During the first year or so of college, after a long, joyful, irresponsible, hot gap year, Lucas and Kes started to have the first moment of distance between them. And that does not say a lot because they were basically glued to each other until this point so that distance was even mockable to any other human that didn't have a relationship like they had.

But it was noticeable to them, obviously, and to the ones closer to them. Everyone knew it was a phase because Lucas and Kes belong together, everyone says, but it felt very weird to see them not as close as they used to be. And it wasn’t big fights or things that could change their relationship forever either. But by going to different courses in college, they met new people, different mindset, some that connected them to these new people in areas that Kes and Lucas didn’t connect.

So, there were long months of small, frustrating arguments because they had different points of views about important, general society matters. They obviously had different mindsets before, especially about their relationship but anything else, they would just push aside because it didn’t matter more than they did.

And in this first year of college, it started to matter. Lucas became a tiny bit more extrovert, he went on a few different trips around Europe with some college people and Kes became even more extrovert, but also more introverted if that makes any sense.

Kes was always like that, though. He can easily be social and the center of attention when out and about, meeting new people, drinking, and smoking at some random house party. He was just more closed off when it became about Lucas and what their relationship was, the fine line between the best of friends and passionate lovers. It was a very private relationship and he liked it that way because in his mind, it was a selfish way to keep their bubble intact from the outside world and its opinions. And this new introverted version is not so private about…well, being private. Kes very much enjoys his free time alone, most of the time, thinking about where Lucas is now, or painting while high as a fucking kite.

As months slipped by, the long arguments became less occurring again, and they slowly slipped back into the position they always had in each other´s lives. They didn’t live as close as they did when they were kids or teenagers, but they found the time to glue themselves back together. It took another handful of months for the first kiss after that weird phase. They were almost drunk, just got back to Kes’ place after a summer night out and Lucas went to take a shower first and crawled into bed completely naked and not ashamed of it.

Kes was a little shocked, but he was sweaty and a little too drunk – he wanted to enjoy that night like they used to do, and he wanted to be a little more sober to remember it with details in the future – so he forced himself out of bed for a quick cold shower too. Lucas is way too proud to give in to their drunk-young-adults hormones so Kes knew nothing would happen tonight, so he took his time in the shower. He wasn't obnoxiously loud but he was aware of the slight open bathroom door, and he was aware that his ears were ringing and that he wasn't hearing himself properly because of it. Maybe Lucas fell asleep, the bed did feel extremely comfortable after a night walking up and down the city drinking every possible beer they could afford.

Kes brushed his teeth and opened the door completely, hoping it wouldn't creek too loudly. Lucas opened his bright blue eyes and smiled, still a little drunk.

“Took you long enough.” He whispered, his voice was a lot lower after so many hours talking, not drinking a single glass of water. He turned his back to Kes, getting comfortable in that one position he’s always slept in since they were kids: facing the cold wall, one hand in between his cheek and the pillow, the other holding the sheet against his chest, waiting for Kes to hug him so they can go to bed already.

But Kes was still buzzing – just a tiny bit – and he missed Lucas. So he put on some underwear and finally got comfortable in bed, holding the sheet to get as close as possible to Lucas still very slim, and naked, body, putting his arm around Lucas’ waist, just lifting his own torso a little bit, kissing Lucas’ neck and ear until he finally moved a little and kissed Kes on the mouth after what felt like an eternity of lives without that touch.

[in response to the poll ab your strengths as a writer] I 100% agree that your characterisation is *chefs kiss* (and also that you slap at dialogue - to me it always feels so genuine and authentic? like realistic dialogue is difficult to come across but it really grounds your characters) BUT I also want to mention how much I love your pacing? this is mainly in reference to cotton candy skies but I loved the really leisurely feeling of it, like you get to savour every moment with the characters. it's such a comfort fic for me so I love how it just lets you sit there and enjoy it, especially the first time reading it xx

(ps also I remember you mentioning you love the book I'll Give You The Sun, and I've been meaning to send an ask ab it bc since you said that, I've been able to recognise it in your writing? I think the gentleness you approach your characters with even in not-peaceful moments/fics is quite similar, and the way you portray their outlook on the world. your lucas vdh makes me think of noah at points, and idk, it's kinda special to see how you as a person shapes your work)

i rly wanna publish books someday (i've started writing one but we'll see when i finish it lmao) so it's SOSOSO nice to hear my strengths and what sticks out to people from my writing so i know what to like keep doing if that makes sense

hearing that you can recognize igyts literally made me burst into tears you have no idea how much that means to me (and about luc and noah; I've realised since rereading it recently that i have just straight up absorbed parts of noahs personality into my own and a lot of lucs character has been (and is, in wtweau) projection so that actually makes SO much sense)

Reasons why Skam NL should get season 3 ( I’m looking at you Netflix NL)

The Skam remakes have a large international fanbase that will come to watch the show

Season 3 is the most popular season which has brought more fans to each

Season 3 is important to the lgbtq community as they get to see themselves represented

The Belgian remakes third season became the years most searched for thing in Belgium showing the shows potential.

The Skam NL’s cancellation was due to budget cuts not poor performance (plus the show can be made at a relatively small cost due to it not using special effects or specially built sets).

The Italian version of Skam was picked up for a fourth season by Netflix Italia after fan campaigning.

The French version was picked up for seasons 5 & 6 which is more than the original due to the popularity with its fans

Despite not releasing new content for months Skam NL has had 1.1 Million views in the last 30 days showing the fans support and love for it

The Color of Love is Finished!

Chapter Summary: Sander convinces Robbe to go to Paris for their Anniversary. They tour Paris, meet a Shadowhunter from Utrecht, and accidentally get caught up in a massive demon plot. Sander saves the day, and Jens rushes to Paris to help. Demons, demons everywhere with lots of fluffy Sobbe and a bit of VDS on the side. Enjoy the last adventure of our favorite Shadowhunter/Fey couple!

Fic Summary: Sander is half Fey, and Robbe is a Shadowhunter. This is the story of how they met and fell in love. There are weapons and demons, paintings and drawings, lots of cuddling and fluff, and communication. We love communication, and maybe some flirty and snarky banter. Throw in a grumpy Jens and a badass Lucas VDH, and Robbe and Sander are off on an adventure that takes them from the Antwerp Shadow Market to the streets of Paris.

Warnings: Detailed demon fighting violence and cursing; discussions about and references to deceased parents; mentions of grief.

I changed the rating to Mature (M) because of this chapter.
