ummmm i try not to think about it and also like i remember the discourse from when the stuff about jimmy first came out (like the allegations, we've known about the msi pedo lyrics and slurs for years which ppl love to ignore) ppl wwere like stoop making this about gerard, and i agree, its NOT about gerard. its about the victim who i feel terribly for. but also at the same time, i am not an msi fan, i am an mcr fan and gerard's relations to/friendship with jimmy is something that makes me sometimes like. have to think critically about how i feel about gerard. and like yes, when the allegations came out and people started dogpiling gerard in in his instagram comments on one hand it was like ppl were definitely taking it too far by feeling like they had the right to tell him he needs to get a divorce, but gerard SEEING all of the comments begging him to cut ties with jimmy and his response being to turn off comments and continue to follow jimmy (when frank and mikey unfollowed) yes it left a sour taste in my mouth!!!!!!

i want to think that gerard is a better person and a better father than to continue to support someone like that. and i do believe, based on mcr booting dewees for the reunion when he was initially involved int heir planning, that gerard cares too much about his reputation to PUBLICLY associate himself with jimmy again in the future. but as far as if he's actually cut him out of his personal life, i dont know and i dont think we'll ever know because i highly doubt gerard will make a statement on it.

It's always the frerardies that have a Lynz call out ready. You act so high and mighty about being 'normal' about the guys but then you'll drag G's wife. You refuse to even ponder that she might have changed since then. Okay so here is this fun cool fact, I can make frerard jokes without being a frerardie. And let's say I am a frerardie for a minute, even with that being true that doesn't remove the fact that Lynz did all the things she did. And when have I claimed to be better than anyone else? We're all at devils sacrament here. Similarly I have never said anything about Frank because for one I have no say on what Frank can and cannot say especially when he said it when he was in his early twenties and had probably been called that slur numerous times. That and I have no idea what his intention was with the tattoo but I don't believe Frank had any malice in mind when getting that design tattooed. I don't want it to be but the "he gets to die a saint but she will always be the whore" line could be about him and his wife. The fandom worships him but hates his wife (she really doesn't make it difficult tbh). But that idea paired with the previous lines in that verse... he doing ok?

The song is clearly autobiographical, and I can't really think of any other "shes" in his life that would make sense. Of course we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe he's got a secret mistress.

the she will always be the whore thrown in there throws me for a loop!!! like above any other line in the song. like the whole song is so clearly about him and his time in mcr and also post-mcr and like. really one of the few mcr songs that i can fully sus out exactly what its about on a real level.

but i dont get that line!!

in the car today on one of my listens i thought about this ask and i wondered if it could be about lynz. 'he gets to die a saint but she will always be the whore' being like the way ppl literally worship gerard and think he's a god but certain fans have always hated lynz, even before she was Problematique™️ as fans of attractive men can honeslty often react to them getting a new partner who they view of as "stealing" him from them. so like there has always been this dichotomy of how they viewed the two members of one partnership.

i mean there are also a lot of fans who mindlessly worshipped lynz as soon as they got together based solely on the fact that they worshipped gerard. but i wouldn't doubt that the ones hating on her were louder, at least to his perception.

so honestly i could see that line being about her. but as far as the context of that line in the rest of the song it just doesnt make sense to me? bc she's (whoever the whore is) not mentioned at all in the rest of the song. but it could be just a commentary on another aspect of what fame and public perception did to him.

oh wait tho....now im thinking about it in the context of the lyric that comes before it

'and if by his own hand his spirit flies take his body as a relic to be canonized' obviously this is a reference to suicide. i wonder if the whore line is commenting on the fact that if he had done that. ppl would blame lynz instead of trying to support her through a time like that. bc i mean. and thats the thing like people for ages have been saying theyre getting divorced she treats him like shit this and that. and im specifically thinking of the dumpster fire of his insta comments before he turned them off. it was allllll shit about his shitty wife and when are you getting divorced. so if this song was in fact written pretty recently like that video of them in the studio suggests. maybe that was on his mind and maybe those comments, because hes been very offline for a while, were his first clue-in to how a lot of the fandom views her, and thats affected him and like. idk it does make sense kind of to me now.

im not gonna claim thats absolutely what its about but. i think it could fit.

let me be clear that i had no idea about any of the lynz drama going on for years, bc i had deleted my tumblr and was generally out of the online mcr fandom space - I've only recently just learned about what's been transpiring over the last several years with lynz, msi, her making the nowaymikeywag blog, etc.

i keep seeing A LOT of discourse about the fact that gerard is mentioning lynz before he performs summertime and people are getting upset about it bc they don't wanna hear about his "racist wife"

i just don't know what to think about like.. any of it? it's so wild to me, i never necessarily looked up to lynz or followed her/msi closely, but with everything that's happened and a lot of the things she's being accused of... i have to say it doesn't surprise me if it's true. idk. i don't really have a real opinion on it because it's just a lot of info to take in LOL.

I've always wondered how much of it was Gerards choice to change therapist and how much was Lindsey's influence. She benifits a lot form Gerard not working through his trauma. Its sus af that she was the one to recommend a therapist. Even in a healthy relationship, your partner shouldn't be shoping around for a therapist on your behalf. Nothing about this situation is healthy or normal. It just shows how overbearing Lindsey is.

Overbearing indeed. It's difficult to want to exist in public spaces when your partner treats you like a child and insists on "fixing" things for you. Shocking to think this isn't event the peak of her behaviour.
