every time i put pepper on my food i think of two things. the first is my shitty aunt who still refuses to call me the correct name. the second is that one tumblr post that goes along the lines of ‘people are made up of pieces of the people they love / loved’ or however it goes, and it gave an example of how this person makes noodles or something a specific way because thats just how someone who’s no longer their friend taught them how to do it and im always like. man. yeah. its true.

I've been cut loose like a fraying thread and I've never been happier or more content. #there is no conclusion yet #there's just the feeling of apathy and rage #its brave of us to want to get married after them in the first place #this all started because picking out aesthetics was hard lol #i guess its time for another talk about how we want to be married but its annoyingly hard for two neurodivergent brains #we love to dance but not in the middle #we can do paperwork but the rounds of chores required makes us both pause #okay #im done now #this was cathartic

Who knew Eddie's dream sequence in 5x14 of Christopher, present yet distant, would be foreshadowing for the arc they're going to go through in Season 6

#The tone of that dream has a different feel in light of the fact that Eddie's going to have to learn to exist without the title of #'Father' as his primary source of identity #Eddie in that dream is very much so Dad to a Young Boy: his joke his silliness is that of a father still so enraptured in the youth of #his son. But then the dream turns on its head; Christopher is there but not. Eddie dies in front of him and he doesn't even flinch #I said when the episode aired that the fact that Christopher was in Eddie's trauma-induced dream at all is indicative of the fact #that one of Eddie's primary fears is losing his son. Or (more to the point) his son not needing him anymore. #So I imagine this period of transition that they're in is going to be... a challenge... in many different ways #Especially as Eddie contends with all the time he *missed* being Christopher's dad when he was in the service #Christopher was six years old when Eddie started taking care of him full time; that's six years that he missed #Now Chris is twelve/thirteen and what should have been over a decade with his son was really just 6-7 years #I imagine there's going to be a lot of guilt involved here.
