Hamish, after the whole boar incident in chapter 12: your existence is so confusing.
North: what do you mean?
Hamish: your presence is annoying, but the thought of anything bad happening to you upsets me.

As a certified Australian with an accent, I want to share an accent I think is above all others in terms of attractiveness. Scottish accents. I don't care if you think it's silly but I saw a video of a Scottish man reading aloud and the things I would do to hear it again is unimaginable. It has always been this way for me.

re: that last reblog
I'm still. like I have... nothing yknow? which isn't like. unfamiliar to other mixed indigenous kids from parents born in the '60s but it's also like. I don't even have anything concrete from my white parentage. I have vague clues and ideas but. I'm 3rd generation here from that side of my family at least irt my grandfather, who's parents fled ??? during a war with him. and I know nothing abt my matertnal grandmother's family other than most of her close relatives are abusers/sex offenders/sided with the prev 2 options and I never got more info than that.
and if I don't know anything abt my dad and how he grew up. the most I know is he's Indigenous he was born in/around the 60s and if she is his bio mother my paternal grandmother was institutionalized. that's it! that's all I get! and it was second hand and gruff clipped answers on a car ride when i tried to confirm.

who knows hopefully this will age really badly but i wish americans understood that there could never be an irish reunification like. anywhere in our lifetime probably. and if there WAS it would most likely provoke a brutal civil war. and most importantly - due to said threat of civil war - most people who actually live in the north just want like. peace. equality. an end to sectarianism. and not to be cynical but irish reunification wouldn’t actually do much to address the issues faced there i.e poverty, sectarianism, lack of healthcare/womens & LGBT rights etc etc. which are issues with their roots in british occupation so you know it’s all delicately interconnected but its mildly frustrating to see the sopping wet kitten of europe like only ever being discussed as revolution fantasy material for irish americans 😐
