Okay so just stumbled across your blog and I wanted to tell you that your fic, go tell it on the mountain, gave my poor doctoral committee front seats to one of the weirdest hyperfixations they’d ever seen me have, because, at that point, they were having me read tons of nonfiction books as examples for how to write my dissertation as a popular science book and because I had just read your fic, I was instantly, instantly fixated on mountaineering so these poor professors ask me two months in a row what I’ve been reading and I just reel off all your reading recs from that fic and then some and get these blank stares because

I was doing the degree in public health.

Anyway, I hope this is amusing. I also hope that I’m correct about you being the author of that fic, and also about its name because that would be quite embarrassing otherwise. Unfortunately tumblr mobile won’t let me check without eating my ask.

ok first of all: you found me yes that's me i wrote the bnha fanfic "go, tell it on the mountain" the name of which you also got right

second of all: THIS IS THE SINGLE HIGHEST COMPLIMENT I THINK IVE EVER BEEN PAID??????? IM LOSING MY FUYCKING MIND IM JUST SCREAMING

third: i hope you know that fic and almost all the sources for it were compiled from my research from my master's thesis, which was actually about media representations of the 1996 everest disaster, so like, it's topical!!!

i hope you got your doctorate and also thank you i'm so fucking HONORED AND GODDAM DELIGHTED BY THIS. this fic has had such a wild and unexpected half-life i was never prepared for. happy cat making biscuits.

my friends are FINALLY free for the summer (after ive spent 2 months wasting away waiting for them) and of course my work decides its the perfect time for me to go from 2 days of work every week to FOUR............ sick of this.

#im so???#i was so worried they were gonna get me to work on friday and they were like. bet. youre working 4 days in a row instead #8hrs then 6 hrs then 9 and 9.#32 hours over 4 days ....................................................................#btw all my work experience comes from working one day a week for 6 - 7 hours. and ive barely gotten used to 7/8 + 9 that has become my norm #here at my new workplace #THIRTY TWO OVER 4 DAYS.................................... dangerously close to being full time . sick of this #i know im lucky to have a job but like please. this is supposed to be a part time job for the summer and hopefully for when i go back to #school (assuming i dont drop out). like this isnt a summer job its a part time student job i dont want 32 hrs over 4 days.#sorry for whining
