When you start to play for fun and stay for the OTP, I mean... This game is great but the character development of Hope is awesome, he goes from sasuke to a totally badass Madara !!! I saw a few spoilers in Hope's tag and Hoperai's tag and he is goint to grow up :D holy cow HAHAHAHA, NOW HE HAS A CHANCE WITH LIGHT

Btw, this ship is going to sail ? I havent read any spoiler about this but as a can see here this game has a nice devolpment between the badass couple in Lightning returns

God How I miss those times when it was just Hope and Light with some nice interactions

First Thing First

You NEED to know what notes you’d like to change.

Here’s a list of Notes and documents in Outlast 2

So you’ll have idea where you’d find your own custom note

Done?

Okay Let’s yeet the original notes and change it into our own holy words ;))

1.  Find where yo damn fine steam

for example, mine is

D:\Steam

or you can simply do “Open file location”

Alright, you find the steam folder? then let’s get into the step 2

2. Search steamapps and open your Outlast 2

Steam\steamapps

If you are lazy enough, just copy this and paste to the columnSteam\steamapps\common\Outlast 2\OLGame\Localization\INT  (Include your own local disk)

This is where you can choose your own language. So, if you play the game in French, you click the FRA, instead of INT (International English)

3. THIS IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS

After you opened it, you should see at least something like this

it’s confusing at the first sight i know,  accuracy is something you’ll need.

4. Delete and change the text

now, all you need to do is search the note you desired to change (you need to know the title and the content. since the title can be different / uncomplete)

for example, i’ll change the “Letters from Nick to Knoth”

(try to stick around with the format. i.e. if it’s written  “/nGod Loves His Children”, then you should rewrite it like  “/nlmao i’m ded inside help”  )

(DON’T FORGET TO MAKE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL FILE TO PREVENT ERROR OR ELSE)

And Voila

after you save it,

play the game from Binaries

and if it works, it’ll look like this
