To the anon who mentioned a clock design for Sun's face, here ya go~
(his arm on the right was supposed to be resting on his knee but through whatever witchcraft it didn't turn out that way so let's just ignore that shall we)
Taking a majority of my art off tumblr for now. Fuck AI
(he's currently worrying about taxes)
I really wanna do Moon too but I haven't been able to think of a design yet. Could use suggestions!

Moderns who wanna be trad, really shouldn't pick the 50s to do it about if they wanna call themselves trad.
There was nothing "trad" about the 50s. First of all, the idea that women don't work and aren't involved in actual *production* let alone household production, was relatively new and... to a large degree, downstream of much of pre-war household production being augmented by technology and mass production.
the idea that a household of five people could be supported on 40 hours a week, without the wife and children also being involved in production, was absolutely downstream of technology. So was a woman running a house without having to have a team of servants.
The "nuclear family" was a stepping stone toward atomization, in an economy that lasted for about... five minutes. It literally was a cultural artifact lasting twenty years only.
And it was futuristic as fuck, and downstream of technological innovation, not a return to the golden days, which most people actually remembered as quite horrible.
If you really wanna live in the spirit of the 50s for any reason but the shittiest and most sexist/racist parts of it, you'd want several Roomba's and a self driving car and would be the world's most annoying space nerd.
And you'd be great with stronger unions and you'd probably be okay with vaccines

Hello! I was just wondering what you guys use to populate the spreadsheet with data from submissions. It can’t be manually done, right? I feel like something else is used?? Either way, this is my favorite poll blog and I love how well put together it is!! Have a good day :D
I do it manually and it sucks --r

just got through the gates of sapodilla no problem. they thought I was so cool and only asked me what my favorite food was and recommended me a restaurant in the city. they gave me full access after only a minute bc I’m so awesome and the interviewer is extremely alive and not dead also, skill issue if you had problems I guess :/

disturbing
I was writing a post and at the end I was adding tags, as I do, and I typed the singular first person pronoun, I, and a list of tags popped up as suggestions that took me the fuck out. It was so disturbing I took a screenshot.
[image ID: a list of suggested tags, screenshotted. It's titled "popular" and the list is "I want to [star emoji]ve" "i wanna lose weight" "i sell content" "i love him"]
I wanna star-emoji-ve???? Well there's some pro-ana shit for you.
I don't know if the kids these days remember this but back in Livejournal around the era of strikethrough (the '07-'09 time period is where I remember noticing it) there was a movement to censor pro-self-harm blogs, that were support groups mostly supporting one another in more and more extreme anorexic/self-destructive/eating-disordered behaviors.
This is absolutely that. And they were like "it's self-expression" and everyone else in the world was like "it is actually a toxic encouragement of self-harm" because they were like, concretely instructing one another and recruiting vulnerable people to join them in ways to literally starve to death, they were support groups for killing yourself more or less, and so those tags would occasionally get banned or delisted or removed from search or whatever, but remember this was very early in the history of such things, and there was no algorithm. But people did use the browsing of blogs' "interests" to find one another, it was a feature of how Livejournal worked, and there wasn't a lot of moderation but the deactivation or delisting of those self-harm-encouraging tags were a hotly-contested bit of debate.
And so they got more creative, and found other ways to find one another, and people starved to death or otherwise irreparably damaged their bodies and their mental health and so on. I cannot emphasize enough, this was not fiction. These were not fictional stories depicting fictional scenarios that weren't happening, these were real people posting stories and encouragement and photographs of their real selves, showing off how much damage to themselves they were doing, concretely encouraging one another to do the same. This was not fiction.
But they kept finding new ways to talk about it so it couldn't be censored.
And then LJ deleted blogs for posting about fiction instead, and we all kind of forgot about it and moved on.
Highly displeased to find that it's all alive and well on Tumblr, to the point that it's the number one suggestion when I type the fucking first-person pronoun into the tag field, and I can't opt out of seeing that. COOL.

Also I've made one of my older posts about AI stuff unrebloggable because it was starting to go around and while my final verdict opinion hasn't really changed - I still strongly consider it a really exciting tool that can be used for both good and evil and despise its use as a corporate cost-cutting gimmick or a new way for trolls and grifters to be giant cockholes but love seeing what people do with it for its OWN value as a tool and how making art out of ANYTHING is such a human thing to do-
digging even a few inches deeper has caused my reasons for arriving at that same conclusion to change a lot lmao
It's kind of my current ultimate example of

i haven't played minecraft in years, but with the armadillo winning the vote, i think about how wolves don't really have much going on in terms of their utility. like anytime i tame a wolf, i end up just kinda keeping them sitting at home.
i think if mojang really does feel like wolves are deserving of armour, with the addition of armadillos, they really need to update wolves to be more useful as companion mobs, because personally... i never feel the urge to bring a wolf with me when im going out to do things, especially if it involves combat.
like, what do dogs do best? fetching stuff and digging, right? like i wish that i could just mill about with a wolf and they track a scent or something and start digging into the dirt and then proceed to bring you that item. like it could range from rarely digging up iron nuggets to digging up vegetables or whatever, yknow. combine the fetching stuff with combat and you wouldn't have to manually pick up stray arrows or items from mobs your wolf kills.
the only other thing i wish you could do with wolves is automate their health in some way, like give more utility to the bowl item so you can place it down for them to eat from so you don't have to constantly manage their health by looking at their tail. just minor quality of life stuff i guess.
idk, that's just my thoughts. i do like wolves in minecraft, they just feel rather lacking with the way some new mobs have so much going on, like the sniffer and allay and so on.

I see there's a new post on AO3 on AI and data scraping, the contents of which I would describe as a real mixed bag, and the sheer number of comments on it is activating my self-preservation instincts too much for me to subject myself to reading through them. Instead I'm thinking about how much daylight there is between does or doesn't constitute a TOS violation and what does or doesn't violate community norms, and how AO3 finally rolled out that blocking and muting feature recently, and how I think it would be good, actually, if most people's immediate reaction to seeing a work that announces itself as being the product of generative AI was to mute the user who posted it.
That's my reaction, anyway!

What if instead of king squishing only one of them we just. Kill all of them. One. By. One
The king knows about Rui and the loops fairly well, who's to say he would just kill one of them when ALL his troupe mates matter so much to him.
We can kill all of them Marlo. We can maximize pain. We can destroy him whole.
hoc this is so fucking evil i am eating this up. smth smth. rui desperately trying to loop as it happens. this is awful /pos
