No because, the gay firefighter blorbos might not be fucking, but the canon is so wild. Eddie really woke up one day after almost dying, drove to his attorney, and added Buck to his fucking will. They had known each other for what? Two years? When Eddie literally signed a legal document tying him to Buck in a moment that was officially talked about as Eddie's way to say "I love you to the core" and then Eddie just didn't tell Buck about it until a year later. How much more wild can a ship get? Sure, we have easy stuff like the casual touches, the bizarre synchronization, and we have pretty intense stuff like the way Buck clawed at mud because he was ready to dig through 40 feet of it to get to Eddie, or how Eddie climbed a wet lightning rod to get to Buck, and how Buck has tasted Eddie's blood, and how Eddie literally brought Buck back to life, but they have a legal document tying them together for the past 3 seasons. WHAT THE FUCK. Like, for the love of God, what were the writers thinking when they decided on that particular plot. That's just fucking wild.

"Nala Se abandoned me," Omega hissed, molten hot rage coursing through her as she gripped her seat. "Because she was too busy thinking about you."

"So, what?" Crosshair asked, equally angry beside her. "You wanted to see what we had that you didn't? Wanted to know what was so special about us?"

He could feel disapproving stares from behind him.

"So what if I did?!" Omega stood, yelling. The others in the waiting room startled at the venom in her tone. "Is it so bad that I want to know why I wasn't enough?"

"I'd consider myself lucky, in your shoes." Crosshair near snarled, leaning forward to meet her glare. "You have no idea what it's like to be on the receiving end of her 'affection'."

"Well I want to know!" Omega cried, throwing her arms up in frustration. "I want to know what it's like to have a mother that cares!"

"She didn't fucking care!" Crosshair snagged her arm, tugging her back into her seat as he gave the surrounding people apologetic looks for the disruption.

Omega opened her mouth to retort. "Shut up." Crosshair hissed, tapping her hard on the shoulder. "Just– stop. We're going back to the house soon."

She crossed her arms with a huff.

Omega and Crosshair are.... they're getting there. Small lore drop to go with this one because its DEFINITELY needed(under the cut!!!!!) ->

This one is seriously ooc at some points- at least in regards to Omega, but in the context of her story in this au in particular, the frustration is understandable.

The story in this AU was that Omega was abandoned by Nala Se, not given up or lost in a custody fight. Hunter got a call one night from Cody, asking if he and the lads could take their sister in for a few weeks until they found something else(investigation pending and all) and Hunter agreed

The investigation went on, Nala Se disappeared off the map, and Omega was left in the care of the Bad Batch- obviously they immediately love her, they get along and nothing changes there- expect Omega is dealing with the reality of a mother who cared more about her siblings than her.

She's what, seven years old? Abused or not, she's jealous of the attention her siblings got. She's confused, she doesn't understand that her neglect was a lesser evil– she just wants to know what she did "wrong"(which is NOTHING !!!)

So, yeah, her and Crosshair are polarised in this(at first) because neither can understand the others point of view. They consider the other lucky, and can't understand why on earth the other would think such a thing. Its complicated and messy, they're not very friendly. They will be, though. They'll have a long talk :]

(also they're at the dentist when that happens, Tech's getting a little check-up, it has zero relevance to the story, I just wanted to go to the dentist because of what the office represents[cause another important lore stuff caused by my own irrational fear of dentist chairs !!!])

i do think if people are gonna be discussing the gods and religious institutions of exandria, we gotta talk about the fact that the dwendalian empire is, to my knowledge, the Only place in exandria we know about that has actual limitations on what gods people can worship enforced by law beyond outlawing the worship of betrayer gods. literally half of the prime deities are outlawed. we saw in hupperdook that people were being arrested for months because they worshipped avandra. i think its a little wild that we don't talk about this more to be honest.

Al Ewing is Right and Correct. Storm could solo everyone on that planet easy. She is also the most interesting character there and should be actually involved in the plot. She's STORM.

Being mildly allergic to almost every flowering vine like plant (fruit or vegetable) is really weird. Apparently it's some sort of protein that my immune system mistakes for a pollen?

But I'll just be over somewhere and they'll set out some form of raw veggie or fruit and I just have to sit there and be polite as I decline since body will decide that lips mouth and throat are now contaminated and must be attacked. And then they offer other options and I have to explain that, "no I can't have these other things bc they are also raw veggie. And no I can't have those baby carrots because they use chlorine in their preservative and I'm allergic to chlorine so those will actually make me sick.

And it's so shitty because I LOVE veggies straight from the garden, uncooked. And I just...can't have them.

Incredibly frustrated by the fact that secondary characters that were in situations that would merit instant death have returned, but a major character was easily thrown away with no chance at redemption.

Also, I didn't grow up playing, so I was under the impression that Makarov was a difficult and sadistic enemy. He died so easily.

None of this makes sense to me.

Yeah, I'm kinda impressed by how badly it's all going for them. Did they think this one was a winner? Surelyyyyy not, right?? I am kinda wondering if the backlash will make them come out and say something dumb like this was the equivalent to COD zombies and doesn't actually impact the main storyline. I really hope they do, honestly, because I love a good flop and messy damage control, me.

What does peeve me, though, is the fact that Graves is somehow still alive. I think it's so silly that we're now being told he wasn't in the tank. Like, wdym he wasn't in the tank?? Did Soap and Rudy not bond over filet-o-Graves??? But I think Makarov is still alive, though. He got away at the end.

It's all so silly it makes me laugh.
