Okay I’m sorry but I can’t stop:

What if Jirou and Shouji who were on the forums and they recognize Izuku because let’s be real there are only so many people who fit ‘my mom refused to admit I had a Quirk as she thought it villainous and it’s like this’ and Izuku rings all the bells. Those two would just vibe so hard with him and be great friends. They’d step in when Bakugou loomed and would redirect when others commented on Izuku’s red eyes after screaming matches with his mother. Not to mention other musical members of the class!!

And like Hizashi still who cares so deeply for this kid. Who listens and helps and just… Izuku would so be calling them Yama or Bibi, or whatever soon enough even if it’s just in his head. And ahhhhh…

I’m sorry I’m just really excited for Bard!Izuku. It’s so much fun and I can imagine Izuku switching between hundreds of different instruments trying to find one that works in battle. (Violin is nice but it’s one that can’t be fully reinforced like it should be. A flute works but it’s a bit boring… just trying to find the perfect one for him.)

It would take them all of three ish minutes into the first day of UA for them to individually clock Izuku as on of their long time Internet friends which hilariously enough makes them clock each other as the same as well (mutant sound quirks were fare less rare than Izuku’s situation after all). Just a circle of spiderman pointing before the ease of years of friendship kicks in and wipes away the initial awkwardness. (Kyoka, who has been swearing as much violence as the mods allowed on Izuku’s bullies for years, also clocks Bakugou. She and Shouji are quick to close ranks around their friend after that, both of them silently promising to protect their friend now that they’re able to do so in person and not behind a computer screen.)

Hizashi who recognizes all three of them from what little spare time they can spend on the forum themself and makes their own promise to help all of them become the best heroes they can be, and intends on starting that process with getting Izuku out of that damn house.

I’m also really excited about bard zuku it’s a lot of fun!

The sundress came back. The other plastic circle broke. I know I'll sound old saying this, but they really don't make stuff like they used to.

My fixes from last time are holding well.

Now the extension work I did last time is just sitting there.

Mocking me.

I'm not tearing it all up to fix it perfectly because that would turn a five minute mend into An Event.

If everything goes well, then my family member will be out of the hospital this weekend. I'm happy but nervous because they will require various therapies/extra doctor appointments. A type of mending I'm familiar with, but being a caregiver is quite a lot. My empathies with all fellow caregivers.

Snippet from Middle School Is Challenging:

"It's not what it looks like," Eddie said immediately, and then regretted his phrasing. The kid looked even more afraid. "I mean- it IS what it looks like, but it's not as bad as it looks. Don't worry. He's fine. He's enjoying himself."

"Hbibfibe," Grant said reassuringly, giving an encouraging thumbs up in entirely the wrong direction.

"Seriously," Eddie pressed on as the girl glanced uncertainly behind him at Grant. "It's cool. I'm next."

Her brow slowly unknotted, fear becoming mere confusion tempered with mild wariness- the go to emotions for sixth graders interacting with anyone older than them. Eddie was comfortable with that.

"Aren't you supposed to be practicing with Linda?" He asked after another beat wherein she showed no signs of going anywhere. He didn't want to be a dick, but heads weren't going to scotch tape themselves, and he didn't want Linda hunting this kid down and complaining to the dean that Eddie had been sabotaging their act by distracting her. As if he'd need to, anyway. What were they doing again? Cheer? Ugh.

The little sixth grader shrugged nervously, neat blonde braids bobbing over her shoulders. He was having difficulty imagining this mousy kid successfully cheering on anything. It was undoubtedly gonna be The Linda Show out there, but even so, this was an odd choice of back up.

"Can he..." the girl began hesitantly, speaking for the first time in a voice almost as small and quiet as she was. "How is... uh... how is he breathing?"

That was a very fair question.

"...pores?" Eddie hazarded after a moment.

Behind him, Grant, who apparently could NOT breathe through his pores, suddenly seemed to black out and collapsed off of the chair.

"MAN DOWN!" Jeff shrieked as Eddie scrambled over to intervene, Linda's sidekick hot on his heels. "STAY WITH US, DUDE!"
