my favourite thing about the always sunny podcast is listening to rcg all say something extremely neurodivergent and then agree amongst themselves and convince themselves its completely normal

#and to be clear im not diagnosing them charlie said he wasn't neurotypical #like deadass i think. the reason some of their writers just completely botch the gang's motivations/dialogue sometimes is bc at their core #these characters are all. SO autistic. which inevitably leads to them being misunderstood by others outside their group #whether rcg realizes it or not they inject this very specific vibe of neurodivergence into the gang #and its why they will just. argue over inconsequential details bc they Need to be understood completely #they can't just drop it unless they are crystal fucking clear #imo the biggest mistake other writers make is thinking that the gang is completely desensitized when its more like #they just don't react the way you would expect #which is often... adjacent to that but still distinct. and its trauma that influences this as well #the gang does not believe they themselves are 'bad people'. theyre most often oblivious to the fact that the things they do are insane #rob saying he doesnt pick up on social cues and then going on to argue in circles with glenn #i dont think last week was anything crazy but i think. rob doesn't know when to let up. which is a problem that *i* have #and while it comes across as being confrontational in an 'im right youre wrong' way i dont think its driven by ego here #just like with how as they said mac and dennis are making up while chucking bread rolls at each other #on both sides its frustration at being misunderstood #but they are all similar enough that even if they disagree over small details theyre usually on the same page. and this can be beneficial!! #thats the conclusion of the ep!!!! whether its suggesting smoking to cancel out the toxic apple skin or suggesting words u cant think of #glenn said he was upset about feeling misrepresented and picked on #dennis gets angry for those exact reasons in.... ALL of his big rage scenes #its frustration that leads to anger because youre speaking to (another) brick wall and you can't adequately explain yourself #which. glenn is clearly more competent than dennis & i think a lot of the time in sunny the gang is WAY more obtuse for the sake of comedy #but its interesting to watch the dynamic because as charlie said last week #they are mac and dennis (especially when theyre fighting) #i just think.. they are in a semi-unique position to understand this because this is how they are. while several other writers do not get i #ada speaks #untagged

The MTT touching Error was not coincidental(I just couldn't resist like Error can't be excluded)

But but what if in the rizz tl Error gets a happy ending- with the help of Epic and Horror(maybe someone else like Ink or sum(def not the Dreamtale bros)) Error learns the better ways and becomes a better person(true love 💕)

Horror is probably the one most around Error- Dust would be a good listener but he's prob quiet and a lil distant and Killer is,,, busy with Nightmare(and maybe Dream)

Had to search up Hans' motivations bc he was such a minor character that I genuinely forgot everything about him(except a random moment in that one song he had with Anna) and honestly? It makes the idea even better(but I'm not going deeper into this bc lore and stuff isn't my thing-(liar liar pants on fire))

it's so fascinating to me that we go so little of menelaus in the iliad (arguably the OG text that you find him in [okay, i suppose he's more in the odyssey, but even then it's limited]) and from ancient to modern times his portrayal can go so many ways. and they're all so different. how do we get such varying degrees of man from the same limited source?

Look who took the advice from my previous post! Kori managed to break through the back window of the abandoned house in the middle of the night. Not suspicious at all. Then realized she still has school in the morning despite everything. She plops down on the kitchen floor that looks like it hasn't been stepped on since 1994 and does what she can of her homework. With 50% of it done and the will of the watcher, she catches her school bus and is off! Look at her being studious! (She's listening to Loveless and doodling in her notebook.)

"He carefully plucks the egg from the gift pile, wrapping it in spare fabric and tucking it away inside a small wooden box within his backpack for safety. Not really wanting to stick around and get accidentally pulled into scary underground tunnels or something, he shakily bids the Well Creature farewell, and continues on through the forest, just following whatever he can find that looks vaguely like a path.. He makes an occasional stop to pick up a cool rock, harvest berries, or let the cat play in the grass, but mostly just wanders aimlessly, lost in daydreams and contemplations of how his New Fun Life Of Spontaneous Adventure is going so far......

Eventually, the forest tapers off into a more open area of land, hosting what seems like a humble little village. By this point, it's nearly nightfall, which reminds him that he's actually quite afraid of the dark, so he scrambles about town for a moment until finally finding the local Inn. After nervously stumbling inside, he rents the cheapest room available, then sits alone, snacking on some free leftover food scraps and plain water. It's been a tiring day, but in the spirit of becoming an adventurer and pushing himself to have as many experiences as possible, he figures he could hang around downstairs a little longer, perhaps get one more thing done before bed -- What should he do?"

He wants to get out and try. He doesnt' actually know much what being an adventurer entails but he still wants to #go and adventure and see the world. leave whatever his old life was behind and just let himself be led by whatever paths happen #to present themselves to him - in the hopes that at some point along the way he'll end up with something fulfilling or know #where he actually belongs. blah blah generic adventuring stuff. so on and so forth. He can't have too specific of motivations really #just by the nature of everything he does being randomly voted on lol. So just 'generally seeking to be on a journey' works. #I wonder if that's the fantasy world version of a mid-life crisis. People reach a certain age and are just like 'I'm going to leave #my village and wander around and see what happens!!' and sometimes it works out and they become a famous #cartographer or a well known knight or work their way into a job in castle or etc. etc. and then others just return home after #like a week or something with no money and a broken arm lol #ANYWAY #I wanted to have so many options since an Inn is a good place where many branching paths could come from like. there could be such a #variety of people to talk to and things you could do there. but I'm still trying to limit it to 6 or less options each time #I wanted to have a second mysterious hooded figure described as trying very hard to look much more mysterious than #the first hooded figure but there isn't room for that with the text limits lol. but I thought it would be funny with like.. the fantasy #trope of there always being some shadowy guy in a corner in a tavern or something. but then you look and there's another even more shadowy #guy. then you look in the next corner and there's an even MORE shadowy guy. and sometimes they all stare at each other from #across the room. one of them pulls their hood down a bit and the other does it and they keep doing it until their faces are so covered they #cant see anymore. etc. etc. ANYWYA Ghbjhb #yeah! day 5!
