let's roll the dice and we'll both make our moves...

He hadn't intended to be fully bewitched by her the first time he ever laid eyes on her. That golden realm of a bar, beautiful though seedy for all of those goons crowding the place, J barking orders behind the bar...she was spinning around that pole, entrancing Logan in her elegance in that silver dress. He'd wanted so badly to run his fingers through those curls, blue and pink tresses alike mixed with that platinum blonde.

What he did manage, a hand to help her down off the raised platform, she'd smiled and...his soul left his body.

Little did he know he'd end up hopelessly playing with what wasn't his. Between the bank robberies and drug heists, gunpowder lingering on his fingers while she used knives and means much more personal, it didn't take long to wonder. Want didn't dim, curiosity didn't vanish overnight but festered in the dark. Soon enough, the dynamic shifted, and sighs from his own lips in the dark became hers too, wrapped up in the sheets to explore.

Logan was never one to play with fire, never one to bite the hand which feeds him. But with Harley...he'd said goodbye to that early.

Sometimes they just languished in one another's arms. Logan showed her body the worship and adoration she deserved, losing himself when her fingers ran through golden strands in that way. Those legs wrap around his waist as she perches on his lap, where he can drag his lips over her collarbones, teeth gently bite here and there, just a ghost of a thing. Their precious secret.

In the flash of moonlight, maybe a candle or two flickering around them, there is no space between them: he can feel each intake of breath by her ribs expanding, each soft roll of those hips when she wants to tease. The tickle of her hair on his cheekbones. A soft flick of his tongue, trailing it up and up her neck to hear that sigh escape her as his arms tighten their hold, feeling her move with him. They gaze into one another's eyes and there's a gleam there, deep within. There she is...Harleen...in all her splendor, even quietly, she effects him so totally, he's lost for words.

Logan takes her then, those lips in his for a few tender kisses just for her. She'll become all of herself then, a quiet moan of his swallowed by those lips which know just how to hypnotize him. He knows now...he won't let her go.

Why did people like to hide in these kinds of areas? There were plenty of other places they could go. But no, swampy areas full of who knows what. Probably snakes and gators, if he was being honest. Holden frowned deeply. This was disgusting. But when you were on contract to serve people papers, you did what you had to. Guiding the small boat through the swamp, he was hoping he’d find the dock soon. He wanted to get in and out of there as soon as possible. What was worse, were the warning signs, haphazardly nailed to a tree, as you traveled down the river. Who the hell thought this place was hospitable? Cities were much better than this, at least in his opinion.

Finally, a damn dock. He hoped it was the right one, when he pulled the boat alongside the wood, and looping the boat off, he carefully stepped off the boat and headed up to the house. Knocking on the door, he was greeted by an older gentleman. “Matthias Allenson? You’ve been served, sir.” He offered the envelope out, which he took.

Boom. Job done. Now he could get the hell out of here.

hello! it’s that time again i try to sell myself as a potential writing partner. i have written these in the past and been successful in occasionally finding roleplay partners who are interested in the same sorts of things as me. so i am looking for people who want to world build with me. i really like discussing plots, headcanons, and anything that can make me understand your muse better! i love sharing memes, drabbles, not roleplaying linearly and tossing around multiple threads! i don't need many people to write with but i really prefer to have a handful of people who i know well, am invested in their muses/feel super comfortable with my knowledge of their muses & pingpong my annoying ideas at them easily.

i tend to write lengthier things but i am okay with any length as long as it’s not one-liners! i also have zero interest in writing with someone who i will only have one thread with and never speak to again. 💀 i just rather focus on threads that will grow outside of just one single reaction! i like to think i am pretty easy to toss shit around with but i am a little shy so sometimes it takes a while for the ball to start rolling but once it is i am full-sending that shit.

I transitioned from group rp to indie a few years ago and--at the time--I was all alone. I had no connections, just a lonely barry blog to my name. I wrote drabbles by myself in the dark for two weeks until aya came across my blog with her hikari, and everything just clicked. aya made me feel included, reached out with ideas, plots and feedback, and showed love to barry and all of my muse(s)--and to this day, I still feel TREMENDOUSLY grateful for the helping hand when I felt so isolated. I definitely would not still be writing here without her.

since then, I've had an amazing time here. writing with so many different people, muses, and groups--it's all so good. my best experiences happen when I'm writing (or even plotting) with someone, and everything just works, flows, and fits together and I can just feel that shared excitement. that feeling that we're building a great story together. that's magical. that's why I'm still around, trying new muses, diving headlong into amazing plots/dynamics, letting my imagination run wild, and--as always--writing a lot. much love to EVERYONE who has helped keep that fire burning over the years, but especially ash and aya for giving that flame a chance in the first place. tysm. ❤️

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : it's been said, but--on a personal level--I wish private communication would happen more, specifically when it comes to interest levels. my time is becoming more and more limited here (sad as that is) and I have always written at a slower, longer pace. so, given how fast this place moves, I would appreciate knowing if a thread has grown stale, or if something's off.

I'm flexible. I'd like to think that I'm pretty laid-back. I want you to have fun, and you need to drop or backburner our thread because life, interest, etc. that's okay. I promise. I also don't mind reminders about cold threads or overdue replies on my end. if that's the case, please let me know right away, and I'll pick it back up or let you know my thoughts. we can try new things, or not. just let me know what you'd like to do, and we can adjust from there. that being said, lack of time or muse =/= lack of interest. I get that. you never need to rush a reply with me, and I will always (for better or worse) assume interest is still there unless told otherwise by you. I'm no herlock sholmes. (I wish I was...)

i‘d love to try out some of the infinite starter/rp memes ive seen everywhere on tumblr but i have no idea how i would even use them & how to get people to send/reply/etc. to me

i sent submissions on some of those rp-partner-search blogs on here as well because i had no idea where to start, but i don‘t seem to be lucky with that :[

i just wanna rp & maybe get to know some nice people in the rp community but i have no idea how, i know a lot of the etiquette stuff now but all that doesn‘t really matter if i‘m not actually interacting with anyone 😭

Hey there! I'm glad my blog has been a valuable resource to you.

It's definitely difficult starting out in the community, as there are many different structures and moving parts to learn. Hopefully, my advice here will be of some use too!

Looking at your blog, you have a really nice theme! It's very clear to read and quite beautiful. However, you may be having some trouble finding people to interact with because they may still be viewing you as a personal blog.

RP blogs differ from personals in a couple of different ways that I'll outline here.

(A.) Content and reblogs.

RP blogs are made up of largely tagged posts that fall into a few different categories. OOC posts, headcanons, threads, aesthetics, dash games, and more. These are almost always tagged accordingly and don't usually fall outside the main purpose of the blog. I see that your blog is for the most part empty and already following this standard, though you may want to integrate the tag system for easier navigation! I'd try to add a little bit more flavor to your blog by adding drabbles here and there as writing samples, or reblogging aesthetic/visage posts!

(B.) Rules and muse page.

One of the largest things that sets a personal apart from an rp blog is the way in which you set up your rules and muses. There is additional information on this post on how you might go about making a rules and muses page, but another way for beginners is to make a pinned post and put all information under a read more. It looks like you've already got a bio going, so here's how I personally would organize that as an example:

Obviously this is your blog and you have every right to make it how you'd like, but these are just my suggestions!

Other than that, it's a matter of being patient and reaching out to others. Not everyone will be down to rp, and that's okay. It takes time and patience, and largely an understanding of that concept. What you give, you get back. It can be discouraging when you can't find many to rp with, but it's important to remember that negativity truly will breed negativity here. Waiting for others to approach you won't always work, so you may need to ask and try to engage with others! Don't be afraid to say what you want!

Kristy didn’t go out and take a coffee break much, but the office had been too busy for her brain today. She needed the space. The coffee shop down the street had seemed like a good place to go. Once she had her coffee in hand, she settled herself at a table by herself away from the door. She hunkered down with her laptop, and started plucking away at her work. She felt eyes on her, and she glanced up to see a couple of ladies across the cafe staring at her, with a strange look on their faces. She tried her best to shrug it off and go back to work. A few minutes passed, and she glanced up again feeling more eyes on her this time, and Kristy couldn’t hear what was being said, but the whispers made it seem obvious that it was about her.

She glanced at herself for a moment, wondering if it was something she was wearing. Definitely not. She glanced back up and all the eyes were off her, and the whispers ceased again. What the hell was going on?

okay, so i need to focus up & work on my replies. i was busy + too tired to really write last few days so i am a lil behind. i started one of my new jobs and it's just longer shifts so by the end of them, i am dead tired since i haven't been drinking the levels of coffee i usually do lol. that being said my focus tonight will be drafts (particularly ones i got a lot of muse for) and then eventually trying to get the memes done i was sent but i only want to reserve my energy for those that will act as starters since i don't have much interest in writing self-paras or drabbles rn since i don't got much free time. as much as i appreciate people sending me stuff i only have interest in things that will lead to a plot or thread atm (or expand on a plot/dynamic with ideas or such tbh).

i am also trying to update rpthreadtracker but since moving blogs its a little messy rn but i eventually am going to get a grip on that so i can be a bit more organized.

hello! it’s that time again i try to sell myself as a potential writing partner. i have only have two drafts so i can actively go searching with a clean conscious, haha. but i am looking for people who want to world build with me. i really like discussing plots, headcanons, and anything that can make me understand your muse better! i love sharing memes, drabbles, and tossing around multiple threads! 

i tend to write lengthier things but i am okay with any length as long as it’s not one-liners! i have zero interest in writing with someone who i will only have one thread with and never speak to again. 💀 i just rather focus on threads that will grow outside of just one single reaction! i like to think i am pretty easy to toss shit around with but i am a little shy!

Just some quick guidelines and rules to keep in mind when interacting with Wheeljack.

Interaction

» No Godmodding → Please don’t try to control Wheeljack in any way, shape or form.  It is one of the few things that will make me drop a thread immediately.

» Semi-Selective → I generally only do threads with mutuals but I do make exceptions from time to time. Keep an eye open for starter calls open to everyone. My askbox is always open to anyone, however, so feel free to poke Wheeljack that way!

» Location → Please don’t assume your muse is in the same location as Wheeljack unless you ask first. With the multiverse in play, it’s just easier for me not to explain how Wheeljack winds up in every other universe. I love doing those types of threads but not ever other day, lmao!

» Asks → Askbox is always open! Generally, asks will be answered as if it’s an interaction over comms or over a console.

» M!A → I accept Magic!Anons on a case by case basis so feel free to send one in if you’d like. I always appreciate seeing them even if I decide not to do them!

» Shipping → I am open to shipping Wheeljack with other canon characters but please give my muse time to get know your character before you ask about shipping! And please, please don't take it personally if I say no.

» NSFW → No active smut on the blog, though I may link to drabbles that contain it. There may also be gore and varying levels of violence. Everything will be tagged, and if you’d like me to tag something specific, please feel free to tell me! I will happily tag something I’ve missed or forgotten.

Threads

» Starters → I generally do not do greeting starters for new followers and it’s hit or miss if I answer greeting starters from other blogs that I follow. It really depends on my current thread load and my energy. I do occasionally do starter calls, so keep an eye out for those and if you’d ever like a starter and have an idea for one, please feel to send in an ask!

» Replies → I am slow at replies. It can take me anywhere from a day to a week to get to my replies. My job keeps me busy and I’m usually very tired when I get home. If you think I’ve missed your reply, please feel free to poke me! I do miss things from time to time.

» Reply Length → I tend toward multi-paragraph replies, but please never feel like you have to match my length! One liners, short paragraph, dialogue only, monster long replies, it’s all good!

» Conflict → If you would like to RP some sort of conflict with Wheeljack, especially if it’s a physical fight or some sort of on-going conflict, please ask first and please be prepared to plot it out. This is to avoid misunderstandings, and to keep it fair and fun! :3

Some small changes I’ve made to my blog:

- I am discontinuing Reading For Days. It was supposed to be a fun, silly way to engage with my rp partners over media and to share my muses’ reactions to it, but it wasn’t receiving much engagement. I may move my reading stuff onto a separate blog, but I don’t feel up to it at the moment. Maybe another time.

- I will be reblogging aesthetic-type posts and memes less. Everything of that sort will go into my queue, which will output once per day. I wasn’t getting much engagement with the memes I was reblogging anyway, so at least this way I won’t be flooding anybody’s feeds. If you’re looking for memes to send me, I started tagging them as #memes. They can be found in my archives.

- I will still aim to reply to threads at least once every 1-2 days, sometimes more often, sometimes less often depending. I can very easily run through all my replies quickly and I don’t want to run out of things to do and be bored, so I’ll likely be slowing down on those a little to fill the gap.

- Drabbles, open starters, and little interactions between my own muses I’ll probably still do as the ideas come to me. I don’t have any major plot things going on right now, although I do have ideas for upcoming things.

- Dash commentary and little in-character comments from my muses will still be posted.

Hopefully this helps cut back on the amount of posts I’m outputting while still encouraging interactions from others.
