⭐️ THE LOST EPISODE (« FORCE FOG ») : A STAR WARS FAN COMIC ⭐️

Chapter 1 : « Fleeing » - Part two - Link to part one

Hey guys ! So as some of you may know, I was pretty much disappointed with the transition from episode 3 to episode 4 in the Kenobi series. 🥺 I love psychological stuff and I feel like they were sitting on solid gold after episode 3. I started toying with the idea of what got lost in translation, and so this comic was born. I wanted to focus more on Obi Wan’s journey, from the man we saw in episode 3 to the Jedi from episode 4. This is a fan comic so of course, adjustments were made and I’ll be tweaking another thing or two. Those are just my ideas haha, consider this a brain rot - but I hope you guys will enjoy it ! 🥰♥️

I’ll be releasing a few pages every week. There will be three chapters to this : Fleeing, Healing, Training.

so the latest episode of kenobi has me thinking about the droids of star wars. because like, droids have been and always will be such important characters in the star wars universe, but the last scene with NED-B truly made me get emotional. 

because what star wars does brilliantly is make us love droids. other media i find, more so now than ever, loves to paint our future with robots and droids as a horror. evil machines taking over. but here is star wars, over and over again going, ‘nah’. it starts obviously with R2 and C3PO, our tenacious originals, who are painstakingly loyal to first anakin, then to obi-wan and then leia and luke. who do everything in their power to help them, against all odds. then we got BB8, tiny yet brave. and then we get these amazing droids who were once programmed to be, but then changed for the better like K2SO! who is like if R2 could talk but maybe twenty times more done with everything, but still willing to do anything for his friends. or IG-11, who ends up doing very much the same. and now NED-B, a droid that would go lengths for this fledgling rebellion. hiding jedi, ready to bash some stormtroopers to protect a little girl. giving his friend cover in a hail of blasterfire at the end of his life. and thats only to name a few!

and droids in star wars find a way to be even more human than the human characters at times. ever defiant and most of which don't even have the ability to speak, but can still grasp at our hearts. and i think on droids serve as really good story-telling, metaphorically, that anyone can have a second chance. that we are more than “programming”. that anyone, even synthetic, can fight for what’s good and have boundless love and compassion.

NED-B The star of the Disney+ Kenobi series.

He comes in LEGO set 75334 which I was graciously sent by LEGO & @brickcentral to shoot for LEGO. I'm busy writing a review for this set because I was critical of it when it was announced but I was quite surprised by it when I got my hands on it. I should have that up on my blog in the next day or so.

Episode Five SPOILERS

I’m already reblogging all the things, but I had two three little things I wanted to say.

1. Leia put on her little gloves that Obi-Wan bought her before she climbed into the vent. T^T

2. I love watching Obi-Wan’s footwork when he’s fighting. He’s so light on his feet. He almost ‘hops’ with how quickly he bounces around. You can see it really well in his flashback duel. And I especially liked the little hop/kick he did at 18-19 minutes in, during the breach, while he’s swinging away (as he does).

3. I may ship NED-B and Tala? At the very least, they’re BFFs, but Tala immediately goes to NED once they’re back on Jabiim and then NED tries to shield her at the end??? Like...I was already having a ton of feelings about everything else, and then all that happened. :|
