Hi! Reading one of your fic got me this idea: hangman x reader, she isn't a pilot, maybe a paramedic or nurse or something like this. She goes to the hard deck because her best friend works there on the weekends and she became friends with the daggers, especially hangman and these two are pinning on each other, but don't act on their feelings because reader knows he doesn't do relationship and she doesn't like the friends with benefits thing, and Jake is afraid to not being able to give her the relationship she deserve, so they stay just friends. This make the daggers and some patrons going crazy because they are already a couple minus the kisses! So they try to find a way to make one of them to confess, but when someone suggest about making her jealous (because every men that frequent that hard deck know she is hangman girl and they don't want to go against him), Javvy put this idea down instantly because he knows reader (thanks to his casual but not so casual thing with her best friend) isn't going to confess anything but she will distance herself from Jake, so they let go of this plan unti one day Jake's sister surprise him on base and while he show her around and go to dinner the rest of the squad is at the hard deck with reader, and to a tipsy Fan boy this is the perfect excuse to put in motion their plan to get those two together. He goes to reader and says that Jake isn't coming because he is on a date with a girl who showed up on base, but they all still can have fun. But Javvy can see her change of expression and even if he didn't hear what fan boy said he put everything together, so just try to stop her from leaving but unsuccessfully. Jake and his sister enter the hard deck later in the night because he really want her to meet reader, but frown when he doesn't see her, so Javvy spill the beans and then there is a blur of Jake calling reader to clarify everything, his sister feeling like this is partially her fault and the daggers trying to find a plan to fix this when reader don't pick up the phone and fan boy realizing what he did. Next morning he and Javvy go to her best friend house hoping she is there, best friend is mad at Jake but after hearing what really happened she get mad at Javvy because "that's exactly why I told you to not try and make her jealous" and tell Jake reader is for real out of town the next two weeks and she will talk to her. At the end of these weeks where Jake barely talked with his team and the team trying to reach reader trying to fix this mess, Jake get a text from her best friend telling reader will be back home, so he goes there hours early to make sure to not miss her, and when he finally see her the first thing he says is "it was my sister" and explain everything and finally admit their feelings.

Bonus scenes: Rooster going to reader house days after her return to talk one more time, but when he is near her place he see her and Jake making out so he goes back home keeping the secret that even with a little detour fan boy plan worked

Ohh I like this! I feel like this is a perfect 3x1 or 4x1 along the lines of - The three times reader and Jake acted like a couple and the one time Fanboy did something about it! I'll probably shorten up the ending but make it fluffy and sweet with some heavy angst.

Hey guys! I thought it would be fun to hop on my stories quick to show you all this super cute pop-up that I'm at! I'm here with Javvy! [the tiefling holds up their arm to show that they're holding hands with the owlin] It's called the Seelie Market! It's this fae night market that showed up outside the Strixhaven campus today, and I can't tell you how gorgeous and, like, kind of eerie it is.

[The camera flips to show the rows of stalls lining the illuminated pathway as they continue walking]

Not in, like, a bad way, but in a cool, mysterious kind of way; the atmosphere here is still festive! It's kind of circus-y but like..."dark carnival" sort of circus. Plus, look at all these artisan vendors. It's sooo important to support small businesses, y'know? They don't even use gold here, it's all trade based, like a little creative commune! If you're in the area or see that it's coming your way, you should def check it out!

[The camera flips back to show the couple again, but mostly the tiefling]

The first vendor we hit up was a literal talking dog that was, like, selling a bunch of cute trinkets. All you had to do was trade a trinket of your own to get one. Javvy got me this beautiful set of hairpins [the tiefling turns their head to show off a shining, opalescent pin in their hair]. We literally just left my friend Mettie there because I knew he wasn't ever gonna want to leave- I think one time he spent, like, 2 hours in front of a single shelf at an antique store back in our hometown.

[Turns to the owlin, laughing] Did I ever tell you that story? Oh, my goddess, I think I ran around the place, like, 10 times before he'd finished inspecting everything and holding the old guy who ran the place hostage by asking where he got every little trinket. He seemed happy to have someone to talk to at first, but, like, we didn't even have any money 'cuz we were kids- the old guy got soooo pissed when we left without buying anything. [Pauses] Well, okay, he might've been mad because I did break a tea set. He didn't let us back in unless we had money after that.

[the camera flips suddenly to show a bunch of fruit stands] Wait, look! They even have a farmer's market kind of thing going on. There's fruit stands all throughout. The berries were really fresh, and the prices were [pauses] uh...basically dirt cheap. Really good deal for locally sourced produce.

After that we went and got our fortunes told, too! They have this cute setup for tarot readings right in the center of the market! [The tiefling holds up an intricately decorated card labeled 'The Throne'] They even let us keep the cards! I got this one- it was something about, like, new responsibilities and how only I'd know if I was ready for them when the time came? I guess I need to do some introspection. Jav got a reading, too- [Glances at the owlin] uh, but...I mean, the whole thing is definitely bogus, even if it is fun!

I know Mire and Willow went in ahead of us, but they seemed pretty set on seeing the rest of the fair so I didn't get much of a chance to talk to them about their readings. Willow has been way interested in seeing the masked guy on the poster- I think it's the main act in the little circus performance they put on! They probably headed in that direction. Last I saw Sersh I "encouraged" her to get a reading, too... Hopefully the psychic gave her whatever card tells her to stop being such a boring stick in the mud [snickers].

I'm not sure where Lulu or- [grimaces] ugh, wait, I see Thad by those cute dolls I wanted to look at, actually. Did he buy something...? [Huffs and begins walking faster, pulling the owlin along] Whatever, we'll go there later. There's plenty of other stuff to check out first, like [pauses, squinting at something in the distance] the card collector? Sure, let's go see what that guy's all about. [Turns to the owlin] Does that sound good? [The owlin nods and agrees] Maybe they take the cards we got from our fortunes and do something with them...?

Alright, guys, I'm gonna hop off while we check the rest of this place out! I'll be back on later if anything cool happens, [they glance over at the owlin] or I might just post a little update-slash-summary video tomorrow so I can enjoy my date [the tiefling winks at the camera before the video cuts].

HISTORY Kenji had lived a privilaged life. As an infant, his father, a well-known surgeon, was offered a position in Denver, Colorado. The family was thrilled, quickly packing up their lives in Tokyo and moving across the world to the United States. The position allowed for the family to live very comfortably. They owned nice cars, a beautiful home, and were even able to purchase a few vacation homes throughout the US. Unfortunately for the family of three, the infection soon because to spread through the city, and the world. Still, they managed to do well for themselves even after FEDRA moved in to create the Denver QZ. Kenji's father continued his work as a surgeon, though he was forced to move away from his area of expertise to perform surgeries of all varieties. He was a great asset in the QZ, and soon, he and his wife welcomed another child. This time it was a little girl. Life in the QZ wasn't great, but it was better than what the world was experiencing outside the protective walls. When Kenji grew to adulthood, he was quickly recruited by FEDRA to become a soldier. It awarded his family more stability in the QZ, and Kenji felt good about doing something to "help" his fellow survivors. But as time went on, Kenji began to slowly understand the behavior of the rebel Fireflies group--and also started to see how corrupt FEDRA could be. Despite being a remarkable soldier, Kenji was starting to lose faith in what FEDRA stood for. His family, too, began to lose hope in the government that was supposed to be protecting them. For a year, the family secretly plotted how they would escape the city to make the trek up to Jackson, Wyoming--a place they had vacationed many times before. It wasn't a terribly far journey--one that could be done easily if everything went according to plan. But everything did not. Though they managed to make it out of the city unscathed, they were attacked by raiders shortly after they crossed the border of Wyoming. Kenji's sister was snatched, forcing both Kenji and his father to go after her. But Kenji's father urged his son to take his mother and carry on toward Jackson. In his words--"Some of us have to make it." Though Kenji protested, he knew he couldn't leave his mother alone on the journey. Reluctantly, Kenji and his mother continued on while his father went after Kenji's kidnapped sister. Kenji and his mother successfully made it to Jackson--though his father and sister never did make it. Three years later, Kenji carries deep sorry and guilt for what happened to half of his family. He blames himself for much of it, and as a result, the previously cheerful and optimistic Kenji has turned into a shell of what he used to be. Now, he is cynical, pessimistic, and reclusive. It's rare for him to genuinely smile, even more rare for him to laugh. He's a hardass who spends his time training the townsfolk and kids to defend themselves, caring little for complaints or tears.
