Refusing to Yield Chapter 18

This is based on real life. Just the name has been changed to protect the person identity. There is mention of all types of abuse. If that is a trig, please don’t read. Reader get into a relationship with Kim Seokjin and Min Yoongi but all BTS is in this series.

I told her my name was little w and she told me hers was Ann. I go we use code names and I said how do you like Kim. I love it that is how Ann became Kim back home. I ran his name it did come back with charges, but he told Ann and us they were from his father that he couldn’t sit by watch his mother and sister get beat anymore. She did try to call me back that night to get her, but they were watching her phone for calls to us and to Tim for help. She tried to get out a window, but they were nail shut. I feel bad forever letting her go to that party by herself and not being able to protect her from them for over 2 years. When I left my parents home. The thought that was going through my mind was go to the river and jump off the bridge but I my way there I met little w who asked if I was okay and if I needed help. Little w you gave me a place to stay and made sure I was safe no matter what. You saved me not only physical that night also mentally. You never let me go through anything alone when I had to deal with my family. You gave me the emotionally support I need right then and there. I had missed that when I graduated from school because everyone who is in this room who I went to school with gave me that emotional support every day to keep pushing forward no matter what. The second time I had the thought was when I couldn’t make the tape again for the military and not knowing what I was going to do again. That is the day I met papa m, Namjoon, Jimin and Fred trying to get back to the shelter. I was at the edge where if I couldn’t get back to the shelter for the night I was going to find a bridge and jump off it.

I had asked a lot of people that day for direction back to the shelter they looked at me like I was scum but when I met all of you. None of did. Papa m you asked if my family knew where I was, and I told you I was safe if they didn’t know. You didn’t push the subject to find out why. You just asked Fred to drive me back there and make sure I got a good meal in me. Namjoon and Jimin to make sure I got in safe and made sure I could stay the night. When the staff asked if I had an emergency contact, I said no. Namjoon step in gave them their information for me then he gave me the apartment address and told me to come over the next day to hang out. When the rest of you found out in was at the shelter you all wanted me to move in with you it touch me. The same way when little w took me in not knowing me. It gave me hope again that there are good people in the world.

The night I was rush to the hospital from the shelter and when Jin came walking through the door I knew I wasn’t going to be alone in the hospital not knowing what was going on with my back and you all decided that I needed to move in with all of you because of the physical problems. It gave me the same emotion support I need to hang on just a little longer knowing things might change around. When the nightmares, flash backs and the trouble that came along after all of you took me. None of you ever turned your back on me and always made sure I felt loved, cared and safe. Now that everyone is on the same page. I know asked nine of you not to judge me, but I need to know from each one of you how feel about the thoughts and if it changes anything. I asked the nine of you not to judge me so I could at least say everything but now I have been able to get it out in the open. I need the nine of you to tell me if your opinion change about me and you all can tell me whatever you want, and I will not hold it against any of you? Papa m started first. Ann honey first I want to say I am proud of you because this is the first time you talked about your feelings without anyone asking you.

I stand by what I said the first time I got you out of the flash back before we knew that you are my daughter. I love you and I will protect you like a father should protect his child. You are my child and with everything you went through growing up and afterwards you push through it with support by many people and I am grateful everyone in this room who helped you along the way before you came to me. Uncle Jim is now talking peanut I will never walk away from you no matter what your thoughts were in the past like what your dad said you pushed through everything that was thrown at you and you still turned out to be a very loving and caring young lady. Fred is now talking my opinion doesn’t change. I will always treat you has my little sister. I will say anyone in this room who holds your thoughts against can leave because you have been through hell and back but you still no matter what you always try to look for the good in everyone. When you should be the one judging everyone if they have your best interest at heart. Bryan is talking now. Ann first they were just thought and second with everything you have been through it doesn’t surprise me. If you never had the thought or tried to hurt your myself but like the papa m, your uncle and Fred said it doesn’t matter you made it through, so my opinion of you doesn’t change at all your caring, kind and you live life to the fullest that you are able to. This way if I was fall out of the chair or off anything all your phones will be alerted and told right where I am at. I just need to added Bryan, Greg and Jason to it. This way if Jason is around, he will get the alert also.

Honey that was a smart idea to added that feature, but I don’t want you to take unnecessary risks anymore. Okay papa m I promise no more unnecessary risks. Who all would like a smores’? Peanut I already know you want one but who else? Everyone said yes to wanting a smores’. This is a good away to unwind from a hard week of work and to relax before we go on tour for three months. Princess you are right we should do this every weekend no matter what we have done that week. Can we do after we get back from the tour? Yes, honey we can do it, but we also need to find you a neurosurgeon as soon has we get back? Bryan should we tell them, or should we wait until the tour is almost done tell them?

Ann, we need to tell them now since you kind of let the cat out of the bag. What are you two talking about papa m is asking. The day we went to the family doctors to get my treat. We also saw a neurosurgeon. The date for the surgery is set for three weeks after we come back from the tour. What? You all heard me the surgery is going to be three weeks after we get back from the tour. The surgeon looked over all the scans and yes that the surgery will help relieve some of the pain and some of the damage might fixes itself. The surgery is not a 100% miracle and I told him I understand that. I just want some relief from the pain and hopefully be able to use my legs again.

He already knows about the safety precautions. We can security around the clock while Ann is in the hospital and there is no inpatient physical therapy. Since we have a pool here, we have set it up aqua therapy at home. Princess are you okay with all of this? Yes, I am okay with all of this. Bryan was there to help me understand everything and he voiced the concerns about the safety and that I take flash backs because of past physical abuse. The hospital is also aware if I am to be given any medicine orally. That it needs to be called my treat and it needs to be put in pudding or yogurt but not applesauce since I don’t like taking medicine. They don’t know the really reason and Bryan is going to try make sure they don’t find out. Papa m I am sorry that we didn’t include you on this decision, but I remember that you wanted to be seen.

On Monday Bryan looked up neurosurgeon he found one who had a patient that is a UFC fighter and two years after his surgery he win the heavy weight championship belt. We talked about and decided to give him a call see if UFC fighter could win the heavy weight belt two years after his surgery, he would be the best option for me. Papa m is talking now honey believe I am not mad that I wasn’t include but you should have to us that you had appointment so Jin and Yoongi could have went with you. I know I should have told all of you but with the tight schedule we all had for this tour I didn’t want to both any of you.
