Aromantic Amy Rose is such an interesting idea because it makes you wonder what she would do when she's devoted to long to this idea of fairy tale romance, only to learn it's not really something she wants.

Would she be sad that she took so long to realize the truth? Angry at herself for wasting so much time? Guilty for pressuring Sonic when she thought this would make everything make sense?

Or maybe she would be relieved, because maybe forcing herself to focus so much on this romance was exhausting and just thought it's supposed to feel like that. Maybe she would feel liberated to know that she can approach her feelings in a way that feels right now. Maybe Amy is excited because being aromantic means opening herself up to new types of platonic love that she never considered before.

How does her relationship change with Sonic? Maybe she finds a kindred spirit in him, someone who also doesn't care for romance and she might be able to relate to. Maybe now that she doesn't have to force herself to feel things she doesn't enjoy, they can become closer, without the awkwardness and such. It could be the start of a new relationship for them.

What about her relationships with other characters? Who else might she go to when she learns she feels this way, whether they're aromantic or not? Perhaps Vanilla, who's been raising a daughter with no spouse in sight? Rouge, who constantly flirts but never actually settles down? Shadow, who understands what it's like to have something so important to your identity change and be forced to accept that your future is different now? There are plenty of possibilities.

Aromantic Amy just has so much potential.
