This was based on some tweets going around of reactions from fans sitting in the same section as the dreamies. The crowd is getting excited as the pre-show music starts blaring. It’s the third night of six shows and you can’t wait to see some of your favorite artists on the planet again. You had missed the night before because tickets were hard to get for the Saturday show but your friend had luckily managed to get pretty good seats in a section near the extended stage that looped around the dome stadium. She nudges you with her arm and wiggles her eyebrows at you as you nervously fidget with the charm hanging off your lightstick. Suddenly you hear an increase in the noise level behind you and you see your friend’s eyes widen as she glances behind you but quickly whips back around.

Pulling your brows together in a furrow, you turn fully, knocking the seat with your lightstick covered in a large Doyoung decal that you had haphazardly applied on the subway on the way over. Jaemin stickers are covering the handle with a large beaded chain with “NANA” looped around your wrist keeping it securely in your hand. What you’re met with when you turn is the face of a stern looking man, moving quickly past the seats in the row behind you followed by a broad man, equally tall but covered in a black hoodie and mask, only showing crescents of eyes. An even taller man is beside him followed by a shorter one in glasses and a plaid cap. You can barely register what is happening as the eyes of the fourth man narrow at you, black mask covering most of his features, as he slides out of his jacket and the woman next to him folds it neatly in her lap.

You almost fall over as you realize, Na Jaemin, your ult bias and object of every desire is standing behind you at the NCT 127 Unity Tour. Your mouth drops open behind your own mask, eyes blinking rapidly as he narrows his eyes at you, giving you a look up and down. He’s tall and his strong biceps are peeking out under the simple white t-shirt you’ve seen him wear hundreds of times through your phone screen.

You suddenly want the floor to open up and swallow you whole but all you can do is stare at him blinking, moving your hand up your arm to try to control your shiver. Your concert outfit was cute but still casual, definitely not what you had worn if you had known you would have been seated in front of four of the most beautiful men on the planet.

Your friend is tugging on your arm and all you can do is continue to stare until Jaemin lifts a finger to his masked lips and then gestures for you to face forward. You flush deeply, whipping back around so fast that your lightstick clacks against the seat again and you swear you hear Renjun snicker behind you. Your friend meets your gaze with wide eyes, shaking her head lightly as you both lift your phones to record the opening to the show.

Your phone won’t unlock and you’re stuck trying multiple times before yanking down your mask and entering your passcode in defeat, only to receive a sharp jab in your side from your friend who is now alerting you to your lock screen. Jaemin’s all too recognisable face is covering the entire screen, accented with hearts, stars, and small bunny emojis. Swiping it open isn’t any better as there’s more widgets with his face there. You pull your camera app open as fast as you can, ignoring what you think is a laugh from him behind you. You convince yourself he was just laughing at a face Haechan just made on the big screen on stage.

When you move to sit for one of the next songs, you feel you make eye contact with Jaemin once more just as your Jaeminbun doll slips from your pocket and before you can reach down to grab it, he’s thrusting it forward toward you. Lips are near your ear and you feel breath fan out across the skin as the lights dim and the lightsticks flash in red in unison.

“I told you to stay facing forward. Bad girl,” he all but grunts at you, pushing the plushie into your hoodie pocket before backing away, still keeping eye contact with you.

You gulp and blink, nodding lightly at him as if confirming his statement. He looks annoyed but there’s also an unreadable expression on his face. You’re surprised no one around you is paying attention to the interaction but if they are, they probably assume you’re someone’s family member or a part of the staff based on how much he’s speaking to you.

“When the staff comes to get you later, follow them. Let’s see if you know how to listen to directions. Now sit down,” he continues with an eye roll, fingering the Jaehyun photocard dangling near your arm, letting the tips of his fingers brush against your bare wrist before dropping his hands back in front of his crotch.

A clearing of Jisung’s throat from next to him draws both of your attention and you take the opportunity to turn back around, visibly shaken and hands trembling. Your throat is impossibly dry and you can barely even sing along to your favorite song as it fills the air around you.

As the venue staff starts clearing the sections one by one at the end of the concert, a shorter woman comes to you, quietly bowing and gesturing for you and your friend to follow her. She leads you through winding hallways and through countless doors before gesturing for you to follow a large, burly man and getting your friend settled in a small seating area with water and snacks. She offers a small smile, eyes wide in disbelief as she settles into the couch with her phone, undoubtedly texting her boyfriend about the turn of events.

The security guard opens a final door and there Jaemin sits, knees pulled up on a plush couch, distracted by something on his phone. You can faintly hear Haechan’s loud laugh down the hall and you freeze, realising you might have to face your fears of seeing the rest of NCT in person during whatever the hell this was that was currently happening. It had to be the longest dream - or nightmare - of your life, there was no other explanation.

“Oh, so you can listen,” he teases, standing and letting his phone drop to the cushion, pushing his feet back into his sneakers and crossing to close the distance between you. He takes your bag from you and in one swift motion has your cheek in one hand and the other in your long hair, flowing around your shoulders and lightly curled.

“What other things are you good at, my little Nana worshipper?” he chides, tongue darting out over his lower lip as he looks down at your face, gazing at you tenderly.

You can’t find your words, instead pressing up into his hold and pushing your lips across his, snaking a hand up to his neck to angle his face to meet yours in a comfortable position. You can feel him smile into the kiss and you would rather never listen to music again than fumble the bag at this moment.

His hand in your hair tightens and you melt into his hold, sliding your hand up the hem of his t-shirt to feel the hard muscles of his back. A small moan falls from your trembling lips in the brief moment he breaks the kiss, long eyelashes daintily fluttering open to gaze upon you again before diving back in hungrily. His lips float down your neck, teeth grazing over your now exposed collarbone as you back him towards the couch, pushing him to sit.

He lets out a small, surprised yelp but spreads his legs eagerly, playing with the waistband of his sweatpants as you sink to your knees in front of him.

“Give me another instruction and you can see how well I take direction,” you purr out, hands sliding up his clothed calves, pushing him open even further.

Fire is in Jaemin’s eyes as he brings a strong hand up to your throat, cocking your head up and to the side as if he’s sizing you up. You can’t quite read the expression on his face and try to ignore the sounds that occasionally float from down the hallway. You had heard things about people being brought backstage after shows but nothing could have prepared you for this particular situation.

“Make me feel good, baby,” he replies quietly but firmly and it’s the only thing you need to hear before you’re yanking at his waistband and peppering kisses along his hip bone.

He’s hard and flushed at tip, matching the surprising amount of blush covering the tops of his cheeks. You smile slightly at this, wondering if he’s embarrassed, shy, or just horny.

The grip on your throat tightens lightly and you sense his impatience, lowering yourself down to lick a long stripe up the vein under his cock. Your eyes widen at his words and can’t find anything else to say as you round the corner, many pairs of familiar eyes boring into you as you bow your head, ashamed at your very presence.

“Well well well, so this is who made our Jaeminnie so distracted during our show,” Haechan smiles, popping a grape into his mouth. Mark smacks his arm and tugs him away from the group with an apologetic smile to you. There’s a couple laughs from other members nearby and all you can do is blush further.

A hooded figure from a nearby couch laughs low and you look over and realize it’s Jaehyun, a sleepy Doyoung’s head tilted to his shoulder. He shrugs off the dark haired man and stands, walking over to you as Jaemin hands your lightstick to him.

“Hmm not my favorite photocard,” Jaehyun sneers, pulling it out of the case and crumpling it in his hand.

Your mouth drops open in shock as he leans forward, brushing lips against your cheek and tasting the drying liquid missed in your hurried attempts to wipe your face. You see a demonic grin materalize on his face as he leans back, licking his lips menacingly. You swear you see him mouth the word “tasty” but can barely meet his gaze, Jaemin’s grip on your hand tightening.

“Down boy,” Jaemin mutters as Doyoung stirs on the couch, blinking heavily at the three of you before smirking.

“Let’s get out of here,” Doyoung sings out, suddenly sounding energetic and rising from the couch, reaching out for your hand.

“I’ve been told I’m really good at following instructions,” you manage to say with a shadow of confidence, Jaemin biting the inside of his cheek as you speak. Jaehyun just smiles, slinging an arm around Doyoung’s shoulder, nuzzling into his neck sweetly.

Who is Kim Young Jin?

The man behind the looks, bringing BTS' vision to life, from photo-folios, to music videos to high fashion magazine photoshoots.

Kim YoungJin and his team have worked with the members as a group and as individuals on their concerts and everything in between.

“Seoul-based stylist Youngjin Kim has been obsessed with fashion since he was a child, saving up his pocket money to buy magazines. “It was so special to me,” he remembers. After majoring in photography at college but leaning into the looks just as heavily, somebody suggested he give styling a go and well, the rest is history. These days, he’s working with BTS, but can also be found dressing the likes of NCT 127, Super M and Daniel Kang for cover features, campaigns and album artwork.”

👤What was your entry point to styling?

“I worked as an assistant to [Korean actor] Jin Oh Jeon’s stylist for about five years and came to understand the overall system of the Korean fashion scene. Looking back, that time was so precious; time that brought me to this moment, I guess.”

👤Tell us about the type of work you do.

“Styling for albums and projects such as “My Universe” by BTS and Coldplay is receiving tremendous attention on a global scale. Whenever I style an idol group, I think of a designer creating a collection. I mix and match clothes from different Japanese brands such as Comme des Garçons and Yohji Yamamoto, and I express my own aesthetic with styling to fit each concept. I also style various editorials for fashion magazines. I consider myself a fashion stylist, and when I first took on the role of an idol stylist, I was proud of demonstrating what kind of visuals could be created if a fashion stylist takes on an idol.”

Kim Youngjin has worked with the members on the brand ambassadorship endeavours, such as styling for mag shoots like the Valentino photoshoot with SUGA

👤Of course, a stylist doesn’t just ‘style’. You’re often a bridge between celebrities and brands — a look you introduce to an idol could quickly become a trend.

“Exactly. In many cases, celebrities or models with good momentum are recommended to brands or magazines, and if the celebrity is an ambassador of a fashion house, they communicate more closely with the fashion brand.”

👤What do you think is the most important thing in styling?

“I try to combine the latest fashion trends with classic items. For instance, I like pairing Levi's denim and casual sneakers with a Saint Laurent blazer. As details are crucial for men's clothes, the overall outfit is often impacted by details such as perfect length and sleeves.”

In Chapter 2 of BTS' journey, Kim YounJin has been part of many of the members solo projects that were even released post enlistment for some, such as j-hope LV campaign and styling for Esquire Magazine

👤Do you have a favourite brand or designer?

“I’ve always loved Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, which has had a huge impact on me as a stylist. I have such respect for a person who has accomplished what they’ve wanted to do for a long time — I think Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons are both great in that regard too.”

“I’m 32, so I was in elementary and middle school in the 1990s, which was when I started getting into fashion. Since I was really young, like 10 years old, I used to go downtown to buy clothes by myself. In elementary school, I wore baggy sweatshirts and jeans like this Balenciaga ensemble. I liked hip-hop and K-pop even back then and would dress up like this and dance at school festivals. Retro fashion is back in style, so it doesn’t at all look out of place or time to dress like this again.”

You were sooo excited!

It was going to be your first time going to an NCT concert.

Apart from working many summer jobs and sacrificing a lot to save up for this moment, you had no regrets. You make it to the line early, seeing all the tents outside and the fans coversating.

It filled you with happiness to finally be able to experience a real life concert instead of watching at home like you had been doing; which sucked a lot. The sun was already high in the sky and you could feel the cool summer breeze brush across your face.

You took in a deep breath of air, walking over to where the other fans were gathering to be let into the stadium. Suddenly, there's a lot of screaming. You turn your head to see what all the ruckus was about.

A white van rolled past you swiftly with big red words reading 'NCT 127' on it. You stood still, watching the van roll away and some fans chasing it with their phones.

This was going to be amazing.

- Fast forward to the concert

You managed to pay for floor seats which are really fucking expensive. You wave your lightstick in the air to the beat of the song, screaming and singing your heart out.

You can hear Taeil and Doyoung harmonizing. It's like the gates of heaven opening everytime they sing. Donghyuck's raspy vibrato adds on to it, really pulling the song together. Jaehyun's deep and soulful voice makes you feel things you never thought you'd feel.

Mark and Taeyong's rapping skills make you want to throw that ass back because it's so damn good. Too good. Taeyong's deep rapping voice with Mark's adlibs backing him up is definitely worth the money for this seat.

Jungwoo and Yuta sing too, making your heart melt. They sound amazing as well, almost causing you to shed a tear. You couldn't believe you were actually able to make it to this concert.

You can see all the members so clearly; admiring their features up close. They looked amazing, especially Johnny.

You'd choose that man over anyone any day. You turn on your phone camera and start recording. It must've been right on time because no sooner than you started rolling camera, the lights dimmed down and the song that was playing ended.

Everyone in the crowd started screaming when they saw Johnny, faced away from the camera and wearing a robe.

Your heart started to beat faster when you heard sensual music start playing.You watched with awe as Johnny moved from side to side, finally taking that robe off to reveal his toned back muscles flexing with every movement.

He turned to face the crowd which erupted with thousands of screams all at once.

Johnny smiled shyly, running a veiny hand down his abs before grabbing the pole and swinging both his legs in the air, and he's actually pretty graceful.

He looks into the camera seductively, and you can feel your knees going weak. He seriously had a choke hold on you. Nearing to the end of his performance, Johnny blows a kiss to the crowd and that does it for you. This man was unreal.

- Fast forward to the fan interactions

The boys have their lightsticks in the air and they're beaming at the crowd. Everyone is singing, some are crying, and others are just laughing and having a good time. You get chills, feeling as if this is where you really belong.

You see Taeyong make his way over towards where you were, leaning down and waving to everyone. Your eyes lock with his and you can feel his gaze. It's so intense.

People scream in your ear as he subtly bites his lip, eyeing your outfit. You gulp. He really does look intimidating, but it's the good type of intimidating.

Taeyong then snaps out of it, reaching for your lightstick. You hand it to him, feeling your heart beating everywhere. Literally everywhere.

He winks at you, and you need a second to catch your breath because holy shit. For a good thirty minutes, he stays on your side of the stage, waving to everyone and occasionally coming over to where you stood just so he could look at you. This was really your moment.

But not all good moments last long. No sooner than Taeyong began to wave his wrist in the air to twirl the lightstick around, it was like slow motion.

The green piece completely detached from the top, leaving the white piece in Taeyong's hand. His eyes grew wide, looking to see where it was headed. People around you scream, trying to help you move out of the way but it's too fast.

Just like that, the impact hits you in the forehead, knocking you out of balance. You fall against a couple of others, and they panic, calling for help. The music stops abruptly as the other members rush over to see what all the commotion was about.

Hello! Just want to say again that I'm glad I found your blog, your down-to-earth commentary, especially about the business side of it all, is very much appreciated :)

Hi. Thank you for letting me know, I'm glad you find some more down to earth posts useful. In part, I run this blog to offer an alternative in fandom experience.

Thing is, we, as k-pop fans and as people who don't work in showbusiness or South Korea, don't have enough knowledge, experience or inside information to have a strong educated opinion on most of things when it comes to idol companies and their executives. We can have opinions as customers - I like this music, this promotional strategy works on me, these outfits are ugly, this concept rocks -, but not as business analytics. Especially considering how much media play, false information and difference in cultures we face.

However, nowadays everyone has the illusion that they know better, that their opinion and feelings are valid when it comes to any topic. And spread and defend their opinion like it is the ultimate truth.

I've recently come across a twit starting with "it appears that" and ending with "for sure". In a span of a few sentences the fan offered an imaginary scenario and finished with a "this is truth". Of course to "prove" that SM is evil, heh. Such baseless statements easily play on fans' love for their biases, evoke an emotional response, call to arms, they give an answer to "Who is to blame?!", provide a target for unleashing frustration and anger.

When one solo-stan blames our bias, we can call bullshit because we know how things really are. When a fan blames Chris Lee or SM, other fans are ready to accept the words as believeable. Either because they share the sentiment, or have no own opinion on the matter, so any will do. If everyone around says the same thing, it should be true, afterall? That's how our brains are wired: follow the majority, agree with the tribe, mirror everyone's current emotion.

We can't see the inner works and we don't know the inner rules, but we can see the results of labour and sometimes a reflection of things.

When I came to k-pop, I knew SM as the company that overworks its artists, has lawsuits with them, is super strict. Broken in two halves TVXQ and EXO with half of its members gone weren't a good representation. So when I started to get to know NCT better, I started to wonder if I was lied to or that something had changed in SM (the latter). Neos were taught how to songwrite, SM persisted with good quality music for NCT despite the group not taking off right away, artists not looking slavelike, there was SMstation and interesting projects.

Sure, I can observe bad work: poorly prepared concerts (Link), constant failures with album production (omitting Doyoung's name, boring designs for 127), tasteless stylists, etc. However, I also see good work: artists flying first/business class and living in 5 star hotels, being given opportunity to go to the beach, museums, to enjoy sightseeing in new countries; opportunity to explore one's creativity (soundcloud, NCTLabs, solo performances for Link); SM giving artists second professions (MC, variety host, model) that will aid professional longevity (Doyoung hasn't finished school and doesn't have a degree, but I'm not worried for him, even if SM collapses, he'll always find a job. Same for Taeyong, he came as a blank page, now he is a songwriter and a producer, he can even become a choreographer); neos progressively being given more choice and say, their opinion being consulted and their ideas being implemented once they gain enough experience (Golden Dust story, Taeyong making his own setlist for his concert, Doyoung saying Unity should not have solo-stages, Ten choosing the mood and genre for his solo, etc).

Most importantly, I can see many friendships between neos and producers/managers, and that Haechan and Doyoung, who experienced all of SM's downsides personally and not once, continue to like the company. Meaning, the good should outweight the bad. At least for now.

Fans learnt the name of Chris Lee and continue to blame him for everything to this day, although he doesn't own any shares in SM and has stopped being a CEO a year ago. He is a token scapegoat.

Should I blindly trust fans or should I go read Wikipedia, interviews and listen to the guy himself? In situations like these I always choose the latter.

Sure, I can't tell if he evades taxes or participates in shady business, and what neos think of him (aside from Doyoung calling him "hyung" in public and not being afraid of getting punished for it), but I can see he was the person who overlooked all the early NCT songs (we have "Limitless", "Cherry bomb" thanks to him); created SMStation and SMClassics (say thank you for "Try again", "Star blossom"); found Dem Jointz ("Kick it", "Punch", "Sticker") and multiple other songwriters who now work for SM; brought to Korea the idea of songwriting camps, in which Kun participates nowadays and where he befriends foreign creators; invested SM money into a publishing company (and not a winery or a hotel business), which means SM artists will be secured to have a lot of songs to choose from in the future, and Korean young producers will have access to the global market. He has been with SM close to 20 years, and he is evidently a music nerd, ergo he understands artists and their love for music. So why should I hate him? I have no proof of him taking money away from neos, but I have evidence he was very essential to formation of NCT and the quality of SM sound being maintained. On the contrary, I'm inclined to suspect the quality of albums (song setlist, production) is raising again because he is back to supervising A&R in SM.

My Favorite Juno Moments of 2022

Hi Liberties. Today, as the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the top five moments from my AG bias Juno (at this point she's my ult but I'm still in denial sue me) this year. I made this post cause i think Juno had some cute moment with her members this but I didn't see anyone talking about them so I fixed it! Enjoy!!

Number 5 - Juno and Haruto

This was random and just like Juno to confirm this in the most unofficial way possible

At MAMA day 1, fans in attendance caught Juno and Haurto hugging during Treasure’s Rap line performance of VolKNo. Teumae and Czennie alike were puzzled about the odd pair(more so than the talkative pairing of YG!Doyoung and Aurora).

According to one of my Teumae friends, Haruto barely leaves the dorm without Jeongwoo, Jaehyuk and Asahi. When could he have even met Juno?

Juno has like fifteen bodyguards no including her members

Everyone’s questions were answered when Juno hopped on bubble a couple days after the show and posted a picture of herself, her brother(with his face covered) and Haruto posed together with the response

My brother and I finally saw our cousin after a long time. He’s grown so much! I’m proud of him!! Hwaiting Treasure!!

Any dating rumors were debunked as quickly as they came up. Days after, SM and YG both gave official statements for anyone who didn’t believe Juno’s word.

Number 4 - Juno claiming Taeyong’s closest for herself

Juno loves to frequent vlive, or now insta live, when she's bored. The lives usually amount to Juno doing something stupid in order to make the fans happy. That's actually how her mukbang streams start. A fan suggested ordering her favorite foods and recording it. Juno’s always down to do silly challenges for fans because quote a bitch ain’t never scared unquote.

In April, Juno did a vlive asking fans for suggestions on something she could do tomorrow on her day off. Juno even made her manager hold her to the promise.

“Raid Taeyong’s closet, OOOO!!! This is the one!”

Weeks later a video was uploaded to AG's channel where Juno walked into the 127 dorms and waltzed into Taeyong's room, opening his closet only to start throwing things around. In the background you can see Taeyong begin to question Juno’s actions but let it go (Even Taeyong know its better to not question any of Juno's actions). Juno paired a simple outfit together but she may have cheated a bit by using her own top but it was a look. Everyone agrees.

Number 3 - Junwoo matching outfits

The friendship between Jungwoo and Juno is TOP TIER! They are the best friends that you question if they’re together or not. They flirt with each other soo much, it’s laughable how there's been no announcement of their relationship becoming official. Alas, JunWoo stans only have so many moments to live off of and when one happens it sends them. Like this one.

At the SMTown concert in Suwon, Jungwoo and Juno arrived at separate times. Immediately fans noticed that the two were matching, wearing black jeans, gray hoodies, black beanies and white converses. Edited pictures of the two together cropped up everywhere online.

Later that night Juno updated her bubble with a selfie of the two in their matching outfits in one of the NCT green rooms

Number 2 - Juno reacting to an old ice skating performance

For anyone who doesn’t know, Juno used to be a professional figure skater. She’s actually won four medals (three silver and one gold).

This year was the seventh anniversary since she won her gold medal and to celebrate, Juno filmed a video of her and the AG members reacting to her gold winning performance.

They could show the recording but the music couldn’t be used so the girls watched it without sound. Though, the nice AG editors used NCT music in the background.

Before they hit play, Juno told us the song she chose was No One by Aly & AJ. Which lead to a bunch of nctiy edits with the original song

During the video, Juno provided commentary on how she was feeling throughout the whole performance, why she chose certain moves and how she styled her own costume.

Her performance was inspired by the movie Ice Princess. This movie, according to Juno’s mom, was the reason she wanted to become a figure skater in the first place. She even included a practical version of final move as the finish to her performance

In the video, Juno kind of trails off as tears form in her eyes. She just begins to watch her younger self. None of the girls notice until Moxy reaches over to just grips her hand. The two share a look, smile then Juno tucks herself into Moxy’s side

Number 1 - Juno’s 2000’s Music Party

Juno did more vlive’s this year than any other (it's as if Juno needs her own NCT unit to be apart of huh SM??)

Out of all the live’s she did, this one has to be the best one.

Juno decided to present all their millennial fans with a nostalgia trip of the highest regard. She sang every disney channel song she could find on youtube and spotify. Juno started with Hannah Montana and followed the rabbit hole further and further. That alone was everything the fans could ask for. What happened next was even better.

Slowly her other members stopped by promising to only stay a minute but the pull of nostalgia is too strong.

Hannah was first. She was dropping food off for Juno but when the Lilo and Stitch theme song came on, she pulled up a chair to belt ALL THE LYRICS.

Aurora came next only because she was in the building and heard Hannah and Juno losing their minds. Aurora sat in the back but when La La Land by Demi Lovato popped up, her eyes lit up. Hannah just handed over her karaoke mic and let Aurora sing with her whole chest.

I mean I knew Aurora could sing but she SLAYYYED Demi's high note like it was nothing. I need SM to give her and Yuta a Rock duo concept

Lastly, Moxy actually popped into the chat to compliment her members. When asked where she was, Moxy sent “I’m with 127 practicing.” She promised to stop by after practice.

Finally when she arrived, the other members just pushed a mic into her hand and proceeded to play EVERY SINGLE Cheetah Girls song. The live went an hour longer than it was supposed to. The girls kept begging to sing one more song before their manager could cut the live.

AG decided to end the live by singing We’re All In This Together but This wouldn’t be AG if they just sang it. No, they took the camera and set it up in a nearby dance studio to do the full dance as well. Their manager made them finish up after the song was over.

It was AG funnest live EVER. this live actually led to AGzen’s tweeting at Disney to get the girls on the channel in some capacity.

Some highlights include: AG making Nothing’s Wrong With Me from Pixel Perfect their song, Hannah slipping Boyfriend from BTR into the playlist, Moxy sing That’s So Raven and the girls playing air instruments (a la Breakthrough promotions) while singing Breakthrough from Lemonade Mouth

I had a dream I was buying NCT 127 tickets and I specifically remember the price being 67 dollars for some reason so it was obviously GA. And I just bought one ticket. But throughout the day I thought I should just buy two so I can ask my best friend to go. So I went on the website and looked to see if a seat beside mine was still available. The entire row was still available but it wasn't in the nosebleeds as I previously thought it was like three rows away from the stage. And the price of the seat went up to 89 so I just quickly bought it before it could go up any higher. Then the day of the concert I was planning out my outfit and deciding what bag to wear and my counselor had brought me over a pink couch she had bought me for New years? Then I was at the concert and it was chaotic but my entire section was completely empty so they allowed me and my best friend to sit higher like our finger tips were on the stage and Jungwoo kept making eye contact with me and smiled at me and did a weird biting growling motion at me. At one point through out the dream my nose was in his mouth and it made sense I don't know what that was about.

AHHH SI ES CIERTO! wowww que hermoso poder hablar en español también amo <3 but i'll just post this in english so everyone can understand it. honestly? it was hands down the best kpop concert i've been to hfksjdkkf (others i've seen were blackpink, nct 127 and loona) so it might not be a lot but holy shit. the crowd went APESHIT it was by far the best crowd for me and i think the best they have seen cause they said it too hfkdjfkg 😭 they sold out the venue and you could tell it was packed cause the energy was OFF THE WALLS....

so first the good things

in terms of their performance: man aespa have surely worked hard to beat the no stage presence allegations. i think you could really tell they've been on tour since the beginning of this year cause they have improved SOOO MUCH. they have developed a lot of crowd control skills and they truly interacted with us in there. giselle specially is a MASTER at interaction and i think the group benefits a lot from her

the vocals were great cause the backing track wasn't too loud and they did handheld mics for most of the setlist. ningning was working OVERTIME with the adlibs. winter did extended high notes for everything. they were so confident in their vocals it was amazing to see. there were no in-ear or sound issues as far as i could tell and the venue while not being the best acoustic wise it didn't mess with the experience. i do wanna say i'm sad there was no live band :( everything was just a recorded track

lastly PRODUCTION. oh man. OHHH MAN. this tour has a BUDGET cause the visuals were fucking lit 🔥 the whole stage setup was so good and the props were there, winter with the electric guitar is a HIGH point in this. in my experience there arent a lot of kpop groups that put so much thought into their design like this and aespa were milking tf out of the cybercore and kwangya concept cause the vcrs and screens were giving blade runner. i was mesmerized by the visuals in the screens

for the not so great things... I think their costume design was lacking so much 😭 there weren't a lot of costume changes and the outfits were pretty basic. they lacked cohesiveness and even for their solos it did feel like they just threw on whatever. SM insists on putting them in ugly ass school uniforms for like the entire last part of the set. and they use the shortest fucking skirt for ningning it makes me nauseous.

another weak point was the dancing. it simply didn't stand out as much as the rest of the stuff i mentioned but tbh the girls still put on a good show. they did full choreo for their biggest songs and the backup dancers helped elevate it a lot but a lot of the bsides didn't have or needed choreo you know? like im content with seeing them sing a great song rather than have them jump around the stage trying to do a bunch of choreo we don't even know. the moves were kinda meh and i get it cause they're bsides but yeah just stick to the full choreo for the title tracks.

but speaking of dancing, karina was SOOO good her solo was insane and she has truly improved so much as a main dancer! ningning blew us all out with her stuff too ngl that girl is the best dancer in the group after karina. bonus points for giselle as well cause she has definitely put in the work to become a better dancer and i appreciate how much she has improved her stage presence.

ngl there is a part of me that is soooooo pissed i wasn’t able to get floor tickets for nct because they should’ve seen my outfit damnit. like yes of course i want my unrealistic ~y/n moment~ like any other delusional kpop fan but above all else i think if a member of 127 had caught a glance of my concert outfit and thought “that’s a cool outfit that one girl has on” i would’ve spontaneously combusted (but in a good way)

NCT Taeil’s Motorcycle Injury Sparks Controversy Over SM Entertainment’s Handling

NCT Taeil, the main vocalist of the popular K-pop group NCT 127, has been involved in a motorcycle accident that left him with a fractured thigh. I went to the cinema to see the concert of my favorite K-pop artist, NCT 127 with a classmate from middle school who is also a fan of theirs. There were a lot of girls with their green outfits (cause it's the color of the boygroup) with their lightsticks and with a lot of other things that identify us as Kpop fans in general, which made me feel so happy and comfortable just for have the opportunity to know a lot of people of the same fandom. Also, I enjoyed it a lot, cause everyone was so excited we sang together hahaha

CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED SHINEE'S CONCERTS I HATE EVERYTHING. At least I watched the livestream 😭 and everyone was there, Jongin </333 Okay, love my 5th gen rookie Shinee <333 Hard is very "current bgs sound" it does sound like Nctee a little bit, but the vocals!!! Sounds like a banger tbh, it's not too weird so I can digest it quickly lmao. I like when Shinee is having fun, even though it may not be my fave TT from them, I feel like I may like it more than DCM. The MV was very NCT, perhaps not my fave, SM is a hit or miss with their music videos. Anyways, it's very 1st gen, got some Seo Taji and the Boys vibes. BUT THE BSIDEEEEEES!

It's frustrating because KQ can put so much thought and creativity into the lore, the MVs got so much better too, but the photos? And why do they only post one for each concept, Hybe drops 2737272 photos and they're usually really cool.

Shinee's concepts may be simple, but the Thom Browne ones are very aesthetically pleasing and the NCT-esque ones are fun too, because the pics are dynamic despite the boring background. Love all the boards you've prepared! I actually bought some more SM albums, particularly NCT's and Aespa's (I know, fuck SM, but I got a good deal) and the photos?! WOW. The issue is KQ is scared of taking risks, they can't commit fully, even the outfits for this comeback, we thought we'd be getting Yeehawteez, but it's so half-assed and we're back to fucking bikers and bodyguards, lol. Yes, Outlaw just like Movement is very cohesive, but I feel like that kind of cohesiveness is overrated and a bit too much. The songs blend in, I don't know where one ends and another one begins, and they're STACKED with noise and switch ups, so listening to the whole thing from the beginning to the end is a lot. ZFP1 is a cohesive album, it fits the late summer vibe, yet each song is very different. I'd say ZFP3 is similar.
