XD I felt so bad

Personal goals while i'm here

get back on track for my 12-book reading goal (starting a nonfiction book last month grinded my progress to a halt, gotta catch up) (prob w SJM)

crochet one (1) item of clothing (preferably in a public park, a la "the most interesting girl in the city" ofc)

learn mosaic crochet so I can finally make a Journey scarf (but the cream and gold one bc mosaic can only use two yarn colors at a time)

keep up with coding! probably just working on my game(s) for fun hehe

flirt with ONE man

export all R code from my undergrad dropbox

clean up my undergrad gdrive

read Nightwing Vol 1: Leaping into the Light (2016(?)) (and also the rest of that run bc the pinterest images have me hooked omg (though apparently it hasn't ended yet which,,,, ugh is annoying))

if not Nightwing then the Hawkeye run which my photo-friend believes is what Nightwing was in response to

start learning music theory

learn how to fully use a citation software (should only take a week or so)

Goals for when I visit home

make a pattern binder so i can see every pattern i have up front and stop buying new ones that do the same things as ones I already own

assign many/most of my fabrics to particular projects

finish the black half circle skirt (waistband, bound buttonhole, hem!)

floral sleeveless mock neck top (mock up first?)

finish the trouser mockup

play my uke

play my flute... and earnestly attempt improvisation

The sewing ones are admittedly a little ambitious, as always, but I think the others are very very very doable, if a little crowded. The most challenging will probably be keeping up with python, working out regularly, music theory, and also finding the confidence to flirt (but who knows? maybe I won't have to force it). I don't anticipate being able to hit them all (I never do!), but it's nice to have options.

I think if I want to hit a lot of them though, I'm going to have to be structured with my day/week. Set up various curricula, timelines, (flexible) deadlines. Plus, some of these goals are very short-term, and should only take a day or week at most. I can totally sketch out what gets done when, and should have enough wiggle room in case things need to shift.

tlh is absolutely just three 15 year olds with no idea what the fuck is going on at any moment. they have no direction other than "get hera back or else" and no one is helping them. both leo and piper just got told about gods and the one guy who does know about them has amnesia. they are basically swinging, falling and fumbling their way to fight a giant and save a goddess.

there's something so. organic and wild about tlh. it's new and refreshing and introduces all these ideas about gods and demigods and how the world we were introduced to in pjo isn't what it seems. that there is more and we get to discover that with the lost trio.

because. they really are the lost trio. all lost in one way or another. trying to make sense of some grand destiny that was suddenly shoved on them and their own lives before they all met. they're complex characters and at the same time they're dumb teenagers with no grasp on the mythological world aside from Piper's knowledge of the myths and Jason's random bursts of non-amnesia.

in pjo, we have annabeth and grover and chiron to walk us through the myths and the world, but now no one knows anything and they're just trying their best to save everyone.

and it's so good.

the questions and viewpoints tlh takes up is so fucking cool.

and...omg...leo and jason having a heart to heart every five minutes while piper is like. hello.

There are quite a few, actually. Pretty much all of @fortune-maiden‘s boueibu fics bc they always make me smile, the vld fics Recoil/Release and Keith’s ‘Physical Contact’ Initiation Program, and all the gift fic people have written me and Distractions and Pliant by tastewithouttalent but they’re both enatsu smut and i’m embarrassed. I go back to pretty much all my bookmarks but sometimes I have to be in a certain mood to read them, I guess.

There wasn’t a specific author, but the fic catch a falling star by hoshruba is the fic that inspired me to really get into fic writing. I had written pjo/hoo fic on ffnet before then, but catch a falling star is when I started to get serious (for lack of a better term) about it

20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Like what you write. Which is crappy advice, I know, but if you write what you want to read and are happy with it, then you’ll keep writing, and when you keep writing you’ll inevitably improve, even if it doesn’t feel like it. You’ll improve bc, at least for me, the more fic I published the more I wanted to publish, and the more I had to learn how to do to write things. Ideas burst out of me at the seams. So write those short drabbles and ramble-ly one-shots and just. Enjoy them. Like what you write.

21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I typically plot out longer stories, but my planning stages tend to just be random bursts of ideas and lines in an unorganized list. On the other hand, there are quite a few fics of mine that I started and finished within one sitting - it felt like they wrote themselves.

22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I haven’t gotten a bad comment that I remember (there are probs a few on my old fics but whatever), but I have gotten some weird/funny comments on said old fics on ffnet.

Too many, omg. I still have that last part of crumble; throw, and I also have an iokin fic I want to finish but it’s gotten out of hand... also a long keith (vld) fic but we’ll see how that goes. Plus all my little ideas floating around in various electronic devices.

Um, the stories ideas kinda just... happen... and whichever I finish/start first are the ones I finish/start first.

Not a daily one, but when I do sit down to write I try to go for at least 300-400 words (though if I really sit down to write it’ll typically go beyond that)

Theychel Headcanons that @A-not-so-amazing-disaster and I thought up one morning on the PJO discord server Rachel teaching both Thalia and Reyna how to paint, until Thalia starts a paint war and they end up laughing like the dorks they are. -If anyone messes with any of the three the others would totally kick ass -Reyna braiding Rachel and Thalia's hair -They have sleepovers all th etime Thalia doing their makeup And Rachel doing body paint, they would have awesome halloweens I think Rachel would be the movie nerd, since she has the most experience with the "mortal" world, while Thalia would be the music nerd Them dragging the others to what they respectively nerd out to Omg imagine Reyna draggin them to a horse race yes! and Reyna spent so much time with Circe that she would know how to give some awesome massages they know each other so well that they know what kind of sented candles the others like smelling while having a massage -imagine them having a night in just relaxing with popcorn, movies, massages and just being with the other They met when the giant war ends, Reyna was in the camp for a while, Rachel would also be there and they bond while reconstructing evrything broken, and just laughing in the bonfire. Then Thalia comes with all the hunters of Artemis (and Reyna thinks she's super cute since they met in BoO) and they start having conversations with each other all the time, and after becoming best friends, they start to slowly fall in love? Then they get sent on this batshit insane quest when the Oracle is working again, and stop at a McDonald's. Thalia starts throwing chips at them, and it ends in a full scale food fight and then it clicks. They go on a road trip later on, Thalia cannot drive and they get pulled over. Then Reyna drives. Reyna is the kind of person who goes 5 miles above the speed limit and swears at every moving thing. Rachel is filming this and also films Thalia losing the map out of the window (and Thalia jumping out of the car to retrieve it). Reyna being nostalgic and telling them stories about Skippy. And then Thalia tells them stories about some of the hunters during the Titan War, and Rachel tells them stories about the battle of Manhattan. They end up crying in their tent over all the lost demigods, and making plans to start a museum so no one forgets what they did. Rachel would talk about her new prophecies maybe? Like when she haves an inkling that something will happen? And Thalia and Reyna help her figure everything out And Reyna and Thalia teaching Rachel how to fight. I think Rachel would also be awesome at the bow or throwing knives? You need to have a good aim to hit a titan with a hairbrush. And then Thalia and Reyna sparr together and Rachel checks them both out. I think Thalia would claim she would fight every monster in existence to comfort her girlfriends. And like Thalia and Rachel always get in a daze when they see Reyna talking about something she's really passionate about? since she doesn't always show her emotions they love to see her eyes light up with emotion Yes! And Reyna listening to Thalia nerd out to bands Because it's no lie that Thalia likes green day (Look at the Titans Curse at the school dance). Yeah, imagine her having a breakdown over some band splitting up and Rachel and Reyna comforting her while they all sing together? Reyna would give the best presents. She always knows exactly what to get for them. And you physically cannot surprise Rachel. Thalia would shop the last day and freak out, then has a stroke of genius and gives them something really good (Rachel and Reyna won't let her live down the chocolate shampoo ever). Thalia would steal Reyna and Rachel's shampoos' all the time. Rachel would do a painting of them all laughing for the holidays. Them wearing matching bracelets. The matching ugly Christmas sweaters. Yes! And them having the shirts (If lost return to Rachel) ( I don't want her, give her to Reyna) (I'm Reyna). Or Reyna has Keep Them on the back. Annabeth laughs her ass off when she sees it. And Thalia falls out of bed a lot because she has a side and Rachel kicks. Rachel makes so much mess. She leaves her drawing everywhere, Reyna trips over them at night and Thalia just puts a camera to record everytime Reyna falls (it has happened 49 times) But Reyna films whenever Thalia loses her keys and has to climb in the back window which Rachel leaves open for times like this (They refuse to lend her their keys because she needs to learn). Rachel would also be a cuddler, and the first time they sleep together Reyna blushes like crazy because hole fuck???? these two girls are so cute and they are willingly hugging me? And nightmares don't really happen that often anymore, they feel safe. Rachel makes sure the house always smells like lavenders. They get a dog, and it hops on the bed with them. And Reyna keeps complaining "Why do we have a dog? Aren't Aurum and Argentum enough?" Thalia always replies that they are cold and she needs warmth. But the dog and Reyna can be found asleep on the couch when Thalia and Rachel get home one night. Yes, at first she would be like "Ew, puppy" but then she falls in love with the dog. Thalia always has cold hands and feet, she likes to creep on Rachel and scare her. And so whenever Thalia has random splotches of paint on her Reyna knows she tried that again. Rachel on a natural reaction hits people and has accidentally given Thalia a black eye. Multiple times. Reyna just sighs, but melts at the cuteness of them. Reyna tickles Thalia Thalia is super ticklish, especially on her feet. She gives the cutest laugh when tickled, and it seems like happiness just radiates from her And then Reyna kisses her girlfriends and drags them to bed because those two would stay up till seven am if they're not made to sleep. Reyna first fell in love with her laugh. And her eyes. I was about to add that! She would always feel her stomach make turns when Thalia looked at her in the eye Neither Rachel or Reyna can reject her puppy face. ~~Theychel watching Voltron together~~ YES! Rachel loves Pidge, and jokes about Reyna being Shiro, and Thalia being Keith. Thalia emotionally connects with Keith, all while Reyna facepalms. They quote the show. They have meme wars about the show. Everyone is so confused on why they keep shouting ; I say Vol, you say? Vol...tron? Or: We had a bonding moment! I cradled you in my arms! Nope don't remember didn't happen. Rachel totally makes fan art. Thalia ships Shallura and Reyna ships Hidge. They want to have a cat after watching the show. But the dog (ironically called Rover) hates cats. Rachel ships Klance with her life. Rachel pretends to talk to the dog about robots and the dog just watches her confused. They have marathons. They all don't mind about Sha/Ladin but they don't ship it. I think they would take Lance as their meme son, and would explode laughing with his terrible attempts at flirting. They cuddle while watching, of course. Thalia says: fuck demigods, I want to be an altean. And Rachel spits out her coke a d mutters you are. And they cry so hard during crystal venom and the last two episodes. They have casual existential crisis about waiting. As they are dorks, they probably (definitely) have their own headcanons. Rachel is face down on the floor muttering about Pidges family. Tumblr mom Rachel sees the season 2 trailor first and the others find out when she spams their chat group with things like *"Shiro no"* and *"Why would you do this"* Reyna loves the Keith and Shiro being step-brothers, because it reminds her of her and Hylla. They would probably (definitely) freak out about the trailer. Thalia uses a lot of slang in her texts and it confuses Reyna Rachel watchs amused how Reyna scolds Thals about proper grammar Reyna Percy brotp where he lets her keep her phone at his mom's place so this way she always has a way of talking to her gfs. Yes! Percy and Annabeth ship them 3 so hard, Percy offers them blue cookies And when Thalia and Percy start fighting, it's up to Rachel to break them up Omg ~~Reyna lowkey wants to see who'll win~~ Reyna makes bets, all while cheering for her gf BUT THINK ABOUT WHEN REYNA AND RACHEL DIE AND THALIA IS STILL INMORTAL ;-; Thalia going to the funerals Crying so much ~~Thalia being upset about her dead girlfriends and goes all out and accidently dies in battle~~ And being reminded of everything they did together. And if both of them died in battle Thalia would probably spend ages tracking down the monster and killing it, but she gets killed instead (they would meet in the underworld, having an awesome time in Elysium and when Rachel and Reyna see Thalia enter they just bear hug the shit out of her ~~Nico telling them that if they want to do *that*, he knows a spare room they could use~~) And everyone is looking for Thalia and they find her body in a laistrygonian giants lair and everyone knows exactly what happened. (Sorry if this doesn't read very well, I'm on my phone and it's dying) (Also for those who find these in discord, I changed the order around a bit so it sounded better because we kept talking over each other)

i’m gonna try to articulate my thoughts but if you can imagine smoke bombs exploding into vague plot lines, that’s what’s happening in my head right now so apologies in advance for the mess (also im going backwards lol):

Second guild war — hypothetically,,,, if there were an itasakushi era sometime in the history of men falling on their feet for sakura, i believe the itasakushi would have developed in the course of this war, although they may have been acquainted with each other earlier. common enemy: danzo, and what better way to wreak havoc and violence than to have him die by the hands of this (im calling it) legendary trio (but that’s also because im quite invested in them). the five-year captivity is also a huge plus because i imagine shisui and itachi running around like headless chickens looking for the apple of their cursed uchiha eyes

quick question (if it’s not a spoiler) - which naruto characters would fall under thundersins? ibiki is the guildmaster, so does that mean his guild is composed of t&i people? im not quite sure who (in the naruto-verse) can get fooled by danzo into waging this war…

First guild war — can u tell us who was the mage who killed a witch? who was the witch? what were they fighting about??? was it a serious badass battle? were they secretly friends?? lovers??? did danzo have anything to do with this??? or maybe hanzo??? HOLY SHIT WOULD THE AME CHARACTERS BE INVOLVED HERE??? AKATSUKI??? but it’s ok if it’s still a secret… we can go detective on this one

speaking of ame and the other nations in the canonverse — will they also be part of this au? i mean we’ve already seen suna folks in OL&W but maybe like chojuro from kiri and other notable characters from the other hidden villages?

And to the violent era — using canonverse as basis, this would most likely be the counterpart of the hashirama-madara founding a village arc and/or the period before that, since they were also just fighting to death and using child soldiers. but actually im more curious about the guild wars than this era unless something dramatic happened lol other than the self-indulging satisfaction of blood thirst 🤣🤣🤣 im just really more invested when sakura is around. i would say tho, the lore is still interesting because im quite curious as to why the beginning is violent? was it because the gods had a fallout and all they really knew was to be violent about it? if it’s something similar, i’m getting a little bit of mythology-percy jackson vibes (which i LOVE) so Y A Y

They would probably meet during GW2 and hit it off pretty well. 1) because Shisui is one charming motherfucker, and 2) Itachi would def draw Sakura in with his smooth humor. Plus, as reclusive as Sakura is in this, she does enjoy being friends with them.

and sasuke was being a total asshole [as usual] and sakura shuts him up with telling him that she's slept with both itachi and shisui. and then all three of them together. to which sasuke has an ANEURYSM LMFAO

but in this one, ItaSakuShi DEF goes on missions together after GW2 and totally fuck and get drunk and hang out. its verified, it has happened, i am comfirming this.)

Ok so!!!! Thundersins would consist mainly of non clan people in Nart. So, Lee, Tenten, Gai, Anko, Genma, ect. Though, we won’t be seeing Gai, Genma, or Anko until much, much later :) Though, Shisui is a part of the Thundersins guild, because he’s just more suited for assassinations rather than wizarding.

so basically, i'm just kind of putting people wherever i think they'd be suited best!

Danzo himself is a tricky bastard and at the time of GW2, Thundersins is still a relatively “new” guild, and they’re mainly human at this point, meaning that they were the weakest guild. It mostly comes down to the fact that Danzo, the manipulative asshole, was able to get their aid. He kept the entire kidnapping a secret for years (i’m estimating at least fifty or so) because the war and then it came to light by some spies or sum

As for the first guild war LMFAO i have absolutely no idea at all which mage killed what witch, i didn’t really think about it tbh! Maybe it was one of sakura’s bullies,,, LMAO honestly? I’ll leave all of that lore to you!!! I like keeping some details vague just so readers can take it and RUN AHAHAHHA. So yeah! Maybe they were lovers! And the entire killing was an accident! Who knows!

OKAY SO! This is going to make sound TERRIBLE. But i hadn’t even thought of Mist or Ame or any of the other villages until you said something LMAOOO

Well… the akatsuki plays a HUGE role in the next two fics,, so i can’t really say much about them hehe…

I do love chojuro and mei and haku and just LKSMDANFKSLD yeah. Going to be honest: they totally slipped my mind which is awful. Head in hands frfr. But i can tell you this:

Mei would be a mage, Chojuro would be either an assassin or a mage… one of the two… haku and zabuza are assassins. Ao would probably be a wizard too.

As for the other Jinchūrikis,,,, you’ll have to wait for the next two (if i have...write them… haha..)!

THE VIOLENT ERA! And yes! So, this is basically the time where the Living are the most… animalistic? Especially since the gods’ “fallout” as you call it! Thepheria served as a balance to both Peace and War, she is Balance in the very sense of the word so… if something happens to her, the entire world goes into cause and it can take a long time for it to find equilibrium!

Nothing huge happened here, this was like the “stone age” of this world and very self indulgent with the whole savagery of it, but also highlighting that deep, deep down these Living (and humans) are angry and violent at their cores. Its their roots and no matter how they progress, it will always come back to war and bloodshed.
