Dispatch Publishes Exposé on ITZY’s Eve’s Fight With JYP Entertainment

There is one main antagonist

Back in January of 2024, ITZY member Eve filed a lawsuit to terminate her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment. In March, she was granted a preliminary injunction. Today, Dispatch released a damning exposé on Eve’s feud with JYP Entertainment. In the article, Dispatch released texts between Eve and Director A.

The article begins with a text that Eve sent to Park Jinyoung (also known as JYP) in December of 2018.

Hello, PD-nim,

Thank you for adding me to the lineup of ITZY! I know I didn’t do as well as you hoped on Produce 48, but thank you for giving me this opportunity. I’ll make sure to be an artist that gives her all.

Eve has revealed that Park Jinyoung told her that her performance on Produce 48 would determine whether or not she would debut in ITZY. This text displays Eve’s gratitude at being in ITZY despite not making it to the final debut group of Produce 48 – IZ*ONE. When it was revealed that Eve was rigged out of IZ*ONE in favour of other idols, Eve found out that Director A already knew and had left her to feel insecure about her performance. This lack of communication would be a common theme in Eve’s career going forward.

In early April of 2021, Director A sent Eve a message about her appearance on a variety show that he had arranged without her knowledge. The show they were discussing is believed to be Sea of Hope.

In September of 2021, Eve was talking with fans on Bubble when a fan asked her about her solo schedules. “I’m an employee, so I just do whatever the company tells me to,” Eve said.

In 2022, Eve had her solo debut with the mini album ‘diary entries’. The album was released a few weeks before ITZY had a comeback, and Eve reportedly displayed hesitance at how close the two releases were. During an episode of I Live Alone, Eve told her brother, SHINee’s Key, that her schedule was so full that she had a panic attack.

The next text exchange is from July of 2022. Eve told Director A that she wasn’t feeling well and asked to sit out of a performance. Based on the timing of this conversation, it is believed to be the night before Eve fainted during ITZY’s pre-recording.

Dispatch then alleged that Eve was treated differently to her members. It can be seen in an Instagram live that Eve and Yeji did in October of 2023.

Comment: Have you seen your families recently?

Eve: I’m not allowed to.

Yeji: What do you mean? We are.

Eve: I’m not allowed to.

Yeji: (Whispering) Director?

EVe. (Nods)

That sentiment was repeated when Eve went on Amazing Saturday to promote her latest solo album ‘until spring’ and said she hasn’t seen her parents since early 2023.

The next text exchange between Eve and Director A echo the same issue once more. This exchange was from November or 2023 when Eve’s mom was in Seoul. Eve mentions the fact that she wasn’t allowed to go home during Chuseok.

On a phone call between the two in December of 2023, Director A was talking to Eve about the comeback that she’d be having in February of this year.

Director A: This will be an anticipated album so do well

Eve: Why do I keep having solo schedules when I’m not a soloist?

Director A: Because the fans like it

Eve: No, they don’t. They keep swearing at me for all of these schedules. Isn’t it time for one of the other members to debut?

Director A: Don’t worry about that.

EVe: It’s like you want to work with me until I die from all of this. Just give me a break. I’m busy preparing for two comebacks right now.

Director A: Just like a real professional. Well done.

Fnas and non-fans alike have pointed out how JYP Entertainment doesn’t do much to protect EVe from hate that was sent her way, instead using her as a shield from criticism.

In early January of 2024, the two conversed again. Director A was scolding Eve for missing schedules. It is unsure what schedules he is referring to.

He made the same complaint in February and Eve went on to list how Director A continuously failed to do his job in a way that makes it easy for employees to carry on their duties. He threatened to sue her.

Eve mentioned experiencing symptoms such as fainting and disassociation due to her busy schedules, which were seen earlier this year in her The Manager episode and her ‘until spring’ album documentary. Fans have also noticed that Eve has lost her usual excitement and energy, instead constantly looking tired and worn out. Eve herself has said that she doesn’t enjoy performing anymore, she just enjoys being with her members and seeing fans.

Dispatch sent Eve a list of questions when they heard of her lawsuit against JYP Entertainment. Here are Eve’s answers.

Q: Did you know there was an issue with the way you were being treated?

Eve: Yes.

Q: What moment gave you the push to end your contract?

Eve: It wasn’t like there was one specific moment. It was just moments piling on each other. People can only endure for so long before they fight back.

Q: This must have been a shock to the people around you.

Eve: Not really actually. Talking about it with my members was encouragement to go through with it. A few staff members said they were sick of the way I was being treated and wanted me to leave the company and go to a better one. When I told my family, they didn’t even pretend to be shocked, they just asked me what I would like as a treat to myself.

Q: Some might say that you treated Director A in a disrespectful manner.

Eve: That was my intention.

Q: Did you know he was the one pulling the strings in your career?

Eve: Yes, I did. At first I thought it was PD-nim because he would be the one to tell me things, but then I realised he’s not bold enough to do something like that and I realised that every time I didn’t listen to him, he’d look a bit worried. When I found out that Director Park was just telling PD-nim to do these things to me, I felt bad for PD-nim. Being disrespected in the company you started is kind of loser behaviour if I’m being honest.

Q: How did your members take the news?

Eve: I talked to them about it after I started considering leaving the company. I told them what was going on in my head and things like that, and they told me that they would support me no matter what. In fact, I was concerned about how this would affect them and ITZY’s career, but they told me that I should focus on being happy. With their encouragement, I was able to do this.

Q: JYP Entertainment argued that you were rude to the staff. Is that true?

Eve: I’m not one to be rude without reason. If you are rude to me, then I will act the same way towards you. If I was rude towards a staff member, they know what they did to deserve it.

MIDZY Presents: Areum Loving Chaeryeong for 3 Minutes and 58 Seconds

“You’re a cutie baby, baby”

Behind the scenes of ICY mv, Areum was watching Chaer do her scenes, each time that the director called cut she would coo over her. Areum would pinch her cheeks and speak to her, MIDZY loved seeing her constantly dote over Chaeryeong and make sure she was enjoying herself for filming

“You know I love you”

During a radio interview the girls were asked what was one of their most impactful moments with another member, and Chaer mentioned how Areum would sit with her and remind her how much she was a valued member of the team. When she was speaking, Areum was seen sitting next to Yeji wiping tears as Chaer got emotional and gave her a heartfelt thanks

“If you have nothing nice to say, don’t mention my members”

Areum was never shy about her upbringing and her family, often excited to share memories and photos. When she was doing a vlive, Areum was speaking about fond memories with her family and members when she mentioned how she loved to bring Chaer with her on family visits. As she was reading comments, MIDZY saw her face drop and her roll her eyes, she simply scoffed and announced that she would be ending the live due to ‘rude and unjust comments’ and then sent a message on bubble that she wouldn’t be interacting as much with MIDZY until they learned to respect her members. Fans shared screenshots across SNS where featured comments attacking Chaeryoeng for going back home with Areum

There are many moments when you see Areum mothering the girls, editors made a mini compilation of her aspirated expressions as she followed an over excited Chaer picking up after her - yet she would scold the others if they made her pout and told her to clean up after herself

Areum featured on The Manager, where it was seen that she spoke constantly of her members. When the scene played of Areum getting worked up, they asked who called her after she answered the phone with a cute ‘my baby hello!’. Smiling, she mentioned that no matter what is going on, whenever she gets extremely upset, Chaer is the person who always appears to her. She always claims that Chaer is her miracle in her idol life

When the group was visiting a theme park, Chaer kept getting attached to but the girls were constantly saying that she could only get one thing to take back because she already owned so many trinkets and plushies. MIDZY favourite clip of the two that day was Areum whispering that whatever she wanted she could have because her unnie would get it for her

Many longstanding MIDZY fans are aware of how run down the group can get with constant hate and people telling them that they wouldn’t amount to the fame that their labelmates have. MIDZY notice that no matter what, the oldest is always there in the background cheering them on and encouraging them to constantly do better and allow for mistakes. A fan favourite moment would be from when Areum was monitoring a practice for Chaeryeong’s feature stage when the young girl kept getting frustrated with herself. The elder made her sit and speak out everything that she felt was going wrong and then used the examples to instead show her how she was improving so much. After the performance Areum was seen standing and yelling out cheers for her member, many seniors watching with fond looks

“She’s my person”

Chaeryeong was doing a vlive when she was asked how she liked being an idol, she mentioned that life was hard but she loved being with her members. She said how no matter what was happening a very big constant in the biggest moments was Areum. Chaer went on a four minute spiral about every moment that Areum was there to witness and she even mentioned how she wants to be with her for the rest of ITZY and beyond

Is a significant shareholder in Team Wang, which Jackson surprised her with.

When they all got their own places Yexi didn't want to live alone so she debated asking Minghao or Jun to be her Roomie but Mingyu and Wonwoo brought up staying together since they knew she didn't want to live alone.

She picks up languages easily but because of this she ends up blending languages into the same sentence sometimes.

She's gotten offers to do movies in China but she never moves forwarded because she hates being alone.

One night while drunk her and Cheol talked about his enlistment and she told him that she was worried about when everyone would enter because it had always been the 14 of them. He promised to let her keep his ring on a necklace so she'd always have the reminder that it was temporary.

She was shocked when she found out that Taehyung from BTS was into her.

She has her own room at Jackson's place despite rarely being there.

She helped produce some of the songs on Jungkooks album under a different name.

She gets excited every time she gets to meet/talk to NCTs Mark.

She visits the other Got7 members, mostly Jinyoung and Bambam.

The Got7 members all still check in with her occasionally since Jackson is usually in China.

She was tongue tied for the first time she met ITZYs Ryujin.

Gave up the opportunity to be a coach in Street Dance China

Her biggest fan base are the males in Japan, they go feral for her over there.

She gets a lot of opportunities in Japan but she isn't the biggest fan of doing things alone since in the past she's been put in awkward positions (more so in the beginning of her career)

Her only big stipulation when resigning the contract was that she would get the veto power for any hair cut or hair color the company wanted.

Bam (jungkooks dog) is staying at her apartment while jungkook is serving in the military.

summary: yuna is always used to seeing her girlfriend in cute, oversized clothes ever since debut

a/n: i wasn't sure if you wanted y/n to be a member of itzy but i hope this will do!

Yuna rolls around in her bed, grumbling at the fact that they have to practice today for the upcoming comeback. She lazily rubs her eyes before reaching for her phone on top of her dresser. Opening her phone which shows a lockscreen of her and her girlfriend, resulting in a small smile on her face before realizing the time.

"8:40?? I'm late!" She rushes out of bed, dreading at the fact that Yeji might kill her if she doesn't arrive at the practice room at 9.

OMG OMG OMG! Why didn't anyone tell her? (all 5 of them did, she totally didn't brush it off or anything.)

Running to the bathroom in a hurry, she grabs her toothbrush and smother it with toothpaste before frantically rushing back to her room while scattering through her closet for something to wear.

GREAT! The one day where she woke up late, her clothes are all still in the washer.

With a weird noise coming from her, she takes a hairtie and uses it to tie her pajama shirt into a crop top. "This'll have to do for now, I don't have time for this."

Running back into the bathroom, Yuna spits out the toothpaste and gargles her mouth quickly with water before entering her room to grab her phone and leave the dorm.

Thank goodness her beautiful girlfriend has a pair of extra sneakers in the lockers.

Everyone in the practice room waits for Yeji while you constantly check on your phone for a text from Yuna. It's already 9:05 already and the members persuaded Yeji to grab a coffee because the cat eyed leader was continuously yawning upon arriving at practice.

You let out another sigh while dropping your phone besides you on the ground.

"Still no text?" Ryujin asks, prompting you to shake your head with a pout.

Ryujin and you are currently stretching while Jisu and Chaeryeong lie on the couch while scrolling timelessly on their phones.

"Hmm, I see Yuna hasn't arrived yet." Yeji announces from the front of the room, standing at the foot of the door with coffee.

Everyone halts with what they were doing, Jisu and Chaeryeong sits up and stands up from the couch while Ryujin and you stand up as well. All members look at their leader and with concern for Yuna in their heads; most importantly, you.

"She texted me that she was on her way." You speak up, clasping your hands together.

Ryujin snaps her head towards you before looking back at Yeji. "Yeah. She'll be here soon."

"Gosh! She's always late." Yeji huffs in frustration, walking to set her coffee on the table in the back of the practice room.

You peer over to Ryujin, signaling her to comfort the cat eyed leader in hopes of an easy practice.

"What? Why me?"

"She's your girlfriend, genius."

The short-haired female throws her head back while groaning before rushing shortly to Yeji. "Babe, you're stressing yourself out as usual. Yuna will get here and it'll all be okay."

"If she doesn't get here in 5 minutes, we'll start without her."

Chaeryeong hums in agreement while Jisu mutters a "she's probably having one of those days."

"I just know we're going all out from the beginning." The fox-resemblance female softly mutters to both Jisu and you. "All because of Yuna."

The freshly dyed blonde-haired turns to you. "How come you have no clue on your girlfriend's whereabouts? Why aren't you coming with her to practice?"

If only it was that easy to get Shin Yuna out of bed.

"Every morning, I wake her up more than three times!" You defend yourself. "Today was ten times and each time, she told me to not worry about it."

Chaeryeong tsks in a disapproving matter. "Let's hope Ryujin is able to calm down our leader."

With only a small noise of agreement coming from your mouth, you whip out your phone for the last time to check if you've gotten anything from your girlfriend. Seeing an empty screen, you could only sigh before putting the device away.

"OK! I gave her 6 minutes and she's not here!" Yeji claps her hands to get everyone's attention. "We'll start from the top! Everyone get in positions."

With all the members obeying the eldest's words, you quickly take off your quarter zip up which reveals an Adidas sleeveless crop top.

The outfit combination for today consists of low waisted gray sweatshorts and the sleeveless top which perfectly enhances your toned abs that you've recently worked out tremendously for just for this comeback.

"Oh wow, Y/N!" Yeji winks at you through the reflection of the mirrors. "Look at your abs!"

Ryujin widens her eyes, rushing towards you. "You and I work out every time, how come I've never noticed this?"

"You're crazy, Y/N!" Jisu says with a glint in her eyes.

Chaeryeong comes up to you, pinching your abdomen. "You never wear revealing clothes."

"I ran out of my usual laundry!" You laugh at the sudden changed atmosphere in the room.

The leader also lets out a laugh. "If Yuna isn't here, we have Y/N's abs."

Shin Yuna usually is never THIS late. Frankly, she doesn't know how this happened?

Frantically panting as she rushes to push on all buttons on the elevators in the JYP building. While waiting for the doors to open, the black haired takes a second to catch her breath, placing her hands on her knees.

"Yeji is sooo going to have me working overkill." She mumbles to herself, feeling sweat dripping down her forehead at the idea of the cat-eyed leader but also from sprinting crazily from earlier.

The doors finally let out a ring, opening up shortly.

"What if I just don't go?" Yuna asks to herself, proceeding to walk in.

The door shuts slowly; has it always been this slow? Her hold on the strap on her bag tightens, waiting for the elevator to switch between floors now.

The second the doors starts opening again, Yuna could've sworn she heard her own breath hitch. The loud music coming from a specific practice room already becoming a loud knock to the female.

With heavy steps full of precision yet cowardice, the tall female arrives at her designated place in a matter of a few seconds.

Curse herself for being so damn tall.

Standing right in front of the closed door, Yuna shuts her eyes to inhale and exhale.

Here goes nothing. Besides, the expected overkill.

"Hi. I'msosorrythatIwaslate. Ihonestlydon'tknowhowithappened." Yuna speaks immediately upon opening the door widely.

Now, Yuna wouldn't exactly call herself whipped for you or anything but instead of looking at the eldest member, her eyes immediately goes straight to you.

WOW.

"You're late." Yeji tries to say with a stern voice but failing after seeing the way Yuna is looking at you.

The black haired female lets out a nod, still mesmerized from how amazing you look while dancing to Kill Shot.

It was a rule enforced by the members that if anyone is getting scolded, the others will continue dancing so that way practice won't be as late when it ends.

"We're about to have lunch soon, just stand at the back for now, Yuna-ah." The leader could only say gently before turning back.

Yuna forces to break her eyes away from her girlfriend, pout slightly evident on her mouth while taking her bag off from her shoulder and setting it down on the couch.

"Okay! That was good." Yeji claps, smiling like the innocent leader she is. "How about we take a lunch break?"

Everyone lets out a satisfied sound, Ryujin rushing over to Yeji's side while Jisu and Chaeryeong lets out a gag before leaving the room.

"Babe!" Your eyes lit up at Yuna, running to her.

Yuna opens her arms as usual to hold you. "Hey baby."

"What's wrong?" You ask, slightly letting go to see more of your girlfriend's face.

The taller can only let out a sigh, still pouting. "How come you've never wore clothes like these in front of me? I have to find out you have this beautiful body during practice? And on the day I was late!"

You could only giggle at Yuna's behavior, placing a chaste kiss on her chin. "I was low on laundry and only had these."

The older lets out a hum before resting her head down into the crook of your neck. "You look beautiful so I'll let you off the hook this time."

"You do?" Wrapping your arms back around Yuna.

Yuna hums again. "Even with those toned abs, you'll always be my teddy bear."

Eve exhaled deeply as she sat on the couch in ITZY’s greenroom. She was sipping on an Iced Americano as her members had conversations around her. Slurping the last of her coffee, she placed the cup down on the table nearest to her.

“You’re drinking your coffee so aggressively,” Yuna commented.

Ryujin nodded. “Are you okay? You’re not going mad, are you?”

Eve waved them off. “I’m cool. I’m cooler than cool, I’m freezing.”

Yuna shared a look with Ryujin. “Okay,” she said.

The members went back to having their own conversations, leaving Eve to herself once more. She played with her fingers, picking at her skin. Deep in thought, she was drawn out by Yeji whining.

“My rice puff is almost done,” she said, pouting.

“Yeji, you’ve been eating them nonstop,” Lia said with a laugh. “It’s your second packet.”

Yeji huffed. “But I like them so much.”

Eve stood up, stretching her back as it began to feel stiff. Her bones clicked, drawing attention to her once more.

“Unnie, can you get me more rice puffs?” Yeji asked in a cute tone.

Eve widened her eyes in shock. “Suddenly?”

Yeji nodded sheepishly. “I’m tired,” she explained.

“Me too,” Eve responded in a similar tone. She sat back down on the couch with a huff.

“I’ll buy you Doritos,” Yeji bargained.

“How many rice puffs do you want?” Eve asked, standing back up. The staff in the room started laughing as she walked to the door.

“You changed your mind so easily,” Lia chuckled.

“I’m willing to do anything for Doritos.”

“Can I have five more rice puffs?” Yeji requested.

“I’m going to get Yeji more snacks,” Eve announced, reaching for the door handle.

“Thank you, unnie,” Yeji said sweetly, finishing off the last of her rice puff.

Eve shook her head endearingly at her member as she pushed the handle down, opening the door. She looked outside as she was about to leave before slamming the door shut with a gasp. She plastered herself against the door, breathing heavily as everyone looked at her.

“What is it?” Chaeryeong asked, holding her chest as she was startled by Eve.

“I can’t get the rice puffs,” Eve said, shaking her head with wide eyes.

“Why not?” Yeji asked, pouting.

“KARA sunbaenim is out there. I made eye contact with Jiyoung-nim.” She pushed off the door, walking back to the couch. Shaking her head, she sat down. “Jiji, I’m sorry, but you’ll just have to starve.” She shrugged apologetically.

“How did you interview them yesterday?” Lia asked.

“I didn’t. They didn’t do an interview and I just didn’t leave my green room.”

“But if we run into them later, you can’t run away,” Yeji told her.

“...Why?”

“It would be rude.”

Eve nodded hesitantly. “Okay. I won’t run away,” she weakly promised.

Ryujin stared at her. “Swear on your Kamilia identity.”

Eve gaped at her member. “Aren’t you being too harsh?”

“Swear on it.”

“I swear on my Kamilia identity,” Eve said, rolling her eyes in exasperation. “Happy?”

Yeji nodded. “Very.” She sagged into the couch. “But can somebody get me rice puffs?”

The members walked down the hallway after doing their pre-recorded stage, Eve occasionally drinking from a bottle of water. She had untwisted the lid of the bottle when a staff member ran into the group, causing her to squeeze the bottle in surprise. She closed her eyes as water hit her face, hearing everyone gasp.

“I’m sorry,” the staff member apologised as someone started dabbing Eve’s face dry.

“It’s okay, it was an accident,” she reassured the staff member when she opened her eyes. “I’m okay. Don’t stress. You can continue with whatever you were doing, it’s okay.”

The staff member bowed apologetically before walking away. Chaeryeong kept dabbing at Eve’s face.

“You need to redo your makeup,” she said. “It’s coming off.”

“I’ll go get Taehee unnie,” Ryujin volunteered, running to their green room.

Yeji ushered them to the side so they weren’t blocking the hallway as Chaeryeong finished wiping the water off Eve’s face.

“Now you can prove to people that you’re a natural beauty,” Lia joked.

Ryujin soon returned with Taehee on her heels. The makeup artist got to reapplying Eve’s makeup for her. A manager called the other members to the end of the hallway, leaving Eve and Taehee to themselves.

“We have to go now,” Eve heard Yeji say.

“Unnie, hurry up!” Yuna urged.

Eve shifted her lower body in the direction of her members as Taehee continued touching up her makeup. “I’m trying, but I’m being held hostage.”

Taehee poked her in the side. “I’m not holding you hostage, I’m fixing your makeup because you ruined it.”

Less than a minute later, Taehee let Eve go and she ran to her members. Ryujin and Lia immediately held onto her arms when she reached them, disguising it as holding her hands.

“Where are we going?” Eve asked.

Yeji shook her head. “Don’t worry.”

They continued walking until they reached the hallway leading to the room with a glass window. Talking by the window, there were five women standing in front of the glass. Eve squinted her eyes, trying to figure out who they were before gasping upon realising who they were.

“I need to go,” she whispered. Lia and Ryujin tightened their hold on her, preventing her from running away.

“Unnie, you can’t go,” Ryujin said. “You swore on your Kamilia identity.”

“I didn’t mean it, I just needed you to stop pestering me about running.”

“Well, we’re about to go talk to them, so control yourself,” Yeji said through her smile as they arrived in front of their seniors. They lined up along the wall, getting ready to greet the senior girl group. Yeji did the group intro for them, Eve whispering along. She tried to avoid making eye contact with the KARA members, ignoring Nicole’s chuckle at her awkwardness.

“Should we go that side?” Jiyoung pointed to the area by the window.

“That’s fine,” Yeji agreed.

The two groups walked to the area, their managers following them.

“Nicole told us that Eve-ssi is a fan, so you should do the dance challenge with her,” Gyuri suggested.

Yeji shook her head. “I’m sorry, but she can’t.”

“Why not?”

Lia shook Eve’s hand that she was holding as she spoke, “If we let go of her, she’s going to run away.”

Eve pursed her lips, feeling her face get hot with embarrassment. “I won’t run away,” she whined softly.

“She will,” Yeji insisted with a nod.

Gyuri nodded in understanding and the groups decided that Yeji and Yuna would film the TikTok’s with Seungyeon and Nicole. The other members stood back as they watched the four women go over the dances.

“Are you a Kamilia?” Jiyoung asked Eve, who was trying to wiggle her way out of Ryujin and Lia’s grasp.

“Me?” Eve asked, her voice shaking. She scoffed before shaking her head. “No. I don’t even know what a– what a Kamilia is,” she lied. “Do you know what a Kamilia is?” She asked Ryujin. Not waiting for a response, she continued speaking, “It sounds like that one animal, chameleon, but it’s not a chameleon because if it were then I couldn’t be one, you know? Because I’m not an animal,” she explained in case nobody understood what she was saying. “But then again, technically, according to scientists, humans are animals because we were monkeys, but not anymore, or something, and it’s kinda–”

“Unnie, it’s okay,” Ryujin interrupted. Flexing her hand, she let go of Eve’s arm. “You can run if you want to.”

“No, she can’t,” Ari said, pointedly looking at Eve, who was staring at the wall.

Ryujin shook her head, grabbing hold of Eve once more. “Nevermind, you can’t. But just stop talking, please,” she whispered. “I’m embarrassed for you.”

“You got it,” Eve whispered back, shifting on her feet out of nerves. The KARA members laughed lightly at Eve’s cuteness. They all watched as the other four members began to film the dance challenge to Cheshire, seeing how dedicated Chaeryeong was to filming for them. They then checked over the video, deciding to film another one. After filming, they checked over the video before posting it to ITZY’s account.

“You sure you don’t want to film the challenge?” Nicole asked Eve, who looked away and ignored the idol.

“Unnie knows the choreography to the whole song,” Yuna said, “but she’s seriously going to run away.”

“Stop being weird,” Nicole told the younger girl.

Eve looked at Lia with an offended expression on her face. “Why am I being bullied?” She whined softly.

“It’s not bullying, it’s not bullying,” Lia whispered.

“I feel bullied.”

“No, it’s just… It’s just.”

“Just what?”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“You can carry on with filming the challenge,” Chaeryeong said to the idols who were watching Eve and Lia’s interaction. Jiyoung volunteered to film the challenge for When I Move, showing as much enthusiasm as Chaeryeong.

Eve unconsciously tapped her foot along to the music, marking the dance with her hands. She didn’t notice how Lia was smiling at her. When Nicole, Seungyeon, Yeji and Yuna were done filming the challenge, the two groups bowed to each other.

“Thank you,” Yeji said. “Good luck with your promotions!”

Youngji nodded, lips flattening in a smile. “You too. Fighting!” She gestured for ITZY to leave first as they still had something else to do.

Eve peeked out the corner of her eye to Ari, and upon seeing the nod sent her way, freed herself from Ryujin and Lia’s hold. She turned around, sprinting down the hallway before anyone could say anything until she disappeared around a corner.

“She’s very fast,” Gyuri gasped as Yuna widened her eyes in embarrassment.

“Sorry,” Ari apologised, stepping forward. “She’s just such a big fan.”

“No, it’s okay,” Nicole waved her off. “I know she’s… interesting. We understand.”

Ryujin nodded her head. “Goodbye,” she said as the members bowed again before walking away.

Eve was the last person to leave the green room, having had to return because she forgot her power bank. She had just closed the door when someone called her name. She looked up and saw Seungyeon and Jiyoung. Her grip on the door handle tightened in shock.

“We wanted to give you this.” Jiyoung held out a Move Again album that had been signed by all of the members. Eve stared at it, not quite knowing how to function like a normal person, before looking up at Jiyoung.

“Me?” She asked in a high pitched voice, using her unoccupied hand to point at herself.

“Yes. You’re a big fan, so we wanted to gift it to you,” she explained.

“Me?”

“Yes,” Seungyeon said, smiling. She stepped forward, taking hold of Eve’s hand as Jiyoung placed the album in Eve’s hold before stepping back again. “You would always mention KARA a lot and that brought a lot of new fans to listen to our music.”

Eve stared at Seungyeon, struggling to wrap her head around what was happening. “No.”

“No, what?”

“People… listen to KARA because your music is nice, not because some… idiot told them to,” she softly disagreed.

“You threatened to slice off peoples kneecaps if they didn’t listen to Rock U once a day,” Jiyoung reminded her of one of her most viral moments.

“I don’t remember… ever saying that, but… I didn’t do anything. Only smart… people listen to KARA.” Seungyeon was about to say something, but she continued, suddenly being filled with passion. “Rock U is a good song! Shouldn’t people appreciate it? I think they should!” She had started to whisper-shout her love for KARA. “It’s the least they could do considering the effort sunbaenim put into your albums. So, like… don’t make me responsible for your success or whatever.”

The two KARA members failed to stop themselves from smiling at Eve’s words – and cuteness. “Thank you for saying that,” Seungyeon said as she bowed to Eve, who followed suit, still gripping onto the door handle.

“Let’s take a selca!” Jiyoung cheered.

Eve smiled shily. “Can we take it here?” She pointed at the ground with her feet. “If I let go of this handle, I’m going to faint.”

“Okay!”

The two older women stepped closer to Eve as Jiyoung pulled out her phone. She took a few selfies, with them standing on either side of Eve. When they were done, Jiyoung airdropped the photos to Eve’s phone. Waving as the women walked away, Eve tried not to scream, cry or throw up from excitement.

She can’t quite remember how she made it to the car, or the drive home, or if she did her nighttime skincare routine after she ate dinner. She does, however, remember putting the Move Again album on her vanity and watching old KARA variety shows on her laptop before she fell asleep.

Areum X ITZY

YEJI

Yeji finds Areum to be her confidant, having faced many issues with confidence and wondering if she was a good leader Yeji often finds herself leaning on her for support. When she’s overwhelmed Areum will step in to lead the group as the oldest and she prides herself on having Yeji as the leader of ITZY. Yeji often looks towards the older as a child would look to their mother and she is always ready to accept any and all praise from Areum at any moment

RYUJIN

The two of them often clashed as trianee’s, and since the timing of the girls being on MIXNINE and Begin Again overlapped the two didn’t get close until the older returned to Korea and they began practicing together. Ryujin reminds her that even though she’s the oldest, she doesn’t always have to look after everyone and everything, they’re a team. Ryujin and Areum aren’t viewed even now as close but MIDZY can see all the small ways they care for each other and they love their bond

CHAERYONG

Chaeryong is her favourite and everyone and their mother knows it. Chaer was the person who got closest to Areum first, having an older sister already she felt safe and protected by Areum as soon as they met. They would often send updates to one another when they were seperate and Areum and Chaer are often seen together, Areum loves to baby her and Chaer loves the fact that even though they had to grow up fairly fast she was still able to be a kid because of her

LIA

Lia and Areum are quite a troublesome duo, when they’re together they activate a very childlike persona and often leaves the staff and members watching them with stress and enjoyment. Lia is the clingiest to Areum and can be heard calling for her often. Lia also doesn’t understand how she is friends with almost every idol they run into, whether they be in the 4th gen or the 2nd

YUNA

Areum activates the embarrassing older sister when it comes to Yuna and she does it solely to get a reaction. The two have a very Tom and Jerry relationship but are undeniably the closest out of the entire group. Yuna mentions often about how Areum would always go out of her way to look after her and make sure she was doing well in school - she said that her family is very happy that she is lucky enough to have someone who cares for her as much as her parents do.

Gunil

Gunil was an MC for a program with Lilly from Nmixx. Everything about their interactions were normal. Gunil had made a mistake while reading the script which caused Lilly to laugh. It was a normal reaction. Gunil's mistake was funny, you were laughing at it yourself. That was until you read the comments and they talked about how cute Gunil looked with Lilly, saying that they matched one another well. That’s when a wave of jealousy hit you.

Gunil returned home later that day and could sense that something was off with you.

“Something the matter with you?” Gunil questions, both of you are sitting on the couch.

“It’s nothing,” you shake your head with a breathy laugh.

“No, something’s bothering you, tell me,” he persists.

“Comments were saying you and Lilly match each other well. It made me feel a bit…jealous I guess. It’s stupid,” you explained. Gunil chuckles letting out a “cute” under his breath. He pulls you into a hug.

“That’s cause they don’t know I already have the perfect match for me,” Gunil states. That’s all you needed to hear for your jealousy to go away.

Jungsu

Jungsu was appearing as a guest on a variety show. Yeji was also appearing on the show too. You hate to admit it, but when the host of the show commented on how good of a pair the two of them were, a tinge of jealousy struck your heart. It only got worse when the other guest on the show agreed. Rationally you knew that there was no harm in the comment, yet it still bothered you.

You and Jungsu were hanging out in your room. You scrolled on your phone only to come across the clip of the show Jungsu and Yeji appeared on. It was the clip saying how good of a pair the two made. Again the feeling of jealousy hit you. A pout formed on your lips. Jungsu saw this and took a look at your phone screen to see the clip. He didn’t like when the host said it either.

“We’re a much better pair you know,” Jungsu stated. The jealousy you were feeling was replaced with embarrassment.

“I’m sorry, I’m just being silly,” you apologized.

“No, I didn’t like it either honestly. Neither did Yeji, it made us uncomfortable,” Jungsu explained. Jungsu then moves to cuddle with you, taking your phone from your hand.

Gaon/Jiseok

Nmixx were being supportive juniors and attended a concert that Xdinary Heroes were having. After the concert both groups had a friendly conversation. Some fans caught them interacting together and filmed it. Comments on the videos were mainly happy about seeing the two groups interact, but there were also some fans shipping the members together. You know it was just fans being fans, but reading the comments shipping together Jiseok and Haewon worked up quite the jealousy in you.

The next time you saw Jiseok you were being extra clingy.

“Not that I don’t enjoy your hugs, but you aren’t usually like this,” Jiseok piped up.

“Maybe I should be,” you mumbled, tightening your hold around Jiseok. He laughs.

“Seriously, what’s up with you?” He asks you, pulling away from your hold.

“I saw comments shipping you and Haewon,” you revealed.

“Ah so you’re jealous,” Jiseok said playfully.

“Be quiet,” you scolded him, which only resulted in his laughing again. This time he wraps you in a hug.

“I only want you, my little jealous bean,” he reassured and teased you. You lightly shove him away, but he pulled you back to him. He still playfully teases you for the next few days.

O.de/Seungmin

Seungmin and Ryujin did the dance challenge for Itzy’s new comeback. Fans were excited to see the two of them interacting. You thought that it was nice to see them interacting too. However there was this one little part of you that was consumed with jealousy. At the end of the dance challenge Ryujin playfully slung one of her arms around Seungmin’s shoulders. The simple action ignited a green spark in you.

Later Seungmin caught you watching the short video. He noticed the slight envy lurking in your eyes.

“Don’t tell me you’re jealous because Ryujin threw her arm over my shoulder,” Seungmin says in disbelief.

“Yes, I’m jealous,” you stated.

“Come on babe it was-” Seungmin began to talk.

“Why can’t that be me?” You cut him off.

“Huh?” Seungmin asks, confused.

“Why can’t Ryujin throw her arm over my shoulder? Do you know how lucky you are?” you complained.

“You’re jealous because you want to be me?” Seungmin questions in shock.

“Yes. Ryujin is so girl crush. How could I not?” You answered him.

“I’m never letting you meet her. I’m scared she might steal you from me,” Seungmin declares.

Junhan/Hyeongjun

You were meeting Hyeongjun outside of the jyp entertainment building, so you two could grab dinner together on the way back. You saw Hyeongjun through the glass beginning to exit the building. He was talking with Sullyoon. You felt pathetic for it, but a wave of jealousy washed over you at the sight of them two walking side by side and laughing over something. They both parted ways as soon as they stepped out of the building. Hyeongjun’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw you, which made you feel even more pathetic.

“Hey,” Hyeongjun greets you warmly.

“Hey,” you greeted him back with a smile, trying to hide the jealousy you just felt. Alas, Hyeongjun knew you too well.

“Did something happen? Did you have a bad day?” Hyeongjun questions you with concern.

“No, it’s nothing,” you tried to convince, but Hyeongjun didn’t buy it. “Fine I saw you laughing with Sullyoon and it made me jealous, but I know it’s ridiculous, so let’s just go,” you quickly spoke. Hyeongjun smiles and wraps one arm around you, pulling you to his side.

“Sullyoon is just a junior you know that. You’re the one I love y/n,” he knocks his head against yours.

Jooyeon

Jooyeon got selected to appear on a t.v. program alongside with Nmixx member Bae and a few other fellow idols. You were excited to watch the show and support Jooyeon. What you didn’t expect was to end up watching the show with the company of a green monster. Jooyeon and Bae had been paired up to do a mission together. Throughout their mission the others made comments about how good of a match that they were. That was the cause of your envy.

“Did you watch the show?” Jooyeon asked you excitedly as soon as he arrived at your place.

“Yeah I did. You were great,” you complimented him, trying to just brush off the jealousy you felt.

“Thanks. The shoot was tiring, but fun. Bae was a good mission partner too,” Jooyeon told. He just had to say the last sentence didn’t he? Your face must have made a look because Jooyeon pointed it out.

“What’s with that face? Wait, are you jealous?” He shouts.

“Stop,” You warn him.

“Oh you so are!” He teases you. “My baby is jealous,” he states, hugging you, rocking side to side.

“They said you were a good match for each other,” you pouted. Jooyeon cups your cheeks.

“Nonsense, you’re the best match for me,” he pecks your nose.
