I made some tasty v/gf cookies the other night thanks to my #pmsgoblin, and also some tasty pasta with #zuchininoodles 😁 ⁣ ⁣ ... and while I was checking out @lees_market I discovered a whole treasure trove of #vegan and #glutenfree food and was sooo happy!! I got @nutsforcheese super blue cheese and I had to try really hard not to eat it all in one go 😬🤤⁣ ⁣ I know a couple people have asked if I’m vegan or not (I know my food posts can be confusing haha) so here is what’s up: ⁣ ⁣ I have a bad reaction when I eat things that contain eggs, wheat, and dairy so I do my best to avoid food that contains those ingredients. I also have a reaction (though, less severe) to soy, pea protein, and almonds; I avoid these as much as I can but still eat more than I’d like given that they’re in so much of the vegan/vegetarian food. ⁣ I can manage my reactions to those them by taking allergy pills and probiotics, and limiting how much of the I consume on a daily basis. Because of this I typically buy/cook things that are vegan/gluten free, but I also still do eat meat semi regularly. From what I can gather, it seems like I my body is happiest on a “hunter/gatherer” type diet that includes lots of fruit, veggies, and some meat. ⁣ ⁣ Hopefully that clears up some of the confusion, and if you have any questions just let me know. Been busy cooking this weekend! Made a portobello “pot roast” last night and these little biscuits tonight to go with the stew! I [𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺] did some proper cooking last night 🥰 i made #kimchifriedrice (a recipe from @marissa.hma with a few modifications) with tofu and bacon, and then ended up having a bunch of stuff leftover, so I made a curry fried rice thing too! They both turned out suuuuuper tasty and it feels really good to get back to cooking. ⁣ It’s really only the second time I’ve properly cooked at the new place (swipe to see some pics of the kitchen, complete with cooking mess), so it made me really happy 😊 ⁣ I also made a massive batch of vinegar based coleslaw, but didn’t get any pics because, we’ll, coleslaw.
