From the Dark Pictures anthology, House of Ashes is the best imo. Not only is it more entertaining to watch, it also has a nationalist military dude admit to be high as balls when 9/11 happened, to an Iraqi soldier that just wants to be there for his son's bday but duty calls (Salim is the best character by far).

Aside from a point of view of the American military that is very appreciated in the fact that 2 characters admit their faults and regret their actions while on service, it's a very entertaining game because of the stupid dialogue from some of the characters and also Ashley tisdale is there and she looks very goofy.

The "supernatural" elements are really interesting, I enjoyed the monster design and the level design where you find "the nest" is honestly gorgeous, if not a little underdeveloped in how much you can interact in the environment, but nothing like The Devil in Me, a game with an interesting concept that seems rushed to the point of seemingly being tossed to the side in order to launch The Quarry, very empty and boring with a few interesting parts, could've been shortened significantly. The lore about what the monsters were originally is highly intriguing, and I wish they could've expanded more on it but it's understandable why they couldn't.

A good person to watch if you dont wanna play it by yourself is John Wolfe because he makes Eric behave like an asshole and it's very entertaining, and this post was mainly inspired on the choises he made tbh.

Wait, so... John Wolfe (a seasoned horror & adventure game Let’s Player and streamer) was just harrassed by T#RFs, transphobcs, and other conscrvativcs following a highly successful charity livestream ... where he cosplayed a favorite character of his, Lady Dimitrescu.

Wild. I don’t get it.

Anyway, now he’s released a video telling those people “good riddance”, saying he stands with his trans and nonbinary viewers ... and he’s planning to do a charity livestream for Trans Lifeline, in the face of the misdirected hate speech he received (for respectfully cosplaying a character). This is THE best “”“controversy””” I’ve ever seen, holy shit. Net positive.

Following that... Heck, to anyone interested in indie horror Let’s Plays, and/or Dead By Daylight,  I highly recommend his channels (YouTube and Twitch - the latter being where he fundraises for various charities, and where he’ll be supporting Trans Lifeline in the near future).

Might be strange to plug someone else’s channel, but I just think everyone deserves to be respected by the content creators that they spend finite resources on ... so here’s my random, wholehearted recommendation to fellow horror fans (though, he sometimes plays non-horror games too)

(Note that this isn’t his first time demonstrating his support for LGBT+ people, but it is the loudest, in the most uncertain terms, and specifically occuring in the wake of bigoted backlash, so I think it’s worth celebrating and getting out there.)

(He’s also been fairly vocal regarding stigmatizing plots in horror games that negatively affect disabled people, which is just... SO rare, especially compared to the scope of the issue. I know, I know, beware of over-respecting strangers on YouTube... but he’s making it hard, lol.)
