new show alert! i am currently watching extraordinary attorney woo week to week (about the first autistic attorney in korea and the cases she tackles as a rookie) and i just started it's okay to not be okay, both on netflix! i know the latter got a lot of hype while it was airing but that was before i had really given a lot of kdramas a shot (i also don't generally like jdramas despite being japanese because i find the writing a little tumultuous buuuut these newer dramas are so well written and acted???) and now that i'm full force into them i can't stop watching more. i also recently stanned fromis_9 because i watched the hybe picnic (for svt obviously) and i literally fell in love with every single one of them and i've been bopping to their music for literal years so. took the plunge! and i saw that gyuri was in its okay to not be okay so! I HAD TO WATCH ITDKJSFHSDKJHF

i am very fortunate that i have a network of friends and family and we all pay for different streaming services and share passwords LMAO like me and my partner only pay for hulu and amazon prime but i'm on my parents' netflix still, my brother has hbo max, and @babiemingoo lets me use her disney+ account sdfhjkhafsk sharing is caring!

ngl these have been trying times but i am okay! i'm managing best i can, keeping my head up, and continuing to indulge in hobbies even if i barely have time for them, because that's how i've learned to stay sane haha. and things are looking to be heading in a positive direction after today so we good!

Well first episode done, i am not 0.00305810397% of the way done supernatural! Why have I cursed myself with this burden.

Overall I did really like this episode! I think that it does create intrigue into the storyline, while also introducing the monster of the week format. However I wish they did a better job a meshing the two together, it did feel like I was watching two separated shows that happens to smashed together. One monster of the week and one plot driven.

As for the monster of the week, I like women in white, i think they are a cool narrative function and aren’t region specific, they also aren’t indigenous folklore or spirituality significant / revered figures something that supernatural has a tendency to uh…. Lets say butcher, something that i can’t wait to deal with next episode.

For the arc’s plot I do think it does what it set out to do… introduce the plot of the show. Two brothers trying to find their father, who has gone missing. That’s really all I can say because honestly this arc was my least favorite the first time I watched supernatural I cant see that changing this time.

yeah, I still keep up with them even though its been tough without WiFi but I got YouTube red for that so I can go somewhere with WiFi and download shit

I can watch both lazer teams and slow mo guys’ super slow show with red and that’s ~$11 a month, as well as other YouTube red stuff if I want. rt first got pushed up to like $15 a month??? and I’ll have access to a few shows (day 5, crunch time, etc) that I may or may not like that will only have a season or two anyway BECAUSE nobody is watching them BECAUSE rt first has become such a pain

honestly one of my least fave things about living in australia is that any of the huge popular shows like game of thrones, younger, the bold type, big little lies, penny dreadful, shameless and even pretty little liars before it went onto netflix etc etc etc and even most reality tv shows are either hidden behind several different streaming services like: stan, hayu (reality tv), netflix, amazon prime video; which are all priced around $6.99 to $9.99 a month for basic coverage. then there’s also whatever else decides to come to australia like hulu that will eventually charge similar prices for their different subscription plans (and im not counting shows on free to air tv services and f2a services that offer free streaming here like abc iview or sbs on demand)....

or if you want to have all of those above shows and more on one service you have to pay like $104 a month for a full package on Foxtel Now/foxtel, if you have shows that are on different channels (which they probs will be). like yes i’m aware that i could do the torrenting stuff but somehow i’ve always done that wrong and it’s never worked for me lmao. just. why does everything have to fucking cost money??? hahaha.

so, i end up seeing all of the shows that i listed above and more on my dash, but they’re mainly all cut off for viewing for me. and it’s all bc i can’t subscribe to the 50 (ok not really) different pay by month streaming subscription services or afford the $100 a month for fuckin satellite tv (my dad had to terminate our foxtel/austar back in 2014 or 2015 bc it was too expensive for us). like all i have is netflix on the cheapest price of $9.99 a month bc i can’t afford the other plans for 2 screens or unlimited screens and HD 4K viewing. like why the fuck is streaming so expensive???? ugh.

Its very VERY good, so well acted and written, the characters are so touching and feel so real I'm sad that people don't seem to have watched it :( (if u want me to expand on the tw for the wilds just ask me bcse better be careful) also the movie you're talking abt seems interesting as I am a nerd I'll look it up and might even watch it tonight!! And yeah, I really enjoyed little women, saw it in the theater with my mom because it was her fave childhood book, and we both cried agsgqhf it also made me long for the countryside, as I grew up there and now live in a city... I miss being a horse girl sometimes but I do reconnect with that whenever I go see my grandparents who have rabbits and chickens and even sheep, its pretty awesome tbh
