Y’all for real please share your sunscreen recommendations I have been looking for years for a sunscreen that just works and won’t break me out and I can not find one for the life of me

I have body sunscreens that are great that just work and that smell good that don’t apply greasy that are moisturizing but the MINUTE i put it on my face I will be breaking out by the next day y’all please help

Skincare. Wonyoung has Flawless skin, finding a skincare routine that works for you can help you archive similar results!!

Wonyoungs skincare routine:

According to Google, Wonyoung only uses Innisfree products and starts by double cleansing her face, for that, she uses the Green Tea Cleansing Oil ($24), and the Green Tea Amino Acid Face Cleanser ($12)

To get the dewy class skin effect, hydration is key!! In the morning, Wonyoung likes using the Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($30) and the Dewy Glow Tone-up Cream ($26)

Of course, you can't forget SPF. Wonyoung uses the Mild Cica Sunscreen Tone-Up SPF 50+ PA ++++, which is also great for acne-prone and sensitive skin types!! :)

For her night routine, she likes the Retinol Cica Moisture Recovery Serum ($37) and the Dewy Glow Jelly Cream ($26).

Elevate your daily life:

Healthy diet. Eating nutritious and healthy food is the first and most important step to clear skin and an overall good feeling!! Make sure to eat enough protein (ex. yoghurt, chicken, tofu or eggs), lots of fruits and veggies, and healthy fats (ex. Avocados, fish, nuts, olive oil)!!

Exercise daily. Besides dancing, Wonyoung loves pilates!! You can find lots of great Pilates videos on YouTube!!

Work on your posture!! Having good posture will not only make you feel better but also lets you appear more confident, elegant and put together. Try daily stretching and exercises to improve it <3

Try establishing a proper morning and night routine, this can help you stay structured and relaxed even on more messy and busy days.

Content that makes you feel better!! Start watching channels like thewizardliz, vogue beauty secrets, and read motivating blogs. (like mine lol <3)

Makeup:

Wonyoung is known for her iconic glittery and feminine make-up!!

Light pink blush, plump lips, glowy skin and a glittery but not too heavy eye look.

Foundation on the centre of your face and blend outwards for a naturally contoured look.

Always apply your matt products before your shimmers, that way, your makeup looks cleaner!! Also, apply your glitters from finest to chunkiest. :)

Don't apply your shimmers/glitters past the middle of your eyelid to avoid looking puffy.

If you have warm-toned skin, go for peachy glitters, for cool-toned skin, choose a champagne-coloured one.

If your struggle with dark under eyes, blend your concealer with your fingers!! This will give it a lot more coverage.

do you avoid using sunscreen because it sets off your sensory sensitivities? me too!

just wanted to PSA as we head into summer that many Korean beauty brands have sunscreen that you can't feel, barely smell, and that is SPF 50. I use Etude House Sunprise on my face and it has changed my life. my wife favours the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick, which is similarly unnoticeable. you can get them (in Australia at least) at k-beauty stores in person or online.

dermatologists do not rate moisturisers with SPF - you need a proper barrier. the ozone layer has been bad lately, and we are heading for a hot ass summer, so please be safe.

I feel like you mentioned what sunscreen you like recently, and you are the only one whose recs I trust on this topic - thoughts?

No matter how many other SPFs I try I always come back to the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++. Truly the perfect silky, white cast free, quick dry down, semi-matte finish that also sits well under any other products. I really want to try their slightly reformulated Aqua Rich Protect Lotion which appears to be an even thinner and has a serum-like consistency.

I recently tried the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotic SPF50+ PA++++ and, I know I’m the single voice of dissent, but I didn't like it. I purchased it during a prescription serum change which made my skin very sensitive and caused peeling in places as it’s marketed for sensitive skin. But I quickly discovered if you have any texture or dry patches at all it sticks to them like glue. It also has a faint white cast, as despite my so-white-I-might-as-well-be-transparent skin I had to really rub it in which only sensitised my skin further. When I tried it again after the prescription change induced sensitisation was over, yes it has a nice finish when the skin is perfectly smooth, but the rubbing in process? Too laborious, too redness causing. I've used up the tube as body SPF, but I could only in good conscience recommend it to those with pale and dehydrated, not dry, skin.

I also tried the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ and found it far far too dewy for my oily/combination skin, even when applying in two thinner layers. I think the issue is the texture is so watery that when applying the correct amount it becomes a lot of product to apply at once. I’m using it up as body SPF. If you've got really dry skin and favour a very dewy look, it might be the one for you. However, the stick version of this SPF is excellent. By far the best reapplication stick I have ever tried.

The Kiehls Ultra Light Daily UV Defence SPF 50 PA++++ is an old favourite, but it does have a slight white cast and is extortionately priced given the better formulas (such as the Biore) that are out there.

my go to makeup routine in detail ~ 🪄

1. Wash face with a cleanser

product : cetaphil cleanser for oily skin

2. Sunscreen everywhere

product : Nivea sunscreen spf 50

3. Concealer where i need it

product : nars or tarte concealer

— i only use foundation if im going out or if i want to. It feels too heavy on my skin imo.

4. Blush <3

product : miss claire

— i apply a bit on my cheekbones and a very very small amount on my nose ! Sometimes i use a makeup sponge, my finger or a very fluffy blush :)

5. Highlighter

product : miss Claire

— i apply it using my finger or an eyeshadow brush but only a tiny bit of it, i dont want a lot !

6. Blush + highlighter on eyes

— i use the same products on the eyes just a bit darker or light depending on the occasion. Sometimes i dont wear any at all!

7. Eyeliner

product : idk i got it at the flea market

— i always do either a wing with an inner corner or around my eyelid only with no wing, kind of a bear eyeliner i guess , but sometimes i dont wear any :)

8. MASCARAAA

product : Maybelline colossal mascara

— its such a good mascara and gives so so much volume ! 100% recommend it. Never go anywhere without it !

9. Lipstick

product : Vaseline, maybelline New York lipstick in shade 660 or 373

— Vaseline always for lip care and over that i go in with either of the shades mentioned and just dab it on and spread it accordingly

10. Setting powder

product : Miss Claire setting powder

— idk when ur supposed to pt it but i put a bit after my makeup for a matte finish !

Beauty advice, links included. I am someone who has used high-end luxury products (Chanel creams, $60 foundation, $50 shampoo, etc.) and I am honestly more pleased with very inexpensive products that have given me better results. Some products I still use are more expensive (my perfume, my hair cream) because I like their results, but many times you don't need to spend more. Sharing below what I use regularly:

First advice is first of all, being kind, thoughtful, and gracious. Best "beautifier" for any human soul.

skin: Trader Joe's Almond Ginger Scent Oatmeal Exfoliant Bar in the morning bath ($3). I personally sleep in my makeup. / baths over showers whenever possible / don't over cleanse, natural oils are good, which is why I just wash my face 1x a day and it's just in the morning. / Retin-A cream (prescription, maybe $70+, but it'll last a long time - think 1-2 years). This is really all you need for your face (cures wrinkles, sun damage, acne, whatever you can think of - this is the top tier stuff even celebrities use, it doesn't get better than Retin-A). Use 1-2 per week at night on cleansed face. / body: Nivea 48-hour Cocoa Butter lotion ($8) I specifically put on feet, knees, elbows, hands before bed to soak in throughout the night. In the morning I'll use it if I shaved my legs or wherever else I want it to be supple. / use a silk pillowcase (not satin) for your pillow.

hair: Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner ($8 for both shampoo & conditioner). Again, I have used $50 keratin shampoo even and nothing comes close to this one. It is so inexpensive and works for my hair the best, I always come back to it even if I try others at times. I have mixed hair: straight, wavy, ringlets - all 3 in 1 and susceptible to humidity living near the beach and this smoothes it the best. / My moisturizing cream is more expensive ($52) Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Hair Cream. / I have been every hair color: I'm naturally medium-light brunette/blonde as a young child, I have been dyed dark brunette, blonde, brunette with highlights, balayage, and natural. I've never been black, red, or unnatural colors (i.e. pink, blue). My advice is to not dye your hair, perhaps just do balayage or some natural-looking "summer hair" highlights, but overall, natural hair color is the best. It is shiny and healthy. You can go all over blonde if it suits your skin tone or if you are naturally blonde, but overall I find it's so frying it doesn't always look that great if you're not a natural at least dark blonde-light brunette. If you have really dark hair (black) then your hair is naturally gorgeous as well, and highlights just look a touch artificial when I've seen it. I really like natural and there's always time to dye your hair when you go grey if you don't wish to be grey.

makeup: Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin with SPF 15 ($12) the best, again I will stray and use other products at times - like really nice ones - but I always come back to this. It looks natural, has SPF (I don't use sunscreen on my face when I am wearing this and it protects me from burns), and lasts. It just looks best on my skin, hands down. It looks like I am not wearing any foundation which I like. I am Sand Beige, but in the summer I add some dark concealer to the foundation when mixing on my hand before applying because I am often a bit more tan. / concealer: generally I would say NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30) , but I'm equally impressed with if not more so Milani Conceal + Perfect Longwear, Vegan, Cruelty-Free Liquid Concealer ($10). / mascara: Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara ($10) because it stays on throughout the day and is easy to take off the next morning with soap and water. If I want extra drama for a special occasion I would do MAC Macstack Mascara Superstack ($28). I used to love Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara ($5), but I find that although the results are gorgeous the product itself has changed a bit and it kind of travels a bit, i.e. smudges easily and through the day I find it darkens my under eye area. Other items I recommend: Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Hydrating Lip Plumper in Bubblegum Yum ($29 - this actually works and I believe does make your lips stay a bit plumper over time even, if you're into that thing. I don't do any fillers ever and this lipgloss works just fine for me). Chapstick (I use chapstick all the time throughout the day and before bed): PEPPERMINT ZUMBO KISS STICK although I find mine at CVS around Christmastime and stock up for the whole year by buying 2-3 of them, they are huge chapsticks not small ones. Lipliner (I don't use lipstick): Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner - Pillow Talk Collection ($24). The "Pillow Talk" color is the best and most universally flattering and the liner will last you probably 9-12 months. I use the Too Faced lip injection first thing when I do my makeup, let that work for a few minutes, wipe it off when it stops tingling/working, then I apply a bit of chapstick, then I line with the Pillowtalk and keep chapstick + another Pillowtalk in my purse throughout the day). I focus on lining especially a little (slightly) at the very top of my lip line for my top lip, filling in the Cupid's bow a bit, and I like the corners of my mouth to have more color so I line in there as well and it gives a nice, natural full look without even looking like you're wearing anything.
