Yes!! I love little Klaus so much!

He isn’t totally sure what age he regresses to yet but he’s pretty sure it’s usually under the age of 7

Because of how frequently he was high or drunk over the years he has had a bit of trouble identifying if it was substances or regressing making his movements uncoordinated or his head fuzzy or his emotional state more sensitive. Now that he’s sober hes slowly starting to figure out the ins and outs of his own regression

Involuntary regressor and has only recently been really addressing it

He’s pretty accepting of it in a “this might as well happen” sort of way. He tries not to let it bother him and knowing his siblings regress too helps but there is always reginalds voice in the back of his mind calling him weak or an embarrassment for his behavior

Little Klaus finds all of his big feelings very overwhelming and confusing and tends to shut down when faced with them. It sometimes takes some prompting for the others to figure out what wrong

He’s pretty talkative when small unless he’s really upset but he tends to lisp or mix up his words while talking which can sometimes make it difficult to understand him. He also loves to just make up words and then use them like everyone else knows what they mean already. His siblings have taken to keeping a sort of dictionary of made up Klaus words

His moods are unpredictable. Sometimes he will regress and be very silly and happy, others he will be silent and clingy and withdrawn, sometimes he will even be incredibly grumpy or angry. It’s hard to tell which version of little Klaus you are going to get

He will nap but it’s always in the strangest places. His family has joked that he must be allergic to his bed after finding him passed out bent over the back of the sofa for the 5th time

little Klaus once lined up all the kitchen chairs in a row and then fell asleep underneath them

He has a bad habit of hiding and then falling asleep in his hiding spot and making everyone watching him panic because they can't find him

Klaus will run and leap into his siblings' arms insisting they catch him. Most of them manage it pretty well. Ben always feels really bad when Klaus forgets to make him corporeal enough and isn’t able to catch him at all

Baths have always been a source of great comfort for Klaus and he has a truly astonishing number of rubber ducks

He loves to go on “treasure hunts”. It's never clear what exactly the treasure he’s looking for is but he has a great time doing it. He also loves to play elaborate pretend games and dress up

Big fan of sugary snacks. He also loves breakfast foods. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, french toast, bacon, hash browns, you name it he will eat it at any time of day

Messy little. He’s been banned from eating on the couch after spilling three things on it in one evening

Surprisingly musical while small and loves playing maracas, tambourine, and kazoo at all hours of the day. He will also sing along to any songs playing over the radio and he knows a very impressive number of them by heart

Klaus doesn’t get too attached to material possessions due to always being on the move. He does however always keep Dave's dog tags around his neck even when small and will rub them between his fingers when he's sad. Being able to see Ben is also pretty important to him since he’s used to his brother's presence.

He has a habit of stealing his siblings clothing to wear while regressing. They bring him a lot of comfort. His favorite siblings to steal from are Luther and allison

He will use a paci on occasion although it’s usually a tool to indicate when he has confided something about himself to his family but doesn’t want to answer follow up questions because he doesn’t feel big enough to adequately explain

He doesn't like diapers very much however he has consented to being changed into them on the rare occasion that he does have an accident

Ben has known about his regression the longest for obvious reasons but Dave was the one who helped him figure out what exactly it was. Once Diego told him about his regression he became very open about his own and it didn't take very long for everyone else to learn about it.

Ben took care of him as best he could for years and Dave was his first real living caregiver. He never asked any of his siblings to be his caregiver however Diego was pretty quick to step in and be that for him when he started slipping around his family. From there five also started stepping in. Viktor, Allison and Luther aren’t really sure what to do with him and usually stick to babysitting. Sparrow Ben accidentally proves his resemblance to their Ben when he also falls into the role of caregiver

Little Klaus does not have as thick of skin as big Klaus and can be very sensitive which his siblings learned the hard way after a bit of teasing that big Klaus would have snarked back to or ignored caused little Klaus to burst into tears

He isn't sure exactly when he started regressing but he suspects it might have started as early as the mausoleum

I'm slowly starting to see more characters as regressors, and I think it's really fun, and would like to share some of them! (Including agere petre and flip!)

Natsuki from ddlc regresses to small ages like 2-4, sometimes 5, but always with a pacifier.

Sayori (also from ddlc) is an older regressor, usually around 6-10, she doesn't really use a paci but she uses teethers more because she likes chewing.

Finny from Black Butler is a puppy pet regressor, who pretty much has to be outdoors the whole time unless its freezing or dark.

Bret hand from inside job is a flip! He regresses from a huge age range, and for him its hard to put a pinpoint on his age.

Klaus Hargreaves from the umbrella Academy is also a flip, but caregiver lean, like he regresses, but definitely not often, he (for some reason) likes caregiving than being cared for.

That's all the headcanons I can think of at the moment about regressors for both age and pet, and flips! Maybe later I'll share who I headcanon as caregivers!

CG!Diego Hargreeves Headcanons

Now, Diego didn't exactly have what one would call a typical childhood. Powers aside, his father barely had anything to do with any of them if it wasn't related to official Umbrella Academy business (whether it be training assessments or press conferences). However, he did have what he believes to be the best mom a boy could ask for. She was patient with him and showed him the affection he needed; despite being a robot, she was more human to him than his father ever was. So, Diego heavily bases his caregiving style around one question: what would Mom do? He wants to make sure he's doing right by his little one, just like how his mom did right by him.

For him, caregiving is a safe way to express his own vulnerability with another person. Diego allows himself to be soft for the first time in a long time, and for once doesn't find himself in a constant competition to prove himself. His little one believes that he's enough, that he's good enough and it's honestly such a big relief for him. He's spent his whole life trying to be wanted and needed—to have earned being somebody's number one—so to have someone else give that so freely? Almost feels too good to be true; it's yet another reason that Diego wants to be his best self for them.

While this "best self" of his largely the same (because Grace did a good job raising him), there are a few noticeable differences. One of those differences has to do with patience. He'll be the first one to admit he can be a bit more than impatient at times. When it comes to them however? He's the most patient person there is. Diego knows that kids, especially little kids, need time—time to adjust, or process, or understand, or explain. Sometimes it takes a minute for whatever reason! And he's nothing but encouraging, helping them find their words (or communicating in other means, should it be a nonverbal day for them). This seemingly new found level of patience bleeds into the time he isn't caregiving as well (which surprises everyone, himself included).

And it's no secret that he might not be the greatest when it comes to talking about feelings, either. But that's with his feelings. Diego puts in a lot more effort to understand their feelings and help them work through them, should the need arise. He remembers that his mom would prompt him with certain questions, sometimes just simple yes or no questions, until reaching the heart of the problem. He follows that same method, and even remembers that he's supposed to relate something back to them. So that they know they aren't alone, that it's okay to feel the way they do. That vulnerability is in turn rewarded, helping both them and himself.

One of his favorite things to do is read to them. He remembers plenty of cozy nights where Grace would read to him, while also encouraging him to read certain passages along with her. And while Diego knows that that was largely to help improve his speech, he can't help but associate the activity with good memories, the kind that are soft and warm and comforting. So even though his regressor may not need the same sort of help he did, he still thinks it's a nice bonding activity. Especially on days where they're at their smallest; they can snuggle up with a bottle of warm milk and listen to him read until they drift off into a comfortable sleep, drooling on his chest long before he manages to reach the book's end.

Try as he might, Diego just isn't the homemaker that his mom was quite literally programmed to be. That is to say, the homemade favorites from his childhood that he tries to recreate special for his little one? Turn out to be less than successful, always coming out a little off and not like how he remembers them tasting (despite using his mom's recipe cards). Though it's frustrating, his little one doesn't seem to mind too much, not knowing and being unable to tell the difference like he can. Although Diego does consider himself lucky that they like dino nuggets and mac and cheese so much, because that one he can totally do on his own and knows it turns out right.

Diego would want to introduce their small side to his siblings at some point. They are a major part of his life after all, as is being a cg, and he'd be lying if he said he didn't want to show off how adorable they can be. But he's hesitant, given that they are. You know. His siblings, who have always had a penchant for trouble. But his little one is insistent and he can't say no to them, not when they give him the puppy dog eyes. Diego is clearly protective of them and is on the defensive because of that protective streak, but he doesn't need to worry. They're all just as ready to spoil their brother's kiddo as he is. Plus they recognize that this whole being a cg thing is good for Diego and can see the positive changes in him because of it.

Extra: Klaus uses, kiddo, little love, and love as petnames. It does start a little spooky, but it's okay!

You're alone in your room, it had been almost an hour since you regressed, and at first you were okay, but then when you realized there wasn't anyone else in the house the mood changed. It was quiet and the sun was rapidly setting outside, leaving you curled up in the corner on the cold floor. As you stared at your drawings on the wall in front of you, the door downstairs opened and then slammed closed, the force making the ground beneath you shake a little.

You heard steps coming towards your side of the house, whoever was inside was opening and closing all the doors. They reached yours, the door opened with such force that made your drawings lift up since you hadn't pinned the bottoms down.

"Oh here you are!" He said in a cheery tone, slightly slurring his words, the relief you felt when you saw him spread through all of you, it was Klaus, your big brother.

"You okay love, it's really dark in here?" He asked as he turned on the fairy lights you had put up together. He walked over to you and sat down, criss crossing his legs. Klaus threw his head back and rested it on the bed. You didn't answer him, not because you didn't want to, but because words were too hard, you just leaned over and rested your head on his shoulder.

Klaus had been around you a few times when you were regressed, he had quickly become your safe space, and even though you weren't always verbal when you slipped, he never seemed to mind and instead would come up with lots of fun games for you two to play together, sometimes you'd even go down to the kitchen together and raid the pantries pretending you were pirates.

After a few moments of silence, Klaus sighed and in suddenly new high spirits, said "okay! Come on kiddo!" He ruffled your hair and stood up only to kneel in front of you with his back facing you. "Piggy back time! Gotta get up and movin'!"

You complied and climbed on, wrapping your arms around his neck tightly, he lifted you up high.

"All secure?" He said, not waiting for an answer as he walked out the door and immediately began to run down the hall.

"Watch out Earth! Here comes your new ruler! Woooosh!" He was flying you around like you were on a spaceship, twirling and jumping. It was so fun, you felt so high up and you were going so fast that your hair was swinging away from your face. Finally your emotions gave in and you began to laugh, Klaus giggling along with you. He came to a stop not long after and put you down, a big grin still sprawled across your face.

He graced your cheek and said, "now that we got that smile back, how about a movie and some colors, little love?"

You nodded excitedly as your favorite stuffy made its way into your arms, you don't know when Klaus grabbed it from your room, but you were happy he did. He grabbed hold of your hand and off you went to the greenhouse on the roof. Since Allison and Luther never used it anymore, you and Klaus had put up fresh, clean blankets and pillows, you left a laptop there for movie nights, along with crayons and coloring books just for you.

Growing up I'm the umbrella academy wasn't exactly easy. Interesting yes. Fun, not always..

You were one of the least liked by Reginald as you always followed whatever Five did. You were number Eight amd you and Five might have well as been attached at the hip.

You had always been too innocent and due to this Five was always extremely protective of you.

When Five decided he wanted to test his true capabilities you were at his side for the whole process. When he got stuck in the future you were at his side.

Due to your powers you had not aged even in the future so now you, a 10 year old and Five, now a fully grown man are the only people left from the apocalypse.

There wasn't much to do however now your mind was forced to stay 10 years old, Five decided it would be nice for you to have some items to make yourself feel comfortable and happy. By the time he found a way to get back into the past you had a soft bunny Teddy, that you always had on you. You also had two superhero figurines. It wasn't much but it kept you entertained.

You guys were now back in the past. Where your supposed to be. The apocalypse happens in mere days and yet Five refuses to let you think about it. How could he..

The only issue that lied was that Five had things he needed to be doing... He needed to make sure the apocalypse doesn't happen. So much to his dismay Klaus volunteers to watch you. Begrudgingly Five agrees knowing that it's more of a case that you will do your own thing and Klaus will make sure you don't get injured, he might even play and games you want to play with you.

Five loved his family more than anything.

You, and all his brothers and sister included. And he'll be damned of he lets the world end and endanger his family...

Honestly seems like he's either gonna call you a very basic pet name, like little one or gonna call you something fiery like little dragon. Either way, he tries his best to take care of you and loves doing it <3 (Although.. Luther agere headcanons

Has a wide age rage and regresses between ages 0-10 however he is most often toddler or baby age

His regression was incredibly frequent while on the moon. Since coming back to earth it happens less often however when he does regress he tends to stay regressed for a very long time

His regression is involuntary and he isn’t very good at stopping himself from slipping or at pulling himself out of headspace

He first started regressing while he was on the moon. He didn’t know what was happening or what to do and he had no one he could turn to for help. Once back on earth he was able to figure out what was going on but that time when he didn’t know what was happening was really scary for him

He is learning to accept his regression much more as he begins to heal from some of the trauma inflicted by his childhood and his time on the moon

Little Luther is even worse than big Luther at keeping his feelings a a secret and there is almost never any doubt from others about what he’s feeling

In younger headspaces he sometimes goes completely nonverbal and even when he’s older he tends to not be very talkative. A lot of this stems from the fact that for the first 4 years of him regressing he was alone and didn’t have anyone else to talk to so he’s still adjusting to having people around him

He is surprisingly shy however this is mostly due to the isolation from the moon and with time he begins to become more outgoing. He is very eager to please which tends to manifest in obedience and anxiety

When he’s little his memories tend to get kinda fuzzy

It’s really 50/50 on weather or not he will nap when he’s regressed

Because of his size it’s pretty difficult to pick him up but luckily his siblings have found some solutions. Ben can use his tentacles to help carry him and Klaus once used several ghosts to help lift Luther into the air just to pretend he was stronger than Diego who wasn’t able to pick Luther up by himself.

He loves to play with his action figures when small and is constantly begging Diego to join in his games. When he’s older he also likes to play catch and when he’s younger he loved to be swaddled up and read to or shown movies/cartoons

Very messy eater. Even at older ages he tends to get food all over his face, hands, clothes, the table, and the floor

He has been working hard to heal his inner child and it turns out part of that has ended up being buying whichever toys catch his eye when he goes out to the store. Being able to get himself the things he always wanted but could never ask for or receive from Reginald has been very good for him. Because of this he has slowly amassed a collection of stuffed animals, legos, remote control cars, playdough, and more.

His favorite toy is a stuffed bear that is dressed in a little astronaut suit

When regressed he dresses in the biggest clothes he can possibly get his hands on. Due to his size most clothing fits him too tightly and when he's regressed that becomes uncomfortable. Additionally the bigger clothing helps him feel small

He owns a paci but prefers to suck his thumb even though he knows that’s not very good for him

When he is in a younger headspace he does need diapers and even in older headspaces he will sometimes still wear them because he finds them comforting

The rest of the academy either learns about his regression by accident or is told about it. Since so many of them regress as well they are all very accepting. The sparrow academy and lila find out officially a bit later however most of them already had their own suspicions.

While going through some of his dads things Luther found out that Reginald had know he was regressing while on the moon the entire time but had done nothing to help or even inform him in any way

His siblings, and later Sloane usually take care of him while he’s small. Diego, Victor, and Sloane take care of him the most often
