i spent another night making stuff up for whatever reason. that white space that led to mixopolis acts as a barrier between that & the parts of the world we've seen before that point. there is more that one barrier that divides the planet into at least 5 districts. they work like the backrooms; you don't know how you got there or how you'd get out. the mixamajig keyhole was the only natural entrance. those barriers were set up long ago by nixels. there were meant to be more. they won't last - 🎵

This means that, in Pothole, Zaptor sent himself and Vulk to the Backrooms and neither gave a shit and honestly I find that hilarious.

Also Wuzzo destroyed part of them, so I can see the last part as being true as well, although I don't think there'd be a barrier between Mixopolis and the outskirts. I feel like it'd be considered a more 'rural' area outside of town, but plenty of mixels still live there.

I'd imagine there are more mixes that can accidentally send themselves into the barriers. The possibility of this happening is also very rare, but taught in schools like first aid, stuff like how to get out and how to lower the chances of it happening in the first place.

“Mitten! ….Mitten? It’s me, I’ve got more ice in case those bruises were acting up again…and plenty of snacks!”

Was it hiding? Mitten was plenty skittish, but not against *me* so much…right? A smell floats up from the kitchen that turns my stomach, and discovering the brown and red stained blender flips it upside down and shakes until a new mess is left on the floor. Luckily I hadn’t eaten a heavy lunch… “MITTENS! Oh my God!”

“Oh my God ohmygod-“ How the heck did it get in the blender! How can I possibly get it out?! With trembling hands I try tipping the cup over into a bowl lined with paper towels.

Parts of Mitten fall out onto the floor, and other parts fall into the bowl. There's dried blood everywhere. The smell is overwhelming. Rotten.

Mitten gains consciousness very quickly after its little head is mostly in one piece again. Healing goes quickly, but not quickly enough, and you're left to tend to a mangled mess of a thing for hours. The body parts that are too far away don't magically connect back to its body - they're left to rot in the blender and the floor while Mitten grows brand new ones.

Oh, regrowing limbs... You've never seen such pain on tiny Mitten's face. The bones and muscles grow from its body, painfully, slowly, making Mitten cry and pant. It wishes it could've just died.

Benrey manages, just a second to late, to snatch the gun from the man's hands, and, in a fit of rage, bashes the butt of it against the man's face with a sickeningly wet crack. The man goes limp, nose a mangled mess.

on the topic of soyeon’s english lyrics, i feel like people forget that both minnie and yuqi are fluent in english and have been known to help with lyrics and producing. if soyeon’s lyrics are strange or incorrect, it’s on purpose. she has people who speak english looking at her stuff. it’s not bc she’s dumb or bad at english. it’s satire. but no one ever wants to give her the benefit of the doubt— or the benefit of her own creativity and intelligence. like do they really think a producer and lyricist as gifted as her ISN’T getting a second pair of eyes on her stuff and these are mistakes slipping through the cracks? she knows what she’s doing.

the soyeon's english lyrics / pronunciation comments have long passed the point of "constructive criticism" (whatever the FUCK people might even mean by that) and it's now just poorly veiled xenophobia and sexism tbh. exactly as you said it, both minnie and yuqi are fluent in english, and not only that they are BOTH well ingrained in the process of producing their albums. if they wanted to be singing pulitzer winning essays every comeback they would, with a nice clear high note at that. but bc its soyeon everything is a sign of incompetence. also gidle is hardly the first group to sing a song with english that arent 100% grammatically correct. if soyeon wrote jopping we'd never hear the end of it. "oooo but i cant understand what she is saying without subtitles" FML miss america from a whistle-stop at the deadest ass corner of united devastates wants english to be great again. bitches learned how to say oppa and now they think they're experts. every comeback since tomboy it's the same annoying yapping i'm honestly so tired.

My personal head-cannon would be that the Collector would often perform shadow puppets for Philip whenever he’s feeling down or when Caleb would be working late

Some headcanons/fun facts that I have would be

When Philip was younger Caleb would sing to him when he couldn't get to sleep and Philip sings those songs to the Collector

Evelyn actually likes Philip, but is scared for him because of how often he depends on violence

Evelyn is a few months older than Caleb

While Evelyn taught Philip and Caleb how to read, Caleb taught Philip how to write

Philip will sometimes put his hair in pig tails

Everyone has there own nicknames for Philip; Caleb calls him Pip, Evelyn calls him little bird and Collector calls him Flip

Philip tries to dislike Evelyn because he wants to keep his brother away from her but sometimes he looks for her comfort

Caleb has pyrophobia because their parents died in a house fire

Philip has claustrophobia because he would be put in a wooden box by his parents when he would misbehave

Collector has always wanted a palismen

THANK YOU I LOVE HIM SO DEARLY TOO!!!!! the backstory with absent parents and just. everything about seven... i think makes a lot of infamous ocs potentially lean into this?? or at least there are a ton of choices that just made me go "oh yeah. that's him" . idk there is an element to how infamous is written that really helps with characterising him, including how customisable it is, and i do love that about this IF!!!!! crying about him below the cut <3

aki kind of navigates the world worried his loved ones will leave him and is a little too clingy because of it. he also has been playing those worries off by being charming, flirty and funny. like he can somehow project this hyper-extrovered version of himself and try to make people love that !!! he drops that more around his bandmates/friends, but not in front of people he's just met (please guess who accidentally escalated the bed fight on the tour bus)

aki also hooks up with people a lot, just cause he likes sex but also because he enjoys the no-strings-attached. because of those attachment issues, when he gets something that feels black and white to him, something one-and-done and he leaves in the morning, he can just. take feelings out the equation. he knows its not meant to last so he can just walk out (leave! hit da bricks!!! walk out!!!!!)

committing to a romantic relationship . you can imagine. is a little complicated due to all this LMFAO he just overthinks and worries before even getting into it, regardless of if it's reciprocated or not. between the one time he's actually into someone (seven) and how that ended (...badly) + the fact that deliriously avoiding commiting to anything except hookups = very little (none at all) actual dating experience. aki has no idea to deal with it and will balk. yeah this is immature of him but i have plans to make this guy character develop so hard throughout the course of infamous that he may implode

i love the genre of character where they're just going "i know i have a few issues, who doesn't, but honestly i think i'm well adjusted!!" <- they are not well adjusted. in fact they're worse than they think

I wish my brain could make me think of something productive and not how the parental situation of some royal pain in the ass may or may not also be kinda fucked. anyway what kind of made up lore do you have of the orbitons cuz we were robbed in canon - 🎵

I agree huge F in the chat for the probably not great family lives of the Royal NaeNae Babies.

Anyhoo time for some funny made-up Orbiton Lore, buckle up! (also quick warning that these headcanons involve/mention things such as abuse, murder/death, trauma, etc. you've been warned)

I imagine the orbitons as a genetically engineered/artificial tribe that were basically meant to be the perfect Mixel tribe specifically designed for space travel (basically the Mixel-equivalents to the Star people from All Tomorrows) that were kept top-secret by the government until the project was eventually abandoned due to the orbitons that were created at the time were deemed to be incredibly unstable and a general threat to the public Niksput is the only one of the main orbitons to be born through natural means (ie not in a test tube or something)

Also to add on to the Government experiments part, the researchers that worked on the orbiton project did some pretty inhumane experiments on them. Most of these orbitons died from the experiments and the ones that did survive suffered severe mental health issues and were often deeply traumatized, so understandably a few of the orbitons became fed up by the cruelty of their creators and rebelled against them, leading to alot of dead bodies, and in some particularly cruel cases, the orbitons did some "experiments" of their own. M3 tries to make the Glowkies sound all scary when in reality the Infernites should've been more worried about the orbitons…

Niksput was born after the whole "orbiton project" fiasco and he doesn't have any traumatic issues though, making him the most "stable" of the main 3 orbitons, both mentally and physically!

Also due to being probably one of if not the newest tribe chronologically, Orbitons are considered to be EXTREMELY RARE, like you could easily fit the entire Orbiton population in like, a hockey rink or something, their population is THAT SMALL.
