yandere pyra with an insecure aegis driver
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: pyra x gn!reader
tags: praise, jealousy, comfort, love at first sight
Tumblr media
you're pyra's driver, the one who saved her from falling into the hands of malos and jin. and for that alone, pyra loved and worshiped you!
in her eyes, you could never do anything wrong! you are a hero, saving a girl like her from such villains, before you even became her driver!
yet here you were, being so insecure about being the driver of legendary aegis! and it pained pyra to see you like this…
whenever she could, she would praise you and remind you, as well as the people around you, of just how great you were!
your humble and nervous reaction to her praise always made pyra fall even deeper in love with you!
you were so amazing and yet so humble! in her eyes, you were even too humble…
pyra wanted you to grow more confident! yet she worried that if you did, you might be confident enough to talk to other women. and maybe, she'd lose you then…
pyra oftentimes gets rather possessive, but it's hard to be mad at her, when she looks so embarrassed about it herself…

Submitted propaganda for Third Aegis Sword
It's cool, it's green, you can kill god with it
Submitted propaganda for Malos's Monado
Monado BUSTER! This is the weapon that changed Xenoblade 2. When you saw this, you knew things were amping up, that this game wasn't so disconnected from the first as it claimed. Then, there is its design. It's jagged, and pointy, but still elegant and flows well together. It has an aesthetic no other monado has, with its omnious purple aura. Though not as popular, I consider this the best designed monado.

i don't think any media will ever consume my thoughts in the same way as Xenoblade 2's Torna DLC. When you play through the base game, the fate of the Torna party seems tragic on its own, but seeing them for yourself? Going through their entire journey together, knowing they can never have the happy ending they fight for, knowing that every single character you meet cannot escape this unscathed? I will never be the same as I was before.
Hugo, emperor of Mor Ardain? He is a kind, gentle man who wants nothing more than to protect the people he cares about and to fight by his best friend's side. Brighid and Aegeaon are endlessly loyal to him, beyond the level that Blades already are loyal to their Drivers. At the end of it all, he does achieve his goals. He protects Mor Ardain and Addam to his final breath, sacrificing his all to ensure their survival. Brighid and Aegeaon, in turn, were so closely bonded to Hugo yet forced to forget everything they shared with him. Brighid could only rely on what she had written of their time together before Hugo's death, and I can't recall if Aegeaon even had that.
Addam managed to stop Malos for a time, but he still failed. He couldn't prevent the fall of Torna, he couldn't save his best friend and his retainer, he couldn't master Mythra's power because he was afraid of it, and he couldn't ensure the threat of Malos or Amalthus was gone. Minoth managed to find people he could forge bonds with after leaving Amalthus, but he could never truly escape Amalthus's influence. He could never escape the ghosts of his past, being forced to encounter the influence of both Malos and Amalthus even 500 years later despite being supposedly freed by his Flesh Eater status. Mythra ultimately failed to stop Malos and, despite forging powerful connections with the Torna party and Milton, could never truly feel as if she was accepted due to both her power as the Aegis and her personality. After Torna concluded, she made Pyra to "fix" everything she perceived to be wrong about herself, and never felt fully accepted until her journey with Rex 500 years later.
And Lora, Jin, and Haze are quite possibly the most tragic of all. Not only was all of their fighting for naught, not only was Malos still a threat to what they cared about, but none of them were given a chance to enjoy the little peace they had fought to make. Lora was killed by Amalthus's forces within months, her life cut short so early at the whims of a depraved Praetor. She never got to see the Tornan survivors find homes in Tantal or Leftheria, and she left behind so much in Jin, Haze, and Mikhail. Jin lived on after in his own sort of sorrow. He had to consume Lora's heart to keep his memories of her, but grew so disillusioned with humanity that he sought its destruction in just the same manner as Amalthus and Malos. He brought his surrogate son, Mikhail, into the same sorrow, and both lived in this desolate state for centuries before at last being reunited with Lora in death. Haze met the fate of most Blades, losing her memories after Lora's death, but was then violated by the theft of her core crystal and her reawakening at the hands of Amalthus, Lora's very killer. She also existed in a state of lost identity and was used as a puppet and tool for propaganda for centuries before her "merciful" final death at the hands of Jin, her former companion and friend.
Even Malos never received a decent end. He was injured severely, lost a substantial portion of his power, and still couldn't escape the permeating influence of Amalthus as his Driver. He remained a puppet in his own right, never discerning what he truly desired or whether his goal of destroying humanity was his own or yet another inheritance from his Driver. He and Jin could rarely find solace in anyone but each other, as even if they had been foes before, nobody else could truly understand what each had undergone.
The only character who truly received a "good" ending from Torna was Amalthus, who was wholly undeserving of it and made everyone else's lives so much so much more terrible in the process. Despite everything, his desire for the end of humanity and his installation as a god went completely unchallenged. Directly or indirectly, he singlehandedly caused half of the problems in the world of Xenoblade 2 in pursuit of these goals.
In conclusion,
A. Fuck Amalthus. All my homies hate Amalthus.
B. I am feral for these hopelessly tragic characters. As much as it tears my heart apart to see them struggle in futility, I enjoy them and their narratively-induced dooms so very deeply.

Actually, XBC3 Future Redeemed Spoilers Under here to do with something noted in one of the last cutscenes/people's misinterpretations
I think the big beef about why the Pneuma/Logos cores still being around/semi-sentient enough to "help out" is a lot because it wasn't explained, but I think a lot of people are missing a few points.
Obvs bc of my brand I gotta come in and defend Logos against the Moebius allegations before I get into everything else, but a big argument about how he and Pneuma being even remotely present "just perpetuates the xenoblade 2 feud" actually misses something mentioned. Whether Logos inhabits N's Sword or his Sword's sheath specifically, I think we are forgetting:
Z actually has no clue where it came from.
If it were to be moebius specific, he would know about it and how it came to be and so on and so forth. But he doesn't. He actively comments on how it's weird that N has it and wonders How He Got Ahold Of It. But he also Acknowledges Who/What It Is with his comment on Origin being home to "those who are as gods" in reference to the sword. Again, if it were a Moebius product, Z would know about it and how it got into people's hands. Even in the main game when Noah manifests it, X is irritated with both him AND N because the sword's existence is an inconvenience to every Moebius worth their salt.
Obviously that doesn't explain jack shit about HOW it happened. But Somehow N is running amok with the "Sword of the End" aka the Endbringer himself doctor sex (Malos/Logos), and Z is not exactly pleased but mot exactly troubled by it because it isn't actively bothering him yet. How did it come to be? Is it tied to the sword or the sheath considering N was toting around a Lucky Seven of his own prior to the Agnus Castle incident? who knows. My personal theory is that the same thing happened to Logos that happened to what i THINK happened with Pneuma.
The situation with Pneuma is...a bit more complicated, because of the ending of xenoblade 2, moreso than with Logos. We would presume both Pneuma and Malos were destroyed, but that wouldn't explain Mythra and Pyra's existence beyond that point. This goes more into what little we know about blade anatomy and how the Trinity Processor Cores of Logos and Pneuma interface with them. Seeing as they intake data, record it, and output it, it's very likely that Pneuma did a bit of a black box when handing Pyra and Mythra off to Rex. She took them, their essence, and just kinda yote it into their own vessels. Like a backup. They probably no longer had the ability of an Aegis, and I doubt they were more flesh- or blade-eater than they were mortal. That in and of itself doesn't get explained much, but I'm inclined to think the Pyra and Mythra that stay behind lived normal human lifespans.
I dont know what happened to Pyra and Mythra, but I do think that Pneuma was at least partially damaged. The aegis cores aka the Trinity Processor don't exactly respond to things the same way the average blade does. It's possible that while damaged, at least Pneuma was more intact than Logos was after XBC2.
I assume what happened is they were procured by someone (likely Nia) and kept safe as weaponry, because there's no way either of them would be fully functional as Trinity Processor cores (think: youve got 3 flash drives but only 1 of them is being recognized ik this analogy sucks its the best i got rn). Thats part of why Ontos goes apeshit and reverts to Alpha, after all.
Ontos has to do all of the problemsolving and decisionmaking that Pneuma and Logos did originally. The Alpha we meet is probably the aspect of Ontos specifically responsible for the creation of the separate worlds in the first place.
BUT, Back on the topic of the two other Processors and WTF is up with them. I dont think either of them were fully destroyed, it's likely they just returned to dormant states with no extant "avatars." So they couldn't just pop out of their cores and wander about and probably still even now can't yet, but they are probably still sentient and conscious, intaking info about the world. It's also shown they CAN heal each other, it's possible that if given enough time in Origin (considering it's an extension of Ontos) they'd just finish healing themselves and beat Ontos' ass as is their preordained purpose. But Again, given that Malos/Logos talked to Pneuma at the end of XBC2, I can only assume they're primarily non-functional and just kinda. sitting around for a bit inside their funny computer homes.
We know Lucky Seven is a Melia/Riki construct specifically and thats it's own can of worms, but I like to think Logos allied himself with N/Noah because he knew exactly what their end goal was but thats bc im a Malos Good Ending Truther. I originally personally thought that perhaps Noah's sheath/glove was Pneuma's doing, and the Sword of Origin was primarily Logos (and was just being held back by Noah's refusal to hurt people), but I'm hearing a lot about Pneuma being responsible for maintaining the Ouroboros stones, so if that's the case she's the one in charge of maintaining that power and the gauntlet is just Rule of Cool, and Origin metal is just something they can interface with because it's an extension of Ontos (currently by A/Alvis depending on the chosen gender presentation of the day, with Shulk and Rex taking the place of the other two Processors for a while to help out).
Although...Even though Lucky Seven and Ouroboros and such are metaphysical concepts given form, I'm inclined to just say outright that the sword itself is Logos simply bc it does monado arts oooo spooky.
But yeah. TLDR: Logos isnt allied with the Moebius he is strictly tied to N/Noah (although whether he's lucky seven or SPECIFICALLY the Origin Blade/When it Does Monado Shit) Pneuma is tied to either Noah's gauntlets or the ouroboros stones as a whole (although I believe the former rather than the latter bc its cooler imo), and they're used not only to beat Alpha back into place as Was Their Job in the DLC, but their job is to help finish up what Rex Shulk and co. started in making sure the worlds reunite. Also Noah is in for a rude awakening when he meets the inlaws and Mythra and Malos obliterate him for launching them into the ocean ok bye

Everytime I think about JinMalos for too long I want to die they make me so sad.
I saw someone on Twitter say that Malos could have won if he went to Elysium right after everyone ended up in Morytha, he didn’t have to look for Jin. But he didn’t go on ahead because he promised they’d go together

an idea in xenoblade 2 i wish they explored a bit more was the idea of blades changing depending on their driver, specifically with the aegis’s. it’s a huge part of malos’s character that he doesn’t know how much of what he wants to do is thanks to his own desire or just because of who he was awakened by, and it’s an incredible concept that adds a lot to him but it would’ve been cool to see these changes be more… shown?
i don’t think malos would be a great fit for this in the context of xenoblade 2’s story because he kinda needs to be your big bad guy and having him change to be… not that? would definitely harm the story. but i think they could’ve done something with mythra since we actually see her have two different drivers with addam and rex. admittedly rex and addam are super similar, and the way mythra’s personality manifests probably wouldn’t change a ton between the two of them. but i think it could’ve been interesting to see her acknowledge subtle changes to how she thinks and feels after being awakened by rex.
the thing that’s hard is that so much of what makes mythra compelling is how much she changes over the course of the xenoblade 2 timeline, and seeing her regain hope and desire to live after hating herself unrelentingly for so long, and i think this would be somewhat undercut by them stating that she was in some way fundamentally changed thanks to being awakened by rex. plus, we do get stuff like the theory and praxis questline that blatantly shows how blades can be changed depending on who their driver is. but i think it would’ve been interesting to explore how this principle would work for an aegis since they don’t return to a core crystal and lose their memories when their driver dies like all other blades do.

Heya, I'm Vee, 18+ years old, female (she/her) from the CET timezone! I'm looking for a few new Fandom Roleplays!
I'm looking for Canon x OC, FxM only (will double for AxA) and very much offer to Double! I only roleplay on Discord.
I am semi-literate to literate. I can write a couple paragraphs, but I prefere not having too much pressure when it comes to length. I usually type around the max. length on Discord, sometimes more. But somedays it might be a bit less.
I write my OC in first person and the character I double as (plus any additional ones) in third person.
I am in college and not the most active (most likely no rapid fire), yet I try to answer regularly and ask of my partner to be patient. Roleplaying is just a hobby for me, so I don't wanna force myself to reply, if I still got work to do or wanna spend my freetime with something else.
I am a big fan of Romance, Angst and Drama! I also like mature themes and topics, like unhealthy relationships, perhaps some yandere here and there and a couple AUs! Smut is possible, yet would I prefere to let it be an afterthought, instead of the whole story.
I also enjoy love triangles (or squares) and am always up to also double for those!
When it comes to Fandoms, those are the ones that I'm looking for, as well as which characters I'd wanna pair my OC with. The coloured ones are my favourites! I can double up as any names characters, as well as a bunch more!

We finally, finally get to the end of chapter 3!
Aww, she's sad about Vandham's death. I am too, tbh
She's very curious about what Pyra and Malos were saying about their "Father", to which I was as ambivalent as possible to avoid spoiling anything. (Roommate: "Oh, so they're like the horsemen of the apocalypse?"
She did briefly ask "wait, why does Malos have an American accent?" because we've been talking about the accents of the different people lately, but I don't think she's put it together quite yet that he's also an Aegis
Ah. 30 seconds into Mythra's introduction and she's like "I hate her. Mythra and Pyra both. They're so annoying."
Ah and there's the reveal! She was very surprised that Malos is also a Blade
Oh interesting, Pyra and Mythra were canonically at least somewhat awake for some part of their slumber, since Pyra mentions talking to her while they were asleep
Oh good, she's at least open to the possibility of liking Mythra in the future. I was a little worried about that, since Mythra is easily the best part about this game and if she doesn't end up liking her at least a little then the rest of the game is really not going to hit
She's running around Argentum trying to get to the top deck and in usual form, she fell off the top of the ship all the way down to the bottom

Fic-concept-type posting, part two. (Before everything is Zelda.) This one follows up on Future Redeemed; it could be part of the same continuity as my previously mentioned Lanz and Sena bit, but might not be, I don't know.
Shulk's got some work to do post-series. No-one knows how to deal with Monado-related issues better than he does... or Trinity Processor related ones, in some regards.
Following the separation of Aionios, the Logos processor ends up on the wrong side of the split. Still damaged, sure, but-
A: Shulk and the Machina crew have spent plenty of time working on Monado replicas. B: Whether or not he actively remembers it, the guy's spent ~1000 years 'in the system' with one of the Trinity and with the Driver to another. That's got to leave a mark.
When it starts to become clear that yes, reunification can/will happen, the prospect of having all the Trinity potentially operational or around to help starts to rear its head. Maybe the Bionis-world tech can do what the Alrestians can't?
And eventually... Shulk and co. manage to wake Malos up, as the last stage of the restoration process. (Or at least, The Aegis/Trinity Member Formerly Known As Malos, given the implications of that name and the way the other siblings have worked out.) Can a good hearted god-cleaver be a better influence than a corrupt god-wannabe? Probably not hard... Does it count as Shulk becoming a Driver? Do the pair make it over to Alrest before the reunification happens? If so, it definitely counts at that stage. And what does our Logos boy remember from his time being awful?
...also Malos as a weird 'uncle' around Nikol. Another 'brat' to react to. Just saying.
