“Write down! I am an Arab You have stolen the orchards of my ancestors And the land which I cultivated Along with my children And you left nothing for us Except for these rocks … So will the State take them As it has been said?!” – Identity card, Mahmoud Darwish

One Piece is crazy good this week. Sorry if this is a downer.
I found the pacing odd. I suspect we were supposed to get the happy ending next chapter, but... well...
Either the editors wanted him to tone down the graphic genocide, or Oda may have decided to reformat because of Gaza. I have no proof, obviously, but 1096 hits different if you read it as advice. There are sure to be Palestinian One Piece Fans after all. One Piece has global popularity.
Every survivor is a win. Don't believe their mercy. Focus on surviving. Do what is in your power to save others. If you survive there is hope afterwards. You can rebuild your life, from nothing if necessary. Big News Morgans is a Hack who will only report the heroism.
One Piece is a kid's show.
I think I need a drink.
You are right. You are so right.
Reading One Piece these last two weeks, in the light of the latest events in Gaza, felt like a punch in the guts. More than usual.
One Piece was crazy good this week. The pacing felt a bit odd. Morgans is a hack. A massacre happened. But there's hope. There's always hope.
Idk if Oda did it on purpose. Idk if people in Palestine could have read that chapter with the horrors going on.
But I am glad that chapter ended the way it did. Because what else can we hope for if not dreams of liberation.

You can’t make this shit up you click on an article about how hamas hostages were treated (for the sake of checking yourself on bias and with the intention to verify it with multiple sources) and the headline will be « return from the horrors of hamas » and then the text is actually « they treated me rather well just didn’t have much food and i was in danger due to Israeli airstrikes” You know the shit the government claims necessary to rescue them. This world is bullshit

Inspired by this post by @alex-just-vibing. PaliRev values the contribution of all people to the liberation of Palestine, and we encourage you to share this around your schools or with others to give accessible options for us all to show solidarity for the Palestinian people.
[image id: an image with a white background, bordered on the bottom left and top right with green, corner illustrations, an olive garden branch drawing on the bottom right, and a drawing of a boy sitting down with a backpack leaning on him, looking downwards sadly on the top right. there is a low opacity palestinian flag behind black text reading "HOW DO I SUPPORT PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE IF I CAN'T DONATE?" below this is a list in smaller black text, bulleted with light green arrows. the list reads:
"- Wear shirts, pins, keffiyehs, anything outwardly pro Palestine.
Email your Representatives, Congress, White House. Tell the people in charge you want a ceasefire.
Talk to your local library about holding an educational night about the genocide and/or Palestinian culture.
Make schoolwork about Palestine! Writing about news? Focus on Palestine. Making questions for a test? Use Palestine as an example.
Find social media accounts for your representatives and schools, and make a fuss. Comment and @ them!
Show up to local actions (i.e. protests), join and organization, and follow Palestinian journalists! (next line) - Motaz Azaiza, Plestia Alaqad, Hind Khoudary, Bisan Owda -
Educate yourself on anti-Palestine talking points (Palestine toolkit) and how to refute them in a calm manner.
Speak up! It's scary, but don't let other people's bigotry go unchecked. You'll find that other people agree, and speak up from your example.
Don't engage with people unwilling to learn. Your goal is to educate people who are and make those comfortable with genocide feel UNCOMFORTABLE."
below this in light grey text reads "@PALIREV.WEB". /end id.]

🇵🇸 From BDS:
This year’s Israeli Apartheid Week will be the most important since IAW was launched 20 years ago! With the ongoing Nakba at its height, Israel is carrying out the world’s first ever live-streamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza while it continues to entrench its 75-year-old settler-colonial apartheid regime against all Indigenous Palestinians. Over the past few months, people around the world have carried out inspiring actions building people power to end state, corporate and institutional complicity in Israel’s #GazaGenocide and contribute to the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice, and equality. With the failure of the international system, under US and Western hegemony, on full display, we will organize IAW throughout the month of March to bring justice from below. Save the date - March 1st - March 30th; an entire month of action and BDS mobilizations to end complicity in genocide, build grassroots power towards liberation and the dismantling of Israel’s settler-colonial apartheid regime. Let’s make this year’s IAW our most impactful ever!
In anticipation of the upcoming Israeli Apartheid Week, BDS has called for an escalation of our boycott campaigns.
To find out how you can join a specific BDS campaign, or how you can contribute towards IAW, you can use the search function on their website to find a BDS-affiliated organization in your country.
Tumblr media
If you and your organization have an event planned for Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), you can register them with BDS here.
🇵🇸 For individuals unaffiliated with an org, you can still support and participate in IAW by:
Boycotting all products from Israel and from companies profiting off the occupation of Palestine. Here are the official BDS targets. For a more extensive list of products, check in with one of the BDS affiliated organizations in your country (they might tell you, for instance, what processed food items at your local grocery store should be avoided).
Share information about BDS on social media, with friends and family, and with your local community.
For BDS targeted brands, refrain from making or sharing any content that helps that company's outreach and branding. No more memes mentioning the brand, no pictures showing their logo, no more free advertising. Boycotting here isn't just about the loss you as a costumer can inflict on the company by not purchasing their product, it's also about damaging the brand's reputation, and limiting their customer outreach.
I highly encourage you to join a BDS-affiliated org, but if for whatever reason you can't, then these are concrete and actionable steps you can take.
Again, for more information about BDS and Israeli Apartheid Week, you check in with the official BDS website.

Before I start this post: let me make it clear that on the political spectrum, for the most part, I would say I’m a leftist. Given everything that’s been going on recently, I support Palestine’s people and the country’s right to exist. Unfollow me right now, I don’t care, but I will say something that’s extremely contrary to what 90% of this website believes. Palestine is not going through a genocide. Yes, they are oppressed, but Israel isn’t oppressing the Palestinian people, Hamas is. And here’s my really, REALLY, spicy take. Israel has the right to exist as an independent nation. When you say Israel is committing genocide, you are perpetuating anti-semitism. “But anti-Zionism and anti-semitism are two different things!”. Yes, I believe Israel should not expand its territory and give back some of the disputed areas to Palestine, but Zionism is defined as “the right for Jews to have a homeland”. If you say “from the river to the sea, Palestine should be free”, you basically want Israel to be destroyed. And who lives in Israel? The most oppressed group in human history. By saying that, you don’t want Jews to have a place to live, and denying Jews the right to living their lives is textbook anti-semitism. “But Israel is committing genocide!”. So that somehow justifies Israel ceasing to exist, along with everyone who lives in it? You are wishing for genocide, the thing you’re claiming to be protecting Palestinians from. If liberals are supposed to be peace-loving, then why is your idea of freeing Palestine essentially threatening the peace of another country?

#this is getting a lil terrifying#like let me start by saying that of course i dont support israel disproportionally slaughtering civilians like that is insane#yes we can all agree that the 'retaliation' was taken 10000000 steps further and it's genocide at this point#but the amount of people that im seeing getting entirely too comfortable with being openly anti semitic and just generally being assholes#using the EXCUSE of being pro palestine is terrifying beside being an insult to palestinian people who are suffering#like are you really using the pain and trauma of this population to make yourself feel morally superior online#by using big words and making wild assumptions with the worst in mind about people who aren't echo-chamber-ing the same thoughts as you?#attacking strangers in a racist tone or using queerphobic attacks on them?#i'll say it again: too many people are getting comfortable using a valid cause as an excuse to be violent and aggressive dicks#all while saying that they're liberals and that they're doing this from their pov of seeking justice#yall are forgetting the socialism part of nationalsozialistiche you fucking assholes#im seeying too many people acting like theyre in the fucking hungergames and 99% are white americans im so sorry#you can and should be pro palestine without being a massive dick who is unable to interact with others in a civilised way#my god get off the internet and got talk and debate with other humans face to face#mine#text#opening fandom social media got unbearable#newsflash just bc someone has not been as blindly outspoken as you about the exact issue that you care about#in the specific way that you talk about it#does not mean that thy are a BAD PERSON do you all realise how stupid it is to LABEL SOMEONE A BAD PERSON#JUST BC THEY DIDNT ECHO YOUR THOUGHTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA#can we go back to calling people bad only after theyve ACTUALLY DONE SOMETHING GENUINELY BAD

There's something so satisfying about responding to a misinformed claim that you recognize as being part of a pipeline and that person actually understanding your response and changes up their belief to incorporate the new information
It doesn't happen very often but there's one person I follow who's capable of very respectful discourse but is very prone to misinformation and I do believe I've saved her from multiple pipelines
Also, my Mom showed me a Prager U video about how civilian casualties in war is justified actually and you shouldn't worry about killing civilians at all and I was able to explain to her how that video was actually bullshit and definitely part of a pipeline that justifies dehumanizing and killing more and more people and at the end she took it off her facebook wall

In ASL and SSL, this is the gesture for "Inshallah," which means means "God willing"; it's used to express hope that a specific future event will come to pass.
In a few hours, a temporary ceasefire or "humanitarian pause" is going to start
Shortly after posting this, the "pause" began—and the IOF immediately broke it by opening fire on Palestinians returning to their homes in northern Gaza.
A true, permanent ceasefire is one of the most urgent demands, but WHEN a ceasefire is declared, nobody gets to pat themselves on the back.
And end to the violence can't mean a return to business as usual, where the occupation and apartheid continue and Palestinians are still getting displaced on their own land.
israel must be abolished. They, the US, Canada, the EU, must be made to pay reparations.
Inshallah, we will not stop at a ceasefire
Inshallah, we will see complete liberation for Palestine
🇵🇸 Things you can do below 🇵🇸
🍉 SHARE posts from Palestinians, especially journalists on the ground (copy link on IG works just as well as sharing?). They're literally dying for that footage 🙃 let's make sure it counts
🍉 DONATE an E-sim @connectinghumanity_ on IG
🍉 DONATE to @CareForGaza (Twitter; donation links should be on their profile too). A lot of donation drives are just... making a grab at clout but this one is legit; a number of Gazans confirm that the food/produce is getting to them. The organizer seems to be Palestinian and living there as well
🍉 BOYCOTT brands listed by @bdsnationalcommittee on IG
Official boycott targets: AXA, Puma, Carrefour, Siemens, Ahava, HP, Sodastream, any products from Israel
Organic boycott targets: Domino's, McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Wix
🍉 PRESSURE your governments & officials to call for a ceasefire and #InvokeGenocideConvention at the ICJ (rootsaction.org)
🍉 PROTEST. If there are mobilizations in your area, show up to be part of the count. No heroics—do what you feel safe doing and listen to the organizers.
.
.
.
.
.
it was also important to me to include an Al-Qassam fighter in this, because they're often scapegoated by Western media, and also by well-meaning allies who say "but civilians are not Hamas"; there's this attempt to separate militant resistance from the process of liberation as a whole
Yeah, most civilians are not Hamas, but they don't denounce them either. Palestinians call them freedom fighters, protectors.
because the resistance is not a bunch of evil, violent outliers; they are as much victims of the occupation as the women, children, and non-combatants are. Most if not all of them were born under the occupation; a good percentage of them are also orphans.
I will never condemn boys who live along the coast but have never seen the sea.

Just as a reminder as I've just noticed myself - arab.org has more pages to support on
In case you're unfamiliar with how this site works, it confirms ad revenue via your clicks, which allows them to donate money to various funds
These go to:
Children -> UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund)
Fight Poverty -> UNDP (United Nations Development Programme)
Environment -> Greenpeace MENA (Middle East and North Africa)
Palestine -> UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency [for Palestine Refugees in the Near East])
Refugees -> UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees)
Women -> UN Women
Do more with your daily clicks! You can help each one once per individual (perhaps per IP address?) per day, letting you help out with six things at once?
US-specific advice for helping Palestine below cut.
Side note I'm keeping beneath the cut since it's relevant to US folks only: if you're really determined to help Palestine, vote for Dr. Cornel West, Ph.D. for President of the United States.
He's the most openly vocal about a free Palestine and is the only candidate who has demonstrably shown he is the most committed and prepared to immediately cease US support to Israel.
Joe Biden isn't going to cave if he gets re-elected. We all know that. Voting third party is a lot less risky than you've been taught - the two party system can replace one or both parties with new parties if they lose public favour.
We have both the people and the ability to unseat the Democratic party and install Socialism, and between Socialism and Republicans, Socialism is going to lock in place immediately and become the dominant political force in America.
Cornel West's Platform
Cornel West's Volunteer Events
Cornel West's Ballot Access Tracker and Ballot Access Plans
Tumblr thread I have of Primary/Caucus polling dates in the US (includes US territories)
Not on your Primary/Caucus ballot? Write-in, "Cornel West," on your ballot, or urge your Caucus representatives to do the same.
In a state where it's difficult for Independent candidates to get ballot access? Dr. Cornel West, Ph.D. thought ahead and has created a new party for those states called the Justice for All Party.
(Addendum: Claudia de la Cruz is not a viable alternative. The Party for Socialism and Liberation has a Conservative 5th Column and has frequent issues with discrimination.)
Free Palestine. Vote for Cornel West.

Hey, don't you find it fucking TERRIFYING that people in other countries also have to fear the results of the U.S. election, because the most popular Republican and Democratic candidates are both pure fuck evil, tyrannical genocial monsters with no remorse? But yeah sure "Biden is a great guy, let's just IGNORE that he can bypass Congress to kill Palestinian women, men, children, elders, etc, and not to codify Roe V. Wade! We swear he's actually fairly liberal!" No Biden is a fucking monster, a remorseless demon. He has no intent of ceasing aid to Israel until Palestine, and anyone else that Israel deems a threat, is gone. Get that through your thick fucking skull, bludgeon it in if you must, Biden is not a great guy, nor a "lesser of two evils," he's TREMENDOUSLY evil, he's just nice about it.
EDIT: THIS POST IS NOT MEANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DOOMERISMS OF "NO GOOD CANDIDATE!!!" This post was a vent first and foremost! There are other candidates we can push to the primaries, not just Biden!

Palestinians are still alive! Not all hope is lost despite the brutality that already has happened and we cannot in any circumstance allow it to continue! We have to keep fighting!
The Israeli and Western media want you to feel helpless. Even as more "liberal" news sources like the New York Times begin to realize that they cannot wholly convince us that Israel is right, they cherry-pick their stories to manipulate consumers and make us feel removed from the brutality Palestinians are still being subjected to every day. They want us to feel like we have no power. They want us to think that this is over, and there is nothing more we can do. It is not over! We still have power and we need to use it!
I don't care if you are on the scene providing aid, you are donating from across the world, or you just wake up every morning and pray that the Palestinian people have seen another day. But you have to keep doing it. Israel is trying to wipe Palestine off the map, and we cannot fucking let them.
DO NOT GIVE UP! FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, PALESTINE WILL BE FREE!
