Just had a funny thought.
So we know Toji's appearance and murder of Riko was unexpected for everyone. (2006, 12 years ago)
Tumblr media
Besides the TVA and Q, it didn't look like anyone else was going for Amanai. So, Kenjaku was probably going to wait another 500 years before their plan was going to start.
At this point they'd already gotten Kaori Itadori's Antigravity System and given birth to Yuji, though, which is interesting. (2003, 15 years ago) So, maybe Yuuji really wasn't initially meant to serve a greater purpose. Housing of Sukuna or otherwise... Or maybe Yuji was a happy coincidental prototype? An experimental run through? Or maybe Yuuji is just singularly unique.
Tumblr media
Anyway, what I thought was funny is that after Toji killed Amanai, Kenjaku was probably sweating and rushing to find the Prison Realm. (2012, 6 years ago) Like, "Holy shit I've gotta take advantage of this opportunity! 💦"
Tumblr media
But yeah, it probably moved up their plans by A LOT.
And then you got Geto with his Cursed Manipulation. He has a falling out with Gojo, then Gojo kills him and leaves his body ripe for the picking. (2017, 1 year ago) And since the merger didn't happen, Tengen is more Curse than human, it's like, everything perfectly fell into place.
Actually, sure Toji fucked up a lot of shit for everyone in the current timeline, but you can also see it as a good thing. This specific group of individuals (Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori) wouldn't be around in 500 years to disrupt Kenjaku's plans otherwise.
Tumblr media
The Star Plasma Vessel, Six Eyes, and Tengen are fated. Fate is a tangible concept that exists in JJK. Which throws Toji's role in an interesting light...
Tumblr media
Kenjaku says Toji's presence destroyed their destinies. But if there is a higher power in JJK... the one who bestows "Heavenly Restriction"... I'd say it's actually the opposite. Toji's actions may've saved the greater human race.
TL;DR Toji Fushiguro's murder of Riko Amanai is part of Heaven's greater plan to counteract Kenjaku's plan.

rather be alive
so, i have thought long and hard about it.
i was going to stop posting here. i was trying to think about where i could move it to, or if i should even continue at all to try and communicate directly like this with y'all. it isn't that i don't enjoy it or that i think something like this is so great that it should be considered a reward... it's not... but it's just that this place, our bloggy community, had become something that i hoped it wouldn't.
not sure if you will agree or disagree but i feel like "paramoremusic" is on the up and up. not really sure where we are at with "paramoreband" but i guess we shall see in time. i'm going to keep posting here. i'm not going to reply to negative comments, so as not to encourage any more stupid people to come in and get some sort of rise out of me... and if i do my part then i hope you all will do your part to encourage more positivity around this place.
the thing that i hope everyone takes away from this direct line we have to you guys is the fact that just because we may have a song on the radio, or sold "this many" records and done "this many" things... we are just the same as we've always been. sure, we've changed. BUT. we are the same 5 people who started the band in 2004. we don't believe any hype that may be written about us... and we all realize that in one single day it could all be gone. what matters is this. the connection. that's what outlives any good write up... it outweighs the number of records sold... it means the most. and that's why i can't let any negative hype that is created right here push me away from keeping this thing going.
so again, do your part and i'll do mine. the guys (if they decide to come in and post haha) will do theirs. CAN WE BE FRIENDS!?

The Intro: Aug. 15, 2019
Hello everyone (and by everyone I mean the 3 people who might actually find and read this one day). Welcome to my snoop bloggy blog (sorry). See, knowing that no one will read this is actually super helpful because I can say stupid shit like snoop bloggy blog and not have to be embarrassed or apologize for it (sorry).
Ok then. Let's get right into it, shall we?. I'm starting this as a way to journal and express thoughts/feelings as I try yet again to make healthier lifestyle changes. I say "yet again" because my life since I was about 12 years old has been a cycle of yo-yo dieting.
I've had some short-term success with different "fad" diets like weight-watchers, Atkins, spark people, the Abs diet, Atkins (again), weight watchers (again), logging calories on myfitnesspal app, Atkins again (again). Each time, I would lose a good amount of weight (sometimes as much as 30-40 lbs) but inevitably, I would struggle to maintain progress and end up gaining it all back again, plus more. This has continued until now, as a 29 year old, I'm once again the heaviest I've ever been, at 310 lbs.
Bottom line is, I'm trying again to fight the good fight. I don't know exactly what method I'm going to use, so the first few weeks or months (or however long it takes), is going to be me experimenting with different things and see what sticks. This can either be the change that finally works for me (the first day of the rest of my life!!!!!!!) or it could be a total disaster, blow up in my face and you'll see me writing a new blog in 5 years about how I'm 400 lbs and starting again. Hopefully the former. My long term vision is to lose 110 lbs. Short term, is getting back to sub-300 pronto...
Anyway, let me explain the title, which I'm sure you're so anxious to understand. You may have heard the phrase "get the monkey off my back". So why an octopus? Well I simply googled "what weighs 110 pounds" and apparently the answer is that an adult north pacific giant octopus does. So there. I want to lose 110 lbs which is like a giant ass octopus on my back. The metaphor actually works quite nicely because octopuses look so sinister. I mean who the fuck would want a big ass octopus attached to their back, dragging them down in life, holding them back from their dreams with their gross ass suction cups and their gooey tentacles. Fuck that dude. Not me. So thus, let's get the octopus off my back then.
Losing that amount would put me under 200 lbs and my maintenance goal from there will simply be to never weigh above 200 lbs ever again. Why? It's an arbitrary number really. But I like that it's a firm line. Never go above 200. Never. It's simple. A line I never want to go back over. And that's that. I may choose to lose even more than that, but this is more than enough to start with I think.
Great,
BMW

More or less done. I'll probably keep picking at this as I usually do. But yeah! Here's as thorough a Jujutsu Kaisen timeline as I can make.
If there's a date/time you can think of that I haven't mentioned here, please let me know!
Some fun things that clicked together or i just found interesting. See the full timeline linked above for all the sources.
Prison Realm likely didn't exist until after this merger happened.
Tumblr media
The previous Six Eyes died due to Mahoraga and the next wouldn't appear until Satoru Gojo.
Tumblr media
Riko and Ijichi would've been the same age if she'd lived.
Tumblr media
Shoko quits smoking the same year she graduated medical school. Makes so much sense.
Tumblr media
Gojo and Megumi were dealing with Tsumiki falling into a coma around the same time Yuta was transferred to Jujutsu Tech.
Tumblr media
The time it took for Sukuna to fight Mahoraga, destroying a good chunk of Shibuya, and return control of Yuji's body back to him is 7 minutes.

I counted 14 mon (crest) designed for the movie.
Tumblr media
With the Inumaki mon, that's 15 that are (kinda~) canon.
Tumblr media
Here are some possible mon designs for the Three Great Families:
Gojo clan
Sugawara no Michizane, who the Gojo are descendants of, doesn't have a mon I can find in particular. Mon didn't really become a thing until the mid-Heian period, but he is associated with the plum blossom mon. They're used for Tenmagu shrines (dedicated to the deification of Michizane) since it's believed he loved plum blossoms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then there's this crest of the real life Gojo clan who are descendants of Michizane. A triple pine tree with branches.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zen'in clan
First, I need to explain why Taira no Masakado is the Three Vengeful Spirit the Zen'in are descendants of. Basically, it stems from the saying, "If you are not from the Zen'in clan, you are not a jujutsu sorcerer. If you are not a jujutsu sorcerer, you are not human." Which is something Nishimiya quotes. That quote is actually based on, "If you are not a Heike, you are not human." The Heike is referring to the Taira clan, which Masakado was a part of. Ok, now that I've got my explanation out of the way...
The swallowtail butterfly is the Taira clan's mon. I like how it even looks a bit like (respectfully) a curse or shikigami. lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kamo clan
That leaves Emperor Sutoku as the last of the Three Great Vengeful Spirits. As Emperor, you'd expect Sutoku's mon to be the Imperial Seal of Japan, a 16-petalled chrysanthemum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But that wasn't adopted until 1183, whereas Sutoku reigned from February 25, 1123–January 5, 1142. I would've been iffy about a family adopting the imperial family's crest during the Heian period anyway. Seems kinda blasphemous. lol. But maybe if it's a modified version of it? Actually, as long as it's not 16-petals, I think it's quite possible to use it as a family crest.

Gege's style of casually dropping terms, phrases, info that becomes important/prominent later: A small collection
Ch 1 Alluding to Maki and her natural strength.
Tumblr media
Ch 6 Cursed Wombs can metamorphosize.
Tumblr media
Ch 6 Domain Expansion. This is like, offensively throwaway considering what we know of Domains later. lol.
Tumblr media
Ch 8 Binding Vow.
Tumblr media
Ch 9 Reverse Cursed Technique
Tumblr media
Ch 9 Jujutsu sorcerers are cogs. I don't think Megumi and Yuji even discussed this before, unless it was a conversation that happened off screen.
Tumblr media
Ch 9 "With this treasure, I summon..." The first of many many many times Megumi teases us with doing something; summoning Mahoraga.
Tumblr media
Ch 11 The Prison Realm. I didn't pay nearly as much attention to this as it derseved at the time.
Tumblr media
Ch 32 Naobita being alluded to, and also Megumi being of the Zen'in bloodline.
Tumblr media
Ch 33 Sorcerers who are killed without using cursed energy can turn into a Curse after death.
Tumblr media
35/40 Simple Domain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
35 Todo's Cursed Technique.
Tumblr media
53 Tengen.
Tumblr media
76 Using Limitless to filter out poisons. This has never actually been brought up again. But I'm waiting.
Tumblr media
77 Turning ordinary people in sorcerers. Forcing evolution. Geto concentrated solely on the whole, "kill all non-sorcerers" angle so it's easy to gloss over and forget this whole other option Yuki was talking about... Until later anyway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ch 85 To use your Cursed Technique, you can't have Domain Amplification turned on. The importance didn't register for me the first time I read it. Or maybe, I misread it? It's easy to misunderstand this as something Hanami specifically couldn't/didn't do.

I'm doing that thing where I obsess and make timelines, and I'm doing that for JJK rn. As I'm calculating everything, I'm finding so much shit that makes sense together. I can't believe it.
Tumblr media
1596 - 1615 Keichō era (422-403 years ago) Head of the Gojo clan with the Limitless and Six Eyes and head of the Zen'in clan with the Ten Shadows Technique, killed each other in front of the aristocracy. Likely, this was the last Six Eyes holder to be born until approx. 400 years later, when Satoru Gojo is born.
Tumblr media
The Gojo family, who passes down the Limitless Cursed Technique, acquired the "Six Eyes" for the first time in approximately 400 years, with the possession of the current head— Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer of the modern era.
Gege you mad lad. This stuff actually FITS together! What the hell!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, the last Six Eyes holder just happened to be the one who fought against a Zen'in's Ten Shadows technique??? So the next one didn't show up for over 400 years!!! And remember Megumi implied that that clan head probably used Mahoraga.
Tumblr media
Chapter 117
Just throwing this out there... that this kind of nonchalant/negligent foreshadowing is so Gege's style. He deliberately obfuscates information and then doesn't bring it up for a dozen chapters (or more, as it is here).
Also, this smells fishy af. Did Kenjaku have something to do with the two Inherited Techniques clashing?! An experiment to see what would happen? I wouldn't be surprised, tbh.

I really like that Yuuji was a well adjusted and popular kid. He's highly athletic with good social skills, high EQ, perceptive, and has an overall good personality. His physical prowess doesn't dictate how he acts or treats others in his daily life.
But then he got in way over his head.
What an unusual shonen hero! He's by far the most normal shonen protagonist I've ever seen. He's not maladjusted, a weirdo, eccentric, gloomy, an idiot, a genius. He doesn't have some grand ideal or dream. He's just. A decent guy.
He's likable and brave and kind. He's not a pushover. He can get annoyed and mad like anyone else, but it's not exaggerated or overblown.
But then life shits on him constantly.
The most "heroic" characteristic you can say of Yuuji is his determination— that he's constantly pushing forward. And even that wasn't especially excessive.
At first, it was because of his positivity; his naivete that let him get past desperate situation after situation. Until it got to the point where even he couldn't ignore the unrelenting traumatic horror his life's become. Then, it's because this is life. This is it. What else is there to do but live? (The alternative is to stop. And it's not like that option wasn't constantly hovering over him anyway.)
Tumblr media
Resigned? Kind of. Acceptance... may be closer. He went from optimist to realist. His realization that he's a cog in the machine... it's based on the fact he was that normal guy.
He already was a normie cog, even if he hadn't consciously thought of it. Then he got exposed to this idea that he was part of this grand destiny; that there was something only he could do.
Tumblr media
(And he kind of was. Kind of wasn't. *hand wavy* Because it was all deliberated by Kenjaku. Not that Yuuji's entirely aware of that yet.)
But he was disillusioned, those thoughts bitterly crushed.
So, he pushes forward, step by step now, as part of this... existence. This world.
It's really entertaining.

Comparing Gojo to how he was drawn the first time with his face revealed to now. Tried to find some semi-similar panels. Gotta say, I love the current style. Fun, very readable expressions. Gege's artwork has gotten so clean in recent chapters.

Chapter 68
Tumblr media
無下限呪術を相伝する五条家は、およそ400年ぶりに 「六眼」を携えた、現当主にて現代最強の呪術 - 五条悟を獲得した。 The Gojo family, who passes down the Limitless Cursed Technique, acquired the "Six Eyes" for the first time in approximately 400 years, with the possession of the current head— Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer of the modern era.
Question: So, Satoru is the first in ~400 years to "wield" the Six Eyes. But... not necessarily the first in ~400 years to be born with them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 145
After losing to two Six Eyes sorcerers, Kenjaku killed the next newly born Six Eyes. And when another popped up again later, foiling his plans yet again, he realized he needed to seal them instead. Since two Six Eyes can't exist at the same time. And once sealed they can be trapped anywhere from 100-1000 years. (ref:Ch90) Plenty enough time to get on to his plans to merge humanity with Tengen.
But he only just finally acquired the Prison Realm six years ago (~2012).
"After that, Kenjaku switched to sealing instead of eradicating the Six Eyes [...]"
...Makes it sound like Kenjaku might've tried killing them multiple times again before coming up with a Plan B. Lol.
Maybe there's a long bitter history between him and the Gojo clan. (He literally murdered one of their babies in the cradle.) I would be unimpressed if Kenjaku weren't mentioned somewhere in the clan records.
All of this to say, I was wondering if there had been more Six Eyes born more recently but just never grew up to be proper sorcerers. But now I wonder if the Six Eyes power didn't just go dormant for self-preservation reasons.
Kenjaku is like, the literal blood feud enemy of the Gojo clan, huh.
Also, this is another theory, but the fan guide is sort've... non-explicit about the Six Eyes being an exclusive Gojo family trait? It is written about in the Gojo family section... But it just says they were the first to get Six Eyes in ~400 years due to Satoru.
Tumblr media
↑ 呪力を見通し、微細な操作を可能とする 「六眼」。 保 持者は、 五条家の歴史においても稀少な存在である。 ↑ The "Six Eyes", allows insight of Cursed Energy, enabling the management of fine control possible. Even in the history of the Gojo family, holders are a rare existence.
Does this mean other Six Eyes could've been born outside the family...? Kenjaku lost track of/wasn't even aware of the fourth Six Eyes that was mentioned after all. Maybe it's because that Six Eyes wasn't a Gojo. 🤔 (This is a kind of unserious. Just another possible idea. Lol.)

fuck it, i'll say an idea i've had for a while now. i think megumi's bio mom was a zen'in too. (yes, it would mean she and toji were related, but like, distantly.) maybe they left the clan together.
this stemmed from the idea that she and toji simply... look alike. lol. but also, it's the reason toji didn't change his name to "fushiguro" until he married tsumiki's mom.
we don't actually even know if toji was married to megumi's mom... but if he was, he'd probably have jumped on the chance to change his name then. but he didn't. maybe because they were both zen'in.

JJK characters with siblings
I just like making lists. Also, interesting to think of how many of these characters have siblings we'll never see. Bolded characters are just names we know.
Megumi Fushiguro - Tsumiki (older step-sister)
Maki - Mai (younger twin sis)
Akari Nitta - Arata (younger bro)
Mei Mei - Ui Ui (younger bro)
Nanako - Mimiko (twin sis)
Panda - Gorilla (older bro) - Triceratops (eldest sis)
Yuji (youngest bro) - Choso - Eso, Kechizu - Noranso - Sho-oso - Tanso, Sanso - Kotsuso - Shoso
Toji Fushiguro - Jinichi Zen'in (older bro)
Naobita Zen'in - Ogi (younger bro) - 25th family head (Toji's father.) (eldest bro)
Fujinuma - "Baka B" (younger bro)
Noritoshi Kamo - younger half-brother
Atsuya Kusakabe - younger sister (Takeru's mom who became mentally unstable after her son's death.)
Kasumi Miwa - two younger brothers
Naoya Zen'in - many older brothers
Yuta Okkotsu - younger sister (In Gege's original plans, Cursed Rika would've killed her off.)
Yu Haibara - younger sister (Can see curses too but he forbids her from joining Jujutsu Tech.)
Old man curse user (The one Geto beat up.) - younger brother (Doted on over the old man who could see curses.)
Haibara having a younger sister who can see curses is really interesting. I doubt we'd ever see her, but it'd be neat if we did.
