I'm $300 from my goal.

Which means I've gotten $1100 of the $1400 I need for the dental appointment tomorrow morning. This whole thing has been so very stressful, without the consideration of having to ask for more help than i should have to.

Please, I know it's not a good time for anyone, but if you were ever interested in my work, or if you can spare even $5, I would appreciate the help. I really don't want to have to cancel my appointment and start this whole mess all over again.

im at the part of the unemployment/health chores where i am continually (politely!) harassing four different entities. why isn’t my shit done. why did you lose it. hello are you alive

#why aren’t my medical records transferred over. why aren’t my taxes done #why isn’t my unemployment here yet. why aren’t my OTHER medical records transferred yet #i bought new health insurance through the marketplace 🙃 expensive. i want to throw up. and changing all THAT over has been a nightmare #and i see a new primary care on fri morning #and i will need no fewer than seven referrals #i am betting on a six to nine waiting list for all of them which is why i feel ok doing it now whilst unemployed #and i need to. NEED to go to the dentist for them to give me a list of everything that’s wrong so i can take it to the dental college #and hopefully get better prices. but god almighty #still no unemployment money btw 🙃 im covered for rent for next month but a credit card is going to be late and i think at least one thing #will be overdrafted #and i still have not had a single response from any job or a single interview #and my cats still hate each other #and my beans have some sort of mosaic virus #truly so so so many trials and tribulations #this past year (last March to this March) has been the scariest and worst financial time of my Life and it’s not even over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #not feeling very adult and self sufficient and on top of it!!!!!

FORGOT to follow up on the root canal. IT WENT LOVELY!!!!! i love the people there theyre so so nice. the nurse noticed me shaking a lot and kind of crying after the first round of numbing shots bc i do very very bad at the dentist even w sedation beforehand. and she patted me on the shoulder and was like Listen. uve got your earbuds in, turn it up as MUCH as you need, and if you need us to stop just put your hand up and we'll be OUT of there . and i didnt even need to!! my mouth is sore but mostly Because of the sheer amount of numbing they need to do for it to work for me but my tooth is fine. my permanent crown appt is next week and im so happy for this nightmare to be over

AND FINALLY, ENDING HERE SINCE THIS IS GETTING LONG, I am very fond of my friends across the bay the Oakland Athletics!! I saw an insane headline yesterday about the A's playing at Oracle while their stadium is being built in Las Vegas. This was, to be clear, the most deranged thing I have ever read and it will never happen because Larry Baer would kill David Kaval and John Fischer in real life -- HOWEVER, the idea of the Baby O's interacting with the baby Giants because they would share a stadium and presumably clubhouse made me howl like a dog. First of all, Tony Kemp and Mike Yastrzemski would be great co-parents (they're in love, they're in love, and they DON'T care who knows it) and I think their combined power could right the sinking ships of both teams. second of all, I need to see what happens when you mix traumatized Oakland rookies with Giants rookies who are being forced to play Kaplerball. I think it would literally be catastrophically horny. the teams would invent several new mental illnesses. the amount of doubleheaders would have a horrible effect on San Francisco's water supply. I honestly think we'd get a like California Hockey situation, where you come to the Bay Area and get your ass kicked by both teams, who meanwhile lose every single away game they play and are at the bottom of their respective leagues. It would be so good and so bad and I don't think the teams OR the fanbases would ever recover. The whole thing is very we found love in a hopeless place. What would you do, if you were Casey Schmidt, and you met Lawrence Butler? You would be so horny, and so uncool about it.

Blake almost bails on Casey to hang out with Sean but when he floats the idea past Sean as they all dress to leave, Sean stares at him in disbelief. “Don’t be an idiot,” he says.

“Why? You’re my friend.” Blake doesn’t get the look on Sean’s face. He just wants Sean to feel better.

“So is Casey,” says Sean. “Stop making him feel bad.”

“You feel bad now,” protests Blake.

Sean stands up. He towers over Blake while Blake is sitting with one of his shoes half on. Sean puts both hands on Blake’s shoulders and bends down. “Blake,” he says very quietly. “It is Pride weekend. Casey is asking you to get a beer with him on Pride weekend.”

“Oh,” says Blake. He blinks. “Oh, okay. I thought Pride weekend was a couple weeks ago but I guess that explains all the lesbians I saw this morning when I walked to the grocery store. Like, Dyke March, because it’s Saturday, right? So he wants to get a beer with me on Pride weekend, which is meaningful. I guess.”

Sean presses his forehead against Blake’s. “Don’t squash his joy,” he says. “Not today. Not this weekend.”

He cups the back of Blake’s neck. “Or I’ll tell Craw you made Casey cry,” he says sweetly.

Sean straightens. Blake makes a face. “You’re supposed to be my friend,” he says. “You’re not supposed to give me a shovel talk.”

Sean flicks him in the forehead. “I got a hot date tonight. Don’t text.” He swaggers off.

“Don’t call me for a ride home because I’m busy tonight,” Blake yells after him. He puts on his shoes.

#this is kinda the worst week ever #my partner got a call from their dad saying they have to put down their dog (who’s 14 years old) #then their grandma got pneumonia and passed away in the hospital yesterday #everyone at my job got covid #so I’m working overtime #and someone at work accidentally broke my laptop which I can’t afford to replace bc I’m helping my mom get dental implants #just kinda overwhelmed #I might open up emergency commissions to help out #but yeah what a nightmare

opal was so well behaved (mostly because they had blankets scented with this drug that calms down cats we put it over her and she just became so eepy. it worked so well that a giant samoyed barking non-stop no breaks out of pure excitement for 5 minutes straight while bolting around in the same room as us didnt perturb her)

i pet her as she got her vaccination and she didnt even open her eyes when the needle was in. she let the. blanket cover her (she HATED being covered normally) because it made her feel so chilled. she only hissed when she got scooped. and the one time she did get agitated, when the vet was listening to her heartbeat, i started running my finger up her nose (have done so since she was a kitten 13/14 years ago) and the vet said her heart rate dropped immediately 🥺

#shes very healthy for a cat her age! #the only problems are; 1. shes lost muscle definition on her rught back leg. meaning she isnt putting weight on it #so it might be painful. we suspect arthritis. we are planning to out her on painkillers for a bit and then see the muscle development #2 weeks later #2. we have no idea how but she is missing teeth on her left side of her face. it was a quick look as she hates ppl looking in her mouth #but 2 teeth look broken off and theres inflamation so we will have to take a closer look in a dental #if the teeth are gone then she will be fine. will just get cream to soothe her gums #but if theyre broken we will need to put her under to take them out because the infection spreading to her jawbone would kill her #we're lucky we caught it so early #the only thing is we have no idea how this could have happened. it wasnt food or a cat fight. it would take a blunt force. #mum and my brother suspect she had a fall/messed up a jump and landed face first. shes done that before. #either way i look forward to alleviating as much pain as possible from her #also the prelim of the blood tests look great! no kidney disease!!!! i had suspected it cos she lost weight #but i think thats because the newish neighbiurs now know shes not a stray #and arent feeding her. shes a little nightmare #i love her tho shes baby #thought she would hold a grudge like she usually does but i found her by my heater an hour ago #and when she saw me she chirruped and showed me her belly so i know shes feeling good

woke up 30 min before my alarm this morning to find that the tooth pain i was dreaming about was, in fact, real and i had somehow tightly clenched my jaw in just the right way to put excessive pressure solely on my one tooth that already has a chip in it and i'm already constantly worrying about its structural integrity aaaaAAAAA

anyways it's been super sensitive all day and i've been worrying about it just shattering completely (irrational) until i realized that the terrifying occasional creaks i was feeling were NOT hairline fractures spreading but were instead a slight looseness in the gum that will surely/hopefully heal with time. i think

one of my teeth fell out 2day (3rd from my front teeth, very visible if i smile) and i miss it already, not only did it fit perfectly with one of my bottom ones, it hid the one behind it which is only half of a tooth now :-( & now i got this big distracting gap in my stupid littel mouth :-(
