I know several people who like LOVE seasons 5-7 (11th doctors run) and think the storylines and moffats writing are brilliant and I don't get it!!! what am I missing??? why does literally every single episode have the exact same stakes: Rory/Amy/the doctor is dead. forever. so dead. but wait!!! what if they aren't!!! why do so many of the explanations for why they're not actually dead feel so rushed like they were added at the last minute!! why does every single queer character act kind of weird and awkward about being queer!! why does the doctor casually say that women are inferior when no one's around!!! what the fuck!! hello!!!

Yknow I like to think that if river ever appeared in 13s era it wouldn't stop thasmin happening but realistically I think that even if 13 and River were both okay with the idea of 13 and Yaz also being together, Yaz wouldn't get it. She wouldn't be mad or anything bc she could barely even admit her own feelings to herself, but it would make her squash any feelings she did have down even further

If Ruby Sunday is indeed the child of Rose Tyler and 10, (human or gallifreyan) i really want her to know first instead of the Doctor discovering, having to keep the secret, and then telling her.

What i really am saying is that, at some point, I really want the companion of the Doctor (who'll be around for more than just 1 season) to know more about something than the Doctor. Someone who gets to keep secrets and hide those secrets, no matter how much they may want to tell the secrets or how terrible it would be if they did share the information and knowledge.

I can't recall a single companion beside River (and maybe Madam Varka i guess?) who know things the Doctor doesn't. And I think its a missed opportunity.

Not another time-lord, may I clarify. Sure, have the Doctor travel with the Master (or, im guessing, Missy kinda did that?) or whatever but have him choose a bona-fide companion who he thinks is just another average human who has average human knowledge and then get shocked to find out that they know something about him, the universe, or themselves, that he doesn't.

Not in a betrayal way. Not in a "oh im lording this knowledge over you haha" way. Not in a "the universe ends as a fixed point when I tell you this so I can't ever tell you" way. Although those would all be very fun. I just think it would be neat if they had information that the Doctor didn't have and/or didn't expect them to have.

A little more confidence and really good guessing, a look that even the Doctor can't read because he doesnt expect the answer. Knowing something he doesn't.
