After seeing Morpheus art in nightmare form
and in cat form
I thought "what if there is a nightmare mewrpheus?" so i did
Different of our classic mew mew, this nightmare cat is very skinny and has dilated eyes and a bizarre smile
this nightmare is assigned to humans who mistreat their subjects (he is the king of cats after all) he torments dreams by staring and chasing anyone who has harmed any cat, including tormenting the owner of the siamese for a long time

October Daye:
"Why did I let you people outnumber me?” I demanded. I turned, starting to walk in the direction Tybalt had been trying to push me. I kept my chin high, trying to show that I was choosing to walk this way.
“Because somewhere in that lovely skull of yours is a glimmer of self-preservation, fighting against all odds to remain intact and keep the rest of you breathing,” said Tybalt, hurrying to keep up. He still didn’t take his hand off my arm.

Don’t mind me, I’m just building a veritable castle of headcanons in my wip, including (but not limited to) the hc that Dream was the one who taught cats how to purr

You saw a dead cat on the way to work this morning.
It lay crumpled in the road by your bus stop, yellow eyes staring accusingly at you. At first you thought it was a fox – then you got close enough to realise that the red in its fur was blood. You stared down at it for a long time, the delicate, tiny curve of its skull, its open mouth, reaching paw. The flattened mess of its body that you tried not to look to closely at. It had been alive, for a time. Now it was not. That was all.
A robin, perched on the red plastic bus-stop bench, met your eye. It ruffled its wings and cocked its head.
“Tom Tildrum is dead,” it said, clear as a church bell. And with a flick of its tail, the robin sprung into the air and disappeared.
You stared at the place it had been for a long time, and then looked round to see if anyone else had heard, but the early morning was crisp and empty.

TWO OCTOBER DAYE BOOKS
Seanan McGuire announced on Twitter that they would be two books in Toby’s world coming out this fall. The expected one in September and a second (extra cool surprise!!) in October.
So yeah, it's a two-book year, with SLEEP NO MORE, narrated by Toby as normal on September 9th, and THE INNOCENT SLEEP, narrated by Tybalt, following on October 24th. The books cover roughly the same time period, but are very different stories.
The summary for Sleep No More is also available (this part can be considered spoilers)
Now please excuse me while I do a happy dance for the rest of the week. I can’t wait for this fall!!
