im currently writing a bunch of metas and breakdowns but im leaning towards the reason we don't see inumaki communicate with alternative methods is because he's entered a binding vow. in order to boost his cursed technique he limits his speech. kind of like a vow of silence. this means no texting, no notebooks, no jsl. though i believe he's fluent and used to actually communicate a lot before he was in his teens.

watched a video where the author said (not exactly) "and (x) number of people will die today if I felt as much for them as I did over losing a family member I wouldn't be able to function"

and was briefly and momentarily (thank god) seized with the gut wrenching pain of thinking about everyone around the world who died ever lol.
