Whumpcember Day 27 - Bleeding Out (Alt 1. Stabbed)
Trilby stared at the stump that was flashing in and out of the hell dimension. Finally, he found the source of the reality shift. If only he could find some way to stop it.
"Trilby!" A familiar voice rang out behind him. He whirled around to see a familiar red-headed girl.
"Siobhan? You were supposed to leave!"
"I couldn't, I just..." She hiccuped. "Abed... The professor... He's dead..."
"I know." His mind flashed back to the professor slumped over at the bar, a mannequin head replacing the one he lost. "He was killed by the shadows. Just like they will kill you if you don't get away from here."
"What is this place?" Siobhan asked.
Trilby looked to the stump. "This cave is the center of the reality shift. This stump is what's causing it all."
"How?"
"It is the vessel for the soul of the Tall Man."
They all looked to see who spoke. It was a familiar man wearing a grey anorak, looking at them with a strange expression. "The acolyte of Chzo."
"Lenkmann." Trilby said blankly. "Nice to see a friendly face."
"Amazing, isn't it? Of all the things Sir Roderick could have used to murder his son, he chose that idol . Placing the soul of John Defoe into the wood alongside Cabadath's. Infusing the poor boy with Chzo's magick, allowing him to come back infinitely more powerful than before."
Trilby narrowed his eyes. "Certainly pretty lucky."
"Lucky? Chzo had to wait two thousand years for that opportunity. The opportunity to blend magick and science in a single entity. The opportunity to create the Bridge."
"What are you talking about?"
Lenkmann strolled over to the other side of the cave, a small smile floating up on his face. "The Bridge between the realms. Over which Chzo will cross into our universe and purify mankind. Our order has waited two hundred years for the prophecy to be fulfilled."
Trilby was beginning to understand now. His weird behavior when he met Lenkmann at the hotel, the notes... "You're not with the Ministry of Occultism. Who are you?"
"Two hundred years ago, the prophet Jack Frehorn founded the Order of Blessed Agonies. Since then, we have grown and watched and waited. It was only in recent years that the events foretold in the Book of Chzo began to occur. It mentioned John Defoe. And it mentioned you."
"Me?!" Trilby asked in shock.
Siobhan was only looking at the unfolding events with growing confusion.
Lenkmann stepped forward. "You were the one prophesied to guide the Bridgekeeper to his destiny. But you didn't finish the job! All three aspects of John Defoe had to be destroyed in order to create the Bridge. Body, Mind and Soul. You only destroyed his body. His soul and mind remained."
The house... Jim and Simone...
"Had I known about this... I wouldn't even have done that."
"That will truly disappoint my superiors. They were quite adamant that I should try to persuade you to join our cause and fulfill your foretold duty..."
"Is that why you were helping me?"
"They thought if I guided you through your visions and showed you the appropriate passages from our holy books, you'd understand that the prophecy is real."
Trilby gave him a bewildered look. "You honestly believed I'd join some insane cult just because you handed me some leaflets?!"
Lenkmann put his hand on the older man's shoulder. "Personally? No."
He felt an explosion of ice cold agony. Looking down, he could see Lenkmann had plunged a knife into his gut. He heard the pitter-patter of his blood on the rocky floor. The pain, the surprise, and his exhaustion went together to create immediate unconsciousness. He could only hear Siobhan's screams as he blacked out.
He awoke to find himself splayed upon the stump, blood still slowly leaking from his wound. In his injured state, he couldn't move. His limbs refused to respond. He was as weak as a newborn. "L-Lenk... mann?"
"Oh good, you're awake. I was afraid you'd miss this." He had just finished tying up Siobhan who was struggling against her binds.
"What... are you doing?"
Lenkmann stood over him. "After your staggering ineptitude in Defoe Manor, the Order needed to nudge things along. We need a connection to Chzo to help administrate his coming. And today might be the only opportunity we have all year to summon the Tall Man."
"You're going to... bring that... THING... into our world?"
"With a standard ritual of Blessed Agonies and an offering. After he takes your life, he will be grateful to us. And then, he will guide us to our destiny."
"So why did you... stab me?! What if I'm already dead... by the time he gets here?"
"You won't be. Men like you, Trilby, die on their own terms. They won't let their lives slip away from one measly knife wound." He put a finger to his lips. "Hush now. Cabadath is coming."
Trilby's attempts to move only made things worse. He felt a stab of pain and something snapped behind his eyes, filling his vision with spots. This nutcase is going to sacrifice him to bring a tall demon from Hell over to the mortal world. All because they wanted a connection to Chzo.
"S-Siobhan... Are you there?" He tried to call out, ignoring the taste of metal on his tongue.
"She's here, but she can't answer you." Lenkmann simply answered.
"She has nothing to do with this, Lenkmann! Let her go!"
"On the contrary, it is important that all three of us be here. It is part of the ritual."
"What does this ritual entail? What are you going to do to me?"
"To you, I have done all I need. To bring Cabadath to us, we must tempt him with three Blessed Agonies. The Blessed Agonies of the Mind, the Body and Soul. I am well conditioned to act as the Mind. Your wound makes you the Body. The girl will have to suffice as the Soul."
Trilby could feel a sense of anger come over him. Siobhan doesn't deserve to be in this hellish position, to be sacrificed to some freak of nature. He wanted to move, but his limbs were still and unresponsive. He was losing blood steadily.
He could hear Lenkmann start to chant. "I call thee, Cabadath, to the wood that is your soul. I call thee from the north."
From the corner of his vision, he spotted the familiar idol of John Defoe by his feet, staring at him as if to mock him. I see. He had it all along...
"I call thee from the east."
The pain was replaced with an ice cold numbness that was spreading fast. The room was swimming before Trilby's eyes.
"I call thee from the south."
It was getting harder and harder for him to breathe. Air rattled him and out of his lungs like a buzzsaw.
"I call thee from the west."
Something flashed and he saw the Tall Man for a moment, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
"Reality flits from realm to realm, tormented, confused. End this madness that we might bring thee to us."
His vision was clouding up around the edges. It seemed like his stubborn will was the only thing keeping him alive.
"End it, Cabadath!"
His eyelids were fluttering.
"I present thee with three Blessed Agonies. Body, Mind and Soul."
it hurts
"I present thee with the Guide, failed in his duties, for thee to judge."
it hurts
"Come."
it hurts
"Come."
it hurts
He allowed himself to fall into darkness, slowly detaching himself from his body.
----
Siobhan could only watch as a tall, humanoid figure with no face wearing a long, black coat appeared in the room. Lenkmann was looking at it, appearing to have been satisfied. Stepping closer to the fallen body of her comrade, it examined him. Turning its head to Lenkmann, it spoke in an indecipherable language. He froze.
"What? He's dead? No, that's not possible!"
It continued to stare at him, its face unreadable.
"Master?"
It raised its claws.
"Master, please no! NO! NOAAAAAAGGH!!"
It plunged its claws into his chest, blood spilling out.In a flash, they disappeared.
Siobhan sat in shock. What the hell just happened? She saw Trilby lying on the stump and her mind snapped back to reality. She wriggled herself out of the shoddy rope Lenkmann tied her with and crawled over to him. "Trilby...?" She shook him.
He was unresponsive. His eyes were closed like he had fallen into a deep sleep. His stomach had a deep wound that was leaking blood at an alarming rate. Feeling herself start to shake, she pressed her fingers to his neck. She couldn't feel the beating of his pulse.
"Oh... Oh god... Oh no no no no..." Taking off his tie, she tied it around his waist, hoping that it was enough to staunch the flow. Then, she put her hands on his chest and started pumping. I think this is how you do it. God, Abed, if you were there, you would calm me down.
His body shook like a rag doll underneath her. She didn't understand. One minute, he was awake and talking and the next, he's dying. She felt useless. She wanted to help him, but he only responded by kicking her in the face. She was angry at him for doing that, but if he starts breathing again, she'll forgive him.
As she continued, she started to lose hope. How much blood did he lose? How long was he not breathing for? Will he ever wake up? "Trilby... Please... Please wake up..."
As if he could hear her, Trilby took a shaky breath.
"Trilby?!" She tapped his cheek, trying to get a response out of him. His eyelids fluttered, he coughed... and his eyes opened.
"Trilby! Say something!"
"W-What...?"
"You're alive! Oh god, I didn't even know if I was doing it properly... But I did it! You're alive!"
Trilby weakly looked around. "W-Where's Lenkmann...?"
Her face turned pale. "That... tall man took him. he did something... horrible to him. And then, he took him away."
"Where's... Where's my waistcoat?" Trilby tried to sit up, but Siobhan held him back.
"Shh, don't talk. I'm gonna get you an ambulance. Let's get you back upstairs."
"Wait..." He pointed a shaky finger to the idol. "See that wooden idol?"
"Yes?"
"Bring it with us. Wrap it tightly in clothes and bring it with us. Don't let it touch your bare skin."
"O-Okay."

Jack: Are you sure I'm adopted. Like I know who my parents are, but how does the process work? Because I do see similarities with my mother Kelly, but you two weren't involved?
Sam: Uh, you are adopted, and I am not giving you the sex talk right now, Cas did help your mother during her pregnancy but was not there to...produce you.
Jack: Hmm, but I look a lot, and I mean a lot like you and Cas.
Sam: What? No. Maybe Cas-
Jack: Sam, I have your eyes, not the color, but the shape as well as your lips well actually I'd say that was a mix of both of you. I got Cas' eyes color-wise and nose-
Sam: Is this why you've been studying our photos?
Jack:
Jack: As I was saying, I think I got more of your face shape, it's odd that I look very similar to Cas when I seemed to have inherited more prominent traits from you. Maybe it's the cheekbones. And hair.
Sam: Technically, you didn't inherit any of them from either of us.
Jack: Hmm. I'm not convinced.

I once had a dream where Dean, Cas, Jack and Sam went to an alternative reality where they end up in front of a house outside the city, bunch of trees, pretty garden and they are greeted by a 3 years old who literally climbed Cas and hugged him while calling him dad.  Quickly, another Sam comes running and takes the kid immediatly and telling “Jack” to go inside the house. This Sam while the same age our Sam, has Season1 hairstyle and for some reason looks a tiny bit younger, maybe because of his clothes which are brighter and not neccesarily plaid.
Our Sam tries to explain to the other one that they are from an alternative reality, AU!Sam asking who the hell were (while pointing with his gun) Dean and Jack but when he took a good look to the nephilim he looks so surprised, then lowers his gun. At the end, he lets our Team Free Will 2.0 inside the house. The kid rushing back to their uncle and immediatly taking AlCal!Jack with them to play. Sam explains AU!Sam, since they didn’t explain anything at the end, that the man besides him is his brother Dean, while the older Jack is Lucifer’s kid.
AU!Sam can’t fricking believe this and he is all like “Man, but he is Cas’s copypaste, are you SURE Lucifer is his dad?” while keeping a sarcastic laugh. Cas is mesmerized by kid Jack because it’s... it’s what Jack was supposed to be. So Dean gets all irritated by the Sassy AU!Sam commentary and asks “Alright if Cas’s is this kid’s dad then who the hell is the mom? Shouldn’t it be Kelly Kline?” And AU!Sam crosses his arms, as if Dean said something so offensive “No, my sister gave birth to him, Deanna” Obviously, Sam and Cas are speechless while Dean is still in Shock. Cas tries to ask about Jack but AU!Sam immediatly explains to him that Jack is completely human, because after Amara and Chuck reconciliated, AU!Cas had lost his grace thanks to Lucifer’s possession. So no nephilim like in the Main Universe.  Later, AU!Cas and Deanna came back from grocery shopping, obviously AU!Sam explaining the situation to them, the situation being less agitated thanks to Deanna checking out her male counterpart, “Still sexy, even as a dude”. Each one takes a moment to take to their AU counterparts.
AU!Cas talks about the hardships of their relationship with Deanna, Cas is surprised that they took almost 10 years to finally talk about their feelings, so even if they had different vessels their relationship was almost the same, almost... AU!Cas gives him some encouragement, but what matters is that he has Jack and how much it means to him that even in a reality where Jack isn’t his biological son, they still chose Cas
Sam asks AU!Sam why was he living with his sister if they had already a family and everything was fine, AU!Sam explaining that he couldn’t leave at first, afraid that when Jack was 6th months old something horrible would have happened, he got too attached to being an uncle and babysitter so he stayed, still dating Eileen but each one giving the other space, he knows the huntress has trust issues and he’ll be patient until they are both ready to take a bigger step.
In Dean’s case, his talk with Deanna is bitter. Amara’s gift wasn’t having Mary back, “Do you think after many deaths and coming back to life the fabric is still working normally?”, she finally cut herself some slack, she knows she can aid hunters from the Bunker, which is a few kilometers from the house. But also, she confronts Dean. She knows the way he moves, the way he interacts with “his” Jack. She puts no filter into it “You became the only monster we trully fear...”
Jack is doing fine, playing with AU!Jack feels nice. They talk about the things they like, about their moms, nothing very complex for both of them. They notice all the toys, drawings and even some pictures they AU!Family has, it’s lovely, it’s hopefull. They get distracted tho, when AU!Jack grabs them from their sleeve and tells them “Shhh, secret” and shows them how he is levitating a crayon

It took you three days to work up the energy to get out of bed. Then another three days to  really process  all had happened to you, and why. It’s one thing to know that monsters like Crowley exist, but it’s another to have it staring you dead in the face. Then, when you lose something as precious as a child, it makes it all that much harder.
Dean was in no better shape than yourself, and barely left you alone at all. He wouldn’t even let you shower by yourself.
You had noticed that his scent was getting stronger and stronger by the day, and you were pretty sure that the stress of losing his pup, as well as his Omega being kidnapped, had triggered his rut and any day now you expected it to be a full blown thing.
This morning, for the first time in over a week, Dean seemed to be sleeping in, which was another sign of his body preparing itself to go through a rut. This would be the first since you two were mated, and you were nervous to say the least.
You had decided to slip out of bed, make some coffee, and do a little research as to what to expect. Sure, you knew every rut was different. Dean was an older Alpha, and this was far from his first rut, so there was that. It would be much worse if you were both stumbling through this blind.
You had just sat down with your laptop and logged into it, when Cas appeared in the doorway. You tried to smile at him, but honestly it just wasn’t in you. He was the only person your Alpha seemed to trust you being around at the moment. Probably because Cas seemed pretty much unaffected by the biology of his vessel.
“Morning Cas, give me just a few minutes, and I’ll get a start on breakfast,” you mumble to him, taking a sip of your coffee before focusing back on the laptop that was in front of you.
“Don’t worry about that, I’m not hungry. It’s not like I eat all that much,” he said, taking a seat across from you.
“Oh, right, I forget about that.”
Getting used to everyone’s eating habits had been one of the things that had been the hardest about learning to be Dean’s mate. Sam only likes healthy, “rabbit food”, as Dean called it. Dean is usually perfectly fine with anything that’s guaranteed to give him a heart attack before age 50, or is smothered in bacon and of course pie. Jack ate much like Dean, but also a bit like a child. Which you guessed in a lot of ways he was.
Then there was Cas, who didn’t eat hardly at all.
“Where’s Jack?” you asked him as you typed away in Google in search of tips to help your Alpha through a rut.
“He’s sleeping. He doesn’t sleep often, but when he does, he tends to knock out for a while,” Cas said, folding his hands in front of him, staring ahead at the wall more than looking directly at you. “I guess it’s because he’s half human.”
You hummed in response, taking another sip of the steaming coffee in your cup.
“Dean’s finally asleep,” Cas observed, and you nodded, keeping your suspicions about an impending rut to yourself. You were sure Dean wouldn’t want such things discussed with another Alpha.
“Yeah, this is the first time in days, so I decided to let him sleep for a while before I started to get him breakfast.”
Cas’s eyes finally shifted to you. You could feel him watching you even though you kept your gaze on the computer.
“Have you had any luck finding Crowley?” you asked tentatively. You had tried to avoid asking details about the ongoing search, but you still wouldn’t rest easy until he was found.
“No, not yet, but I think I’m getting close. Don’t worry, Crowley has expensive taste, and as soon as he runs out of his favorite scotch, or gets bored again he will make an appearance.”
You nodded your head in silence. You were more than a little crestfallen that he was still on the loose. You knew that they were doing the best that they could. Dean had assured you that he would be found, and sent back to “sleep the big sleep.”
You knew that Sam had enlisted the help of Rowena, who was more than glad to help rat out her son since he was threatening her position as “Queen of Hell,” telling Sam it was a “dog eat dog world down there '' and Fergus was going to have to learn his place.” So that was promising.
“Actually, I’m glad I caught you in here alone, Y/N, there’s something I want to talk to you about,” Cas said, drawing your attention to his astonishing blue eyes for the first time as you shifted a little nervously in your seat.
“Okay.”
“I’m sure, by now, you can sense that Dean is in the beginning stages of his rut, and with that comes the high possibility of another pregnancy. I think it might not be a good idea to try and conceive again until we get this Crowley situation under control,” he said matter of factly, and you looked at him like he’d lost his mind.
“So, you're telling me that you don’t want me to help my Alpha through his rut? Cas we’re matted, and according to Crowley we’re soul mates. From what I’ve been able to find through different lore, if I reject him during his rut it will literally kill him.”
You could feel your blood pressure rising with each passing second. There was no way in hell you weren't going to help you Alpha through his rut because of the possibility that you could end up pregnant again.
“No, that’s not what I’m suggesting. You’re right, it would kill him. What I’m suggesting is that I temporarily take away your ability to conceive until we get Crowley sent back to where he belongs.”
You sat there dumbfounded for a moment, staring at Cas like he’d been speaking Greek.
“How, I mean, if you do that, how will I be able to help him… I don’t understand,” you stuttered, your mind unable to compute what it was Cas was saying what he would do to you.
“It won’t affect you at all. You want be able to tell the difference. I will literally just take away your eggs, and then Dean’s seed will have nothing to attach to for this cycle, so no pups, and it will take the target off of your back, and buy us some time to handle our current situation. As soon as we find him, and handle everything, I will make everything go back to normal, and the two of you can try again if you want.”
Cas fell silent as you got up, and walked over to the sink to place your coffee cup in  almost a robotic state. Your mind was reeling. You knew he was right. If you got pregnant again, then Crowley would come after you again, but you also knew your Alpha was not going to approve of this.
Being on the edge of a rut made him touchy and antsy as it was. You didn’t know how to  break the news about this plan to him if you even agreed to it.
“Cas,” you take a deep breath and try to get your thoughts in order. “I know what your telling me is true, and that we really don’t need me to get pregnant again right now, but how in the hell would we get Dean to agree to this?”
“How in the hell will we get me to agree to what,” Dean said. A light sheen of sweat was glistening over his skin, and you didn’t miss the fact that his breathing was a little heavier than normal as he stalked his way from the doorway to where you were standing next to the skin.
“Dean, you're almost in rut, and I was just telling Y/N, that for this cycle, maybe it would be a good idea to take away her fertility, in order to protect her from getting pregnant until we find Crowley.” Cas said calmly, but Dean did not remain so calm.
A deep growl ripped through his chest as he shoved you behind him protectly, baring his teeth at Cas as if he might rip his throat out if he got too close to you.
It was a completely primal act, and you knew he’d never have threatened Cas that way if he wasn’t on the cusp of his rut.  Cas seemed unfazed, and kept his stance as he stared at Dean.
“Dean, I’m not going to hurt her. The two of you won't  be able to tell anything was done. She will be able to help you through your rut just like she would have if I wouldn’t have stopped her from getting pregnant,” Cas said, but Dean didn’t back down.
“No, you're not touching my Omega.” Dean snarled.
Dean’s body was practically vibrating, and you knew if this was anyone but Cas suggesting this, they’d be dead by now.
“Dean,” you said, lightly putting your hand on his shoulder. Dean’s attention turned to you, and he wrapped his arms around you, hiding his face in your neck, still growling lightly. “Maybe we should do this, just until we catch Crowley. I can’t live through losing another pup because of him.”
Dean let out a high pitched whine, and nuzzled himself closer to you.  “Are you sure you want to do this Omega?” he asked you, and you swallowed hard around the lump of nothing in your throat.
“I do, Dean. I can still take care of you, but I can’t protect our pup, not with Crowley still out there.”
Dean took a deep breath, and leaned heavier into your hold as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Okay, okay. But when it’s over, you put her back the way she was,” he said towards Cas, but kept you close to him.
Cas stood up and slowly made his way over to you, placing his fingers to your forehead around Dean’s shoulder, and warmth spread through your whole body until he took his fingers away.
“Guys, we found him,” Sam said, coming to a halt in the doorway. “We found Crowley.”

An Angel’s Vow
Chapter Five (Read on ao3 | Read from the beginning)
Once the kitchen was clean, Claire put her other duffle bag on the table. She unzipped it. “It’s not much, but it works.”
Cas took everything out of the bag and examined it carefully. The bag contained: a machete, some silver bullets but no gun, a pouch of silver coins, an iron crowbar, a lock pick set, a coin Claire thinks is iron, a couple bottles of holy water, some spray paint, a half empty container of salt, a box of penguin band-aids, cleaning alcohol, and an angel sword. Cas frowned. “This is abysmal.”
Defensive, Claire crossed her arms. “The sword is basically a hunting equivalent to a Swiss army knife.”
“I don’t understand what military grade Swiss cutlery has to do with anything, but I do know hunting. You’re going to get yourself killed.”
“Oh, so here we go! Hit me with the speech.”
Cas turned around bewildered. “What are you talking about? There’s no speech.”
“So you’re not gonna tell me that I’m being stupid and I should go live a normal life?”
“I’m not going to yell at you or tell you what to do.” Cas tried to keep his voice even. “Am I happy that you’re hunting? No. Am I frustrated that you’re hunting by yourself? Absolutely. But it’s your life and I promised to keep you safe.”
Claire rolled her eyes with her whole body. She went over to the refrigerator and snagged a juice box out. With a loud pop, she stabbed the straw in.
Sighing, Cas put his hands on the table. He looked over Claire’s hunting supplies again. “I don’t think you understand.” His voice came out much softer than before.
The juice box was half way to Claire’s mouth when she froze.
“I know you’re not going to stop now that your mind is set. I want to help you be a better hunter.”
“What?”
Cas looked over his shoulder, and studied Claire. Obviously, she was grown by human standards, but he could still clearly see the small child he devastated…..is continuing to jeopardize. His chest started feeling unnaturally tight. For a moment he thought that he could still see the baby from the shreds of Jimmy’s memory that remains with him. “I’m willing to share my knowledge of the supernatural with you. Afterwards if you’re still willing to be a hunter at least you’ll be better informed about what you’re signing up for.”
“Are you serious?” Claire tilted her head, waiting for the other shoe to drop. “How are we supposed to hunt with the kid?”
“We’re not hunting. We’re studying.”
Claire’s whole body drooped. “Studying what? I can’t imagine where you have lore books stashed here. This house is pretty bare bones.”
“Lore books would be nice, but I have a library right up here.” He touched his temple with his index finger. “And besides we have a ton of ground to cover before thinking about hunts.”
“It’s not like I haven’t been on a couple hunts already.”
“Yeah, but do you have the exorcism chant memorized? Or recorded? Can you make hex bags? Draw various devil traps? Read any Latin or Enochian? Tracking spells? Draw angel banishing-”
“Okay!” Claire burst. She put the juice box down on the table. Her voice softened. “Okay, I get it.”
Cas nodded. “Would you be interested in learning any of that?”
“You’re seriously willing to teach me any of that?”
“Of course. I want you to be safe, and I want you to be happy.”
The next thing Cas knew, he was trapped in a bone crushing hug.
“Thank you,” Claire mumbled into his chest. She let go just as fast and sat in the chair she used earlier during lunch.
Cas pushed the juice box into her reach. She took it and started drinking. He smiled, feeling the tension loosen in his shoulders.
“So….” Claire spoke with the straw still in the corner of her mouth. “When does hunter school start, professor angel?”
“We could probably start tomorrow. Does that mean you’re planning on staying for a while?”
Sitting up straight, Claire’s expression morphed from jovial to serious. “Is that okay? Is it even safe with…”
They both glanced towards the living room for a moment. Cas crossed his arms. “Of course it’s okay. You’re free to come and go as much as you please.” He sighed, uncharacteristically running a hand through his hair. “But your second question...I honestly don’t know. And that frightens me.”
Cas pulled the chair closest to him and sat down. “You’re not safe if you leave now.” He gestured at her hunting supplies on the table. “I know Heaven is after Jack. I’ve been careful to keep us hidden, but it’s not without flaws. Jack’s birth should have attracted a ton of attention. I’m shocked we haven’t been discovered yet.”
“You’ve been doing good so far. Maybe they won’t find you,” Claire said, leaning her elbows on the table. She rested the side of her face in the palm of her hand.
“They will at some point….I just wish I knew what’s taking them so long. I feel like I’m missing something.”
“Is there any kind of warding we could put up? Spells?”
Cas smiled softly. “Angel warding would be useless in this situation. Yes, it would keep Heaven away from this house, but it would also keep me and Jack out.”
“So what have you done?”
“After Jack was born….the moment we could flee, I etched Enochian sigils into his ribs to hide him from every angel.” Cas subconsciously rubbed a hand over the tattoo on his side. “My body is hidden from angels in a similar way.”
Stunned, Claire stared at Cas in silent horror.
“Actually that reminds me-” Cas turned his whole body towards in Claire’s direction. “I wanted to give you those sigils as well for protection.”
Claire slowly leaned away in her chair. “Why….would I need protection from angels?”
Cas’ eyebrows furrowed. “There’s always a chance you might stumble into an angel related case, but most importantly you should be hidden from them in case anyone remembers your ties to me. You’re important.”
“Because I can function as your vessel?”
“That does put you in a lot of danger.”
Her whole body drooped as she sighed. “Great.”
“At this point I doubt that there are any angels that remember which bloodline begets my vessels, but I’d rather err on the side of caution.”
“Does it hurt?”
“No. You’ll never notice it.”
She nodded slowly. “Okay.”
Cas got up and positioned himself to stand directly behind her. Claire closed her eyes. He placed his hands on the top of both of her shoulders for a few seconds, and then he went back to his chair.
Claire opened her eyes. “You didn’t do anything?”
“I did and it’s done.”
She burst out of her chair, running her hands down her arms and looking over her body. “Everything looks the same.”
Cas smiled fondly. “Your ribs. You won’t be able to see anything without an x-ray.”
Her eyes snapped back up at him, wide with curiosity. “That was so cool! I can’t feel a difference.” She sat back down again. “What does the warding look like?”
“Oh.” Cas sat up straighter and glanced around the room. “I can draw them out for you, but…” He frowned. “We’re going to need to buy some pens and paper.”
That pulled a laugh out of Claire. “Figures. We need to go school supply shopping.”
Confused, Cas turned his head to the side just a bit. Then it clicked. “Yeah. We’ll need to go supply shopping.”
“So the warding will be enough to keep us hidden while we’re shopping?”
Cas sat back in the chair. “Technically, yes. The reason why it isn’t perfect is how angels communicate.” He touched the side of his forehead for a moment. “Dean calls it Angel Radio. I can turn it off when I want to, but in general angels can contact and find each other through our minds.”
Claire stared at him for several silent moments while his words processed, and then the gears turned. She glanced towards the living room.
“I don’t know if he’s connected,” Cas said simply. “And I don’t want to reach out to him that way until he’s older….and understands.”
“Huh.” Crossing her arms, Claire turned back towards Cas. “He’s really got us in a pickle.”
The puzzled look on Cas’ face was evident, but he chose to nod instead. Claire cracked a smile. “Hopefully Heaven is too scared of the idea of Jack that they’ll keep their distance.”
“Hopefully.”
After a quiet pause. “Sooo...does this place have decent WiFi?”
“I believe so. Kelly was frequently on her laptop.”
“Excellent.” Claire’s smile widened. “You wanna watch a movie?”
Cas’ expression softened. “I’d like that greatly.”
“Be right back then,” Claire said hopping up and leaving the room. On her way through the house she glanced at Jack sound asleep in his play pen. He was on his back, and the foot of a stuffed lion toy was clenched in his tiny fist. Amused, Claire shook her head and continued upstairs to her other duffle bag.
It was only a minute or two later when she descended down the stairs with her laptop charger clunking into each step. “Is there anything in particular that-”
Her voice cut off seeing the pained look on Cas’ face. He was seated on the living room couch, but he looked miles away. “Cas?”
Startled, his whole body uncharacteristically flinched. His blue eyes looked dull and sad. “Sorry. I didn’t hear you coming.”
Claire slowly walked over to the couch and put the laptop down at the opposite end. “Are you okay? You look sick.” She kicked the charger cord to the side and sat down on the middle cushion.
“I’m fine.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Wanna try that again?”
The corner of his mouth twitched. “I told you in the past that angels can pick up on more than just verbal prayers. Longing. Strong feelings of intent. They’re like…..indirect prayers.”
“Yeah. So who’s praying? Dean?”
Cas sighed. “He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it, but I can feel that he’s perturbed.”
“Well yeah.” Claire pulled her legs up, crossing them. She then turned her whole body in Cas’ direction. “Jody told me Sam is like ready to tie him down so he’ll stop clawing at the walls. He’s trying to find you.”
Mildly irritated, Cas shook his head. “He’s yet to actually pray to me so I can’t imagine he wants to speak to me that badly.”
“That’s fair. One point to Castiel.”
Cas raised an eyebrow at that.
“So why are we letting Dean sweat? What did he do?” Claire grinned. “Depending on what he did, I bet we can get Jody to boot his car.”
“I’m afraid to ask what that means, but I have no doubt that Dean would never speak to me again if we did such a thing to ‘his baby’.”
Claire shook her head. “Never mind that then.”
Cas took a deep breath. His gaze slid over to Jack’s sleeping form. “Dean and I didn’t part on good terms. I spent much of the past year tracking Jack’s mother. She wasn’t easy to find.” Cas’ head turned and he met Claire’s eye. He frowned. “And my original mission was to terminate the pregnancy.”
A sudden chill crept up Claire’s spine. “Oh.”
“Dean understood the complexities of my mission. I didn’t want to hurt Kelly, but….a child like Jack is…..he could cause a lot of harm.”
Arching her neck up, Claire tried to get a better glimpse of the baby. He seemed to be sleeping with his face squished into the playpen floor. “I get the idea,” she said quietly. “Archangel power. Prince of Darkness. But…” Claire pointed her thumb in Jack’s direction. “I don’t think he fits the bill.”
“When I did find Kelly,” Cas continued. “And I rescued her from Dagon, one of the Princes of Hell…..Jack called out to me. He showed me a peaceful world. A vision of the good he’ll be able to do.”
“And that’s why you’ve gone all dad mode.” Claire crossed her arms.
“He asked.”
“And Dean?”
“To hunt Dagon I had to trick Dean and steal a special gun he prized.”
Grimacing, Claire quipped, “I bet that went over well.”
“At the time him and Sam were pitching ideas of removing Jack’s grace.”
“What would that even do to him?”
“Make him human I suppose…”
“But you don’t know.”
“No. Not for certain. And Kelly wanted her son to be whole.”
Claire nodded in agreement. “She’s right. Jack should be allowed to be his entire self. No hiding. No changing or compromising for others.”
Cas smiled softly, and then it fell while he stared at his hands in his lap. “I suspect now that Dean is mostly upset about the disappearance act, but...I’ve been keeping the distance so I don’t have to lose everyone. My siblings already dislike both Winchesters.”
A small laugh escaped Claire. “Figures.”
“And….I do actually quite like this house. It’s peaceful here. Unlike their bunker...which is filled with rooms of unknown and dangerous items.”
A glint of excitement shone in Claire’s eyes. “Are you sure? Sounds like a fun place to explore and grow up in.”
Cas shook his head. “Jack deserves sunshine and windows...and a life unmarked by hunting…..well for as long as I can give him.”
Claire nodded, and they both sat there in silence with their thoughts for a while. Eventually, Claire’s eyes moved back to Cas and the sorrow exuding from him. “If Dean left the bunker to help you with Jack out here….would you want that?”
Cas was silent for a long time. Claire couldn’t make heads or tails of his expression. Eventually he spoke in a hushed whisper. “I miss him.”
“You should ask him instead of making his decisions for him.”
Cas’ eyes darted back to her for a moment. He stared, and then he pointed at the laptop. “So what kind of movie were you thinking?”

Lately I can’t stop thinking about Adam, like I’m legit crushed over what this show did to him. I know Supernatural was never perfect but the way it treated this character was so damn vicious, condescending and nasty; no different than a high school bully picking on an injured elementary schooler.
He never stood a chance. The thing is I don’t know what it was that made me latch onto Adam so strongly for over a decade. Maybe I could just sympathize and easily relate to his situation of being discarded and forgotten by family members. Or maybe I saw potential in this character and couldn’t fathom why no one else on that writing staff and the SPN fandom couldn’t.
I want you to take a second and absorb these pertinent facts about Adam Milligan that this show put forward. This is not anti-anything this is all the truth so bare with me:
He was the illegitimate youngest child of hunter John Winchester; a man who treated his older sons Sam and Dean like soldiers on his platoon.
Adam only saw his bio dad ONCE A YEAR and it was only to take him to ball games not to train him so that he could protect himself and his mother from (supernatural) threats.
He never knew the existence of his older brothers nor did they know about him because John deliberately ripped those pages out of his journal. Essentially trying to erase any evidence of Adam and Kate.
Because Adam grew up having no clue what was out there or about the “family business”  he and his mother suffered VIOLENT PRE-MATURE DEATHS at the hands of ghouls which Adam STILL REMEMBERS long after being murdered.
Oh and John failed to kill those ghouls, providing them the golden opportunity of impersonating him and his mother so they could kill John and his half-brothers.
Adam was only an 18 year old pre-med studying medicine. Probably wanted to follow in his mother’s footsteps in helping people as she was a nurse.
Because Kate worked nights as a single mother, Adam had to grow up being his own parent at times; cooking his own meals and putting himself to bed.
Adam was ironically born on September 29th (1990) which is also known as Michaelmas aka the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. A potential storyline that could’ve gone somewhere but didn’t.
Adam is also by birthright a Men of Letters legacy though his brothers fail to mention that 10 years later.
The last thing Adam was doing while he was in Heaven, designed to look like his Prom, he was kissing a girl Kristen McGee; whom we’ll never know about or if he’ll ever see again.
Adam was ripped out of Heaven against his will by the angels to be used and manipulated as their backup device in the Apocalypse because Sam and Dean refused to comply with their demands.
After being resurrected, Adam was then recovered, kidnapped and held hostage by TFW (Sam, Dean, Bobby and Castiel) where they all took turns mouthing off at this angsty teenager about why he should trust a bunch of complete strangers over those who made him promises.
Adam only wanted to work with the angels in order to stop Lucifer and return to his mother. Highlighting that this character had a sense of justice, responsibility, cared about doing the right thing but also had his own reasons for wanting to save the world.
Sam tried to emotionally manipulate Adam with excuses for why their dad never told him about his family. And actually had the gall to say that him and Dean would’ve looked for him had they’d known he existed so they could be a family. Forgive me if I just laugh at this for a moment 🤣
Zachariah was able to get into Adam’s head because he knew how vulnerable he was. Telling him that trusting the Winchesters would only let him down which *SPOILER ALERT* turned out to be true.
Zachariah tortured Adam for hours before the Winchesters arrived to save him. And Dean was only willing to submit to the angel when Sam was just briefly tortured.
One of the last things Dean says to Adam in 5x18 after he was shocked to see his half-brothers come to his rescue was “Cause you’re family”. Again I have to...🤣🤣
At the moment of their escape, Dean doesn’t even help Adam (WHO’D BEEN INJURDED AND TORTURED) out of the room nor does he care about ushering him to safety. Dean just grabs Sam and hurries out the door. So much for being part of the family.
The last thing Adam screams before before being possessed by Michael was “Dean, help!” and then he hears Dean say “Just hold on!”
Adam, not being Michael’s true vessel yet born from the powerful Winchester bloodline, was able to look directly at the archangel’s true form without his eyes burning out. And this is NEVER explained why.
Dean mentions Adam only a total of THREE TIMES after this happens in 5x19, 5x22 and 6x11 while Castiel mentions it to Sam in 5x21. And Sam, WHO’D BEEN THE MAIN EMOTIONAL MANIPULATOR, just doesn’t give a shit to remember him.
Castiel threw a Molotov cocktail at Michael (who was using Adam’s body) to briefly cast him out which Adam probably felt in excruciating detail based on what Michael says in 15x08.
Sam, possessed by Lucifer, pushed himself and his innocent half-brother possessed by Michael into the cage for all eternity.
Castiel somehow managed to pull Sam out of the cage but decided to leave Adam behind.
After Dean bargains with Death to get Sam’s soul and Adam out of the cage. Only to get just Sam’s soul and leave Adam to his fate. The issue is never brought up again between the Winchesters.
Adam sits a prisoner in a cage with an archangel for 10 years our time but thousands of years Hell time.
Michael most likely protected Adam from some of the horrors in Hell which is why he was able to keep his sanity.
Sam and Dean went to Hell to talk to Lucifer in the cage but continue to ignore Adam’s existence and don’t bother releasing him yet they let Lucifer escape.
Dean also went back to Hell to retrieve Bobby’s soul so he could go to Heaven and again doesn’t even bother with Adam.
Season 10 for Supernatural’s 200th episode, Sam and Dean were reminded by SPN fans putting on a musical that Adam was still in the cage yet THEY NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
Mary Winchester STILL doesn’t know about Adam even though she was reunited with John during the 300th episode. He’s never mentioned during their big family get-together. I guess he never counted.
Adam and Michael are finally set free of Hell only because Chuck threw a giant hissy fit at the Winchesters and opened all the gateways.
The first thing Adam wanted to do as a free man in 15x08 was not seeking revenge on his brothers for abandoning him, but to eat some diner food, change his clothes and get a “little job”
After years of imprisonment, Adam actually befriended the Prince of Heaven aka the one friend he has/the only other person besides his mother who actually gave a damn about him.
TFW trapped, kidnapped and imprisoned Adam and Michael at the bunker in order to force them to help against Chuck.
And Adam, though still angry, hurt and worn out over the situation; chose to help his brothers when there was NOTHING in it for him and successfully convinced Michael to do the same.
Despite how his brothers treated him, Adam STILL believed in their best and vouched that they “always try to do the right thing”
Adam went to Hell a cranky, sassy, angsty, naïve teenager and returned a kinder, wiser, more patient, humble and rational-thinking man who still managed to smile and laugh after enduring centuries of pain.
Dean gives Adam his much due apology for not saving him but Sam doesn’t. In fact Sam doesn’t even bring him up the next time the Winchesters see each other.
Adam’s last words on this show are to Dean and they’re “Since when do we get what we deserve?” and “Good luck” 🤓
Chuck Thanos-snapped Adam’s soul out of existence OFF-SCREEN yet Michael somehow remained in his body.
Adam was 90% of Michael’s impulse control hence why he was so dark in his last appearance without Adam because that’s the only way I can cope with that disgusting character assassination in 15x19
Jack supposedly revived Adam along with everyone else after becoming the new God. BUT his current status now reads “Unknown” instead of “Alive” so what the fuck am I suppose to think now?!
Sam and Dean didn’t even think about checking in on Adam to make sure he was okay before they hit the road on their last solo bro-outing.
If Adam really is alive then he’s doomed to a miserable, lonely existence without his best friend (who’s now dead). Broke, homeless, jobless; his brothers STILL DON’T GIVE A RAT’S ASS after he’d helped them in good faith. He’s legally deceased thanks to the ghouls. And he gets to look forward to demon city the moment he dies cause guess where he’s ending up?
No one remembers him even after he’d returned in 15x08
The car and the dog are more important to the Winchesters than their innocent half-brother.
Okay I realize I just unloaded a whole mountain of salt but this is the full outline of Adam’s tragic story on Supernatural. These writers never cared about him and why? What did he do to deserve this gross treatment from the show’s protagonists or just in general? Why was he even introduced if this was going to be the outcome of it all? I don’t know what’s worse leaving him in Hell (cause at least he had Michael for company) or bringing him back and not knowing what became of him after. It’s insufferable 😣 I just want everyone to know that the showrunners and writers may not care about him BUT I DO.

Isn't Jack 18+? Atleast his body is,I think..
Hes literally 4 fucking years old. I don't care how old he "looks" physically,he has the mentality of a 3/4 year old?? The only reason he chose that older vessel was because his mother,Kelly, told him about how scary the real world was while she was still pregnant with him. Even if he wasn't some super powered nephil, its still weird and fucking wrong to just assume it's fine to make n/s//f/w content of a character who's obviously childlike?

     ◇─◇──◇────◇────◇────◇────◇────◇─────◇──◇─◇
After Dean and Sam settled their dispute on the side of the road and Ariel, awkwardly third-wheeling it, they pulled up to Jack's home.
"Jack Montgomery?" A masculine voice came from behind Jack.
Jack stood in his backyard with the hose in his hand, watering the plants. With his back turned, Jack looked lively, but once the trio saw his face, they knew he was feeling out of it.
There were two men and a small woman standing between them. She also seemed pretty spaced out. The rougarou faced away from them after the little acknowledgment.
"I'm Sam Winchester. This is my brother, Dean...and This is Ariel." Sam gestured between the three of them, and when he got to Ariel, he gave her a small pat on the head, which made her cringe.
This action didn't go overlooked by Dean, but he chose to ignore it because she wasn't anyone special, and he wasn't relationship material.
The angel just observed the two men with her hands resting at her sides. She already knew the end of this situation, but she still wanted the boys to choose for their own. Outcomes were already unraveling in her head, and she wasn't sure if she should even tell the boys about the plan. Her thoughts were interrupted by Sam's husky voice. She decided not to, it wasn't the right time.
"We need to talk." The tall hunter stated in a firm but compassionate voice.
Jack finally whirled around to face the hunter who was walking forward and leaving Ariel and Dean standing in the far background. He glanced over at two and then back to Sam. "About?"
Dean tuned out Jack and Sam's conversation and solely focused on Ariel, who was evading every kind of contact there was after their bathroom situation. Maybe he should distance himself also.
A loud 'ahem' pulled him back down to earth.
"You're probably feeling your bones move under your skin. And your appetite's reaching, you know, 'Hungry hungry hippo' levels. How am I doing so far?" Dean adjusted himself and stepped to his brother and the man. He had an unreadable expression, but the annoyance in his voice told them that he didn't want to leave Ariel's side.
Jack was taken aback by Dean's forwardness. How could these strangers know all this stuff happening to him, and what does it mean? "Who the hell are you guys?"
"We're people who know a little something about something." Dean replied blankly as he casually shoved his hands in his jean pockets.
Sam pursed his lips at his brother's vague answer. "We're people who can help. Please, Just hear us out?" He corrected.
Jack hesitated. "Okay..."
Ariel roamed the garden, the square heels of her boots digging into the wet grass as she inspected the hedge bushes. They were cut in a particular oblong shape with a pointed tip. Staring at the plants offered her no solace, her mind ran rampant with the many slurs Raphael used to break her.
Though she was tortured for only a day, it wasn't the pain that broke her spirit. It was the lack of free will and control over the several millenniums that made her break down. She never thought escape would even be possible with Raphael always looming and dragging his blade across her skin. The fear of dying had never been so prominent for her. She was lucky when another Angel disobeyed, and Raphael was distracted by Angel radio. When he turned his back, she drew a banishing symbol.
Having her grace sucked out of her, traumatized her in ways that some couldn't even imagine. They never did this to Lucifer; they just tossed him out of heaven and put him in a cage. It felt almost violating, regardless if it would replenish itself; It left a mental impression.
The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Instinctively, her eyes lit up. It was her only way of fending off whoever chose to sneak up on her. She promptly spun around and reached for the culprit's throat.
It was Dean.
"Woah, Woah. Okay!" The jaded hunter caught her hand and held it in his, tenderly. He subtly caressed her palm with his thumb and flashed her a wary smile. "C'mon, feathers. Time to go quickly." He wrapped his other hand around her wrist and pulled her toward the gate while frequently looking over his shoulder.
Sam hastily exited the garden and climbed into the running impala. "Feathers?" He laughed and put on his seat belt.
Ariel's voice cut over Sam's laughter. It was soft and enchanting. "It's not like I call you legs 'cause they're shaped funny? Don't call me feathers."
Sam started. "Legs actually sounds like an appropriate nickname-"
Dean immediately cut his brother off. "Alright, let's get some food and then stake out!" He clapped his hands together and turned up the music. "And they are not shaped funny." He added.
Sam just laughed over the music and carded his fingers through his chestnut hair.
. . .
The trio was seated at a table in Biggerson's. Ariel sat across from Dean, and Sam sat adjacent.
"So, That is coffee, and sometimes sugar helps make it less bitter." Sam reached for the can of sugar and slid it over to the angel.
Ariel grasped the sides of the mug and brought the cup to her lips. She never once tried any of the human inventions, she didn't need to, but to blend in, she had to. Her eyes widened as the bitter hot liquid touched the tip of her tongue. She coughed and quickly placed the china down and dumped a significant amount of sugar into the cup.
"Ariel-" Dean started with a chuckle as he watched her sweeten her coffee, but soon the sugar to coffee ratio would be too much, so he snatched the canister away and placed it on an empty table.
"What? It was gross." She cooed as she looked between Sam and Dean, who were just holding back their laughter. They shared similar expressions, one someone would make when looking at a toddler or small child. Is that how they saw her? She was billions upon billions of years older, how dare they.
Sam cleared his throat and leaned forward with his elbows perched on the table. "So, Ariel...Did you know?" The mood instantly plummeted by that question. Should she say all of heaven knew? That would only kill his spirit that every angel knew who Sam and Dean Winchester were.
"I did, I know a lot of things that happen or is going to happen. But different choices branch off, and that's when things get murky." Ariel replied shortly. She and Dean made eye contact once she revealed this information. She brought the mug to her lips, her gaze still on the older hunter.
"Wait, so you knew, but you didn't say anything to me?" Dean mumbled. His tone was accusatory as if Ariel was the offending one. "Why would you not tell me something like that? That comes before everything else."
" I am here to help lead you both to redemption. So, Don't you dare take that tone with me, because I saved your brother when I was the one who would be tasked with 'stopping' him." Ariel spit fired.
"Well, I had to find out from Constantine that my brother was ganking demons with a demon, which I actually thought was dead!" Dean countered. He narrowed his eyes at the offending angel, letting his anger take control of his mouth once again.
The enraged hunter leaned into the table and clenched his jaw. "And stop him? Not only did you forget to tell me he was hanging with Ruby and using his powers, but YOU; You were supposed to kill him?!" He tried to keep his voice down best he could, but the word kill grasped a waitress's attention.
"I'm sorry, did you miss the part where I risked my life for you and your stupid brother?! I fell for you, Dean, in so many ways you cannot even fathom, you incompetent human being." Ariel lamented. The sound of her voice breaking tore Sam out of deep thought.
"Well- No one asked you to, and I sure as hell didn't ask you to fall either. Y'know, I knew you were too good to be true. No one would just waltz into our lives, offering help just for the sake of doing good." Dean drawled with a stoic expression.
The lights in the restaurant began flickering, and her mug cracked down the middle.
Those words sent a pang through her vessel's heart.
"Ariel- you have to calm down!" Sam whisper shouted as he glanced around at everyone who just gawked at the ceiling in confusion.
Ariel fixed her doe-eyes on Sam, but his words did not compute. Tears began filling her eyes and falling in rivulets down her pink cheeks.
'Damnit,' Dean thought. 'She looked pretty when she cried.'
"Y'know, you are just like him. And when one of you end up dying, do not expect me to come running just because you prayed." She whispered before pushing herself up from the booth and making her way to the exit.
With each clack of Ariel's heels hitting the tiled floor, it sent a pang of regret through Dean's heart. When the door slammed close, Dean flinched.
Sam scoffed. "You're unbelievable. She risked her own life to help us, Dean." He scolded him. "What is wrong with you, Dean?" The tall hunter asked in a spiteful tone.
"Yeah, Well, No one asked her to." Dean ignored Sam's questions. Shortly after he had processed what he said, he regretted everything. He wanted to go after her, pull her into a hug, and possibly stay like that for a while. "It's getting late. I'm gonna hit the can, and then we can go."
"Whatever." Sam just scoffed at his asshole of a brother and got up from the table and left the restaurant.
This reaction prompted Dean to just hurry to the bathroom. Once inside, he checked to see if anyone might be using it, then he locked the door when he found no one. He hunkered over the ceramic sink. The troubled hunter let out a breath.
Dean just wanted control, but he lost that long ago when he was just a boy. He struggled to maintain his composure as he recollected how he treated Ariel when all she wanted to do was help him. He was just so angry, and he had no idea how to control it. And the longer he stood in front of the mirror, the more he wanted to thrust his head straight through the glass.
She not only told him hours before that someone she cared about did the same but that he reminded her of him. He could barely hold it together. Was it a good thing that he reminded her of that guy or a bad thing? And why him? What's so great about him?
A portion of him wanted to pray to the archangel, but the stubborn side took ahold of the wheel and told him not to and that what he said to her was reasonable. He tore himself away from his reflection and shuffled over to the door to unlock it.
. . .
Later that night, Dean and Sam tracked down Jack back to his house and found what was left of Travis. Jack attacked them, effectively knocking out both of them. Ariel nowhere to be seen.
Sam awoke from his comatose state with a faint gasp. It took him a moment to grasp his surroundings and remember where he was. He panicked once he realized his brother was nowhere to be found. He pushed himself to his feet and tried the door handle, but it was locked. "Dean?"
"Dean can't come to the phone right now." Jack muttered as he swayed back and forth.
That response enraged Sam. He just got his brother back, and he couldn't lose him now, not when there's so much more left to fight. Samuel slammed his hand against the door. "Jack! If you hurt him, I swear to God!" He bellowed as he banged his hand against the wood again.
Jack sniffled and swayed harder. "Calm down!" He looked over at Dean, who was knocked out and sprawled over the coffee table with a wound on to his head. "Your brother's alive." He added.
The rougarou's head whipped around at the closet door, "But not if you don't calm down!" He asserted.
This note made Sam relax, as long as Dean was alive- there was a chance he could wake up. Sam shut his eyes and pressed his forehead against the door, his breathing labored.
Sam pressed his hand against the door and let out a low exhaled. "Alright, Jack. Listen. Open the door. We can figure this out, okay?" He tried to reason.
Jack let out a hysterical laugh. "We'll have ourselves a little brainstorming session."
"Jack, please." Sam begged.
"I don't think so, after what you did." Jack uttered.
"What? What are you talking about?" Sam figured it would be a while until he was let out of the closet, so he began searching his pockets for anything to pick the lock.
"You send your friend here. He tried to burn my wife alive!" Jack's voice began breaking as his body slowly morphed.
Sam halted his search at that accusation. "What? Why?" He looked around the closet for anything pointy and found a metal hanger, grabbing it.
There was a long pause.
Jack tilted his head to the side. "He didn't say." He glanced over at Dean, who was still unconscious. "I guess psychopaths don't have to explain themselves." Jack sneered and crawled toward his limp body. All of a sudden, Dean's blood looked delightful.
Samuel kept his head to the door as he spoke."Listen to me. You gotta believe me. My brother and I, we never would have hurt her, okay?" He quickly unraveled the metal hanger and reformed it so he could pick the lock.
Jack stopped by Dean's face, and with a wavering hand, he dipped his fingers in the little pool of blood that formed by Dean's head. He tried fighting it, but there was no use. The monster raised his blood-soaked digits to his lips and licked his fingers dry. "Oh, God. I'm so hungry." He began rocking back and forth, contemplating.
"Jack, don't do this." The hunter knelt and attempted to pick the lock.
"I can't ever see my family again." Jack paused. "You two...your friend--you made me into this!" He roared.
"No one's making you kill us." Sam began working the lock, struggling to get the door open. He feels overall defeated and lowers his hand. He needed to stall. "Listen to me." The trapped hunter began to sympathize with closed eyes. "You got this dark pit inside. I know. Believe me, I know." Sam opened his eyes and began picking the lock again. "But that doesn't mean you have to fall into it. You don't have to be a monster."
Sam only heard a mocking laugh come from Jack before he began talking. "Have you seen me lately?"
The hazel-eyed hunter let out a low sigh as he gave it one last try. "It doesn't matter what you are." He took a long pause. "It only matters what you do. It's your choice." Sam felt like he would never get out in time, so he desperately prayed to Ariel. "Ariel, I don't know where you are or if you are even listening, but we need you..."
Jack stilled for a moment, his heart pounding in his chest. The pain of restraining himself began to wear him down. He groaned and opened his mouth wide and inched toward Dean. He restrained himself best he could, but now he was ravenous. Dean began stirring awake, moving only slightly. The rougarou's mouth only inches away from Dean's neck before a high pitched ringing overcame the silence, followed by the closet door slamming open behind Jack.
"Bad Jackie." Ariel quipped with her shoulders, rolled back as a blinding light filled the room, and her wings projected on the wall.
Sam came bursting in with the makeshift flamethrower at the ready, but his eyes landed on the Archangel. She came.
Jack stumbled back from Dean as he witnessed the angel asserting her dominance and vigor. She was intimidating, but that didn't dissuade Jack from getting up to fight. The monster pushed himself to his feet and lunged for the woman.
Ariel took a hefty step forward and connecting her right knee to the monster's jaw, sending him collapsing to the floor with a broken jaw. She beamed.
The loud commotion awoke Dean completely. He rolled off the table, his mouth and eyes wide with panic and confusion. Why would she come to save them after what he said? He wanted to question it so badly, but he just accepted it. Dean never looked away from her outstretched wings; they were so beautiful.
Sam watched with wide eyes and labored breathing. It was very intense for him, witnessing Ariel fight for the. Jack was no competition for her, even on a bad day, and it made Sam feel secure and safe.
"Godspeed." Ariel cooed. Her eyes lit up with grace, causing Jack's eyes and mouth filled with a white-hot light, and then soon, his whole body caught fire.
Dean looked to Ariel and then Sam, who sported a disappointed look as he watched the monster crumple to the ground. He swallowed hard. "Ariel, you came." Sam breathed.
"Well, you prayed." Ariel cooed softly and put out a hand for Dean to grab.
"Thanks ..." Sam smiled wanly.
"Let's go, Legs." She added with a smile.
The surly hunter glanced over at Sam, who just had a tired smile. "Why did you pray?" Dean gruffed and stood by himself. He ignored her.
Sam sighed. "You were about to be eaten, Dean."
"Dean," Ariel started with a step toward the stubborn hunter. "Don't pretend to hate me cause I made an honest mistake. I didn't want to scare you."
Dean curled and uncurled his fingers as he listened to her words. "No, something like that isn't a mistake. Lying isn't a mistake, you made that choice."
The redhead took a wary step back. "Can you for once get your head out of your ass, It is not a hat!" She uttered.
"Fuck you." Dean shouted and stepped to the offending angel. His chest fluctuated as he glared down at Ariel, who returned his gaze.
"Fuck me? Fuck you! It's not my fault you can't handle the truth!" Ariel argued.
"The truth?! You have no right to talk about truths! All you did was lie to me." Dean huffed, taking another step closer.
They were now three feet apart.
"Lie to you?! Dean Winchester, you are the God of lying! Your whole life, you conned and stole. I decided to not tell you that Sam is hanging with a demon and that my job as an archangel would be to kill Samuel if he went dark side for your benefit!" Ariel stomped her foot down to put emphasis on the word benefit. She continued, "You just came back from Hell, you discovered Angels were real, you went back in time and witnessed so much death. Why in the world would I want to add to that?"
"I never asked for any of this! I have been taking care of me and Sammy my whole life, you do not get to waltz in here with your pretty red wings and decide what's good for us. I don't care how old you are." The angered hunter closed the three-foot gap between them and gestured to himself and the door where Sam should have been standing.
The only word that Ariel picked up was Red. "Red?" She questioned with a shaky breath. "You can see my wings?" Her eyes were wide.
Dean remained silent once he realized he let slip that he can see her wings. He wanted to apologize, but something prevented him from articulating. The way she asked him and how her eyelashes fluttered every time she looked away made his blood pump faster. It took him a moment for him to realize that she had expected an answer. Was he supposed to talk now? Fuck.
"I'm sorry..." Ariel whispered in an oppressive tone. She fixed her gaze on the broken man in front of her.
The righteous man withdrew sharp breaths threw his teeth. He parted his lips in an attempt to apologize, but only nonsense came out. "I- You know-"
The woman tentatively raised her fingers to his cheek. "You're sorry?" She palpitated as she crept closer to his front.
Dean felt inclined to lean into her touch, shutting his eyes, and gave her a slight nod. It was the first time she actively tried to touch him since he dreamt, and the sensation was intoxicating.
"I'm sorry. I just get so angry...I don't know why." He choked out, licking his lips to prevent them from drying. His eyes wandered down her face to her fleshy pink lips. It was tempting, and there would be nothing to drag them apart now. Dean raised both shaky hands to her head and clutched both sides of her face.
Ariel's sapphire orbs bounced between Dean's eyes and lips. "I didn't mean to call you an asshat or lie to you. I should have told you-" She whispered in a quivery tone.
"You talk too much." Dean growled as he hastily yanked Ariel into a deep, heartfelt kiss. He nearly knocked her over with the amount of force he exerted.
The buzzing started again.
Once their mouths united, a surge of exaltation billowed through Ariel's body. The man squeezed her face, afraid she might disappear at any given moment.
Dean furrowed his brows as his teeth nibbled at her bottom lip. His tongue danced wildly behind his teeth; he could not wait any longer. The jaded man attacked her neck, pressing wet sloppy kisses against her feverish skin.
The pushing and pulling overwhelmed the vessel, the coil wounding up and tightening as heat pooled between Ariel's legs. She tossed her arms over Dean's shoulders and raked her nails across his nape. She wanted the buzzing to stop. They needed to be one.
They almost forgot there was a burning man on the floor until Sam rushed into the house and cleared his throat. "Sorry to interrupt. But we gotta go." Sam affirmed.
The two tore apart almost immediately. Ariel worked her fingers through her tangled hair and looked to Sam with lust blown eyes and swollen lips. She cleared her throat and fixed her jacket collar.
"Right." Dean huffed and speedily left for the exit.
. . .
Baby pulled off into the sunrise.

13x12 - Episode Review - What is Fifth Base Anyway?
So the people at Google must have been confused when they discovered the number of searches for “fifth base” drastically went up overnight… Steve Yokey you cheeky bugger I love you! (Show of hands everyone who did this? Go on, admit it!)
This episode was really good. One of the stronger ones of an already very strong bunch as season 13 continues to exceed in quality. It had jokes, it had deep emotional revelations, it had Cas once again using his SuperPower of sassing the fuck out of things to get what he wants. Yeah it was pretty awesome! So let’s delve into the main points.
The Red Herring Love Spell
We were all expecting this to be an episode similar to 12x11 based on how it was marketed to us. Dean is under a love spell! It’s up to Sam and Rowena to save him! That seemed to be the gist of the PR team’s focus. As ever, PR is not Showrunning and this turned out to be one giant red herring.
The love spell lasted all of five minutes. So why bother? WHY was a love spell even PART of this plot?! Seriously? Someone tell me how this episode couldn’t have followed the EXACT same narrative with the sisters using some other spell to force people to do things for them? The fact is, that love spell was pointless for the plot but excellent for getting people thinking about LOVE. Specifically, Dean Winchester and LOVE, or at least, what love should be, and what it most definitely is not.
Aside from the fact that the clunky music whenever the love spell was invoked made me cringe, I thoroughly enjoyed how innocent it all seemed. Dean got to play Prince Charming to the princess and provide her with a gift of her choosing. I think it says something about Dean that the love spell encouraged this fairy tale vibe specifically for him, when for Dale at the start it was all about him playing protector and hero through violence and theft. I just thought it was an interesting statement about Dean’s wishes and desires compared to other men. Though I gotta admit, the gift giving, goofiness and oh I dunno, protecting his lover from a gun? It all seemed rather familiar to me… Hmmm…
I mean who else has Dean previously entrusted with powerful one off weapons?
Tumblr media
Who else has Dean had to recently protect from a pointed gun much to his own horror rather than the recipient who is unlikely to be harmed by a regular gun anyway?
Tumblr media
Who else makes Dean goofy and pull these silly delighted faces?
Tumblr media
*looks into the camera like on the Office*
Yeah, but see these are not really examples of true love, even though they are all things done with Cas. What IS true love in season 13 is something that subtextually KEEPs getting referred to in EVERY EPISODE. That in 13x01 – 13x05 Dean was deeply lost in grief. Deeply mourning over the loss of Cas – someone who he is truly in love with. Love makes you do crazy things? Yeah, and as Billy said in 13x05 (Yokey’s last episode FYI) Dean wanted to die. Cas’s death had brought him to that level. The fact that now it is SAM who is feeling low, feeling powerless because of the loss of Mary and Jack, and Dean is able to remain focussed and have HOPE that they will save them, continues to be astonishingly hypocritical of Dean given where he was when Cas was dead. But it does keep drawing our attention to that fact, and for that I love it.
Bonus point for “I think you may be right, I think its time we go ahead and call Cas…” … “I’m in love” because Yokey could have written Sam saying ANYTHING at that point but he chose to remind the audience about Cas at that exact moment… as Dean announces he is in love, because the two are connected (and because it then wouldn’t be that much of a stretch to assume that Sam’s initial reaction is “Oh… so you finally admit it?”)
Tumblr media
(FYI this crappy gif is my own. Don’t judge. It’s the first I’ve ever made.)
Sam’s mild amusement here just fits the “oh so you finally admit it? We can call Cas and start the wedding preparations?” interpretation and NO ONE can stop me seeing it that way! :D
Bonus Point two for the mentions of “Soulmates” (which relate to Angels in the show) and “Cosmic” (which again, tends to relate to angels and Cas).
Bonus point three that this is an episodes marketed as Dean being in love! LOOK AT ALL THIS HETEROSEXUALITY! It seems to scream at our general audiences, and yet, as always in SPN, if the GA are seeking heterosexuality, they are to be disappointed. They got a 5 minute mini love spell plot and Dean once again is without even a hint of an actual true female romantic partner. Nope, sorry heteros seeking a woman for Dean. You won’t find that here!
Basically, it’s not too much of a stretch to interpret this entire love spell mini plot as exposition for the TRUTH regarding Dean and “true love”. Because we all know it. It’s right there in the subtext. I just wish they’d make it text already.
Review continues under the cut as per usual...
Addressing Long unspoken Trauma – FINALLY
Officially my favourite part of the episode (unofficially my second fave part after “fifth base”), the conversations between Sam and Rowena about their trauma at the hands of Lucifer had me welling up. This is the first time in SPN history that Sam has actually opened up to ANYONE about his Lucifer trauma. Read that again. Be amazed that it has taken this long. Send Dabb and Yokey a fruit basket for this.
One thing season 13 has been excellent at doing, is making things textual that were previously only implied. This seems to be a continued trend following on from the reveal in 12x22 that Dean is effectively Sam’s parent (A fact meta writers have been talking about for YEARS.)
I don’t really have much to say about it actually, because it’s all just THERE in the text. It has left me kind of speechless.
SAM: Its not gonna change anything, you’re still gonna feel helpless. What Lucifer did to you…
ROWENA: I told you I don’t… before he crushed my skull, Lucifer showed me his face. His true face. I’m scared Sam. All the time.
SAM: I’ve seen it too. What he really looks like behind… behind whatever vessel… yeah it still keeps me up at night.
ROWENA: How do you deal with it?
SAM: I guess I don’t deal with it, not really. I mean I…Ive pushed it down, and the world kept almost ending and so I keep pushing it down and I dunno… I don’t really talk about it, not even with Dean, I mean I could… he would listen but, it’s not something I really know how to share.
…..
SAM: Even if you do get the book, and even if you get your power back. It won’t matter. You won’t ever be able to change what happened, you won’t be able to change how helpless you felt, or how helpless you feel. You’re still gonna get scared. That feeling, that feeling never goes away.
ROWENA: Never?
SAM: Never.
Honestly it’s perfect. Yokey has decided that enough is enough. We need to discuss this. We need to talk about the fact that our main characters have a shit load of trauma. It’s about GODDAMN TIME.
Tumblr media
(x)
I just want to scream about the shots for a second though because god bless Amanda Tapping for being so excellent at capturing emotions. I am starting to think she is one of the best directors for it. The intimate long close ups on the actors faces as they open about this stuff, it just works. The soft music in the back ground pulls no focus away from the gravity of Sam’s words. It’s intense, and harrowing and kudos to Jared here because I think he must have been ITCHING for a moment like this for Sam for YEARS (and for god sake someone ask him about this scene at a con instead of more bloody prank questions PLEASE.)
I also love that it’s Rowena who Sam opens up to about this stuff, because she has that in common with him. I know that it can be argued that Cas has also experienced trauma at the hands of Lucifer, but since Cas is an angel it’s not the same. I doubt Lucifer’s true face would affect Cas, since Cas is already an angel with the ability to see and cope with seeing things that human minds struggle to comprehend.
I think Rowena and Sam is our new Dean and Crowley. They are enemies, but they have a mutual respect for one another and I see this as a really good thing both for Sam and Rowena. Because Crowley was changed thanks to his bond with Dean (love for Dean), he was able to find redemption in that. Rowena could also now find redemption, especially considering her newly powered up status. For Sam I think it was a smart choice to give Rowena the pages at the end. It wasn’t just about the bond they formed over shared trauma, it was Sam knowing that Rowena is right, that Lucifer will always find a way back, and Sam knows that eventually he will have to face him again, and he needs all the help and power he can get, so a powered up Rowena is a powerful ally to have against the creature that tortured and broke both their spirits.
Am I shipping them? No, not really. I still think Rowena is a villain. I never shipped Drowley, though I acknowledge it’s existence in the show as basically a hairsbreadth away from canon. (it’s technically just as close to canon if not more so than Destiel and strongly implied that they hooked up in various episodes). But if the show did go there with Sam and Rowena I wouldn’t mind it as such. I just don’t think it would be endgame. But sure, it could work for a while. I see them more like frenemies with mutual interests. Besides, I’m a Saileen girl all the way and will continue to hope for Eileen’s resurrection this season.
Narrative Mirrors – Witches and Winchesters
Ah narrative mirrors, don’t we love them? I especially love them when they highlight the Winchester family dynamics and just how screwed up they all are. Our witchy sisters fall extremely easily into this category. Jamie and Jenny or “J2” as I now plan to call them (I see what you did there Yokey). So J2 are motivated to do whatever it takes to bring back mum. Whatever it takes even though they are hardly competent witches and only seem to have one spell mastered – the love spell. The older sister uses her charm to encourage the victims to do whatever they wish for, whilst the younger sister is the smarter of the two, more skilled in magic (I wonder who they are supposed to represent?)
They have one purpose, and will stop at nothing until that purpose is fulfilled:
JAMIE: I’m sorry, I know I’m the big sister and I’m supposed to be the strong one or whatever.
JENNY: Yeah?
JAMIE: I just really miss her.
JENNY: I do too.
JAMIE: I know, and I like, really believe in us
JENNY: Jamie, I just want her back so bad
JAMIE: And we’re going to get her back, even if we have to cast every spell in this book and curse the souls of like a million people to make it happen.
Doesn’t this sound rather familiar? Like from 13x09:
DEAN: You were right, about mom you were right, this whole time we should have been looking for her
SAM: I was just hoping, I didn’t know. And anyway it doesn’t matter, now that we do know.
DEAN: We find her, no matter what it takes.
Which always made me kinda uncomfortable. There is a reason that Billy didn’t want Dean knowing their mum was still alive. Because Billy knows that the Winchesters would break the Universe to bring her back. “House of Cards” she called it. What’s the betting that thanks to Sam and Dean this “house of cards” is going to come tumbling down just as Billy predicted? Because I would put money on it.
At the end of the episode, we realise that Sam and Dean are in exactly the same place as J2. Jamie – the older sister, trying to support and reassure her younger sister, the one who “wants mom back so badly”. Jamie, unlike her sister, is totally focused on completing their task, whereas Jenny has her doubts. Just like Sam and Dean. We know that Dean is back to “We’ll figure it out” and “you and me” even though Sam is NOT on board with this, but like Jenny, Sam will follow Dean into a hornets nest if it means doing what they set out to do and save mum.
The girls mum came back wrong though, a zombie. When Mary was first resurrected she certainly wasn’t what the boys expected either, and now she is lost again, whose to say just what state she will be in when she is finally freed? Perhaps the message for the boys here is to actually let her go? As in, let go of the memory of Mary that they had sat on a pedestal (Dean in particular) and start to accept the woman their mother actually is, and let her do her thing, because otherwise it may kill them all.
Tumblr media
And isn’t this moment just a perfect visual representation of the toxic co-dependency that is the Winchester brothers? Stab stab stab. One of them even has a hammer… LOL.
(Yup its another one of my crappy gifs.)
The Sassiest Angel in the Garrison
Oh Cas, I have missed your beautiful face…
Tumblr media
(x)
(Dipper agrees with me)
Now I think everyone knows by now that I hate Lucifer. As in, I find the character extremely irritating and just want him off our screens dead and buried, and that Mark P can go annoy some other shows audience. The ONLY thing that makes watching Lucifer remotely bearable for me, is Castiel - wonderful, perfect, funny, grumpy, brilliant Castiel, sassing the fuck out of him. Bearing in mind all their scenes but one took place behind bars, I was as always captivated by Cas and the brilliant genius he is.
So far in season 13, Castiel hasn’t actually spent much time using his powers, his grace, to actually get anything done. What he has done, is be incredibly smart and used that tactician brain of his to talk himself out of any situation. Everything Castiel does has a purpose. He is generally a creature of few words (except when it comes to Dean) and therefore, whenever he does speak, it is usually with a great deal of thought. (There was a brilliant meta on the word “assbutt” and how it is the worst insult he could possibly throw at Lucifer and yet everyone still ridicules him for it. Don’t knock the word assbutt. Cas knew exactly what he was doing!)
And so Cas isn’t just being a sassy little bitch in this episode. He’s being a sassy little bitch with purpose. Lucifer may be powered down, but he still has power. Cas knows this. Cas knows that the best way to get Lucifer activating what little power he has is to make him angry. So what does Cas do? He sass’s him, over and over. Pissing him off until eventually, it works.
“Turns out rage is a good motivator”
Tumblr media
Such a badass. Bye bye little Dipper.
This is why you should never underestimate Castiel. He will always get the better of you. He will always come out on top in the end.
“This is me, learning from my mistakes” he says whilst stabbing Lucifer at the end of the episode. I thoroughly enjoyed that moment of course, even if we know already it doesn’t stick. Since Lucifer is alive next episode. *sigh*.
Lucifer has been continuously hinting all episode that he want’s Cas’s grace. It seems possible due to pics from next week, that he may actually get what he seeks.
Tumblr media
Cas has blood on his collar, which he doesn’t have at the end of 13x12. So is Cas about to become human again? Or at least graceless? It’s possible. @tinkdw wrote this post about it (yes I stole her screencap). We were discussing this in our group chat yesterday and thanks to the themes that would come from another human!Cas story I can certainly get behind it, even if I hate the idea that it isn’t his choice yet again. This time, having Lucifer steal his grace seems worse than the first time. But as I mentioned above, Castiel has already shown several times this season that his grace is in no way where his strengths lie. I just hope that it is still his choice in the end to give it up, or not regain it, however that story may pan out.
But yeah maybe prepare ourselves for a human Cas whose grace was stolen by Lucifer plot? I mean if it doesn’t happen great, but if it does... don’t say we didn’t warn ya okay? I know how sensitive we all get about Cas stuff - this is literally the first any of us had thought of this. Besides, he’ll still be amazing even if Lucifer does take his grace, He’ll get in a few more stabs before the end. No doubt.
Other Awesome Stuff
The “fifth base” scene. Yeah this was certainly risqué of Yokey. I was screaming about this to Tink in the chatty bubbles, trust a gay writer to throw in a gay joke aimed at our currently in the closet bisexual lead character and have him act all awkward like he doesn’t know what it is… *glances at Sam* What? Nope, I’ve never… There’s NO SUCH THING AS FIFTH BASE. Sure Jan. Just as I scoff at the idea of Dean not knowing basic French, the idea that Dean DOESN’T know what fifth base is, is absurd. These are purposely input into this episode to raise our eyebrows and DOUBT them.
Baring in mind the way Rowena asks that question “Did THEY get to fifth base?” not “Did YOU get to fifth base” strongly implies actually that Rowena was asking if Dean was pegged. Let’s get that clear. Once again, we have a bottom!dean joke in the subtext of the show. (At some point we need to round up EVERY reference to Dean’s ass and compare it to the other characters just to make this point.)
Oh gosh I haven’t even got to “What’s by is by” yet. The top result in google for this supposed saying is a destiel fanfic written as coda for this episode. There is NOTHING else. It doesn’t exist. What is Yokey playing at exactly? Bygones be bygones maybe? But she had to say it like that? After a reference to anal? To DEAN? Yeah I know everyone is probably already yelling about this on tumblr but still. This is a very huge WTF from me to Yokey that he would ever think we WOULDN’T pick up on this. He did it on purpose. It has a reason, just like everything else. The reason being “Dean is Bi”.
......
Tumblr media
(x)
The final scene with Rowena is spectacular. It’s also oddly erotic but maybe that’s just me. Rowena is finally unbound, powerful, free, and probably quite deadly. Here’s hoping she raises a hell of a storm. I have always loved Rowena’s character so for me this idea of her being “unbound” and basically immortal is really interesting. I just hope this paves the way to her helping the Winchesters defeat the big bads to come. Because I see her becoming more of an ally as time goes by. I hope she continues to have a big part to play in the story, and after this final scene I am practically sure she will.
....
Castiel speaking about Jack like he’s a proud parent gives me life. He truly loves the kid. It’s beautiful.
....
Why does Lucifer attract so many dick jokes nowadays? I’m actually almost getting tired of them. For shits and giggles I’m gonna accept it at face value that Lucifer, unlike Crowley, is not well endowed. It makes sense. The tantrums, the violence. Little man syndrome. Pfft.
I’m also going to take it at face value that Cas is most likely huge. Yeah, that smirk is telling.
Tumblr media
We all know he’s a big boy. ;-)
....
Hats off to Brenda. The biggest star of the episode. Never failed to make me laugh every time I watched.
Tumblr media
You go Brenda. You were awesome.
Overall
Solid episode with lots of great moments. Now all I need is Cas to find the boys and get really pissy with them when he realises they didn’t ONCE figure out that Colonel Sanders was impersonating him. I mean sure, Dean has super low self esteem and was clearly grumpy with Cas at the start of the episode for only really checking in with Sam, not coming home after taking off, clearly CHOOSING the road over being at home with HIM... But that doesn’t excuse him being blind to Asmodeus’s impersonation. Bring on next week. I hope Dean grovels.

Tsukiuta AU: Cardverse
Judai: A Tsukiuta AU based from Hetalia Cardverse.
I actually like that au... lol....
Anyway... I was planning on posting this after I finish my drawing for this au... but I was planning on buying a drawing tablet so....
But the drawing only needs to be colored so...
Shun: Judai-chan, you're rambling~
Judai: Uhh... Anyway, this is an au where the characters from tsukiuta and tsukipro are in the cardverse, aka hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds.
***
Terms:
• Royals: Composed of the King, Queen, Jack and Ace. They're the highest and 4 most powerful people that governs the nation.
• Inverse: Are like royals. If the 4 royals are not present, the inverse will be the one to continue to govern the nation. Composed of Inverse King, Inverse Queen, Inverse Jack and Inverse Ace.
• Symbols: The main source of energy of a nation. It is said that it gathers energy from everything in the entire universe. Symbols differ on each nation.
Hearts = Rose (crystal), Spades = Clock (Tower), Clubs = Tree (thousand-year old), Diamond = Orb (of Darkness)
• King: The most powerful of the four royals. They gather most of their energy from the nation's symbol (directly) but can only be done during an emergency or power depletion. Their alternative source of energy is from the Queen.
They're the only one who can control and use the power of the symbol. Their royalty symbol is etched on their chest. A King without a Queen is a rare case which haven't occurred ever since.
• Queen: The second most powerful. They are the provider of energy. The Queen and the Symbol are connected as the Queen is the vessel used for giving energy to the King. They cannot release destructive power (i.e. powers used for attack) making them, as their people see them, as the most vulnerable of the four that's in need of protection. Their royalty symbol is etched on their palm (left or right).
• Jack: The third most powerful. They are the fighters and protectors. Unlike the King and Queen, who are both born with the symbol of royalty, Jack are selected from the strongest fighter and magic user. Their main task is to protect the King, Queen and Ace (mostly the Queen or the Ace). Their sign is tattooed on their neck (left or right).
• Ace: The third most powerful. They are the healers and magic users. Ace can either be selected or born with the royalty symbol. Ace that are born with the symbol are the prince, the next in line to the throne, while those who aren't are either the advisers, prime ministers or strategists. Their royalty symbol is on their back.
• Joker: The bringer of destruction. His main objective is to gather all the Symbols in order to destroy the world. No one knows who or what exactly is a Joker. Often wears mask so no one knows what he's look like, or even his gender.
• Energy transfer process: The King can gather energy from the Queen through: (1) touching (direct contact), (2) kissing, (3) hugging, and (4) exchange of body fluids (either by drinking the Queen's blood or through sexual intercourse)
Nations:
Kingdom of Hearts (Fate):
Royals: Procellarum
Inverse: Seleas
House of Spades (Time):
Royals: Six Gravity
Inverse: Fluna
Country of Clubs (Nature):
Royals: Growth
Inverse: Soara
Land of Diamonds (Death):
Royals: SolidS
Inverse: Quell
Kingdom of Hearts: The kingdom guided by Fate. The symbol of the Hearts is a crystal rose encased in an unmelted ice.
The Kingdom of Hearts has no Queen. Rumors say the King of Hearts gathers energy from the Jack and Ace of Hearts or the Queen of Hearts is hidden in the palace, away from the eyes of the public.
But legend says the King of Hearts receives energy from 'love.' If 'love' exist, then the King of Hearts exist, but if 'love' disappears, the King of Hearts will disappear with it.
The Kingdom of Hearts was once known as the kingdom of peace for it was widely known before that hearts doesn't favor war.
Royals: Procellarum
Shimotsuki Shun: The kingdom's King. He's the only 'king' who doesn't have a 'queen.' He loves to mingle and interact with the residents of the kingdom, helping them (although he mostly let Kai or You do the work), listens to their stories or problems and singing to them. He loves his people and they all love him in return.
Their 'love' is the energy Shun receives in order to sustain his power. He loves tea time and escaping his duties (and going out of the castle).
He can produce ice, water, light and darkness powers despite being the King of Hearts. Only the royals and their trusted companions know about the king's special abilities.
The king filled with curiosity who loves all and is loved in return.
Weapon: staff (which transforms into a sword)
Fuduki Kai: The Jack of Hearts. Born without the royalty symbol, he was selected to be the Jack who protects the King and the kingdom.
Although he's more of a brother or father figure of the royals. At 15 years old, he became the Jack of Hearts and met the 13 year-old Shun.
As the Jack, he's proficient at fighting (especially sword fighting) and the master swordsman of the kingdom (but no one knows who's the better swordsman between him and a serious Shun).
Despite his manliness, he actually likes sweets and is often Shun's companion (aside from Rui) during tea time.
Weapon: sword
Minaduki Rui: The Ace of Hearts. Born with the royalty symbol, as the prince he's the next to the throne of becoming the King of Hearts.
He's a healer and a magic user. Shun mostly teaches him the art of magic, i.e. controlling elements, teleportation, potions, spells, etc. His element is water.
Weapon: magic
Nagatsuki Yoru: The Royal Adviser and the resident bookworm. Despite not being a royal, he's close to the King, Jack and Ace. He's a great cook and often makes the sweets they eat during tea time.
When at work, he's always at Shun's side, diligently helping the King in doing the paperwork and doing the financing. He is Rui's teacher in both academics and magic. He's a summoner.
Weapon: magic (summoning)
Haduki You: The Royal Knight. He is Kai's second-in-command and Yoru's childhood friend.
Initially the Jack-in-training, You decided to continue being a royal knight as Yoru's protector. A bit of a tsundere and doesn't hesitate to speak his mind.
Despite being born in a household full of magic users, You and the second eldest brother are the only ones who pursued knighthood. He's close to the royals and one of their trusted companions.
Weapon: twin swords
Kannaduki Iku: The Jack-in-training. His duty is to be the Ace's protector, thus he's close to Rui.
Though sometimes, he's tasked to accompany Shun whenever the king wanted to go out of the castle.
As someone who's close to the royals, he became one of their trusted companions. His holy sword, Excalibur, was given to him by Shun himself, stating Iku is the only one who can wield it and that the sword chose him as its master.
Weapon: Excalibur (holy sword)
Sakaki-san: The castle's head butler and Head Royal Adviser. Yoru's teacher and Shun's most trusted adviser.
Has been at Shun's side ever since the King's childhood. Even though he's only five years older than Shun, his appearance and mannerism make him much older than his age.
Weapon: anything that can be used as a weapon... even books... he's that resourceful. Can also fight barehanded.
Kurotsuki Dai: The castle's Lieutenant-General. He's the Jack's mentor and the head of the palace's royal guards and army.
The castle's father-figure aside from Sakaki-san. A former Jack of Hearts.
As Kai's mentor, Kurotsuki has the duty to teach all the responsibilities and abilities that the current Jack should possess. He may look young but he's actually way older than Sakaki-san... his looks is the same as when he was the Jack 10 years ago. Can be a bit(?) overprotective when it comes to the royals and their trusted companions.
Weapon: sword

Judai: I'm thinking of writing this.... but... I dunno... *looks away*
Shun: *chuckles*

Behold Hannah’s new verse
Hannah’s Devorah verse. I have an OC named Devorah that is Castiel and Hannah’s daughter. She has her own page but this is Hannah’s verse that links up with hers. Note that this is not Hannah’s main verse, just another option.
Devorah Verse This verse takes place starting in season 10. It is a canon divergent verse independent of the main verse, but has a lot of elements of the main verse incorporated. This verse is in conjunction with my other main muses, Jo Harvelle (@Joharvellerpg) and Eileen Leahy (@Eileenleahyrp) and my multi muse OC account for Devorah, Autumn, and Jonah (@xhuntersandangelsx)
Season 9 and 10: (Hannah) Hannah’s story starts with the angel fall. She fell to Earth, taking Caroline Johnson as her vessel. Unlike the events in canon, Caroline met her fate right away when Gadreel massacred the angels leaving Hannah barely alive. She was in so much pain and suffering that she released Caroline’s soul to heaven in an act of mercy in order to spare her. Hannah continued to work with Castiel and the two got very close. After curing Dean of being a demon, they continued the hunt for rogue angels. It was through the course of working together that their relationship developed romantically. When confronted with Caroline’s husband Joe, Hannah is forced to erase his memory since Caroline is already dead. She is very upset by it and Castiel comforts her and their relationship turns romantic, especially after Hannah helps Castiel research his own vessel Jimmy and track Claire down. She also helps him as he and Sam try to find a way to release Dean from the mark.
(Jo): Season 5-11: Jo is thought to have been dead all this time, but she was resurrected immediately by Zachariah in hopes of using her against Dean at some point. But Zach never got the chance since the apocalypse was averted so he left her in the middle of Australia suffering from amnesia.
Jo was taken in by an elderly Australian aboriginal hunter who retrained her to hunt. After he died, she roamed the Australian continent, hunting mostly vampires. One night in Melbourne, she was caught off guard and bitten by a vampire. She managed to kill the entire nest but the vampire who bit her managed to turn her first.
Jo retreated into the outback, not wanting to be around people as she turned. She used meditation techniques she learned from her mentor to help lessen the craving for blood. At night, she hunted animals for blood and sometimes journeyed into cities and towns to break into blood banks. She has managed to not have to take a human life and continue being a hunter. She learned to infiltrate vampire nests in order to hunt them.
In the meantime, Jo’s memory began to return but she feared to return to the states. She had no idea if Dean was alive or not and was afraid of what he’d do when he discovers what she is. Eventually, she does make that decision and heads back to the states.
Season 11: (Hannah) Hannah helps Castiel during the trouble with Amara but is horrified when Lucifer possesses Castiel. She takes Castiel’s place helping the Winchesters defeat Amara. Eventually, Lucifer releases Castiel and the two resume their romantic relationship. Towards the end of the year, Hannah discovers she is pregnant.
(Jo) Jo returns to the states. She has a hard time tracking Dean down as she doesn’t know about the bunker, but she eventually finds him on a vampire hunt. After saving him from the vampires, she reunites with him for the first time in six years. He has mixed feelings about seeing her. He spends a few days with her, trying to catch up while she tells him everything about the past six years- minus the vampire part. He tells her about the mark and about Amara. The visit ends with them sleeping together but then Jo is caught red-handed drinking blood from the fridge. She is forced to tell him about being a vampire. Horrified and angry, Dean leaves, saying he’d kill her if he saw her again.
(Eileen): Use Eileen’s main verse for her backstory up to this point. After meeting and helping Sam hunt the Banshee, Eileen continues to hunt and to send Sam information. The two keep in touch for the year while Sam deals with the Amara crisis.
Season 12: (Hannah) During season 12, Hannah’s life is in danger from heaven. The angels do not approve of her and Castiel conceiving a child so Castiel takes her to the cabin in North Cove, Washington. He divides his time between helping the Winchesters locate Lucifer and spending time with Hannah. He’s upset that he doesn’t get to spend more time with her. When he decides to help Kelly Kline, he brings her to the cabin as well and he takes care of both women. Hannah and Kelly Kline end up going into labor at the same time but Castiel is killed by Lucifer before the devil and Mary get stranded in the apocalypse world by Jack’s birth.
While Kelly died in birth, Hannah survived. Jack grew but her baby, Devorah did not. Hannah was devastated by Castiel’s death and she, Jack, and the baby helped with the funeral of both him and Kelly. But Hannah opted to stay at the cabin with the baby while Jack left with the Winchesters.
Season 12:  (Jo) Jo spends the time hunting vampires when she and Dean cross paths again. She explains that she hasn’t killed a single human and that she is a very good vampire hunter, using her abilities. Dean finally agrees to let her come to the bunker and she proves her worth as she starts hunting with the Winchesters.
(Eileen) Eileen and Sam kept in contact after their initial meeting and p until this point, she has managed to keep the secret about being a werewolf a secret from him as she always seems to disappear on a hunt around the time of the full moon. After the incident with the British men of letters, she returned to Ireland, but instead of being killed, as in canon, she attacked and killed the hellhound as she was turning when it found her. She came back to the states and told Sam the truth. She lives at the bunker and she, Jo, and Hannah form a strong bond. Eileen and Jo spend a lot of time hunting together.
Season 13:  (Hannah) When Castiel is resurrected, he returns to find Hannah and Devorah hiding out in the cabin. He takes them both to the bunker. While dealing with the trouble in heaven with the imminent extinction of the angels, Castiel and Hannah remain on Earth with their baby.
(Eileen): Eileen discovers she is pregnant early into the year. With Hannah living in the cabin after Castiel’s death, and the Winchesters reeling from Cas’s death and later, from Jack and Mary being trapped in the apocalypse world, this is not a good time for a pregnant werewolf. But she decides to go through with the pregnancy anyway.
(Jo): Jo becomes pregnant towards the end of the year as she and Dean have entered into a precarious relationship. But she doesn’t get the chance to tell him before Michael takes over his body.
Season 14: Sam tries to maintain a sense of order among the now crowded bunker full of refugees from the apocalypse world. He and Cas are looking for clues to try to track down Dean. Eileen and Jo are both charged with communicating with their network of American hunters. Eileen eventually gives birth shortly meanwhile, after Michael left him, Dean returns to find a pregnant Jo.
Childhood: Devorah, Jonah, and Autumn are born into a frenzy a hunters life. Dean wants them to have some normalcy in their life despite what is going on around them so the six of them plan to raise them, and Jack, together. Sam, Dean, Jo, and Eileen still pick up hunting cases and Castiel and Hannah are still always ready to assist either the hunters or heaven, but they didn’t want their children to have to be forced into the life. Even though none of the kids are human, their parents are adamant that they have a somewhat normal childhood. They rely heavily on Jack to help take care of his little cousins, but they also decide to have arrangements where half of them stay home while the other half go on hunts, and they tend to take shifts. Eileen and Jo often hunt together while Sam and Dean hunt together. If Jo and Eileen pick up a case then Sam and Dean stay home.
Castiel and Hannah made similar arrangements that if one of them had to go to heaven for whatever reason or help out on a hunt, the other stays home. They also had to manage jobs in town in order to support their family and the hunter’s life. Castiel and Hannah became university professors, Hannah teaching theology, philosophy, and theoretical physics while Castiel taught bee husbandry, biology, Earth Science and the cosmos. Dean worked at a car mechanic shop, Sam and Eileen both worked at the local library, and Jo worked at the local saloon. Jack went to high school for a time and then got a job working with Dean at the car shop.
Adolescence
As they grew, Devorah, Autumn, and Jonah learned about the life of a hunter, they were taught so that they would be aware. They were trained in self-defense, lore, first aid, and other hunter skills, but they were not permitted to go on hunts, even after they got older. Dean, in particular, was adamant that none of them would follow their footsteps.
College and beyond
Both Autumn and Devorah chose to go to college in Kansas City. Jonah opted to stay home and become a car mechanic like his father.
