Why does William still make such a big deal that he did killed Mike's brother, when he could just also say that he also did kill the others(missing kids)?
Why does he say that, with a hint of joy, after all those fucking years?
Yes it did clear up Garrett's murderer, but why does William still just. Say it?? Like he was happy to say that he did kill Garrett, and all??
After all those years, he sounds so full of pride and happiness that he gets to admit to the fact that he killed Garrett.
Which, really just has to mean that Garrett is his first victim.
We know the brother was killed and that the sister was born after.
We know they don't have custody and are not considered a possibility.
If they died, then how and when? If there alive that would raise even more questions.
I've seen people speculate that Mike was switched from being an afton to being an Emily in the movie cannon.
If we assume that's true, then there is a possibility answer. In some varrients of cannon, Henry falls into a depression and is divorced/losses custody after the death. Some variations of Henry build a robot to kill him. This robot could have killed both parents if the mom visited the house at the wrong time.
A main plot point of both the games and several of the books is sister location being hidden under the house.
It would be easy to believe the house Mike lives in used to be his parents' house. It would make sense for that house to be the one with the entrance.
It would be an easy way for the sequel to both give Mike a reason reason to go to movie fasbear frights and way to get to sister location.
Edit: ok, I later remembered that the dad left after the mom died, but the robot still could have been the thing that killed her.
