Okay, I have this really long and angsty request for Ghost x male reader. Let me know if you're up for writing it and take as much time as you need, cuz when I say angsty, i mean it.
Ghost and Reader are dating, Reader is the team's chopper pilot and accompanies them on missions, picks them up if things get out of hand, etc. Before being sent on a mission, Ghost and Reader got into an argument about some silly stuff, during which Ghost, being the emotionally constipated man he is, said a lot of hurtful things to his partner. They were ignoring each other during the mission, as Simon was too proud to apologize and admit to his mistakes and feelings.
But then, as Reader was closing in with his helicopter to pick them up for evac, he was shot down and crashed, the pilot later presumed KIA.
Ghost felt guilty, he regretted the things he said and was miserable, as he lost the love of his life. A few months passed, the team helped him get through it. He was still mourning, but his friends made it easier to handle.
After nearly a year since the incident, during a mission, where they had to clear out an underground warehouse and get some important documents, Ghost got separated from the rest. As he tried to find them, he stumbled upon a closed door, with a chain and lock wrapped on its handles. He broke through it and didn't find the documents on the other side, but Reader.
Covered in blood, scars and bruises, handcuffed and hiding in the corner of the room, with a cloth tied around his eyes, shaking and crying as Ghost approached, scared that it was one of the enemy soldiers, about to hurt him.

“You don’t know what you’re sayin’.” Simon firmly states, squeezing his eyes shut tightly in hopes it would calm his growing headache. This fight had been going on for near an hour now, with himself and his boyfriend, (y/n), fighting about the pilots possible promotion to field work. “It’s not safe for someone like yourself.”
“What’s that supposed to mean, Simon? Am I not capable enough to you?” He snarls in turn, frustrated and upset with the taller male.
“That’s not it! It’s just dangerous. Nothing you’d understand considerin’ your work.” He was far too calm for this argument, only further irking (y/n).
“Considering my work?” He gapes, glaring down at the Brit. “I’m not an idiot. I know the risks! You know what, I don’t see why this is up to you. This is something I want.”
“Fine! Go ahead! Get yourself killed, see if I care!” Simon immediately snaps back, causing (y/n) to flinch back.
It’s silent now. Only the sound of (y/n) holding back his cries, and Simon’s angered pants echoing throughout their quarters. Before the Brit can get the chance to speak, the shorter male is out the door.
“Fuckin’ hell…” Simon groans, taking his seat as he cradles his head in his hands. He had royally fucked up, and that much was clear. But, was he surely in the wrong? (Y/n) had no clue the risk he’d be making if he were to fully place his life on field..
Simon was just looking out for him. He clearly knew what was better for the man’s life. Why wouldn’t he listen..?

The argument had clearly done damage, having the two avoid each other these past few days. (Y/n) had been happily spending his time with Gaz, a close friend of his.
Of course, it didn’t go unnoticed by Simon, who scowled at the sight. Gaz meant well, he knew that, but in the time where he couldn’t get the attention of his own boyfriend, it was irking.
“Keep glarin’ like that and ye’ll burn holes into ‘is head, Lt.” Soap comments teasingly, though he immediately backs down as he’s treated with a similar glare. “What’s got yer knickers in a twist?”
“(Y/n) and I had a fight.” He states plainly, his eyes glueing back onto the man’s figure.
“A fight? Jesus Ghost, the two of you’ll be back together in not time.” He chuckles, clearly not understanding the severity of said fight.
“I said things I didn’t mean to… practically told ‘im I didn’t care if he died..” He pauses, taking in a sharp inhale, his eyes still refusing to move from the other “I didn’t mean it.. I just worry… I don’t- I can’t lose him.”
“Why don’t you tell him that after the mission, ay? I’m sure he doesn’t hate you, Lt. You’re both just confused, love-sick kids.” Soap chuckles, nudging into the male with a bright flashy grin.
Ghost doesn’t reply verbally, but instead nods. His eyes finally manage to break free, moving to look towards Soap. “Alright. After the mission.”

The given intel had been faulty, leaving Price to desperately call in for an evacuation as his men fought for their lives. “Captain,” (y/n)‘s voice eagerly calls through the radio, his words choppy due to the propellers of his aircraft “heard you needed some air support.”
“(C/n)! Glad to hear your voice, you daft muppet.” The captain teases in turn, glad to have his most trustworthy pilot ready.
“Gonna need you lot to get to a higher point, let’s say.. the water tower.” He grins behind his headset, knowing it wasn’t the most practical point, but who was he if he didn’t enjoy a little danger?
“On it.” Price returns, making a move to examine the area for said tower. “You heard ‘im boys, make it to the evac point, preferably without scratches.”
(Y/n) cackles, eagerly aiding them with few assisting shots. “Try not and get yerself killed, lad!” Soap, just as chaotic, shouts back through his own radio, watching the hefty aircraft glide through the skies.
It’s all fun and games to him, the typical action of attempting tricks with his plane, shooting down at those least expecting of him, and causing absolute misery for his team that prayed for their own safety.
It’s the point of which the team is at the water tower, and when he goes to pick up his boys, he finds himself panicked.
He’s been shot at. Multiple times, nonetheless, and it leaves him crawling down into a nearby forest. A plane on fire and only himself to try and safe him from death.

“(Y/n)!” Ghost shouts out, watching as his lover is shot from the sky. His eyes wide as he sees the aircraft go down, followed by dark hues of smoke and a large fire starting up in the forest nearby. “We have to go for him, Price! We can’t just leave ‘im there!” He begs and pleas, looking to the captain hopefully, only to see the man shake his head.
“You know we can’t. That’s one life over multiple.” He strictly states, already calling in for a backup evac.
Ghost panics, frantically trying to push past to climb down the tower. He’s held back by Soap and Gaz, and despite them being just as upset, they knew the captain was right. One life lost was better than all of their lives.
“N-No! We can’t leave him! Don’t leave him! Price- we can still get him!” He cries out, desperately trying to escape their grasps. “Don’t let him die! I don’t- can’t lose him! Please..” Shouts turn to choked out sobs.
It’s out character. To see the Ghost sobbing and begging like a toddler pleading for a toy. He looks absolutely broken. Having lost everything yet again. A cruel joke from God.
He practically dies as he sees the explosion. It shakes the ground a little, and the small wooded area lights up with ash and fire. He gives up, dropping his weight into the two sergeants as he simply stares. He stares in horror and remorse.
He never got to apologize. He’ll never get to apologize.

Months had passed. Ghost a broken man, a shell of what he had so generously built up to be.
He refused to speak.. refused to eat and sleep. Most hours of the day spent drinking or lying in bed without thought.
The team often trying to aid him. To provide the comfort he so desperately craved.. but nothing compared to the warm embrace of his lover that he oh so desperately needed.
Why hadn’t he just apologized and admitted fault..? Why hadn’t he just been a better lover?!? Fuck! Why hadn’t he just left the pilot alone in the first place? Nothing good came to those he loved..

His pained breaths echo throughout the cell, wheezing and hissing in pain as he’s beaten black and blue. He’s drenched in various substances, alcohol, water, and even his own blood. Multiple forms of torture having taken place throughout the weeks.
He’s not sure how much longer he’ll live, nor does he know if his team would ever find him. He was on his own, alone and injured.
“Are you going to speak yet?” His captor scowls, holding his head up with a tight grasp to his hair.
(Y/n) only stays silent, his eyes rolling back in a dazed state. It seems to displease the other, earning him another hit to the gut, his head being thrown back before he’s spat on.
“Filthy rat.” He hisses out, turning to a small table of many surgical tools. The man holds up a pair of heavy duty scissors, a sinister smile on his face as he tauntingly tilts his head. He holds the scissors up to (y/n)’s hand, catching over two fingers. “You won’t be needing these anymore, now will you?”
There’s no time to reply, the blades slicing down to meet, clean through his fingers as he shouts in pain. He bites down on his bottom lip, holding back any noises as he stares at the stumps of fingers in pure horror.
“Are you going to speak now? Or should I take more?” He snarls, dipping the man’s hand into a glass of alcohol. A process he had done with every new wound. It earns a meek and choked whimper from the other, but he continues to stay mute.
He’s almost grown fond of the way his blood circulates the golden hue of whiskey. A cruel reminder that he was still alive and bleeding for the time being.
How long until they grew tired and killed him..? How long until Simon found him?

Within the eighth month, Simon grew back into old habits. Requesting that he leave on a solo mission. And Price agreed. He gifted the lieutenant with a simple task for starting. A quick in and out of gathering intel.
He took the task with hopes. Praying that an overload of work would help him forget. Help him bury the past away and prevent these hauntings.
And so, he prepared to leave within the next few days..

(Y/n)’s head lolls of onto his shoulder, expression glum and bloodied as he looks to his captor with amusement. His silence taunting, and he simply stares. It clearly angers the man, earning him another bone cracking hit.
It’s not a long break, having his hair roughly pulled at, head being forced back into place. Dazed eyes meet fierce ones. His captor scowling, a ghastly expression.
“Such a fuckin’ tough guy, ey?” He spits, grabbing some sort of pliers. A sadistic look crossing his eyes as he brings the tool towards his face. “See how fucking tough you are when I break you piece by piece.”
The pliers make contact with his eye, a discomforting touch at first, though slowly growing into a searing pain. He screams and thrashes in an instinctive panic. The tool works with ease, wiggling about within his socket, loosening his eye before pulling it right from its place within his skull.
(Y/n) is a sobbing, panting mess. His face far more blood soaked, and lack of eye nothing but a pulsating pain. He’s not sure how much more he could handle.
Yet desperately, despite his pains, he silently prays. Prays for his teams rescue. He knows they’re coming. They have to be! But yet, he can only hope.

The warehouse is of easy access. A likeable cause that word of his presence got around, leaving for the group of terrorist to leave in a hurry.
It made the task easy. All he had to do now was seek out the documents he was sent for. But.. he stops in place, tensing where he stands. An eerie, yet familiar sound, calling out to taunt him.
Faint, broken sobs echo throughout the silent building. The sounds playing from beneath the floor. Beneath Simon’s feet.

He’s far too gone. Sitting in a haze of pain and delusion. He prays over and over again. Begging for an escape, so be it death.
And when footsteps echo from above his abused body, he desperately sobs in hopes his saviour would hear him. His state of delusional thoughts leading him to believe it was an angel.. one here to take away his suffering.
He’d been alone in this room for near a day now, having been left behind as the group fled in panic. And no matter if this sudden appearance was good or bad, he planned to be found.

Ghost is quick to act, searching out for the specific hatch. And he’s thankful it’s rather obvious. A small door hidden beneath a carpet, leading down to a door, seemingly a basement.
As he reveals the door, the cries grow louder. His body moving on its own as he rushes forward, hastily kicking down the door.
The the smell alone is awful, having him gag and grimace. But the sight.. his heart drops down, and his throat tightens into a panic.
Within the middle of the room, tied to a chair, his assumed K.I.A lover sits; beaten and broken, sobbing pathetically as his head hangs low.
“(Y/n)..” His words a hoarse cry, immediately rushing to free the man. He’s quick yet cautious, calling in for immediate pickup, alongside medical aid.
“Shh, it’s okay now luv.. gonna get you cleaned up.. fix you up, yeah?” He mumbles and soothes, rocking the wounded man within his arms. Though his words act as more a promise to himself than to the boy. “Don’t leave me.. please don’t go..”
He’s a mess himself, panicked and cautious as he holds the boy like he was broken glass. “Oh dove.. what have they done to you?” Simon whispers, noting his injuries as he rushes outside to try and get to the evac point. “Just stay with me.. stay awake luv.”
“Come on, just a little bit more..” he desperately pleas, practically stumbling along with how eager he is to rescue the boy.
And he does it, he gets to the aircraft, passing off his near dead lover to the many doctors. They work quick to hook him up to many machines, and the plane takes off..
It’s a blur of panic and desperation to keep him alive. Something Ghost himself isn’t sure of, considering his state of being. The heart monitors constantly changing.. too low, too high, normal, and repeat..
His body lies limp on a stretcher. And with a closer look at the damages done, Simon can only think..
He should have just apologized. Told (y/n) he loved him, that he was okay with the man joining the field… fuck..
He should have just been a better lover.

omg i stumbled across your blog recently and your art is gorgeous!!! i love the style and the way you draw dick in particular so much!
also i couldn’t stop thinking about your tangled au it’s so clever! it got me thinking of an au of your au (if that’s presumptuous or annoying feel free to ignore this ask lol). but it always bugged me slightly in the original tangled that rapunzel could remember stuff from when she was a baby bc babies can’t do that lol (obv she also has magic glowing hair so suspension of disbelief and all). but what if dick was actually older when slade (or court of owls tbh take your pick) kidnapped him? like he came under bruce’s care just like in canon after his parents died, and was around long enough to become brothers with jason, and tim had just been adopted when dick and bruce have a fight and dick storms off. not as bad as comics and bruce doesn’t kick him out bc he’s not an ass lol, but maybe dick wants to do more with his powers and bruce is overprotective, so dick storms out fully intending to come back, but slade has been watching him and takes this chance to kidnap him. and when bruce goes looking for him all he finds is a bloodstain and no dick.
and obviously dick is very keen on escaping the creepy dude who’s kidnapped him, but slade brings him to the basement of the tower and begins to torture/brainwash him sort of like the apprentice arc. and over time bc slade sucks and is good at the whole brainwashing thing, dick slowly looses his memories and eventually can’t remember a life outside of the tower at all. and he continues to grow up in the tower with slade as his “father” and he always has this sense that something isn’t quite right, but he can’t put his finger on it. like he has all these weird torture-like scars that he can’t remember getting, but slade tells him that it was from when he was young and before slade rescued him, and that’s why the world is so scary and dangerous and he has to stay in the tower where slade can protect him. and ofc he does bc slade loves him and wouldn’t lie to him right? and he doesn’t know why the name richard doesn’t fit him quite right, or why his heart races when slade appears unexpectedly (that’s how love works right?). but he stays in the tower like he’s supposed to until wally and roy show up.
and slowly after traveling with them he begins to get weird flashes of both painful and good memories, and strange sensations of deja vue. while meanwhile bruce is still all brooding and mourning bc it was his fight that led dick to run away. and added angst is that jason and tim actually remember and miss dick, even though tim had just started to get to know him. and damian is angsty bc he’s the only one never to have met dick (handwavy on the ages just like dc lol). meanwhile the kingdom still remembers and mourns the charismatic adorable prince that they lost.
and then when slade eventually catches up to and captures wally and roy, dick offers to give himself up and promises never to escape if slade spares them. and it’s extra sad bc he finally remembers what he’d be giving up. he remembers bruce and alfred and his brothers, and he remembers all the trauma slade put him through, and he’s willing to go through it all again to save wally and roy (bc is it really dick grayson if he isn’t super self sacrificing lol). and ofc it eventually ends happily and dick is delighted to go back to his family with his new friends and see his old brothers and meet his new brother all with a new haircut.
but yeah overall your au wormed its way into my brain and i couldn’t stop thinking about it lol, it’s so good!!!!

And OMG, this is amazing! Beautifully written, yes, absolutely love all the details, especially Slade's and Dick's relationship in all this. I've actually thought about him being taken later on so Tim and Jason would also remember Dick. But I think I started overthinking everything and made it way too complicated (I think I wrote about 20 pages of notes and stuff, I kinda got lost in them. I was/am pretty obsessed with this AU), so I just reeled back a bit and stayed close to the plot. It also simplifies things; I don’t have to rewrite the whole story, which, with my overthinking skills, would take forever. 💀
And that part with Slade making Dick forget who he was is great. I kept the whole AU pretty open with some stuff for imagination. My running idea at the moment is that he got sick when he was 8, so Bruce found the flower, and later Slade kidnapped him, making him forget everything and thinking Slade is his father.
But yeah, OMG, this is awesome. I totally love it. I tried to make it as detailed as possible story-wise, but at the same time, I really needed to limit myself to finish fast because I was scared I would lose interest or don’t have the patience haha
But Now I’m kinda even more excited about how people will react to the next chapters. 👀

hi there~ first of all i love how you write your oneshots drabbles and stuff so i came to request one with Gun-il the only problem being i don’t know what i want? The only thing i know is that i want it to be angsty with a happy ending and for plot you can write about anything!!

Music played from your phone as you continued applying your makeup. You and Gunil have had this date planned for two weeks, and you couldn’t be more excited.
Once Gunil got home from work, the two of you were going to go out for dinner and to see a movie. It was stereotypical, but that’s part of why you’re excited. This felt like a totally cliche, and you were surprised you haven’t done it yet. You checked the time. 6:14. He should be home any minute. You happily continued to finish getting ready as you waited to hear the front door.

You were finally done getting ready, and you looked amazing. It was around 6:30 now, and you were starting to get a little nervous. Gunil was normally home around this time. You had reminded him about your date when he left for work this morning, so you knew he wouldn’t be staying late. You both planned to go out around 7:00 so he had time to clean up after work, but now you were wondering if you would be pushing your deadline. The movie you wanted to see started at 8:00, so you had to make use of your time. You decided to text him.
hey is everything alright? I thought you’d be home by now
To your surprise, his response was almost instantaneous.
sorry my love :( Jiseok needed help with a song and asked for my help
we’re almost finished. I’ll be home soon
You responded with a quick, “Okay!” before deciding to try and kill some time. You scrolled through social media for a while- getting lost in the depths of TikTok. When you finally worked your way out of your social media trance, it was going on 7:00. You anxiously debated texting Gunil again, but you decided not to. He’s a grown man, he can remember his own schedule. You continued to find more ways to kill time, and the more you waited the more your heart sank.
After what seemed like forever, the door finally opened. You swung your head around to finally see Gunil as he took off his shoes. It was 7:21.
“Hello, love,” Gunil greeted you as he came over to the couch and gave you a kiss on the cheek. “Sorry I’m home so late. Jiseok really needed my help and we lost track of time.”
“It’s okay,” you smiled, trying your best to sound unbothered. You stood up to go get your things before leaving when Gunil stopped you.
“Wow, you look nice! What’s the occasion?”
You took a deep breath. “Gunil, we were-“ he tilted his head in confusion as he watched your confused reaction to his question. “Um… never mind.” You made your way back to your shared bedroom- admittedly walking away a little faster than you wanted to- and closed the door.
“(Y/N)? Hey, what’s wrong? Did I do something? Did something happen?” Gunil trekked his way down the hall as he asked you his questions, and you didn’t respond. He knocked on the door. “(Y/N)? What happened, honey?” He slowly turned the knob and walked in.
Inside, you had already started undressing. Your cute top has been replaced with a t-shirt, and your makeup was slowly getting ruined by the tears that escaped your eyes.
“(Y/N),” Gunil made his way over to you. “What hap-“
“Do you know what today is?” You questioned him. It came out a little more angry than you intended. Gunil quickly wracked his brain.
“Um… Tuesday?”
You sighed. “Do you remember what we were supposed to be doing today?”
Gunil thought even more. He thought about your outfit, and why you seemed to be so nervous about him coming home late. He thought about what would’ve happened to you today. You had a day off, and you didn’t have much planned for the day other than the fact that you wanted to-
“Oh shit,” he remembered. “(Y/N), I’m so sorry. I got so busy at work that I completely forgot. Do you still want to go get dinner?”
“Nope, just forget it. It’s fine,” you sniffled.
“It’s not fine, honey. You were excited for this date and I forgot. This is all my fault,” he frowned as he watched you take the last of your nice clothes off and replace them with something more comfortable. “Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?”
“Don’t worry about it. You’re busy anyways.”
Gunil felt his heart break. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, just…“ you made your way towards the bathroom, “leave me alone.”

Last night, Gunil hardly got any sleep because he felt so bad about forgetting about your date. However, he had a plan. You were both back to work today, so Gunil made sure to tell the guys that he had to leave a bit early today. You both typically got home around the same time, but Gunil had to make sure he was home first.
Gunil was in the kitchen, working hard to perfect your favorite meal. He had cleaned up the apartment, did all of the chores the two of you would usually split, and now he was cooking. If Gunil couldn’t take you out, he would make sure you both had a good night in. The table was set a little more fancy than usual, and Gunil was dressed a little nicer than usual as well. He had to make sure everything was perfect by the time you got home.
Right as Gunil took the food out of the oven, he heard you open the front door.
“I’m home,” you called out to him. You took off your shoes and made your way into the kitchen, following the smell that greeted you once you came in the door. Rounding the corner of the kitchen, you were met with Gunil. “What are you doing? I thought it was my turn to make dinner.”
“Well,” Gunil set the food down on the counter. “I felt so bad about forgetting our date last night that I decided to bring the date to you.” He gave you a soft smile, and you couldn’t help the butterflies that fluttered through your stomach. “The table is set. We can eat now if you’re hungry. I also picked out a movie for us to watch afterwards if you’re in the mood.”
You completely disregarded what he said and rushed towards him, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“I love you so much,” you gave him a kiss, and you could feel him smile against your lips.
“I love you too,” he confessed before pulling away. “C’mon, let’s go eat before the food gets cold, okay?”

sorry if this is weird but what i find most fascinating about astarion and mal's post game story is how sad it is? most people (me included i gotta admit lol) go for a more happily ever after post game while yours is so angsty it makes it so juicy
Oh, not weird at all! I also think that all of their problems and conflict and heartbreak add a bit of spice to their relationship. To me, the game ending marks the beginning of their journey, maybe that's why there's so much stuff happening during that time. It just felt a bit odd to slap a 'happily ever after' sticker on a relationship that's in its infancy. And it's also the same scenario with them as individuals, before the tadpole business they weren't really living, they weren't free to do what they wished, so all the possibilities when they get to make their own choices seemed ripe with potential.
And while I do talk/write mostly about their numerous problems (I personally find writing conflict, be it inner or outward, the most interesting because it drives the story), their tale is not entirely sad.
After the game events, they spend nearly a century together! And while they surely have their moments and fight and hurt each other along the way, they also make one another very very happy. For the longest time, they are the only people they have, the only people they can be vulnerable with. And while at first it feels sort of odd and uncomfortable because of their distrustful nature, eventually they find comfort in that vulnerability.
There are days when they spend hours in bed talking, holding one another, laughing. They end up going on so many adventures. They have a fake wedding, for god's sake!
And even when they do break up after that century of traveling, it's not permanent either. Even after hurting each other so deeply, they can't help but love one another. So they find their way back. Even if the puzzle pieces don't fit together perfectly anymore, they still try. They eventually go back on the road for more adventures. They bite off more than they can chew. It seems like it all ends in a tragedy. And yet, I personally don't think it's where their story ends.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I'm a happily ever after sort of writer generally, so none of my fics have very angsty endings. Just not the sort of thing I tend to write.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
They all have happy endings so far. Not sure I could pick which one has the happiest ending.
Do you get hate on fics?
Not usually, at least not on ao3. Worst comments I've gotten have been on fanfiction.net and I have been ignoring those for decades at this point. I think I don't get much hate on ao3 in large part because I don't allow anonymous comments on my work and people are less likely to leave hate comments when they have to do it with their official account. I've gotten a few odd comments, some weird nitpicky ones, and some demanding ones from time to time. I always try to respond politely to those, but sometimes get a bit snarky.
Do you write smut?
Not as of yet. But I may some day try my hand at it. No promises though. lol

Cannot pick favorites for the life of me. In Teen Wolf, I love Steter, Sterek, Stetopher, Stargent, Steterek, Dargent, Detergent (Derek/Chris/Peter), and so many more combinations of my favorite characters. lol Stranger Things I read mostly Steddie and Ronance, but am open to quite a few other pairings.
What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Yep, my one unfinished WIP Buffy/Stargate crossover, The Road Not Taken. After a decade of agonizing over whether or not to mark it abandoned and give myself grace for not finishing it, I finally did so. Part of me still would love to finish it, but I lost the notes I had on it and doubt I'll ever find the desire to rebuild the story and figure out where I had wanted it to go.
What are your writing strengths?
I'm pretty good at writing natural sounding dialogue and proud of that fact.
What are your writing weaknesses?
I have been called a wordy bitch or told my writing is very dense. So that could be considered a weakness. Otherwise, I'd say writing action scenes and making sure the actions make sense and flow properly.
Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
As long as there's a translation somewhere, I don't mind. Sometimes it is effective to include.

Favorite fic you've written?
Oh man, this is a particularly hard question. I love A Merry War a lot, but ultimately my absolute favorite so far is Hanging On (You're All That's Left to Hold On To). That fic is my baby. Took me two years to finish and I poured a lot of my heart and soul into it.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? omg. umm. merthur fans don't know this yet bc i havent finished posting but it's arthur pendragon long may she reign (BUT it's part of a series, so it's literally fine). idk, i dont tend to write long fics that end angsty. but my angstiest fic in general is probably Hollow-Boned Boy (armand contemplating his human life in the early CoD era) or Vision of the Damned (daniel's turning from armand's pov)

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i love a happy ending!! my series Odysseus in White Silk is probably the happiest ending, and in such an undeserved way hahaha it's so very AU because i was sad after s1 of the show and just wanted them all (and armandaniel) to live happily ever after
8. Do you get hate on fics? i dont think i ever have, but i tend to read comments in good faith too, so maybe someone out there is annoyed that i interpreted their vague dislike comment as a genuine comment or something, idk. in general though, i'll say no
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes but i dont post that often, idk if there's a particular kind, but generally it tends to be a little rougher than is probably appropriate without discussion in real-life situations, but also very...idk my friend described it as very tender, like theyre very clearly in love. which is so funny considering that that kind of tenderness irl gives me fucking hives lmfao
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? oh wow, not in a long time. i do have a wip sitting around rn that's a crossover between london spy and cloud atlas, which is really crazy until you remember that ben whishaw is in both london spy and the cloud atlas movie lol. and cloud atlas is already about weird reincarnations and parallel worlds and stuff, so it isnt too out-there.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? all-time? probably merlin/arthur from merlin (bbc). it's the whole fate-destiny-choice thing, it just compels me like nothing else

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? hmmm, i would like to finish Roswell -- well, kinda (agent carter farm girl / alien crash landing au) because i still have all the original notes and outlines and stuff. i also made a shitty conlang when i was first writing it, which is crazy lol. but it would need some pretty serious revisions, and i would definitely rewrite the first few chapters that i posted years ago. i just kind of lost the agent carter bug, but i might return to that fic if i ever get in the mood for it again.

What are your writing strengths? ooh, i'm not really sure! i get a lot of comments mentioning characters' voices and/or personalities, so i would say maybe that!!! i also feel that i'm fairly good at mimicking an author's writing style when i want to (notably, i do not mimic anne rice when writing vc fic, lol)
17. What are your writing weaknesses? editing for sure. i have at least a hundred fics sitting on my hard drive fully or almost-fully written that i just need to edit. but i would simply rather die than do all of that. it's also why my whole merlin fic got put on pause while i went down the vc rabbithole, because i just can't bring myself to go edit the next chapters lol
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? hmm, i think it's usually unnecessary and comes off as a bit silly. that said, i did do it once (maybe excessively) in Daniel Molloy, Time Bandit (1984 daniel ends up in 1794 theatre des vampires, it's more of a character study than a time travel fic) BUT, let me defend myself -- i did it because daniel doesnt understand french, it's his pov, and he's incredibly confused and distraught for most of the fic. i felt like the dialogue being in french conveyed this sort of "daniel does not belong in this time/place" vibes. but, also, my french is...a little rough. so i'm sure it's an annoying fic for french readers lmao

Favourite fic you’ve written? ok, i have three different answers for this. the fic i think is the best, objectively, in terms of writing and content: The Story of Dani [...] (r63 devil's minion from armand's pov, starting with lestat's house). the fic i am the proudest of, mostly because it was my first "big" fic (it's funny now, bc it's only 41k) and i feel like i grew a lot as a writer while working on it, and i'm still happy with it: The Face of God (les mis pov javert, character study from childhood). the fic i have the most fun with and think about almost 24/7: Arthur Pendragon, Long May She Reign (r63 merthur, canon divergence, this is like a 4-part series that's currently over 300k lmao)

HELL YES. Every time, with the rare exception that if someone’s left six in a row within like one day on the same fic, I might only respond to half of them (although if they’re in depth, you bet I’m responding to every single one). It’s second nature to me: comments just give me such an amazing warm glow and I feel compelled to share it right back <3 I honestly have to stop myself from replying too quickly if I happened to be checking my email in the moment a comment came in. If you’ve ever thought ‘Jesus she’s fast’… I probably wanted to reply even faster. Lol.
6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Honestly, I haven’t written any with angsty endings. I guess I like my fluff, in fanfic. I’m working on an original novel that will eventually have a bittersweet/open ending I think. But that’s going very slowly.
7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Ooh, good question. Maybe Sharp Teeth. They saved the world, after all. Tav goes from impending death, and Rolan from precarity and abuse, to love and a happily (grumpily) ever after.
Ribbons also ends with Yvette and Ludovico living their blissful, unconventional happily-ever-after in Rome. So maybe that too.
8) Do you get hate on fics?
Nope! I don’t think I’ve ever written for pairings that are a locus of that kind of attention. The closest I’ve ever got is spotting a comment in the fanfic subreddit that I’m 95% sure was complaining about the ear licking in Sharp Teeth specifically lol. Which amused me greatly.
9) Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes! M/F mostly, though I’ve also written a bit of F/F. And mostly kinky, lol. The list of kink stuff I want to explore is LONG.
10) Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Not against it, but haven’t had one occur to me yet.
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge. I think I’m too small a fish for that!

Currently co-writing a very goofy Shane/Farmer & Krobus gift fic with my girlfriend for our flatmate! This reminds me I need to work on it. Purely a private fun gift exchange - she knits us socks <3

This doesn’t super work as a question for me, because it’s usually whatever I’m currently obsessed with. But from the sheer number of times I’ve read the book, and watched the 1995 BBC series - Elizabeth and Darcy? (Otherwise I’m just going to say Rolan x Steel Weave Tav. Catrin’s in the doghouse for being difficult to write rn)
15) What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
My Hades fic, ‘Family Gatherings’. I have a fun lil plan for Zag hanging out with each of his surface family in turn (sometimes in pairs/trios) and seeing how Meg/Than feel about it. And it is really fun and sweet - but unfortunately I started writing it at the tail end of my Hades obsession, so whilst I think it’ll get a couple more chapters at least, I’m not really motivated to finish.
I also want to finish my Yvette/Ludovico smut fic Britches, which has a pegging chapter that its audience of like 3 people have been waiting for for years - but since that’s half-written, it will definitely happen eventually!
16) What are your writing strengths?
Hmmm. I think I do characterisation well, particularly in dialogue - I try to imagine the characters speaking their lines to check that what I’ve written works. And sometimes I write really neat descriptive lines.
17) What are your writing weaknesses?
White room syndrome for sure. I tend to hone in on the characters a lot and ignore the surroundings. Connective tissue - moving from one scene to another - can be a bit janky. Sometimes I can overdo facial expressions, and I rely on ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ a lot to describe all manner of feelings.
18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
This is a rogue q, haha. I have done it - Guillermo’s mum talks to him in Spanish - but my Spanish is secondary-school level so it’s not great. I did pre-emptively warn about it though, haha.
19) First fandom you wrote for?
As a kid, thinly-veiled Star Trek isekai that went nowhere. As an adult, WWDITS.
20) Favorite fic you’ve written?
Oh my god. Too hard to choose. I love all my fics. With that said (and with significant recency bias), Sharp Teeth. I’m so proud of writing my first novel (ish) length fic, and it brought me such joy to write.
I’ll also forever love my first fic, Après Theâtre. I re-read it recently for the first time in a while and honestly laughed so much at my own fucking jokes. I think I really nailed the tone of the show and that makes me so happy!

--My angstiest fic ever is a Gallavich one shot called No Regrets, that unfortunately is not online anymore because I was in a mood one day, lol....but I have a little Frankie drabble called Over When it's Over that's on the angsty side...

--I love happy endings, even if you drag characters through the mud first to get them there, lol....I think anything Jack & SunDrop are my happiest fics

--I love a lot of ships....but I am a sucker for a power imbalance, where one partner very obviously loves more (Ian & Mickey, Logan & Veronica)....and since it's fiction, it can be so fun to explore something that in real life I would consider a red flag lol

--There's a part of Jack & SunDrop's story I doubt will ever be completed because well, I've already pretty much given them their happily ever after and I just can't bring myself to visit their past right now lol

--Have never done it, probably never would just out of fear of having google translate steer me completely wrong lol

Yes! I've met some great people through comment discussions. 😁 Probably the only time I don't is when someone comments on multiple chapters at a time on their read-through; in those cases I tend to only respond to the comments that I find the most interesting rather than to all of them, though it depends on my mood.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Um probably "Beast of Venery" (SGA) though it is part 1 of a series that ends much more happily.
Oh! I forgot about "Lie Still" (AtS)! It's a character profile of Wesley Wyndham-Price that literally no one has read (the only fic of mine at FFN that has 0 interactions). Very angsty, and probably very "in my own head" which is why no one else liked it lol.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I am an absolute sucker for happy endings, so this is like choosing... i dunno, a best flavor of ice cream. They're all happy.
I might say "Ivory Fanged" (Kiesha'ra) is the "happiest"? Or maybe "One and One and One is Three" (MCU)? Just because the first involves 2 kingdoms worth of people celebrating, and the second like 5 realities/multiverses of people being (relatively) happy at the end.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really? I do get weird comments sometimes. I got a comment on "Reunion" (IY) where the reader complained about the story being unfinished (when it was clearly marked that it was unfinished/abandoned) and that it had ruined the series to finish it on that note. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
lol. Yes. A lot. Mostly m/m, though I've occasionally branched out into m/m/m, m/m/m/m, and f/m. As far as kinks or types of smut, I honestly don't think I could remember all the scenes I've written, though I love power dynamics so I play with that a lot. And I've written both rape and incest, if by "kind" you mean the stuff that really gets people hot and bothered.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
LMAO. Crossovers are the reason I write fic in the first place. My favorite characters meeting each other is like... the shit. The craziest one (that ever made it to being partially posted anyway) was called "Twenty-Four Hours of Midnight," and was a crossover between The Three Musketeers, Dragonheart, X-Men, and Angel the series.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. I don't think so? But that would be awesome.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
No, but sortof? Eos (Eos_x) did illustrations for my fic "Aubade" so we are credited as co-authors.

I don't know if I can answer this. I ship whatever smashing together of my favorite characters works for me at the moment, and I have a lot of favorite characters. And do you mean to read, or to write? Conceptually, in my head? Or best execution, either in fic or canon? Because I feel like these would all be different answers for me...
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I have a fic currently working-titled "Though Far Away, We're Still the Same" which is a multiverse John/Todd/Rodney fic. I realized I wanted to change the arc of an OC, which will require rewriting the whole thing, and I'm realistically never going to have time for that.
16. What are your writing strengths?
For 3 fandoms now I've written snarky asshole/ancient villain as a ship, and I think I've gotten pretty good at the dynamic lol. I'm pretty good at dialogue I think, and while it's a bitch to write it I'm pretty good at action (as far as making everything make sense spatially).
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Conflict. Usually I start writing a story knowing how the conflict will be resolved and then I lose all interest in it and have to keep reminding myself that the characters are still in it, they don't have resolution yet.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Author's discretion (because you write fic for you) but in general I don't care for reading it unless it's short endearments, non-plot relevant, or well known information. (Or the meaning gets otherwise explained in the surrounding text.)
I never liked it in old books where the author will just throw in lines of French or Latin and expect you to know what it means. I think it pulls the reader out of the story, so I don't recommend it unless that's your intention. If you have two characters who are speaking a foreign language to each other, fully understanding each other, you should write the dialogue in the same language as the fic (because in the reality of the fic, everything is happening in that same language, if that makes sense). Though there are definitely some concepts that don't translate well; when I was writing a lot of anime fic I experimented by having one fandom where I stripped out all the Japanese honorifics and one where I kept them in, and I feel like it gives a different vibe to the fic. I've recently been reading a lot of Mandalorian adjacent Star Wars fics and I have to say I do not care for uses of excessive amounts of Mando'a. A few endearments, concepts that are very common knowledge, fine. But whole sentences? It better not be anything I needed to know for the plot because I am not looking that up.
(lol I did not expect to have such opinions on this topic 🤣)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
OT Star Wars. First posted fic was "The Secret Life of Harrison Ford." Don't read it, it's not good. (Unless you like the same high school humor that me and my high school friends did?)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Technically, this is a fic that isn't posted yet, but it's 90% written so it counts... lol. It's called "Circumvolution" (SGA) and I've been writing it in the background over the last few years whenever "Regina Donum" started giving me fits, so it's very much a work of love and a story I wrote for me. It was originally conceived as the ending of the "My Name Forevermore" series, but it's done (mostly), so I've moved it to be the next big fic I post after I finish "Regina Donum."

8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not lately, but Come With Me did get some bullshit, mostly bc the SoA fandom didn't like the idea of a more submissive Juice Ortiz (dumb, frankly), and they just in general like to hate on OCs.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yup. Didn't start until my spn fic, Half of Something Else, but since then yeah. Most of them have had smut. Sometimes it's more vanilla, but I usually do prefer to play with power dynamics. Some have outright D/s stuff goin on, but I usually don't get that "formal" with it.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I've got the crack-ish roosthoard fic, which I plan on turning into a series, and once I tried to write an X-Files/CriMi but couldn't really get anywhere with it. So usually no, I don't.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I know. I'm not popular enough, which is fine w me.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I was about to say no, but then I remembered back in the day someone translated my Sailor Moon fics. So yes!

Sort of? Like, not officially, but nearly everything I write these days is at least partially co-written with @tonybourdain

Oh gosh. Ummmm...okay, either Jon/Aryn from Farscape or Jaime/Claire from Outlander.

Oh geez. I want to finish my Stand fic SO badly, but idk if it's gonna happen. Also my SoA fic Get You In. I know what I want to happen, but writing it is the hard part. :/ But the one I know I'll probably never finish is Collide, my SVU fic. Like the other two could get finished some day, but that one? Prob not.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, esp banter. I think I'm pretty funny. Also giving my sentences and paragraph a certain rhythm. I have a good ear.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I get stuck in ruts. Like repeating myself a lot.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've done bits and pieces of other languages in my fic, but if I needed anything more complex or longer, I'd get someone who spoke whatever language to help me.

Homicide: Life on the Street, I think. Then very shortly after that, The X-Files. Or maybe vice versa I don't remember.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I really really love my spn fic Half of Something Else. There's this whole bit that takes place near a swamp that I just adore. But also my SoA magnum opus, Come With Me Tonight. I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into that baby.
Right now I'm really enjoying my current hellcheer WiP, With Teeth. I think it's gonna be good.

Educate me… what exactly is the palace AU lol
I'm glad you asked!
The Palace Au is my baby, my greatest work to date. Funnily enough, it started life as an attempt to create a fix-it fic for all the really sad, angsty headcanons about Legend killing Four in the Palace of the Four Sword--hence "The Palace AU". I thought, there's three timelines, and Legend's Timeline had the most bad stuff happen to it, I bet I could finagle a way to save Four and have a happily ever after!
But then headcanons got in the way and I made it sad. Like really sad. It will have a happy ending! But uh yeah. Sadness. Broken hearts. People yelling at me in my inbox for making them cry (which i love to hear tbh heh)
The current main fic is called "What You Look At, You Change", (title taken from a quote from a favorite book of mine), and you can find it either on tumblr or here on Ao3!
You can find out all that there is currently available to the public on the au under the 'palace au' tag on my blog, though I'd recommended waiting to peruse that until after you've read the fic, because there's some pretty major spoilers out there for major reveals in the current posted chapters.

When I first started writing I just created as I went along but now I plot everything out beforehand and they get to writing. Currently all 10 chapters of my next fic are all outlined just waiting to be written!

The both of them had emerged, covered in blood and smelling of blaster fire, but alive. Cody couldn’t even describe how it had felt to push through the crowd and seek out that familiar blond hair and blue and white armor, frantically trying to confirm that at least one person he cared about wasn’t gone. He was still covered in grime and he was positive his wrist was sprained, covered in bruises and cuts and praying to whatever was out there that he could get his hands on one of his brothers and confirm the presence of a heartbeat. By the time he saw Rex his chest was cracked wide open, something angry and raw rearing its head. His lungs ached while his anxiety mounted. He saw Rex, bent over one of the 212th troopers and trying to calm him while the medics reset a broken bone. There was a rough cut over one of Rex’s cheekbones that had scabbed over and while anger surged in Cody over seeing it he couldn’t help the strangled noise he made at the site. The captain turned to it immediately and before Cody even realized he moved he was crushing Rex to his chest and holding him so close it was almost like they were one person. For the first time in a long time Rex buried his face in the crook of Cody’s neck and just breathed him in like he had been just as destroyed. And now, looking at how dead tired his brother was, Cody realized just how badly they both needed to rest. How badly they both needed to break.
🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?
Honestly? Sometimes it's Tech. I'm not nearly as familiar with his personality and voice as I am with the others. I've definitely gotten better since I first started writing but it still needs WORK.
🧪 Do you research for your fics?
Yes. Yes I do! I spent probably too much time researching but I like when things are as accurate as they can be! Although. Sometimes I straight up can't find answers to my very specific questions and use the 'Star Wars Science' excuse when I can't figure something out lol.
💘 Is it easier to write angst or fluff?
I find my writing flows better when it is angsty. When it's the emotional bits I can get lost in long paragraphs of wordy nonsense because the emotional bits are what really drive me to write. I can get that way with fluff too but usually with the more introspective parts. But fluff and comfort really have my heart. It is rare to find a fic of mine without it.
🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
I'm a happy ending person. I love happy endings. I always want to try and tie things up with... maybe not always happiness but hopefulness. I can't see myself writing something ambiguous or bad unless there will be a continuation in another fic. I have absolutely read and enjoyed things with endings that are ambiguous or bad! It just has to feel satisfying.
🤖 Are non-fandom friends aware that you write fanfic?
My partner reads and edits my stuff and other than that not a single non-fandom friend knows that I write at all! I just get so nervous thinking of anyone reading my stuff! And that sounds so silly as someone who posts fanfic but I physically can not be in the same room as someone who is reading something I wrote. I get weirdly nervous about it and just have to walk away.

How do you envision Byler finally getting together post st4?
Oooooh this is fun. I have to think about this I usually just look at what other people write and agree with most of them as long at they end with them together lol.
I really want El to break up with Mike in the first episode or two (definitely before the time jump if that’s happening), and I really want her to tell him that “friends don’t lie” when he says he loves her because I am very stuck on that it would be so good!!
Then I want Mike pining because goddamn it I want the ga to finally pick up on it. Will is probably more focused on dealing with the supernatural because he’s smart like that and mikes doing that too but hes also thinking about will a lot (“it’s just a sub-concern”). also Mike being super protective over will💪💪.
Also I still need Mike to have unsent letters signed “love, Mike.” I don’t want will to find the letters but it would be interesting to have someone else like el or Nancy or Lucas to find them and talk to him about them. After that I can see Lucas or el being the most byler shippers and be behind will giving Mike thumbs up and Mike is dying inside. Nancy would give a similar conversation to what Jonathan and will had.
Also I need more of Mike and will learning more about stuff that they’d kept from each other from previous seasons (like Mike jumping off a cliff and more of wills time in the upside down from s1, which will probably be pretty relevant next season).
They probably get in a fight because will isn’t appreciating overprotective mike, who just wants to protect will but he’s also an idiot. There’s a bit of miscommunication because will doesn’t know mikes also in love with him and doesn’t get why he’s acting like this. Also it’s raining because we love the parallels. Mike, impulsive idiot that he is, yells that he loves him and they kiss. It’s beautiful. Bonus points if it happens in episode 5.
If that doesn’t happen and they want to hold it out until the end and be even more angsty, I’m also a Mike gets vecna-ed supporter (even tho it doesn’t seem likely but I want to see into his brain I know we all joke about it but he probably does have thoughts somewhere in there). I want will to go into his brain too because will has powers (maybe they activate when mikes in trouble I don’t really care but they exist) and I want him to fight off vecna or they fight him off together somehow I don’t care. And then they kiss or something idk.
some more coming out scenes in between and after, they leave Hawkins together, and live happily ever after.

I have an au where the Captain is a primary school teacher and Pat is a breakfast radio dj and former boyband member that I really like but I don’t think I’ll ever have the time and motivation to finish it. I think I mostly just wanted to write the fake Wikipedia articles rather than the actual story.
16. What are your writing strengths?
When I’m writing fanfic I think I’m good at capturing the characters’ voices… but I find it really hard in my original writing, where I have to create the voices from scratch. Also, I think I’m pretty funny. At the very least, I make myself laugh.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I’d like to work on my descriptions and scene-setting. (And my smut)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I avoid doing it because I don't speak any languages and I worry I'll embarrass myself with google translate.

Diana Wynne Jones, unless you count all the Enid Blyton/Rainbow Magic/ Thomas the Tank Engine stuff I wrote in primary school.
20. Favourite fic you've written?
Oh, it has to be Good Life. It started off so silly but I love the theme: life is meaningless, but we create our own meaning. And somehow the total absurdity of it worked in the theme’s favour, and the whole thing came together so well.

Lol I'm going to take you up on venting about MSIV because if that didn't leave me feeling like I fell right off a cliff?? The show just... ended. The closure was definitely in the church conversations, but the dock scene just felt so abrupt and now the show feels unfinished.
I get that they stopped the pandemic by killing CSM but it seems like a wasted storyline too? And what was the point of finding William when he was supposed to be the cure for Mulder - I didn't think he was the start of the virus. Just that CSM wanted to take him with him. So did the virus happen like O'Malley was saying or is he going to be more of a conspiracy nut? Do we just get to ignore MSIII now?
Speaking of, I'm one of those people who staunchly believe that Mulder is William's father. CSM might've messed around with science and genomes and DNA but otherwise, no.
And what about Skinner??????? Scully wants to go check on him for all of 2 seconds and then he's forgotten about entirely. And sure Mulder and Scully had stuff going on, but???
Overall I really did enjoy seasons 10 and 11? I thought most of the episodes were a good continuation of the show, and just updated to what current TV looks like instead of the 90s. And it had some of my favourite episodes. I just have such a hard time keeping up with the myth-arc but I had that issue in the first 9 seasons anyway. The main thing was that Mulder and Scully were there for each other and solving cases.
(Also, it took me so many rewatches to really love The Angels Take Manhattan. I hated it at first, but I now find it to be a good wrap up for Amy and Rory - they ended up together and she chose him fully and completely in the end. And The Doctor being so focused on his own pain that he ignores River's is out of character except that Amy basically died and that I get, things are messy when there's grief, and River holds hers back for The Doctor like the badass she is.)
Either way, now I have to revisit my favourite episodes (MOTW for sure) starting back with season 1. Thanks again for the positivity! I'm glad I watched the revival.

I’m glad you came back here to vent !!! As a certified revival enjoyer, I know exactly how you feel and totally get what you mean. The closure in Nothing Lasts Forever is immaculate but then MSIV just kinda feels like it… stops? I don’t think they ever intended to make it feel unfinished, and personally my interpretation has always been that we just don’t need to see anything else. Obviously, things happened after that moment on the dock, e.g. they probably went back to find Skinner (who may or may not be dead, rip???) and dealt with the consequences of that revelation, but it’s… nothing that we’re not expecting to happen. It’s nothing that we need to witness. We know that Mulder and Scully are going to be free of the syndicate and raise their second child and live happily ever after etc. etc. because it’s literally their only option, and the only way it could ever conclude.
And as far as the virus goes, most people pretty much ignore everything that happens in the My Struggle episodes because of the conspiracy theories and the CSM insanity so you can pretty much pick and choose what stuff you want to keep as canon and overlook everything else. I know that doesn’t sound ideal, but it helps make it more enjoyable. I mean, how many people take Mulder’s brain disease in season 8 to be canon? Like… literally nobody. 😂 Also pretty much everyone considers Mulder to be William’s father, even though it might make it canonically more angsty and/or interesting if Scully believes otherwise at the end.
Honestly, I really love the revival for how new it is. I think it would’ve been a mistake on their part to try and recreate the 90s, even if some of the AI stuff in s11 is a bit on the nose. As long as Mulder and Scully are there solving cases and we get some sweet MSR moments then I’m here for it. And I'm always happy to spread some revival positivity!! <3

so okay the bajiharu (baji x sanzu just in case that’s not clear for some reason) wip is currently sitting at 15k and. wtf man 15k ?? i wrote that ?? damn. anyways idk how many of my posts abt it you’ve read but it’s p much a giant character/relationship study of the two. basically bajiharu across the years and timelines. canon compliant too, which sadly means that baji is dead most of the time but oh well. it is VERY angsty (i mean baji is dead that’s where the angst is starting already... and i mean sanzu’s canon life) and uh. i keep describing sanzu dying in nearly every future timeline but i’m having a ton of fun :D also it’s gonna be angst with a happy ending when i’m finished and probably around 30k words. a 30k one-shot. i don’t think i can even chapter it.... welp. accidents happen. yk this was supposed to be a maximum of 5k of bajiharu in the og shin timeline (the one in which he lives and mikey has the accident and ends up dying and stuff) and the final timeline but. uhh. uhm. yeah honestly idk what i did but my brain wouldn’t let go of them so here we are lol
i would summarise the plot of the fic but there hardly is one ?? like it’s just random excerpts from their lives. i mean some of them are like 3k long too and def have plots in and of itself but there’s no greater plot to be summarised 😭
tho what i can say is that they actually are somewhat together in the og timeline and they are.. happily together. they are NOT happy in fact they are miserable but they love each other in a tender way yk. but but they WILL be happy in the final timeline. and happily together too!! i just need them to be happy pls okay thanks. in between baji is dead so not many feelings on his part (😭😭) but sanzu is a miserable wet cat. also i have the most tragic death planned for him in the bonten timeline bc i am a ‘‘weird on-off-ish romance-ish but they don't wanna admit it's that even though it very obviously is and there is so much emotional (and sexual) tension and my god how can they live like this’’ bonten rinzu truther. wowie. and wouldn’t it be really fun if rindou accidentally shot sanzu on a mission gone heavily wrong that ends in sanzu dying in his arms? yeah <3
also!! akashi siblings!! i very much plan on writing abt them too in some timelines. specifically i think i’ll have sanzu move in with senju in the manila timeline before mikey kills him off (i am so excited to write this you don’t know istg) and i’ll have him move back in with takeomi in that one timeline in which izana takes over and naoto & takemichi end up dying in the future bc i hc that senju was shot dead in the past and sanzu has nowhere else to go after mikey’s death (bc he’s actually dead in that future...) so yeah. akashi siblings <3
also in case you wonder what my current 15k cover so far (i’m forcing myself to write chronologically for once bc i really wanna finish this and i’ve got a lot of scenes i’m excited to write i can use to push through the others), it’s the og timeline, the timeline in which draken gets killed by kiyomasa, one of the two following timelines in which draken survives and ends up on death row (i decided to cut one of them bc imo they’re too similar to write abt again), and some past stuff happening before that. which. is not a lot. just now realising how unmuch that is actually wtf it feels like sm more- okay anyways i plan on writing about the bad toman timeline with takemichi as executive, the manila future, bonten future, the future timeline after that with izana, and naoto & takemichi dying, possibly some tenjiku timeskip stuff, and then ofc the final timeline. (i. i gotta say i hope those 30k aren’t lowballing it by like 10k bc if you consider that i’ve written for three timelines plus some inbetween bits and i’m planning for another five whole timelines with inbetween stuff-- ayayay bajiharu is gonna be the death of me)
uhm this is already mUCH longer than planned help buuuut some k polycule stuff bc i love them and they love each other and they are happy. okay so ik you read my posts abt them so i’ll just start with them in their mid/late thirties, finally settled down somewhere they feel safe and they actually like :3 cough cough switzerland mayhaps ? cough cough. yk it can’t be japan anyways... and switzerland is far away...... and i know it well....
okay. they adopt a cat. or maybe two. probably two actually. two cats for them bc they’d like some company other than themselves and kazutora loves cats anyways. i believe that koko is actually more of a dog person bc inupi, but he’s the type of guy to go ‘‘ofc YOU GUYS can get a cat. it’s gonna be YOUR cat. YOU will have to take care of it. i won’t (unless absolutely neccessary.)’’ and then a month or smth after they get a cat kazutora & kakucho are away for a weekend for.. work or smth idk and when they get home koko & the cat are sleeping on the couch while he’s hugging the cat close to his chest, and there’s cat toys all over the floor bc he spent hours playing with the cat. he will still refuse to admit how much he loves the cat but he continues to play and snuggle with it whenever his bfs (husbands? i feel like they’d wear matching wedding rings and call each other husbands even if they legally aren’t bc poly marriage is forbidden) aren’t there to see. also this is really random but kakucho is the small spoon, kokonoi the middle spoon, and kazutora the big spoon. or two of them just sleep hugging the third person.
kazutora would work at a pet shop again i think. maybe he’d even study medicine to become a vet assistant? tbh i’ve always seen him doing that more than chifuyu or baji (tho i love vet student baji too <3). struggling with giving the other two jobs bc after bonten i don’t think kakucho would still want to work with kids (tho i def see him doing some kind of charity work in his free time) and kokonoi... he can’t sponsor anyone like this nor could he do finances for anyone, and he would never ever work at a bank. he’d still like a high paying job/smth at least loosly related to money tho. maybe like some sort of secretary for someone in finances? idk. very open to ideas for these two bc well i am stuck lol.
i think they’d mostly just try to take it slow and enjoy their more peaceful lives now (well kazutora’s life was pretty peaceful before too.. but kokonoi & kakucho) without having to worry about illegal and dangerous and whatnot else stuff. they deserve it okay they all had to go through too many things 😭
also more random stuff about them. kokonoi is banned from the kitchen not because he’s a safety hazard or because he burned down the kitchen once or smth but because he keeps wanting to cook overly expensive gourmet foods, and while they do taste good they are way too expensive and take way too much. plus he HATES having other people in the kitchen with him (he straight up locks them out) and refuses to leave the kitchen while he’s cooking even if he has to wait two hours for something to slowly simmer on low heat so essentially he AND the kitchen are gone for half a day if he wants to make dinner. he doesn’t really mind the kitchen ban though so it works. i think kakucho enjoys cooking the most, but he and kazutora both cook a lot. and sometimes kokonoi forces himself to wake up extra early on weekends (like. 6am. and then he’s done at 7am. and the other two wake up at 9am when early, more like 10am to 11am bc weekend and kokonoi has to wait with his beautifully prepared breakfast for hours) to make pancakes for them all <3
uhh that’s everything in my brain rn i think. i hope. and this is already a fucking essay so whoopsies. anyways that was it, i very much hope you enjoyed my long ass rambles <3 fr fr i missed writing these rambles for you,, but aa i can do that again!! :D
