Hello! First post, as shown in a leopardstar fanatic mainly due to the fact that I’m reading her super novella. I’m trying to reignite the warrior cat fandom. I’ll be making a warrior cat forums page with more updates and questions, link will be posted soon!

Honestly, I sympathize with her, and I feel as if people are to harsh and to quick to judge her as a villain. Yes, she’s made bad decisions, but after reading her book it’s safe to say I understand why.

Spoiler warning:!

Her father had high hopes for her due to the loss of his mate and kits, what was expected out of her siblings future was pushed onto such a tiny kit during critical period were words were facts. The entirety of the books (or at least half of it) is based on wanting to appease her father Mudfur. If you look deeply into why she pushed her love for Frogleap aside you’ll note she wanted to meet her assumed expectations set by her father. But going past that, she grew up with death, starting with having no mother or siblings and believing it was her fault they died (no thanks to skykit). Her father was her only chance of family and reliance, and later as she grew up her best friend Sunfish died which of course left her devistated but brought Lepoardfur and Whiteclaw closer together. I honestly adore their dynamic, they are my favorite duo (mother and son) in the entire saga. And you can see how close they are, even though they aren’t blood related they love each other beyond life and death which ultimately breaks my heart. After the death of her best friend and promise to protect him the day before her death, she also grows close to Frogleap who she ultimately has to push aside to chase after being leader of the clan. And not only does he move on quickly with another queen but has kits within the moon they’re broken up in. She loves Frogleap, even after the river incident she declares she loves him.

But getting back on track, she looses sunfish and looses her mate. Up until this point she’s been surrounded by death, and reading TPB I never looked deeply into Lepoardstar (also due to how young I was) and why what happened next was such a big deal to her. But as Fireheart and Greystripe invade Riverclan territory, whiteclaw charges ahead of the patrol and graystripe accidentally pushes him down a cliff and into the water.

Reading this genuinely made my heart break. Lepoardfur was beyond a mother and had love stronger than a mother could ever had. This was her kid, not through blood but through love. And the chapters post white claws death are heart wrenching. I couldn’t bring myself to read for days because I broke down in tears. I never expected him to die, I thought her mentors death happened at the gorge, not his. And it beyond pained me to read it. There’s no death sadder than his, and her reaction is all the more worse.

But continuing. After she begins to slowly process grief, the love of her life ends up being killed as well. She has to comfort his mate through it though and has to tell their kids what happened.

I genuinely have had to cease reading since it’s to heartbreaking.

Pre reading this book and just reading the series made me despise leopardstar, but now reading her novella, I beyond resonate with her. She’s genuinely the stronger warrior and most loving out of any cat, and her book made me hate silverstream and greystripe.

Of course it was greystripes fault he died, but the death still happened. And that patrol was meant for him to admit his feelings for silverstream while she was sneaking behind the clans back to meet with his murderer.

I admire lepoardstar with everything and love her. Reading lepoardstars hope is one of them best books I’ve ever read and highly suggest any warrior cat fan, even if you’re older and haven’t touched the books, to read it.

I wish we would have gotten to see Mistystar and Mothwing talk abt being halfclan feelings abt their parents more

I haven’t read the Manga or all the novella but I would have loved for a sit down where Mistyfoot was like yeah, “Lepoardstar had a crush on your dad and she allowed my brother to be killed that’s why I’m deputy bc she feels guilty”.

And mothwing is just like????? 0_0

It would have been interesting if with that knowledge Mothwing had killed Leopardstar and was like “you’d didn’t hear that Hawkfrost is in the dark forest? He’s training cats to fight under Tigerstar and Lepoardstar wanted to join their ranks. Maybe she died while training in the dark forest, maybe they killed her for abandoning the cause and making halfclan cats her deputy and medic cat, I couldn’t say what my brother is capable of in the Dark Forest.”Ivypool could cooperate the story of Antpelts death.

Plus it would make for a way more interesting dynamic between Mistystar and Mothwing at the end of Broken code where Mistystar is worried it will be exposed her med cat killed the previous leader and after the imposter is revealed. I haven’t read the next arch but what a premise of both the leader and medic cat having killed a former leader and starclan not wanting to give any leader new lives that’s why it’s called the starless clan!!!!!

Ok in your saccharine tithes au where does leopardstar come from exactly? If mudfur was always meant to be a seer and came from windclan.

you know, i haven't decided.

i think it's possible mudfur is still her sire, but she wouldn't know him as a father anyway.

her mother could still be brightsky, and an orphaned kit would be raised by the clan and absolutely spoiled.

i know this isn't a super satisfying answer, but frankly, a queen who dies with no obvious mate can't really reveal the father of her kits, and since she never has kits, i don't have to worry about that causing any problems.

uhhh kind of a weird ask atm, but how do u feel about mudfur/brightsky? i thought their relationship was kind of sad in crookedstars promise and kind of helped make lepoardstar one of my favorite characters unintentionally.

i mean we don’t know anything about them

i love mudfur’s medicine cat dynamic with having a mate and child before he became a medicine cat and i love him being leopardstar’s dad

so i guess they’re good, i don’t really remember anything about them

Thinking about leafpool x hawkfrost au I made up in my head at work and how interesting it could be.

Like hawkfrost kills mistyfoot on the way to lake and makes it look like an accident. He becomes deputy of riverclan and tigerstar encourages him to help brambleclaw get to be deputy as well. So since his sister is friends with leafpool he starts to befriend her as well just so he can like get insider info or whatever. However along the way they fall in love with each other. This causes a rift between squirrel and leaf tho cause squrriel doesn't trust hawkfrost. Leafs relationship with her sister remains strained for the rest of the tnp. When she receives the two cats intertwined prophecy she misinterprets it as meaning both her and hawkfrost. Which leads leafpool to lean on hawkfrost more. He entices her with his charisma and charming personality. Leafpool in turn gives him a shoulder to lean on and encourages his better tendencies. However tigerstar is still pulling hawkfrost down a dark path. Hawkfrost poisons lepoardstar killing her and then he becomes hawkstar. Around this time leaf realizes she's pregnant and when she goes to tell him she finds hawkstar with firestar who is caught in the fox trap. He tells her that this is the only way they can be together because with firestar dead brambleclaw would be leader and then the two brothers could merge the clans. Leafpool refuses and frees her father and tells hawkstar to leave and that they are done. Hawk leaves unable to hurt her. Firestar swears to not tell anybody about what happened as he wants to protect his daughter for the clans ire for her relationship. Leaf then turns to squirrel who ends with ashfur instead of bramble because of the lack of reassurance that she and bramble should be together. Squirrel happily takes in the three as normal, but lionblaze is a tiger clone. This leads to gossip in thunderclan that the litter actually belongs to bramble and not ash. While this is happening and the kits are growing up hawk is still working to take over the clans. He poisons windclans rabbits leading to a food shortage/ starvation as they no longer have their main food source. Hawk then forces them to join with river clan in order to save them. The clans merge into a single clan much to thunder and shadows worry. Then the fire scene happens but instead it's brambleclaw demanding to know if the rumors are true and if the three are his. Squirrel confesses to the secret and the three work to find out who their parents are. Once they find out that hawk and leaf are their parents they meet with hawk and tell him the truth. Lion goes to live with him while holly and Jay stay back. Moth gets in contact with Jay and tells him that hawk killed leopardstar and she hasn't been able to tell anybody because of the leverage he has in the clan and because she doesn't believe in starclan and that he wants to take over all the clans. Jay and holly become determined to stop him. Meanwhile life in hawk clan gets bad as hawk forces his clan to worship and work with the dark forest. Lion blaze goes back to thunderclan and the siblings team up. Hawk puts together a gathering demanding that shadow and thunder join him or die. That's when holly spills the beans about their birth breaking down hawks clan mates trust and loyalty to him. Moth then steps forward and reveals the truth about lepoardstars death. Hawks clan starts to fall apart and he snaps and kills moth before saying that the cats either join with him or perish. This leads to a battle between the clans and hawkstar and his remaining loyalists and the dark forest. The clans defeat hawkstar and the three make peace with their heritage stuff. So yeah there's more kinks I wanna work out to this like whether or no bramble is evil and what not. But a fun au I might write this after I'm done with shattered stars and consequences of the stars.

Could you Imagine being Mistystar and you show up to cat heaven and learn they let in war criminals before they made an exception for a mother???? Literally, they let in Blackstar and Lepoardstar after killing people but heaven forbid you give birth to someone??? Like?!?!

I definitely think Mistystar chased Blackstar and Lepoardstar out of Starclan like her mom did with Thistleclaw

Would have loved to see Yellow fang advocating for Leafpool seeing as she also had children??? Like sure they were not half clan but Yellowfang of all people saw her child become a brutal leader who killed his father and she later poisoned him??!

Also if Mudfur saw how much Mothwing and Leafpool were in love don’t you think he could have spoken up about changing the rules because he was a warrior that became a medic cat? He saw his daughter Lepoardstar fall for Tigerstar only to execute half clan cats. Which is like,, even if they were in Tigerclan would they not been seen as half clan relationship?

So yeah Yellowfang and Mudfur would have been great figures to dissolve the half clan relationship rule, and talk about having children!!

Mistystar while getting a backstage pass to Starclan Should have picked Lepoardstar up the scruff and taken her to the Darkforest

Also I think it would be great if all the kits from the clans had to meet with the elders of each clan and hear history pass down the next generations

and we know Greystripe is just like idk a lot happened I got kidnapped after my first wife died now we are having ghostwar 2.0 but Firestar and I did rescue some of the Elders still alive today like BrightHeart

Bightheart is very concerned about how halfclan cats are treated and talks a lot about how Tigerstar and Swiftpaw, Cinderpelt, and how leaders can make the wrong choice

Meanwhile Mistystar is like when I was a kit the med cat told me to lick oil slicks for when I was ill. Okay let me tell you about Crookedstar, My Mom Bluestar, and How Lepoardstar let my brother get killed and hawkfrost's crimes

She later cited as reigniting hostility between Riverclan adn Thunderclan after asserting sunningrocks always belonged to Riverclan and thnderclan ceding them when leaving made them officially part Riverclan territoty and should passed down into history that sunningrocks did lastly belong to Riverclan

I think of course all of Bluestars family + Crookedstars is yelling at Mistystar about accepting Mothwing and everyone back

But omg what did Bluestar say to Lepoardstar???? Like you allowed my son to be murdered and almost my brother-in-law’s grandchildren??? Omg did Mud say???
