i think i embrace every moment, every adventure that i’ve spend with you. You are so different than me which was very devastating when i met you the first time. I tried to keep my cool, i tried to see how it goes.. and well now we’re here. Almost i wish we could get married but somehow we always get into these pity fights about things. It’s not about right or wrong honey, it’s about saying it without hurting each other, growing from what we are from the past and actually seeing the future together. We have different plans, visions, even family ... there are things that i envy so much about you, that i love... but i see the future with you, i want to keep it that way. And i’m sorry if i always say harsh words, i see you cry all the time but i just didn’t grow up to be emotionally open about myself. Hope you can help me better myself up, don’t hide anything from me please.

( So when i did this pile, i felt so eager to throw away everything and go to bed and cry about everything that is falling apart, like the feeling of the person and you might has to do with this. Shufflemancy helped me a lot because my personal messages card was really confusing, but i dig hard to know the meaning of the lyrics and how it does resonate with the reading, and then i found this : “Eric and I had been in a band together, and it wasn’t going well. Some thoughts so far in the last week before I release the prologue of my fanfic visual novel, Night of Sin.

The only part of this project I feel burned out on is the writing portion. I’ve had to go back and delete lines I went too overboard on. At the same time, I’ve had to go back to add in lines since I felt I was “telling” too much over “showing”. It feels like an awkward balancing game of narration, character monologue, and actual dialogue.

I know it doesn’t have to be perfect on the first pass and this project is for fun, but I guess I appreciate the characters a lot and how the original writers molded them to be who they are...I just want to make a good first impression for the characters.

I’ve watched my own playthrough of Yvette S1-4 over 50+ times already since the game shutdown. I’ve went back to re-watch Ranza, Onyx, and everyone else multiple times to search for small hints and clues of how to better write for those characters. I’ve watched my recordings from other series to see how the writers handled certain situations, like anger, confessions, fear, ect;

I just want to keep the style as close to Lovestruck writing style as I can, as a homage.

I have showed some close friends the first pass of the prologue and they all said it was good and reminded them of the actual Lovestruck game, but since then I’ve gone back to add things and delete things.

I think when creating projects, the most important part is getting your message out, getting your idea out, no matter if people like it or not. Your story is *your* story and if people aren’t happy with how it goes, they can go write their own fanfic. The same goes for art, comics, any form of creative medium.

If anyone is ever upset at my works, I always tell them...well if you pay me I can make something you want. Let me know your plans and what you want. Here’s my card, contact me whenever you’re ready. They never reply after that.

Writers, artists aren’t obligated to create things to perfectly cater to an audience. We do creative things for fun because we enjoy it. And, I am enjoying this solo project very much even though the writing and the shoe drawing part is driving me crazy, I’m enjoying it.

Lovestruck Writers Appreciation Week Day 5

Which character do you spend your hearts mostly on?

Liora: Liora was the first LI who had me spending all my hard earned hearts in order to unlock all her heart scenes. Back then I was still only getting hearts by free means so I had to plan and scrounge up and do every single weekend challenge in order to get enough. It was all worth it for her, though, because she’s kind, wonderful and absolutely marvellous and pretty much all her heart scenes are little treasures. She’s my second most favourite LI to this day and I’m so happy she exists. I’d totally be in love with her if she were a real person because she’s pretty much my dream woman come to fictional life. What can I say, for me kindness is pretty much the most appealing quality a lady can possibly possess. xD

Xenia: Now, Xenia was the first one who made me spend real money on hearts because I just couldn’t imagine reading her seasons without doing the heart choices. I spent all my Christmas savings on the biggest heart pack because of her and I do not regret that decision at all. Her heart choices are all little treasures much like Liora’s and even though she’s splendid even without those (did a playthrough with free choices only to see how it compares at one point) I definitely appreciate all the additional intimate moments and knowledge that are locked away in the heart scenes. Some of them felt like the writer reading my mind and answering my personal wishlist like say MC telling Xenia all the wonderful things she thinks about her and how she’s worth so much more than she thinks. Overall, this has been a true gem of a route and I could never ever praise it enough.

Cecelia: To be honest I didn’t know what to think of Cecelia in the beginning. It took me about 9 episodes to decide that yes, I did love her a whole lot and yes, I did want to go back and do all the heart choices for her as well. And while it might have taken me a little while to warm up to her she’s now in my personal top 5 and one of the LIs I love the most. I really like that she has a slightly darker side that gets gradually explored over the seasons and I absolutely adore the open communication between her and MC. She’s dangerous but also vulnerable and that’s a combination that never fails to make me swoon.

Yvette: Speaking of LIs with a darker side I would die for Yvette. I was keeping both my fingers and toes crossed for her to get her own route and was incredibly thrilled when she got one. I know some people take issue with her exactly because of her darker side but I really appreciate that she’s a complex LI who while not being traditionally good so to speak is utterly wonderful and deserving of so much love. Her third season was an absolute revelation and is one of my most favourite things ever on the app. Her writer does such an outstanding job with her story, I am beyond impressed.

Nora: Nora was a surprise. I was not supposed to spend hearts on her at all. I was in fact saving those hearts for Jessa. But then I loved Nora’s premiere so much that I read those first three episodes 3 times in one day and ended up caving and spending hearts on her by the time I was on my third read. No regrets, though. Nora is kind, intelligent and curious and so lovely it hurts. Her and MC are precious together and it just makes me so happy to see two inqusitive young ladies learn things together and have passion for knowledge as one of the main things they have in common. Nora’s route feels like the equivalent of a comfort drink or food to me. It gives me the warm fuzzies and delights me to no end every time I read it. She deserves my hearts. Will be getting more of them if we do get a second season with her written by the same person.

Lucas: Since I was already spending the hearts I had saved up for Jessa on Nora I decided I might as well throw some on Lucas too. I wanted his premiere season to do well so I decided it was worth it to invest in it in the name of mlm players getting more representation in the future. I ended up loving his story a whole lot. There were certain moments in it that gave me hope when I was feeling really down and reminded me to never give up no matter what and that meant much more to me than I can say. I love male MC. I see myself in him and can relate to him on a very personal level. To whoever worked on this route - you did a terrific job!

To all the writers of the routes mentioned above and to everyone working at Lovestruck in general - thank you! You’ve given me hours of happiness and helped cheer me up when I needed it. I’m truly grateful for all your work. I sincerely hope @lovestruckvoltage addresses your concerns soon and keeps you on under better conditions because I definitely want to read more stories written by you. You’re an outstanding bunch of humans and I love you all!

Lovestruck Writer appreciation week

Day 1: Who’s currently your most favorite character out of the whole Lovestruck app and why?

My favorite character is Lyris from Reigning Passions!

He was a character that I fell in love with when I first saw the Sevastian route, I liked his way, his appearance and the way he is always a great friend regardless of anything.

When they announced their route I was super happy and promised myself I would take all your answers by heart (I don’t always spend on other routes), I started playing your route and I was impressed with your first 3 episodes, I felt comfortable and always he played smiling because there was always something funny on his route.

Since then it is my favorite route, I feel good playing, I cried reading the beginning of the third season (I am not much of a cry but I could not stand that beginning), I have now played all of its fourth season and honestly it was the best of all and I am waiting the next one.

I really wanted to know the Lyris writer’s blog, I wanted to fill this person with praise for making Lyris’s story so interesting! To make a character so sweet and strong, to make us feel an emotion from the beginning to the end of each season, I would like to thank this person for the beautiful work he is doing and I hope to follow a lot of his participation in the Lyris route ahead.

And for those who are reading this, if you have never played or are thinking about the possibility of playing, I recommend you try it, because Lyris' route is not the same as anything I have read, it is unique!!

in which lee rambles about how great writers are

I don’t really know what this is. I don’t know if now is the right time to do this, or a really bad time, or if it makes any sense, but I want to talk about it! I feel like a broken record saying ‘the writing matters most, the writing matters most’ but maybe I need to show what I mean by that? So, here is an attempt.

I’m sorry not all of these are the same length and not everyone is here, because every time I see that someone is a writer I do try to follow but I don’t always know/remember! Also I am weird about this sort of thing and don’t want to tag people in a monster-long post, so I’m just going to link. I also don’t want to make this a producers vs writers thing, it’s not, it’s just, when I say I notice writer-stuff, an explanation of what, specifically, I mean.

Writers have a style fingerprint. I’m sure someone with an actual creative writing or English background could describe it all academic-ly, but my ex-chemist ass is just going to call it a fingerprint.

My first game in Lovestruck was Starship Promise - I love Firefly, I’m a bisexual disaster scientist by education, it fit. But I had been REALLY put off by GIL when it first came out (this was back when they released stories in parts? And the heroine, which I will get to) and though I’d glanced at AFK, I mistrusted it after GIL and Medusa, who was who I was interested in, wasn’t out yet. So I resisted a LONG time. I finally picked up LS and SP and played it explicitly because a friend said, you need to give this another chance, for a list of specific reasons.

And when Atlas’s route came out, I read it a stupid number of times. I must have re-read his season 1 & 2 at least eight times apiece (he is still my most read route, despite the fact I have not read his last season because I want to leave the story open-ended) so when I read Neil Dresner’s route, I recognized the fingerprint. Not only that, when I was reading Jett and the episodes with the paint scene (YOU KNOW THE SCENE) came out, my breath caught with how lovely it was, a particular in-between moment and touch, and even though it wasn’t a phrase I had seen, the style of it, had me re-reading (because it was gorgeous) again and again from the log for like five minutes and I thought, “I bet Melissa wrote this” AND SHE DID.

Physical touch! (& in-betweens)

Melissa-grey has a particular way of writing about physical touch in very emotional moments that is very real and grounded and ironically the effect is just magical. It creates these so skillful “in between” moments, those little things that aren’t dialogue and aren’t metaphor but SHOW you that this closed off person is cracking for their little ray of sunshine. They are SO subtle and so beautiful, like, the heroine noticing the scent of a pillow, or a softening of an aborted hand movement. She sets up and executes these moments of physical touch as a conduit for emotional touch with characters who aren’t ready to admit he latter and it’s DELICIOUS. Those little in-betweens are what I live for in story - and it includes all the supporting cast moments, who swell up to make the world feel lived in, and balanced (I loathe love stories where no one else exists! That’s a recipe for disaster, people need networks) I noticed when she stopped writing, and because I missed it, I went and bought the entire Midnight Girl series, as well as Rated (I hope that is flattering and not creepy!) and that style of writing is so unique, that without KNOWING, I picked it up in four separate routes (noticed in Sev’s s1, too!)

Pacing (& friggen heartache)

Another fingerprint! Ripping your heart out! Arthoure has had me in tears, MULTIPLE TIMES and I get very grouchy about it every time because I am the least sentimental and romantic person that I know (I once MOVED STATES to avoid an ‘I love you’ conversation. I once said ‘yikes’ in response to an ‘I love you’ and I once broke up with someone because I thought he was going to propose. I’m a bitch) but I think it’s because of pacing! I know that producers play a role in that, but that actually makes it more impressive, because making each bit of story feel like it fits precisely the amount of space it needs when you don’t really get a say in how much space that is has got to take a MASSIVE amount of effort. Every little hint, every emotional beat, every character tell, they drop at a consistent build so the emotional payoff is just brutal (in a good, cathartic way?) every time a route makes me cry I wait and see and YEAH ITS ALWAYS ARTHOURE. The sweep and sentiment of Remy’s season 2 is unparalleled. Across Time is gutwrenching, and I actually stopped reading Renzei at one point because I was so emotional over it I had to like, LEGIT TAKE A BREAK to recover. Pacing and heartache. I have to stop and wonder - is it because the routes themselves are so gut-punching? OR is it because she knows how to wring every last emotional drop out of whatever story framework is handed to her? Because, Ezekiel’s villain costume is a bit silly (there I said it, it is) I get the cobra helmet shape in theory but in practice, ooof, but POINT BEING despite being skeptical I’d be able to take his story seriously as a result, I was hiccuping from crying so much (and I am gosh darn adult, in my thirties, with three degrees and a high-stress job at pretty major company. I DON’T CRY EASY)

Dialogue (& heroines!)

Xekstrin is the gosh damn master of dialogue. Clever, witty banter that doesn’t go where you expect it to, meandering but natural topic changes that are delightful to follow and feel real, and--special shoutout for this, okay--the navigation of viscerally important topics like consent, kink, self-worth, power in relationships, self-sacrifice, and apologies in a way that is not stilted or forced at all (listen, I know Viv & Lyris are the most recent and they are amazing but I remember this first hit me when I was reading Astraeus, and I spent half the route with my jaw on the floor going, oh shit, oh shit. The communication! The navigation of the complexity of emotion going on, chef’s kiss! Casual isn’t the right word, but, natural, maybe?). I don’t actually take that many screenshots of the app--it’s usually single lines that get me--but when I do, they are almost always conversations from one of her routes, because they’re so damn good, and often so unexpected, and yet always make such perfect sense for the characters involved. Dialogue is SO HARD OKAY. Actually try and transcribe a conversation sometime, it’s nuts how people talk vs how most people write people talking. Xekstrin also writes some of my absolute favorite MCs, and going back to fingerprints, I was reading Lyris s1 and right there in the first tavern scene, as we were following along with the heroine’s thoughts I went, ah, yes, I know who you belong to and I am SO EXCITED. Being able to give the heroine unique thoughts and quirks, to make her genuinely relatable, without overriding the necessary template of the genre dictates, is a skill all of its own. But I love her MCs! There is a beautiful balance of compassion, competence, and dash of bratty, wild, fun mischief. I can actually cheer for them. I can actually get behind them. I WANT the love interest to flop at their feet for who they are, not just because the story says so. And that comes from how the heroine’s thoughts are written, from her phrasing in conversations, how she sees situations, not just a producer saying ‘she is a strong lead who is self conscious about her ears and she’s nervous in the council meeting’ or whatever. I AM REALLY STRUGGLING to articulate this if you can’t tell from how long I have been blathering. Maybe this - the heroine is the same across every route, presumably, yes? Everyone has the same base. I NEVER question, when xekstrin is writing, why the love interest falls in love with her. Side note - I had hard written off GIL after a bad experience with the standalone app. I only read Aurora BECAUSE I learned she wrote it, and I would have SO MISSED OUT otherwise.

A complete aside in which Lee grumbles about heroines and not writers!

(Complete side vent: Often, the heroine is, if not a blank slate, a sort of collection of assigned traits, and she often remains so unless the story demands she become otherwise. Which is fine! I don’t personally, but I know a lot of folks self-insert, and so erring towards that makes sense. Almost all the otome I’ve played were originally written for a Japanese audience. When I played original Voltage games, starting back in 2014, I always had to remind myself - different culture, different culture, different culture, and it was not possible for me to relate to most of the heroines. I still enjoyed the stories, but I rarely cheered for the heroine’s romance, especially in some of the slice of life stories. I understood her, but I rarely wanted her to get with the love interest, I wanted her success to come in other ways! Another game company, Cybird, tried to ‘Americanize’ their heroine to IMO disastrous effect - it was such a stereotype, and made no sense since they didn’t also Americanize the context, so she come across as, frankly, ridiculous. And frankly, Voltage’s GIL heroine REEKED OF THAT. When they first posted her on social media I was legitimately annoyed about it, like could you lean into this more? I think not. So when I talk about being able to relate to and cheer for the heroine, it’s a big deal, because my blatant mistrust of Voltage and their ability to craft a heroine I could tolerate was a BIG factor in how long it took me to give Lovestruck a try. I was willing to tolerate it in translated stories, I was so skeptical of -en only ones.)

Metaphors (& balance)

literacouture writes beautiful metaphors for connection between humans! I’m really bad at keeping track of who writes what, but I purposefully kept an eye out on tumblr after reading Cal’s route, because there were some lines that were pure poetry, and I wanted to keep an eye out for more. It is HARD to spin metaphors prettily without delving into trite, painful, purple prose cringe territory, and it’s navigated beautifully in Cal’s route. There’s a balance between those spin-out moments and things that are tangible and anchoring and make it feel authentic and unique to the two characters involved, instead of just ‘I am trying to make this sound romantic and this is a romantic phrase so here it is’. That balance is really necessary. You NEED the mundane alongside the metaphor or it doesn’t feel authentic. Also. Trying really hard to write this without throwing any authors or producers under the bus, but...listen. I love Sin with Me. But the world logic (or LACK THEREOF) drives me up a wall. I don’t read Cal because of his character traits or sprite or (sigh) his story. I read him because literacouture writes a beautiful romance.

So anyway...

There are more! When I am less tired and don’t have meetings, I will try and write them up (Please know there are so many routes I love, and so many things I do recognize across chapters! I don’t even HAVE words for what theivorytowercrumbles accomplished with Helena’s story not to mention how much I adore Cyprin, SummerLightning’s handling of Onyx’s past relationship was so deftly done when it could have so quickly become ‘milk abuse for plot’ and joidecombat gave Sev a fresh, mischievous energy and navigated the dream/reality line with SUCH skill, and so on and so on.)

I’ve written a lot of reviews. And I try to give nods where I feel they’re due - sometimes, it really is obvious that the whole team’s work came together to makes something great, the world, the plot, the arc, the art, the words, and the music all fit into place in a well-crafted tour de force. And sometimes one piece or another is lacking, and I’ll admit I’ve left some...less than kind reviews to that end (I try and soften it, because I know there are humans on the other side of everything, but I’ve been harsh more than once with my opinions). I’ve read routes with plots that made me want to tear my hair out because I DO value consistency and logic to a degree, even if I’m going to accept at face value that, say, space travel is a thing or demons turn to sand when stabbed.

In the end, these are romance stories. So I will let a lot slide when it comes to plot. What sells a story are the words - not the outline.

And if Voltage doesn’t believe that - just remember that Hamlet existed long, long before Shakespeare wrote it. His was the version that lasted, because the people liked it best. The plot, the world, the characters, they all existed a hundred times over. Even just look at fan translations of manga. Why do people keep translating, even if someone else has? Because the words someone else picked don’t do the story justice.

I don’t know. I’m talking in circles because I don’t know my own thesis!

Maybe it’s just - the worlds these stories in are nice. But when I say I’m a fan of something, the premise is like. 10%. The rest is the writing.

Lovestruck Writers Appreciation Week

Day 3: Which series are your most favorite and why?

Thank you @virtueassassin for setting up the appreciation week!

I don’t think anyone will be shocked when I say my top series is Queen of Thieves 😂

5 things i love about it:

This girl is my favourite MC - she is just out there living her thirsty, arty, criminal best-life and she really makes me laugh 😆

The writers have created LIs who are all so three-dimensional, different and strong in their own right. Their back stories are insanely bloody good! And I never expect what’s coming next!

Even when you’re not romancing someone and they’re in the chapter you’re reading, I love the interactions betwen the whole group! It’s such a fun gang!

I love the fact it’s set in (mainly) Europe and I’ve been to most of these cities - it really adds something special to it for me when the gang break into the Louvre or are on Barceloneta beach or I see Charles Bridge

The CG/Artwork for this series is stunning. I love how the artist is able to capture the emotions so well as it differs from tense and dramatic, through to soft and vulnerable or passionate and hot depending on what’s going on.

I know stuff is kinda Wild rn,,, but despite it all I still enjoy the writing in lovestruck, and no matter what happens to it I will always appreciate the writers for giving me so much joy and happiness! They’re all so talented and I truly wish them all the very best, whether it be with voltage or without. So we’re gonna finish up this appreciation week!

Day 6: Which character did you play but had doubts but ended up enjoying in the end of the season?

Honestly, Helena. Not for much reason. I wasn’t sure about the Love and Legends art style, and she was my first LI. I hadn’t heard of her before getting the app and the only reason I was super unsure is because it was the test run to see if I’d enjoy the app at all! I’m very lucky I did. Helena is lovely and though I regrettably never finished her route, I really enjoyed what I got through and would love to finish it up in some manner some day.

Lovestruck writers appreciation week

I'm late but hey better late than never.

Day 1: who is currently your most favourute character on the whole Lovestruck app and why?

My favourite changes often and it's almost always whoever I'm reading at the moment. Right now I'm reading Lyris's season 4 so I'll go with him.

Lyris is an amazing character. He is kind and caring and flirty. He dislikes fighting and is a pacifist and it is often expressed that he is not a warrior, which is something that you rarely see with male characters. Fighting skill is so often one of the most important part of having a strong male character that other ways of showing strength are often overlooked. Lyris is a strong male character but he isn't a fighter. That part is mostly explored in his second season but it's one of my favourite and most memorable things about him. I could go on for days about how his route kicks toxic masculinity in the ass, but I'll spare you. Lyris's relationship with MC is also a work of art. They are so in love it's almost painful to watch. And they genuinely like and respect each other as people regardless of their attraction which is always nice to see. He is also very much not perfect and we see his petty and jealous side more than once, which, to me, only makes him more attractive. The fact that he is also one of the prettiest Lovestruck characters doesn't hurt either.

So yeah, Lyris is great, if you're into men I'd 100000% recommend his route and thank you to @xekstrin for giving us such an amazing route. To @lovestruckvoltage I really wish that you'd treat these amazing writers with the respect they deserve.

Lovestruck Writer appreciation week

Day 1: Who's currently your most favorite character out of the whole Lovestruck app and why?

My favorite character is Sevastian from Reigning Passions.

I love his character so much. He has such a good heart. He loves MC so passionately, loving her more than he loves himself. I love his wit and banter with the MC. He's sexy, fun, mischievous, but also oh so sweet and tender.

He's the only character that has made me cry multiple times. I've read the other routes in RP just for hopes of seeing more of him. I adore his friendship with Lyris, and am overjoyed that their friendship is repaired in Lyris's route.

He can be downright infuriating. At the beginning, it was how cold he could be to the MC. But now, in the last season, it is how blind he is to his sudden change to be more like his father. But then you see his reasons for these things - and it's always his love for the MC - and all is ok again.

I hope there he will get many more seasons in the future, as I'm not ready to see his story end anytime soon.

Day 3: Which series is your most favorite and why?

Queen of Thieves.

It was a breath of fresh air after all the fantasy stories, mostly. But the dynamics within the Poppy, the first LIs, everything just fit nicely into place and created a story I am really enjoying.

The Gilded Poppy is such a great bunch of friends, their bond in palpable but at the same time doesn't go to overinvolvement into each other's business. It's great.

I generally like all the newer series but QoT started it everything for me.

I first discovered lovestruck in August 2017 before then I had already played several otome games as well as other romance story games like choices, roomies etcetera but at this point had lost enthusiasm for all of them and everything else in general and then one day I was needing something to do to pass time for a few hours and I scrolled through the play store and saw lovestruck recommend to me so I decided to kill time with this game and low and behold i fell in love with the story's being told and the characters being shown and I will never be able to fully express how much these story's have impacted and saved my life and how grateful I am to the writers for being able to bring these story's to life.

Lovestruck Writers Appreciation Week Day 1

Favourite character: Xenia

I always have a terrible time of it when I have to pick just one favourite out of anything but this is easy. As much as I love a lot of other LIs Xenia is the one that owns my whole heart.

I have a slightly embarrassing confession to start with - I've been in love with Xenia since the first time they showed us her sprite when they teased us about the new characters coming with Reigning Passions. From then on I was reading both Amara and Sevastian constantly on the lookout for Xenia cameos and absorbing any and all information about her like a sponge. And before you go all "But, of course, she's sexy and has four arms, what more could a lesbian want", I'd like to point out that it wasn't either of those things that made her so appealing to me. I'm ace, so hopelessly ace that someone actually had to point out that Xenia had four arms and impressive cleavage under her image on Facebook for me to notice that oh, that was indeed the case! What I locked on immediately instead was her face which is beautiful and how kind her expression was. From then on I was creating countless head canons about her intimidating and sexy persona being mostly a front and her being a much more complex individual with a heart of gold. Imagine my surprise and genuine delight when the writer who got assigned Xenia's route actually went with what I'd been imagining in my head for months instead of the stereotypical sexy spy with zero depth! I was thrilled! I am still thrilled!

Xenia is far from a cookie cutter character. She has astonishing depths and is presented to us slowly and gradually, layer after layer and my god, I love that to bits! She's sexy for everyone who enjoys that sort of thing but she's also kind and supportive and protective and wonderful for little old me who dies over things like that instead. We get the dominant vibes that are popular with most readers but we also get a complex person who is about so much more than her looks or the initial image she presents. She's soft, she's vulnerable, she's been hurt so she's slow to open up but at the same time she's always there for MC and never lets her look down on herself. In turn MC is so wonderfully patient and understanding and loving it's just.... ugh... The relationship between these two makes me ridiculously happy. I wish someone would be so kind and patient with me in real life as these two are with each other.

Xenia is just this absolutely wonderful person who deserves all the bloody love in the world but has been getting exactly none of it for years and that makes me so, so sad. But it's also what makes the fact that she's still kind and respectful and inherently good (no matter what she claims) that much more impressive. Because imagine being treated like an outsider, a killer, a threat for so long and still not turning bitter and wanting to squash everyone who has ever wronged you. Imagine the sort of strength it takes to stay true to yourself in spite of everything those around you claim to be true about you behind your back. Just... imagine! This is what turns Xenia into much more than simply a character I love and want to protect with all my heart. It turns her into a role model because damn it all to hell - I want to be like that! I want to take the negative things that happen to me or are said about me and turn them into something positive. I want to stay kind no matter what. And you know finding a character you both love and want to be more like is so rare and precious that I just can't help putting Xenia above all others because of this.

I could write more but this is already a wall of text (as per usual with me) so I'll stop here. Suffice it to say I consider myself one of Xenia's writer's number 1 fans and have frequent urges to shower said writer with gifts, flowers, hugs, whatever would make them happy. They did a mindblowingly amazing job when creating this character and I'm forever in their debt because of that.
