“Can you two please just get a room already?” your brother whined as he rose to his feet. “Or at least stop flirting so openly in front of me. I’m gonna go buy some more drinks and snacks. Figure this out.”

You laughed at your brother’s murmuring as he walked to the front door of your apartment. He’d come over with his newly made friend, Haneul, while out on a short vacation from the military. And while things had started very awkward between the two of you, as the drinks kept getting poured, you both began to loosen up. Then the nonstop flirting started.

From batting eyes at one another to cooing at each other as you ate, it was comical, to anyone who wasn’t your bother at least. Not that you could blame him. It must be rather hard to sit there and watch as your little sister is blatantly flirting with your best friend - while drinking. He’d have to draw a line when got back to the base after the weekend ended. No more flirting with my little sister bro.

“He’s just jealous,” you whispered as you heard the front door shut. “Normally I dote on him quite a bit. He likes feeling needed.”

Haneul laughed, taking a sip from his glass before leaning against the couch, “He never stops talking about you and I can see why. If I had a younger sister who I adored and was incredibly proud of I wouldn’t stop talking about her either. I’d also be irked by the guy she’d be flirting with in my presence though.”

You burst out laughing uttering a small “hypocrite” in between laughs. When you settled down you sighed in contentment. During the few months your brother had been completing his mandatory service, he had been calling regularly and was constantly talking about the things he and Haneul ended up doing causing some extreme secondhand embarrassment on your end. It was nice to finally meet the second half of the comedic duo who could never seem to catch a break.

“You’re really pretty when you laugh,” he complimented after a couple of moments of silence, a light pink dusting of blush spread over his cheeks. “Like really really pretty.”

Your stomach buzzed a little at his compliment, causing you to turn away as you felt your face heat up a bit, not used to getting called pretty out of the blue. Even more embarrassed because you had been flirting with the man with no shame whilst your brother was there but now that he was gone…

“This isn’t the alcohol talking,” he whispered moving a bit closer. “But I think I really like you. And I’m not just saying that for shits and giggles either. I mean it. I think I may have somehow started liking you before I even met you just listening to your brother talk about you.”

Your breath faltered for a split second before a smile graced your face, “I’d laugh and say that’s not possible but then I’d be lying to myself.”

Without missing a beat the two of you continued flirting managing to sneak a few pecks here and there before your brother came back, only to catch the two of you in a rather compromised situation.

“I THOUGHT I SAID GET A ROOM!”

I just finished watching the kdrama 18 Again, and I’m crying. Let’s just take a moment to appreciate everything that our parents are doing/ have ever done for us. Let’s just put down our devices and sit down with our loved ones and just appreciate the fact that they are doing a good job carrying the burdens of life against the strong currents of challenges.

Week 3 Connecting practice with Society

We are members of a social community, but as intellectual beings with different thoughts and beliefs, we often encounter various conflicts, ranging from minor disagreements to issues like noise disturbances, fraud, and invasions of privacy. In our class group, we created a video on the topic of privacy invasion. Although the video portrayed an ordinary person stalking a celebrity, invasion of privacy is something that frequently occurs in our lives. It extends beyond physical privacy breaches and includes the leakage of personal information on social media and the internet. Furthermore, as technology advances, new developments bring about new problems and conflicts.

Especially recently, the most prominent issue, COVID-19, has caused not only a simple health problem but also various issues such as depression referred to as "corona blue" and economic downturns. However, what I want to discuss now is the issue of environmental pollution caused by the increased demand for masks due to COVID-19. As you may know, masks are disposable, and due to contamination concerns. Therefore, the vast number of masks in use raises concerns about environmental pollution. Nevertheless, there is a creative solution to this problem. A furniture design student named Kim Ha-neul melted down the plastic components of mask filters and used them to create chairs, effectively recycling them.

As a designer, I should not just be conscious societal issues as simple problems but should recognize them as collaborative opportunities. Therefore, I think it's even more crucial to engage with society, seek solutions, and work towards problem-solving.

• Jinsung is scared to the point of turning off the bathroom light and running to his room.

• Haneul has a Twitter account where she talks about her day to day life and talks about school and the two Hyungsuk's.

• Jin Hobin writes a lot of sentimental raps to let off steam and relax.

• Jang Hyun's hair is totally sensitized and broken.

•Seong Eun was very embarrassed when he got the butt tattoos.

•Manduk collects Hello Kitty stuff in secret, only Eugene knows about it.

•Gun and Goo are constantly fighting over exclusive designer clothing.

•Xiao Long uses rice water to grow hair.

•Ryuhei pays a lot of attention to the people around him, even being able to understand a lot about them, but he prefers to act annoyingly.
