oh boy, let me tell you jack o'connell is A TRIP. i've been in love with the man since 2006, he's been labelled the next big thing several times but it seems he's genuinely not interested and just does what he does. he's so so fucking good, highly recommend watching starred up, 71, eden lake, little fish, this is england (so many great english working class actors started out in this) and skins just bc it's iconic and his character is legendary. can't stress enough how damn good he is, i luv him

I loved him in Chatterley! He's very good and quite charismatic--a perfect Mellors, and he had great chemistry with Emma. His vibe is very different from a lot of the actors who come out of the UK. It actually felt like he could manual labor, lol. I also felt like, and I think this was a combo of the direction, writing, and his performance--his Mellors felt the most like his own character. A lot of the time, Mellors basically comes off as a sex outlet for Connie, and like... The book does have a lot of commentary on class, but I don't know if that kind of interpretation serves the commentary *correctly*.

Thank you for the recs! I really do love checking out an actor's filmography after seeing them in one (1) thing.

3. 1999 - Brookline: The U.S. team made a historic comeback in the "Battle of Brookline," winning after trailing Europe by 4 points going into the singles matches.

4. 2012 - Medinah: Europe made an incredible comeback to win on American soil, with Martin Kaymer securing the winning point against Steve Stricker.
