sometimes I think about how when Mike gives Jimmy his speech about "one day you'll wake up and realise you haven't thought about it" in bad choice road, he's not even telling the truth. he's not speaking for his personal experience with grief. he's copying the words of his daughter-in-law, the experiences of the healthier, better adjusted people in her support group. it was an anecdote that not only didn't resonate with him at all, but that made him angry to hear! he was furious that anyone could just move on! that someone could be grieving like he was, grieving the same person, even, and could do anything but dwell in misery all day. but it's the only comforting thing he can think to say. and maybe he's clinging onto the hope that one day he'll be there, too. maybe that's what he means when he says "when you know that, it all gets easier." but who knows? maybe he's just parroting the only thing he knows about how normal people deal with trauma. the one moment in the show someone outside of his family genuinely asks him for some honest emotional vulnerability he parrots something he heard at a support group with all the trite detachment he gives everything else. what the fuck.

So the eggs are in a deep sleep, which is somehow caused by the ghostberry thing. I think we'll have an explanation on that later on, but this stream just confirms what I've been thinking of yesterday. Especially Bobinho's comment of people being in a deep sleep. Idk, for me the eggs being in a coma right now makes sense while they're figuring out the situation with the admins. Although I miss them terribly, I didn't expect them to be back so soon- given that it seems this new admin team is still figuring things out.

Also I already feel myself getting attached to Nacho, but I also want to punt it into the stratosphere. Either Bad or Cucurucho gave birth after getting freaky with each other for a few weeks. Now that's crazy.

And I don't think Nacho is going to be an actual egg; they're just supposed to be like a little companion that will show up on people's streams every now and then to make things a little less depressing I think.

Wild to [re]watch a show like x files or OG law & order nowadays with someone who watches modern police and procedural shows. "Why doesn't he/she just shoot them?!" is a common refrain and like...............maybe because as recently as the 90s, it was not normal for cops to just SHOOT people? Regardless of how guilty? Or how close they are to getting away? Institutionalized murder used to be frowned upon??? Even in fiction???????? Anyway it's crazy how even people who are relatively pacifist or anti-gun or anti-capital punishment and who rail against abuses of power by real-life cops on the occasions it makes the news, have nonetheless been trained by television over the last decade or two to think that if the audience knows someone's bad it's okay to take a shot at their legs or any other part of them just because it's "pretend".
