wishing that you get a submas-related dream soon!! I had one once where I found myself in hisui and had a conversation with ingo, I don’t remember what we talked about but I remember him being very polite :’)
ahhhh thank you!! here's to hoping ;w; that sounds so cool, even if you can't remember the conversation it was still ingo 😭🙏

I know you probably won't continue this since it's been almost two years but recently I saw your Submas comic again with Emmet somehow ending up in Hisui with the help of Celebi and reuniting with his brother but also getting the consequences of his actions/neglect in taking care of himself (also probably Hisui being harsh to his already weakened state)
I imagined how it could continue (not written down anywhere just living rent free in the brain of yours truly) and I feel like sharing it with you since you inspired me:
We left off as Ingo weeps in front of Emmet sleeping... After he wakes up from his weeping Ingo and Sneasler reluctantly leave as Emmet has no signs of regaining consciousness or improving. Something tells Ingo that what his brother needs might be back in their original time with much better health care.
Similar to him Ingo seeks out Dialga and Palkia begging them to help him save his brother. They have just reunited and he doesn't dare to think what happens if Emmet doesn't get the treatment he needs.
Celebi is also still around and Ingo makes the decision to return to the future to help save Emmet. Sacrificing everything just like he did.
[off screen he makes his good byes get's one of Sneaslers Eggs as a parting gift and they return back to the future]
Next time we cut to the twins it's in the hospital when Emmet regains consciousness. Half awake he is distraught first because being in hospital means it was all a dream and he is all alone again. Waterworks start until he notices a presence by his bedside. Ingo. Totally exhausted and seemingly recently fallen asleep. Waterworks start even harder because Ingo is right there. It was real after all. Ingo awakes and wakes up and they hug and weep.
the end
----
I know you're not fond of fanworks of your fanworks so I don't know if you even like this stupid little idea (also if you even remember the fanart and all that from way back when) I don't plan on sharing this anywhere outside to you. Take it if you want or leave and delete it. I just felt like sharing it with you since you inspired me.
I just want to say thank you because even after all this time your few works of art for submas fill me with joy and I smile each time I scroll past them on my dashboard. All your artworks are simply amazing and I know that you definitely make so many people happy with your content. Keep doing what you love because you do awesome! Take care and thank you for reading this far into this long message.
Awwee!! This is so sad yet adorable at the same time!! 😭😭😭 What a sweet way to wrap up Ingo and Emmets journey! :}}
And thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that you liked my submas stuff and that it's inspired you! Even though I didn't draw much for it.. 😅 Perhaps someday when I'm feeling better I'll get back around to submas again.. 👀👀

Instead of Lady Sneasler and Gliscour reincarnating into Elesa and Emmet, Emmet and Elsea die in modern times and reincarnate in the past as Pokémon. They both remember, it's why they take to Ingo so quickly. Elsea seeing Ingo and in shock just shoves him in her basket and runs away. The clan thinks this means she's chosen him as her warden and she doesn't correct them, if he's her warden she can keep him close. Emmet meets Ingo shortly after he falls, clings to him and refuses to let go.
I'm going to assume that they lived out full lives in the future!! Which is a bit somber if you think about it, because they would have lived out their full lives without Ingo around for a large portion of it... but that's okay because Arceus grants them the weirdest possible reunion ever. They both remember their human lives and are unsure how or why they seemingly got reincarnated as Pokemon in the past- not even in ancient Unova! Ancient Sinnoh! This does not sound like how things should work!
And then one day, they run into Ingo, and suddenly they have the answer to that question. It hurts so much to see him again after what has been a lifetime to them, but it is nonetheless a wonderful reunion... for them, at least. What a tragedy it is that Ingo does not remember his life in Unova, and therefore, either of them as humans- but perhaps in a way, this is for the best since they already know that Ingo will never return home.
At least they get to be with him again.
(And yes, Emmet is verrry jealous that Elesa gets to be a Noble Pokemon. Being an Alpha Pokemon is verrry fun, but being a Noble is arguably better and cooler.)

Just being chatty !!! First off, luv luv LUV this acc sm :3
secondly..just for sillies since I wanna know ur thoughts, do you think Emmet is gonna be in Legends Z-A, since Ingo was in Arceus?
> Thank you so much! I'm having fun running this blog and I'm glad you all like it! :)
> As for the question, I haven't thought about that option too much other than finding it very funny lmao. On one hand something tells me Emmet won't be in LZ-A (using an acronym already woo), I don't know why. It would be fun to focus on someone else, though I think it would be cool if they were another Battle Facility member, maybe from Sinnoh? On the other hand it's plausible we'll find Emmet in LZ-A not only because of PLA, but because the Subway Bosses are really popular. If he does end up in Kalos, and if we do jump between past and future like some suggest, it would be interesting to see Emmet searching for his brother, gathering information on what happened to him etc. Just a neat idea

Here are some ideas I really liked that I want to share with you because I'm really proud of them. even though I already shared with that one tumblr account that got deleted for whatever reason.
An au i came up with, so you know how Ingo got sent into the past right? I don't know if you know but the germs that we live with today could kill someone in the middle ages. Basically what I'm getting at here is that the second Ingo gets in touch with civilization they slowly grow sick and develop something akin to the black plague. So he isolates himself for years from both pokemon and humans until the player appears and something similar happens to them with their pokemon. The wails of their sorrow reach Ingos ears, it's heartbreaking so he investigates and finds them clutching their beloved companion. The sight before him brings uncomfortable memories and decides to take the player under his wing. After a while of getting to know each other they develop a friendship, you've both got each other back if things get tough whether the problem is physical or emotional. Ingo is just happy to not be alone anymore and cherishes the player, oh and when Emmet sees the cards you've both been dealt with he will flip, he won't hesitate to kill god for doing this, TWICE.
Ok so hear me out, what if Ingo and Emmet are yanderes for the reader, but here's the catch, they both have the Hanahaki disease. Or another dilemma where you, Ingo and Emmet are siblings (adopted or not it's up to you) and they are very protective of you. But you gained the Hanahaki disease and now they have to play wingman to get you and your love interest together because they don't want you to die and or lose all your love for them through a surgery. It would also be sweet if in the end you lose the disease because you fell out of love for the other person when you recognised the lenghets your brothers put into making you happy, something the aforementioned love interest didn't even bother with.
That is interesting! I did read about that somewhere, that the bacteria with our bodies and this day and age now could easily make people in the past sick (Or even vise versa. Who knows how the flu several hundred years in the past could effect a person today) It would be horrifying though, to think about. You are sent back by pokegod to do a task, and you unintentionally just,, cause a new plague. Even possibly rewriting history by doing so. Talk about the horror and the guilt. I love the idea of Yandere Ingo and Emmet with Hanahaki disease. They love you so so so much. So much it’s literally killing them. If anything, it makes them even more desperate. They don’t wait as long to make a move, either. If you don’t accept them, they make a move to kidnap you immediately. Though the idea that realizing the guy you are pining after is awful when he won’t even put in effort to give a shit about you like your brothers do, and no longer having the disease is pretty good. They both certainly raise your standards for partners you look into in the future.

World Wanderer Ingo: I was a teenage Drayden (Aka Ingo breaks a timeline by being there!)
Heheheehehehehehehehehehehehehe
I got an Ask like,, 20 minutes ago about Ingo being sent to a past Unova where Drayden is a teenager. I think this is amazing and must be done. I will 100% be using it.
While it is possible for Ingo to be sent to his own timeline, just not in his or Emmet's lifetimes to that point (so he could be sent to after he would already be dead or before he's born), I'm unsure if I want this particular event to also take place in it.
So obviously Drayden had to have gone on his own journey at some point- and that he did!
It was while he was on his way to Driftveil city that he met and befriended an odd man, who seemed mostly lost. He was super nice, and gave Drayden some actually helpful tips on raising his Axew.
Little did he know he'd be sharing the information, among other things, with his nephews in the future- which this man happened to be one of. Wow.
Ingo proceeds to be incredibly helpful and nice the rest of the time here, which is incredibly strange to Drayden, because for the most part adults hadn't been very helpful this whole time unless he needed to buy something or heal his Pokemon. It was a nice change of pace.
And also completely broke the timeline. But thats OK! Drayden has no idea, and even when he meets his nephews he has no idea. It isn't till long down the road when he's reminiscing about his journey that he realizes what had happened.
He's never telling the twins.
They don't get to know about this.

i love rei. my shady lil blorbo!! and i love thinking about them in different situations lmao. every time i see/think of one of those aus where volo in present day offers to guide emmet + elesa to ingo while being Clearly up to no good, i just subconsciously replace him w rei, who is NOT as sinister and smug but would prolly come off as off in a different way. (picturing them having learned by the end of pla to read after the professor realizes they can't and teaches them, only to get back to present day, go to unova, and realize, hey... the written language in this region is different from hisui...!!) plus suffering from culture shock from being in a different, more urban region than sinnoh/hisui.
plus if they still have hunt, yomogi, and whoever's on their future team (hehe future when they are stuck in the past...), and then they get famous for being the hero of hisui + their pokemon teammates (tho the fame MIGHT be lessened in unova?), ppl might almost definitely side-eye rei in whatever new guise they've taken up (bc come on they ARE gonna learn at some point that they're in the form of lucas, sinnoh champ, or otherwise make the connection like 'i turned into this dude and then got roped into rescuing this whole other region - bc hisui is sinnoh but VERY DIFFERENT bc PAST - so i should prolly NOT be the dude when i get back to the future' right?) for having such a famous lineup w some hisuian variants. (maybe u will have hunt and everyone else stay in hisui while rei alone - plus prolly floatzel, until he is confirmed to not go to hisui and bother rei THEN I WILL KEEP THE HC OF HIM ALSO BEING TRANSPORTED TO THE PAST IN MY HEART - goes back to sinnoh... but i just want the friend group to stay together forever!! like those fics where lady sneasler goes back to unova w ingo lmao.)
anyway i'm having fun specifically thinking about how rei, wild pokemon who lives in sinnoh, a region NOT KNOWN FOR ITS TRAINS, is gonna react to the concept of the battle subway and unovan trains in general.
HIIII it's very late at night when I'm answering this but I just want to say. I had to work a 12 hour double shift today but I read this ask right at the beginning of my shift and it REALLY made my day. I only just got off of work but I've been thinking about this ask ALL day so thank you anon for making my day significantly better!!
and just aaaahhh I'm so happy that you're liking rei!! sorry if I don't have too much to add since I'm very tired right now but I just love hearing about ur thoughts and speculations and such c:
I def have SOME plans for how certain things work out (like rei's reading/writing skills, for one) but i love the idea of rei being like. ok yeah ive figure this reading thing out no problem. and then they get sent back and it turns out that they learned how to read the Pokemon equivalent of Latin or something. VERY good very funny love it
I'm also still toying around with some of the derails on rei being sent back to modern sinnoh, but I DO have a decent chuck of it already figured out. for now I'll refrain from going too much into my ideas in the chance that they change since. man. as of right now I'm almost at 100 pages in the document I'm writing history offers on and it's over 50k words and rei hasn't even done the kleavor fight yet. I've given up on believing that this is gonna end up almost absurdly long lol. but ANYWAYS once I get a LITTLE further in I might be persuaded to discuss late game stuff a bit more but I still LOVE hearing about other ppl's thoughts about what might happen!! like I am rotating everything u wrote in my mind like a microwave oven
and yeah. does rei even KNOW what a train is. now I have to think about whether rei would've ever been in a situation where a train would be relevant. and man it WOULD be really funny if rei had no clue what they were

Okay but Clay being sent to Hisui is hilarious. Yeah Lian’s his great grandpa, but’s he’s also like 10. And oh shit is that Ingo! Wow it’s real nice having a familiar face around :) Oh does this mean Emmet’s around too? What? He doesn’t know who Emmet is?? That ain’t right, not at all.
Dont worry, it doesnt get to Clay that ingo has no idea who emmet is because a good ol' Southern Cowboy BACK SLAP will knock the memories right back into Ingo
Now they just gotta bully Palkia and Dialga into bringing them home (and maybe Clay'll steal some Black Augurite to bring back too)
In seriousness, I do think even if Ingo didn't remember, it would help to have a familiar face and familiar mannerisms (and a Familiar pokemon, because I'm not leaving poor Excadrill in the mines) for the both of them. I think Ingo would slowly get more memories back, or at least get some familiarity with Clay bringing up old stories, helping through some things, and just generally being nearby. I sorta picture Clay as a decent friend of the Twins and Elesa (if not seeing the two as Nephews he never had), just because their cities are close and the twins and Clay both have a love and care for the tunnels (Iirc, in PokeMas, they recruited Clay to help build a subway anyways, so theres that too).
Clay and Lian might be wary of one another for a while (dont want to cause any breaks in the timeline) but then start to slowly interact. It definitely helps if they don't think about each other as future/past relatives and more of current relatives. Lian can pretend that Clay is some uncle from far away and Clay can act like Lian is another nephew he never had.
Clay is very careful and attentive to Ingo during this time, I would think, watching out for him and making sure he's all good in the meanwhile. Lord knows that the man's already probably jacked from working in the mines (pickaxes are HEAVY as hell imo but im also like. noodlely.) as hell, so he just gets stronger. Strong enough to punch Volo out for good.

poor kid ingos likely going to find an out of the way place to hunch down and hide as he tries to sort out everything he just learned. He's still angry for quite awhile, talking to himself about how Emmet doesnt really care about him and never did while, i dunno, just throwing rocks or trash or whatever is around where hes hiding in that way frustrated kids do.
He starts angrily going through the worst ideas he can come up with for why Emmet would do all this. Thinking that Emmet never wants his adult self to be found and concluding that, in that case, he must also not want him to return to the past so that he was never around to begin with as a reason for why he took care of him. Little Ingo starts to think everything Emmet ever told him was a lie.
After a while of all this throwing rocks and shouting, Ingo tires himself out and just huddles in on himself and starts crying believing that this is just proof that Emmet will never love him again and he’s lost him permanently. This is the future after all, its all already happened. Obviously he sunk the boat on his and Emmets relationship all those years ago and he’s never going to be able to fix it. Ever.
Of course after awhile of this, he considers going back to Emmets apartment and asking for forgiveness. If only because hes getting cold and hungry and he doesnt know where else to go. Only…
He can’t find his way back. Ingo ran off blinded by anger and heartbreak and his eyes blurry with tears. He’s unfamiliar with Nimbasa, and has no idea where he ran off too. So he ends up just wandering around desperately looking for anything that looks even remotely familiar.
Poor baby Ingo is as lost as an easter egg in the middle of the night in the middle of Pokemon New York. He's so lost, in fact, that he thinks he might just be better off attempting to time-travel back home with his Celebi... except he still has no idea how to do so without getting himself hopelessly lost... again.
Ingo is a smart kid though. So he decides to look for a pokemon center. Everywhere he has ever been has one, and they are safe places. In a city this big, there has to be one close by. Once he's there, he should be able to reference the map on the wall to get his bearings again. Most pokemon centers are open 24/7 and provide rooms for travelling trainers to sleep in. He'll stay the night and figure out what he's going to do in the morning. He'll also probably be able to get something to eat there, too.
At this point he doesn't know what he wants to do. He doesn't know if he wants to go back to Emmet's apartment again. He is still so, so mad, but he's also exhausted, and he's sick of feeling sorry. He just wants to go to bed and wake up back home--his real home, in Anville Town--and pretend none of this ever happened.
He starts walking, trying to steer clear from the poorly-lit areas and not to bring too much attention to himself. He has pokemon and he knows how to battle, but he doesn't particularly want to test his luck against a thug on the street.
It takes him a half hour of wandering streets lit by flashing neon signs to find what he's looking for. He sees the glowing red roof of the pokemon center in the distance and sets a course straight for it, but just as he takes his first step, a figure leaps from the shadows and into his path, stopping him in his tracks. It's a man in a weird, hooded uniform that Ingo has never seen before. Ingo lets out a yelp of fear and his hand flies to Litwick's pokeball.
"I'm going to liberate your pokemon!" the man shouts, and, before Ingo can react, hurls out a pokeball. It explodes open to reveal a Purrloin, already hissing.
"Oh, no you're not!"
Ingo whips around at the sound of the familiar voice, just in time to see Emmet approaching alongside a tall, strikingly beautiful woman who Ingo seems to recognize from somewhere. For once, he isn’t smiling. He looks absolutely pissed and murder is written all over his face.
Two pokeballs split open in simultaneous flashes of brilliant white light to reveal Eelektross and Zebstrika side-by-side. The weirdly-dressed man jumps in surprise and starts to say something, but Emmet viciously cuts him off with, “Eelektross, thunderbolt!”
A trident of yellow lightning strikes into the ground and sends shock waves through the concrete. Purrloin is down in one shot. The woman beside Emmet giggles at the sight of its utter destruction. “Honey, you messed with the wrong kid,” she says.
Ingo can see that the man has more pokemon at his disposal, and his hand starts to creep to the next pokeball on his belt, but in the next second he thinks better of trying to fight the two adults. Without another word, he turns 180 degrees and sprints away.
Ingo is still trying to process what the hell just happened when Emmet crashes into him with a hug, nearly knocking him over. He starts speaking, but the words are coming out so quickly and frantically that they don’t make a whole lot of sense. “Thank god we found you--I was so worried--I’m so sorry--I’ll explain everything, I promise--”
As he’s blubbering into his shoulder, Ingo feels an emotion rise in his stomach that he can’t quite place. He’s still conflicted about everything but… Emmet wouldn’t come looking for him if he didn’t care, right?
His throat aches and he feels like he should say something, but he can’t. He doesn’t know what to think. He doesn’t know what to feel. He is so, so confused.
Emmet eventually releases him and Ingo turns towards the woman, studying her. It’s her vibrant blue eyes that he finally places. They belong to the most popular girl in school and of Emmet’s closest friends.
“Wait--Elesa?” he asks, shocked.
“That’s me,” she says with a smile.
“What are you doing here?”
“Oh, sweetie, I live here,” she replies. “I’m this city’s gym leader now.”
“O-oh, wow,” Ingo stammers, not sure what to do with this information.
“Now,” she says, looking back and forth between the two brothers, “why don’t we go find a place where we can all chat?”

Hi, how are you doing? Hope you’re having a good day/night wherever you are.
I have an idea of sorts inspired by the time paradox au an Anon did so all credit for this idea goes to them. I’m thinking of calling this Sinnoh and Unova’s wrath Au (SUW for short). It’s still sort of a work in progress and I hope that it’s okay to share here. Feel free to give suggestions and thoughts/criticisms about the Au.
Basically, it first focuses on the future where the world is experiencing strange space-time abnormalities thanks to Volo’s meddling and Giratina not fixing everything. While some are minor, others like Sinnoh and Unova are more constant and severe. The Pokémon league of both of those regions are doing their best to help as many as they could but some of them like Drayden got injured in the process. Arceus is trying to keep the whole universe from falling apart but eventually they say screw it and decides that they need to deal with Volo once and for all. But they’re not going to go down and punish him, oho no, that would be too easy and it would just be giving Volo what he wants. No, Arceus wants Volo to see the consequences of his actions and how he should have thought things through.
So Arceus contacts trainers from both Unova and Sinnoh and explained everything to them before sending them to Hisui (I imagine that the Celebis are busy saving as many people and Pokémon as they can from being lost in time). I’m still not sure if Arceus would send in Reshiram and Zekrom though, I guess it depends on them and if they want to follow. (I also considered sending in Barry and Dawn cuz they deserve to get angry at Volo but I’m not sure, feel free to add what you think)
Back in the past, Rei/Lucas (I wanted to spice things up a bit) was close to losing, Giratina had already transformed and is really powerful. Ingo, Irida, Adaman and Kamado are there because Ingo noticed to commotion and came up while sending messages to the rest to inform them of what’s going on and it didn’t take long for them to come over thanks to Braviery. They were about to step in and fight when Rei/Lucas’s last Pokémon fainted when all of a sudden, the sky above the Spear Pillar cracked open. Volo was ecstatic, thinking that it was Arceus and that finally, he has achieved his goals but it was not to be. The crack this time seemed different, like it was less of a wound to space and time and more of a deliberate passage. And four figures dropped down from it.
Descending from the heavens were Cynthia, Elesa, Iris and Emmet, and they all have come to give Volo hell.
Oh, nice! And take off with it my dude, I don't think they'll mind.
And I'm sure they'll say something if they do.
Also, Paradox Anon, please at least tell me who you are so I can credit you properly! I'm starting to feel bad that I can't tell people who made this. It feels like I'm taking credit for something that isn't mine over here. (I'm trying not too, but it's hard when I don't have someone else to point to.)
Like, it does have to be your actual username, just something I can give you credit with!

One more post about the Hisuian Ingo and Emmet AU for today (since I'd like to free-write but really need to get on these prompts) But isn't it funny how Emmet is in the Diamond Clan Ingo is in the Pearl Clan, when their uniforms' color schemes would better suit the the other twin? I've been thinking of all the juxtaposing themes I could come up with for this AU but I keep forgetting to bring up that one. I already mentioned the dark and light sneasels and how they sort of represent one another reversely just like the uniforms. The same thing with the Zorua line as well actually.
(Ah tumblr just glitched and deleted half the post. eck.)
Well then, I was saying how Past and Future were integral story elements in the Unovan games where the twins originate from in the first place, and that's likely part of the reason why there are so many Gen 5 references in Legends Arceus, a game about time and space travel.
Gens 4 and 5 are like thematic twins in that respect and I'm looking forward to continuing that line of reasoning with this AU. I wrote that all out much more eloquently in the first version of the post, but you know, Tumblr. I also had more to say but I'm not happy with the post editor right now >:( Though I have been leaving the Wattpad community a little high and dry when this blog was created for them. Hmm hmm...

Irida would never make Ingo settle down and get married, the clan is full of people who don’t want to do that or do fit with that. I imagine Irida already knew about Paulina and Iscan but knowing what she went through and that she had someone, even if he were from the Diamond Clan, to support her, made her pretend she didn’t know as that’s how they wanted it to be.
Ingo hasn’t been around too long so might not have noticed, focusing one the job they gave him. But he fears marriage. He doesn’t want that. And there certainly are some older folk who have tried to have that discussion, from which he quickly excused himself from. On the whole though no one really cares, but it still keeps him up at night worrying.
The only person who really judges him is Kamado, although we’re he to ever voice his opinions on it, there would be a long line of people ready to fight.
In the past/future Ingo was able to be unburdened from that fear, so long as Emmet allowed him to keep living with him and his partner if he ever settled down.
Hm, we might have to just agree to having slighly different characterizations of Ingo, which i think it a totally fine thing.
Mosty, I don't think ingo worried/worries much about marriage at all. He's perfectly content and busy with his Warden duties, and maybe sometimes when he's in Jubilife someone will mention like 'wow you're getting old. Don't you have a woman in your life?' and he either obliviously answers with every female character he has a good relationship with (including Lady Sneasler) or is just like 'I'm busy? All the time? When Would I have time for a family?'
But also like, he does want a family, if that makes sense. That's why spending so much time with Lady Sneasler and his offspring is perfect for him, because he's used to living with out people, just not in a romantic sense.

The thing you mentioned before about your villain in the AU, regarding how feelings "ruined" people's relationship with pokemon, was how easily he used Emmet and Elesa's emotions to get the Noble pokemon. Except, you mentioned how it was Elesa's "friendship for Ingo and love for Emmet". At the time, my immediate thought that made me snicker was, "It would be funny if Elesa wasn't even aware of those romantic feelings yet and immediately springs to denial because the villain is crazy, but THAT crazy to think she, Elesa, in love with one of the twins?! No, this was her helping a friend! Only to keep thinking on it later and realizing 'Acerus dammit he's right.'"
(Also "Emmet, this almost sounds like a Team Plasma knock off."
"We're not hunting Legendaries tho!")
LOl that would be halarious. Altho my idea was that Elesa was already aware of her feelings for Emmet but more or less keeps herself from acting on them. Both because she isn't sure if Emmet feels the same and because she can't help but feel that her and Emmet developing a relationship in part as a result of Ingo disappearing feels morbid.
Although her shoving it all into the backburner of her subconcious and lying to herself for the longest time only to acknowledge the truth afterwards would also be hella-fun.
And, yeah, I guess it does sorta sound like a team plasma knockoff. Then again the whole "capturing powerful pokemon to then try to remake the world in your own twisted image" is practically a staple for the series.
As I think I've said previously, it almost seems like a deliberate theme with villains in pokemon to be people who have these grandiose concepts and ideas either about themselves or the world as a whole. Only to have their ideas easily crushed due to their plans being so flimsy or poorly thought through you could drive a truck through the loopholes. But I'm on the fence if thats because its just the minimalist writing for a video game/kids media, or if its a deliberate commentary on how, for all their big talk, the villains of pokemon's ultimate downfall was how they removed themselves from the everyday world and held themselves above it to the point of being incapable of seeing what was right in front of their faces.
I mean, old school pokemon fans love to say how Team Rocket were super cool but, like, Giovanni's plans got sunk by a ten year old because he got too big for his britches and forgot "theres always a bigger fish"
Archie and Maxie, for all their hooing and hawing about their big visions of the future by expanding the ocean/land evidently failed to take even a basic meteorology class to find out why reckless ecological manipulation is a bad idea.
Don't even get me started on Cyrus and his whole 'create a new universe' thing. You know what Team Galactic is? A death cult.
And it just goes on like that.
I like to think this OC villain guy continues that tradition by exemplifying people who are obsessed with an idealized version of the past/history. Like, treating ancient Hisui and their nobles like this great ideal thing where everyone was more noble and better for having to struggle to survive kinda ignores the reality of the setting or how the people who actually live there truly feel about the whole thing.
I dunno I just thought, since the villains motivations are, at this point, honestly pretty flexible, it'd be a cool concept to explore.
