do you ever think about how 2x04 is the first time we see TK give Carlos any substantial comfort? because it’s the first time we see Carlos goes through something that isn’t pretty. the first time we see Carlos in a state where he needs someone to look him in the eye and tell him it’s going to be okay. and TK does it so perfectly, giving Carlos exactly what he needs.

and then 2x08 is the next time we see him in a bad spot again, the very next time he needs that reassurance, and we see him go right to TK. the middle of a shift. he cannot wait. he needs TK to hold his hands and tell him they’ll get through it just like he did before

🔥 Kumatora!

Kumatora is so much deeper than she gets credit for. I've made a bunch of analysis posts on her before, apologies to folks who've read all those already, but I'll do a lightning round here. She is the youngest survivor of an apocalypse she'll never remember. She grew up raised amongst gender-nonconforming folks, then had feminine gender conformity suddenly thrust upon her - and hated every second of it. She was given a fabricated "princess" legacy, which she seems to feel she never lived up to anyways. She's both very tough and surprisingly sensitive - the former might even be a front to conceal the latter. She [ definitely ] knew the Masked Man was Claus, and chose not to say anything. She fights on knowing she's gonna lose her whole family, and that she's a part of making it happen. She's got no time to grieve, and she damn well knows it, in stark contrast to Lucas' relationship with loss. M3's writing follows up on very few of these threads, sure. But like! Man, there is so much going on with her!! The amount of stuff that goes unnoticed & unexplored with Kumatora (by both the game itself & the fandom) makes me go hog wild. Fascinating beautiful complex and excellent character. One of the very best in the series.

Bonus: She is definitely a teenager. Idk if this is an unpopular take or not, but I do see a lotta folks assume she's in her 20s during the game. Kid's sprite grows taller after the timeskip, other characters treat her like she's young, she acts like it too. There is no doubt in my mind she's like 16, 18 at the oldest. So when folks portray her as a full-fledged adult within the game's timeframe I'm always like ?? huhhh

#it's like. i feel like one half of the fandom flanderizes her down to just a Strong Female Character (TM) #and the other half is nintenbros who like her because Ahh Cool Sexie Pinkhair Boobie Girl (gross) #but kumatora is so much morrrreeeee. she's messy & funny & flawed & haunted & maladjusted & brave & cowardly & lonely & so full of love #unpopular opinion ask prompt #ask tag

a; still a big dancer! loves to dance! they wish to sing! to dance!!! b; very feline like, i use a very simplified art style to draw them but i like to think they're VERY tiny and a little bit bigger then goobert in his jar! c; i think lonely wiz having a crush on g0lly is rlly funny to me methinks. g0lly doesn't reciprocrate at all for a variety of reasons but one of the biggest ones is like "you're a baby in my eyes, lets just stay friends" and lonely wiz takes it like a champ but they're still bummed (lonely wiz probably didn't have a crush on g0lly for personality anyway, rather then the fact she can provide infinite levels of stimulation for their brain) d; their fur is pretty darn matted, and magnificus often has to brush it down for them often reprimanding them </3 it's also VERY thin in some spots due to them plucking it from understimulation and stress. i imagine it grows back a little funky but otherwise okay once they're out the Eternal Darkness e; their hat is messed up and has had a hole or two magnificus again, has had to sew or fix because of lonely wiz chewing or messing with it too hard from stress
