if between S2/S3 of euphoria they brought back the special episodes, which 2 characters would you like them to highlight and what would you want the episodes to focus on?

HOWARD SISTERS SPECIAL EPISODE DUO!!!!! I need it

I made a twitter thread about this back in march so u know I've been thinking abt this extensively.....

I know a lot of people want Fexi special episodes but I really do not see that happening. I don’t think we'll see any updates on Fez until s3, bc I don’t think SL wants to knock down the anticipation there. I think AT MOST we will see Lexi wondering abt him. so I'm not even going to bother getting my hopes up!

I can also see Massie episodes (which is my 2nd choice after Howard sisters, the pairing works well I think) or 🤢 bc SL hates us, Cassie/Nate special episodes. OR another Rules update bc they ARE the main pairing of the show, or just Rue with anybody tbh.

my case for Cassie and Lexi:

s1 ended on a bad note for Rules, and the special episodes helped to explain WHY they got there and had them very briefly reunite at the end, if only to show that they both WANTED to fix things (which is why I think any of the above pairings I listed could work in the same way - none of them are on good terms)

I think of all of Cassie's relationships, the one she is most likely to fix first is with her sister. I know it's a little naive to think that things will 100% be okay between them because obviously a lot of people aren't on good terms with their siblings! but I think these two have a solid, loving foundation that shows they could reconcile. also - crucially - I don’t think either of them has done anything unforgivable. some people might think the play was unforgivable but I am not one of those people!

I think the vast majority of their issues stem from their shared trauma but they have not had a single conversation about it (a running theme on euphoria!!!) so I think special episodes could highlight how their trauma has pushed both of them into how they ended up where they are and the roles they play in their family and with their friends/significant others, AND led them to make the mistakes they've made and hurt each other the way they have (akin to the Rules special eps). again, Cassie has NOBODY in her corner rn which is why I think she could easily be paired off with anybody, but I think her making up with Lexi first is very realistic AND we still haven't gotten a lot of Lexi's specific backstory. the special episodes could mirror the Rules ones by having each sister doing her own lil deep dive into her issues (my brain always imagines Lexi writing something lol) before they like have a very brief convo in their room that shows us these two WANT to make up

Hi, Ik you love rules and dislike r*xi, I was wondering what you thought of Massie (Maddy/Cassie) as a ship, if you had any other euphoria ships and what you thought about euphoria characters other than Rue Jules and Lexi (like Maddy, Cassie and Kat) if you don’t mind lol

I like Maddy/Cassie a lot and I wish the writers would make them canon. (Though I know it probably won’t happen). But I mean…come on, Maddy called Cassie her soulmate! It also doesn’t help that I am not a fan of the canon ships Maddy and Cassie are in. (If you could even call the abusive mess that is Maddy/Nate a ship anyway).

So yeah. My other Euphoria ships outside of Rules is Maddy/Cassie and Kat/Ethan, the latter being the only valid Euphoria m/f ship. They’re cute and I hope they last for at least a while.

To be clear (just in case it wasn’t) I don’t hate Lexi as a character or anything. She’s fine. I just think she’s pretty underdeveloped and dull. So far anyway, that might change in S2. But I definitely don’t get how people are more invested in her than Jules.

My favorite character outside of Rue and Jules is probably Cassie, mostly because she reminds me a lot of my sister and I feel protective of her lol. But I also like Kat and Maddy. I’m not completely invested in them the way I am Rue and Jules though.
