Dvalin's first experiences being yelled at and scorned when he first came down as a young child, and then over the years people became more amicable towards him, but there's still quite a distance between them as Dvalin, being a close friend of the Anemo Archon and one of the Four Winds, is still a sort of figure of worship

The wild thing is that, in the AU, Dvalin becoming a god ended up bringing him closer to mortals more than anything Venti had tried

It's something like what happened in this post about the ghosts and spirits post-Cataclysm. Mondstadters basically saw what Venti had; someone just as lost, just as scared like them but still trying their best

Anyway YES, Dvalin would indeed get a necklace of flowers! In one of my notes that I cannot for the life of me find, some of the kids post-Cataclysm tried to give Dvalin a bunch of flowers because they felt like he "needed them more than someone that won't even get to enjoy the spring anymore."

I think a solid marker of identifying a truly complex, compelling, and unique character is seeing the frequency and scale of how OOC they are written in fanfic

#Example 1: Luffy #Example 2: Feanor #Example 3: Venti #(which is was inspired this post) #I’m guilty of it- why do you think I avoid writing Feanor and luffy like the plague? #fanfiction en masse just cannot abide truly unique character and that’s fine #as a genre rather and again- that’s fine this is doll playing most of the time BUT #like… if a character has more than two layers of stuff going on it is almost entirely lost en masse #if they can’t fit a ‘fanfic comedia d’artte’ role because the original author truly wrote someone unique? it’s already fucking over #and this is not to say that less unique complex or layered characters aren’t compelling #they are very obviously #but when an author truly creates a character who is just THEMSELVES and fits no role… #what to say but I want to do that one day #it is rare and very hard to replicate #also Venti is not nearly as much that as Luffy and Feanor askfkfks #those two are… literary marvels tbh #venti is on the same level as say Gintoki #still means they’re massively ooc in most fics lol #Tribble post

in honour of my beloved albedo's birthday im showcasing my personal favourite team of his which is double geo spread (i swear it works its fun pls try)

#fun fact: this was the team i used to 36* abyss for the first time #funny story behind the team building actually #i had Very limited character options bc 1. i had no nahida #and 2. my dendro lumine was in second half bc i used burgeon for the triple kenkis #i had collei kuki and yaoyao but they were not built at the time 😭😭😭 #so i couldn't do hyperbloom or pair him with another dendro #but i wanted to clear abyss so i was like let me Try some other options #i had my core of alhaitham zhongli raiden for spread #thought of fischl first then kazuha as the 4th option #but i don't like using them in spread teams so i scrapped that idea #thought of xq and use hyperbloom raiden instead #but i used my only triple em paradise lost set on thoma so that's out of the picture #(i could've used gilded but i didn't have em pieces levelled up bro what was i DOING BACK IN 3.4 LMAO) #and then i remembered albedo's passive........ that gives em to the team when he uses his burst....... #i was like holy shit PERFECT #tried it out in abyss and got 36* 😭😭😭 i was so happy bc i could use 4/5 of my fave characters in one cycle #(rip venti tho i didn't use himshskjdksjsj) #so yeah this was long idk if anyone read all of this but this is my favourite team to slot albedo in LOL #there are better spread teams ofc + now that i have nahida and yaoyao built i always put either one of them with alhaitham #but i encourage all of you to try out some variation of this team it's fun i swear LMAO #lou.txt
