I think the realest thing in Good Girl Bad Blood is that Pip is the fourth most hateable person in the poll- just after the three involved™. Because ofc a teenage girl asking questions and challenging the system and disrupting the small town bubble is the most annoying in the sea of rapists and killers

Can we talk about Dawn Bell for a second?

Spoilers for all Good Girl's Guide To Murder books obviously.

Since I finished the last book, I've had this thought that I really wish what happened to Dawn was addressed. Because just imagine being in this woman's shoes: your oldest daughter, Andie gets murdered and your husband is... weirdly controlling, but it's nothing. Andie's killer is dead and Jason moves out to get with another woman, but at least you have your youngest daughter, Becca.

Five years later a random 17 year old discovers that Becca actually killed Andie and Becca is sent to jail. Jason comes back to live you with you, as his new wife divorced him because of all the media coverage of him. He's obviously not happy. Then suddenly Jason turns up dead and it's revealed he was a serial killer.

Now your the only Bell left, with every family member except for Becca (who's in jail) dead. The only survivor of Fairview's cursed family.

I feel like no one ever talks about Dawn, she's just another side character with a shocking story that's pushed aside. She's quiet, that's for sure. Like she had this whole family with a husband and two daughters, and it all went down the drain in a matter of years. Dawn was always described as being like Jason's side kick who didn't really do anything, but I find it so interesting how she was the only Bell who made it out. And she's never talked about.

So, what happened to Dawn Bell?

Imagine if after years Holly Jackson releases a new series sort of like a sequel to AGGTM but with someone else as the main character.This new character would be exactly like young Pip-smart,studious,sharp,believes that truth is everything etc.She takes it upon herself to investigate the death of Jason Bell just like Pip took it upon herself to investigate Andie Bell's death years ago.And then she finds out the real person who killed Jason-Pip.She understands the circumstances under which Pip committed the murder and put the blame on Max Hastings but still feels that the truth must come out.I know proving Pip guilty would be tough-she had an iron clad alibi,and there were forensic evidences against Max Hastings but just say somehow this new character cracks it and the whole truth comes out...That would be history repeating itself

started reading it last week and just finished good girl, bad blood. kinda scared for as good as dead bc ppl said it had them in pieces?? (if it has smth to do with pip and ravi— i’ll scream.)

anyway, been keeping track of my failed theories so far (literally never make me a detective), and my favorite one so far has to be that max was child brunswick and that andie’s father was actually also his father. how’d i get that? i have no idea. lmk what your favorite failed theories are!! (no spoilers from as good as dead.)

I have a friend who just finished AGGGTM (all three books) and she has an alternating 49/51 liking scale between pip and MAX. Fucking Max. She says it was wrong of pip to kill Jason when she could've just escaped and that it wasn't right of her to frame Max for it. When I mentioned that max was a rapist, she was like 'okay yeah but it's not worse than killing someone and framing someone else for it' and like she's like 'I think I like max more than pip but it's like a 49/51 thing and it switches' WHAT THE FUCK. The only reason im friends with her rn is bc this argument stays out of our friendship :) and our other friend in the trio said 'oh nice, he's smart' when I told her how he raped those girls. Oh and also first friend said it was wrong of pip to drug max but said NOTHING when I brought up the drunk hit and run thing. KEEP IN MIND, they're girls. And when we play 'whos most likely to' IM the one who gets voted for 'whos most likely to kill someone' smh

A little snippet of the As Good As Dead fanfic I’m currently writing! It’ll be a fairly short multi-part fic, taking place just after Pip escapes from her abduction. What if Pip decided to make Hawkins believe her another way? Pip sees Jason Bell’s car pull into the driveway and decides to keep running. She stays in hiding, leaving clues for Ravi to solve the mystery of her disappearance and ‘murder’- but can Ravi ever make the police believe him?

I’ve been thinking a lot about this so I’m gonna share my thoughts.

While Jason and Max weren’t “enemies” and Max didn’t actually kill Jason, they still disliked each other. The fight in the coffee shop proves that. Now, I don’t go into coffee shops too much, but if someone bumped into me I don’t start getting hostile with them? So with that being said, why would Jason be mad at Max? Jason knew what Max had done to Becca, but would he care so much to threaten Max? And to add into that, Jason also assaulted many women, so that being said I didn’t really think that Jason would care about that. And he didn’t really care about his family anyway. BUT! Then I thought about it more.

When Jason kidnapped Pip, he told her he went after women he thought were “too loud” and how he had to make sure his family wasn’t loud and that they listened to him. He even told Pip that he killed Barney because he thought Becca got a dog without his permission WHEN THEY WERENT EVEN LIVING TOGETHER! So it’s obvious he’s a complete control freak. Here’s my working theory: Jason hated Max not entirely because of what he did to Becca, but because Jason lost control over Becca when Max drugged her.

This makes sense to me but I’m not sure if it will to anyone else?
