just love love love your approach on the both of them. The word building to the sunset confession made me swoon. Love the tiny details of mingyus eyes during the sunset, the notebook, and the gallery! +clawdia. I like that you also gave reader screentime with her friends! It really adds layers to the story. omg there’s so many layers to it and i just wanted to portray a semi realistic first time (but still a little flowery and indulgent bc it’s fanfiction HAHAH) but yes!!! there’s so much vulnerability involved which is why the fic ended up being longer than i expected 🥲 tbh at first it wasn’t supposed to be as sappy as it ended up being, but i’m glad i took this route instead because i needed to give mingyu a ROMANCE 🫶
friend group banter is honestly my favorite to write :’)) i thought reeallyy long about who i was going to include in the friend group and how their dynamic would work, and honestly i felt like they balanced each other out rlly well LOL i didn’t expect it to work so well 🤧 im super glad you enjoyed it tho love !! 🤍

Dottore having a huge crush on you back in the akademiya would be so cute, he'd most definitely look at you from afar and just admire you for how you act and what you do 🤭 he'd get all flustered when you compliment him and ask about his interests, making him feel like you genuinely care about him and his hobbies, which in turn makes fall inlove with you even more 😭😭

If you reject dottore, he'd be sad, of course. He never anticipated rejection, he never even thought of it in all honesty, but he understood your reasonings.
From then on, he wouldnt reach out to anyone anymore, you were– and still are the only person he's ever cared for– loved for. He could never replace the love he held for you. Even if you didn't reciprocate his feelings, he'd be nothing but respectful towards you. With his demeaning and cold demeanor, you'd think he'd be more of a r/nice guy abt it but nope! He'd of course give you space if needed and let you reevaluate your guys friendship, if you choose to stay friends with him that is.
He will still pine for you, but only in the confines of his room where nobody would see silent wallowing.
Staying friends with you was better than not being friends at all, he was just glad then that you didn't cut him off. He still loves you, even if you choose not to love him back.

Aww thanks. I know you sent this yesterday but I only watched the first 5 episodes so I thought I'd wait until I finished it to respond. I Just finished it. It was so dang good this season. Like I could not get enough of it. Like I could not stop watching it it was so addicting. I wish Syd & Carmy had more scenes together. But even though they didn't have tons of scenes together the scenes we did get were great. I really loved to see their dynamic grow and their friendship blossom like it should. As far as shipping them goes. I don't know. I can never tell with this show. Something tells me the writers won't go there with them and are going to keep them platonic. But they did have Syd jealous of Claire and you can see how much they depend on each other and they do have a ton of soulmatey type things so I guess it could go either way. It honestly depends on the writers and what they want to do. But if they don't put them together or at least have them hook up at some point it will be a waste of their chemistry and it would be a shame because their chemistry is fire. This is so run on and rambly and I'm sorry but yep that's my view on it.

I re-read last chapter before reading this one and I blasted lose you to love me by Selena Gomez and it was a mistake bc I felt like I was experiencing the chapter myself like god damn 😭 I feel bad for hyunjin experiencing those shitty emotions, buuuuut he was (unintentionally) leading her on too. I think in previous chapters it was definitely more of a conscious thought of him wanting other people, but then it felt like it started to become him not even thinking about it really, but when he did think about it he was conflicted because he never wanted it to happen; it just kind of did. He’s hurting because he misses y/n obviously, but I think right when he was becoming comfortable with the idea of committing to one person (without acknowledging or admitting it lol) oc ended things. Literally the person that began to change his mind left 🥹 but oc really deserved sooo much better at that point. It was too little too late, yes he was coming around in baby steps, but she already spent SO much time on him when she needed someone that wasn’t afraid to give her his heart too. I hope she heals while he thinks about things. Maybe a new guy is going to enter the picture then? Cue jealous hyunjin👀🤞 I sound like I want him to suffer ✨because I do✨ but I actually am rooting for him and oc in the very end so far. Also Felix and hyunjin being on better terms made me so happy as well as Minho and y/n finally making up 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I love him I stg they’re such a cute friendship.
