...how would atsumu surprise you after being away?

you missed him, you missed the feeling of his arms wrapped around you and that beautiful smile he always plastered on his face. you missed his warmth and the way his cologne filled your senses even hours after he’d sprayed it on his t-shirt. he missed you too, your pretty face sitting up in those stands as you cheered him on and the way your lips felt against his. the facetime calls and flirty text messages were nice but they weren’t enough to sooth the aching of the heart. atsumu was tired of missing you, the tears that filled his eyes when he scrolled through the folder of photos of the two of you were growing old and all he wanted was to be able to be near you once more. that was the moment that he decided that he was done missing you. he wasn’t going to sit around and waste his time feeling lonely when he could clearly do something about it. that’s when he decided to take matters into his own hands and pay his love a visit. you were certainly taken aback when you walked into your brother-in-law’s restaurant, as you did every friday, only to see it completely empty. you didn’t even stop to look at the front door to see if the shop was closed but you assumed it wouldn’t be considering that friday was one of the busiest days for osamu. soon enough your confusion turned into shock as you watched atsumu emerge from the back room with a bouquet of flowers in his hand and a wobbly smile spread across his face. the flowers were gently discarded as you ran into his arms and felt his warmth once again. the two of you realized that you had never know how much you missed one another until you were holding each other once again.

the apple doesn’t fall far from the treehouse. fighting adult crime seems to run in the family, though times have changed in the past several decades. interactions between kids and teens slowly grew from hostile with weapons drawn to quieter and more understanding. they were starting to realize that perhaps they were not each other’s enemy and that it was the truly evil adults they should be focusing on.

before it could go that far, however, sector v was facing problems. when most of them were fresh faces, some still just cadets at the arctic training base, sector v’s leader and pilot at the time, wilder drilovsky (numbuh 61, son of patton drilovsky, formerly numbuh 60), was about to turn thirteen. a sad event, but one that was inevitable. everyone has to be decommissioned sometime.

the rest of sector v thought so too until wilder fought his way out of decommissioning and fled.

recently graduated cadet harrison uno (numbuh 361, son of nigel ‘numbuh 1′ uno and rachel t. ‘numbuh 362′ mckenzie) stepped up as the new leader of sector v. tomas drilovsky, wilder’s younger brother and numbuh 600, took this news the hardest.

the other sector v operatives here during this time were thea gilligan (numbuh 205, daughter of abigail ‘numbuh 5′ lincoln and hoagie p. ‘numbuh 2′ gilligan jr) and kana beatles (numbuh 43.0, daughter of kuki ‘numbuh 3′ sanban and wallabee ‘numbuh 4′ beatles). all operatives of sector v at the time were asked to be discreet about what transpired despite everyone finding out eventually.

in the five or so years following this incident, the relationship between kids and teens was at an all time high, and soon a real peace treaty was written up and signed. while there were some dissenters, most welcomed this change and, with it, the ability to be transferred to the new ‘teens next door’ when turning thirteen. the tnd tended to focus on stopping higher levels of crime.

it was around the time of this treaty that nene beatles (numbuh 34.0), jack beatles (numbuh 102, son of lou beatles, formerly known as the toiletnator), lennox gilligan (numbuh 2.5), and lissa gilligan (numbuh 5.2) joined sector v’s ranks, joining their family members.

not long after the treaty was signed, the soopreme leaduh stepped down due to entering the teens next door. they hand-picked thea gilligan as their successor, who took the job. this, however, caused a rift to grow between her and harrison uno, who believed that as sector v’s leader, if anyone should be asked, it should be him. this didn’t stop thea from taking the job and continuing in that role until she entered the teens next door.

now they are all in the teens next door, but some things never change. wilder is still considered an enemy, adult crime is still being stopped, and teens are continuing to do stupid things.

edited, 14/2/20XX: adding freya kang (numbuh 167, daughter of sonia and lee) to the list of subjects. while part of sector w, she is currently staying with sector v due to being unable to contact her own sector. they went to moonbase right before the invasion started, and as contact with moonbase has been cut off, she is searching for a way to restore it and bring her teammates back.

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun: Ghost Hotel’s Café (Part 1)

Sneaking into a collaboration café that has the image of a “ghost hotel”! A cute and horrific space where one can feel at home for an “eternity”.

The Ghost Hotel’s Café, a collaboration café for “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” - one of the mangas currently being serialized in G Fantasy (Square Enix) -, was held in Tokyo, Ikebukuro’s AniPara Café, for a limited period from 12/05/2019 to 02/11/2020. In this collaboration café, the inside of the shop was decorated with “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun”, where people can taste collaboration food and drinks, as well as purchase exclusive goods that cannot be acquired anywhere except in this café. This time, Pash! PLUS has been there for the first half of the event, which lasted from 12/05/2019 to 01/08/2020!

Welcome to the interior of the “Ghost Hotel”. You can relax here forever.

Ikebukuro’s AniPara Café is located on the 7th floor of a building that sits at a five-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro (the Seven-Eleven on the 1st floor is a landmark!). This time, the collaboration café is based on the image of “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” x “Ghost Hotel”, and when the door is opened, the characters of “Hanako-kun”, who became employees at the “Ghost Hotel”, will welcome you.

The adorable characters drawn by AidaIro-sensei are everywhere in the store! As there were already many pop-like and cute illustrations in display at the entrance, we were stuck there for a while. However, this is a “ghost hotel”. Perhaps something more than just cute may be waiting...!?

Enormous panels of Hanako-kun, Nene and Kou were installed at the entrance to the main floor. By the way, if you looked veeery closely at the panels, there was a certain hidden message in them, or something like that. What’s more, the characters of “Hanako-kun” were hiding around the store in miniature versions... Check out every corner if you visit this collaboration café. The playfulness of the “ghost hotel’s employees” may be hidden all over.

Moreover, an original story by AidaIro-sensei was posted on the official Twitter of this collaboration café (@hanakokuncafe). If you check the backstory that led to the opening of the Ghost Hotel in advance, you may enjoy it from a different perspective!

In addition, there are many display panels of “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” around the store. It is a luxurious space where you can enjoy the adorable and vivid world drawn by Aida-sensei during the meantime until the collaboration menu arrives. It’s cute everywhere.

And when it comes to the place where the protagonist Hanako-kun belongs to, it has to be the toilet. This collaboration café’s toilet is a beautiful one at first glance, but when you sit down...

Just like ghosts, they “suddenly” appear everywhere in the store. While at this collaboration café, it may be best to pay attention to signs of their presence, so that you will be ready to encounter them anytime.

When it comes to collaboration cafés, the food and drinks are indispensable! This collaboration café has the “Ghost Hotel’s Café Afternoon Tea”, which includes an invitation to the Ghost Hotel; Hanako-kun’s favorite food, “Hanako-kun’s Floaty Doughnut”; “Mistuba’s Showy Pasta”, a pink pasta that aims for “flashiness”; the sparkly “Mokke’s Delightful Candy Cake”, modeled after candies, the Mokke’s staple food; and “The Edible Plots of Nene from the Gardening Club”, which looks almost like a plot and has a connection with the fact that Nene is part of the gardening club.

Cute and unique foods and drinks such as “Natsuhiko’s Room Service Cocoa”, which has chocolates shaped as screws as its main point, and “Teru’s Holy Exorcist Blue Soda”, which seems to be refreshingly purified by a combination of blue syrup and lychee soda, also made an appearance.

On the occasion, we ordered “Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea” and “Nene’s Welcome Drink” out of the many menu items. We actually tried them!

■ “Hanako-kun's Vampire Berry Tea” 700 yen (tax included)

Berry tea with the image of a “vampire” Hanako! At first glance, it has a dark red, tomato juice-like color (metaphor), but it is a beautiful drink that looks like rubies when you hold it in the light.

On the topic of berry tea, there are many people who wonder, “Doesn’t the taste of the black tea get too light because the taste of berries is too strong?” but Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea presents a good balance between the taste of tea and of berries, so we wound up humming without thinking, “I was waiting for this balance!”. There are three types of berries as topping and you can enjoy their texture, so for the people who are indecisive about their drink, we recommend Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea!

■ “Nene’s Welcome Drink” 600 yen (tax included)

Nene’s Welcome Drink welcomes the visitors into the Ghost Hotel. Gold leaves floating on a pale bluish ramune soda, and rather than being “a nostalgic drink from childhood”, it has a mysterious beauty that makes you feel like you “might be able to go to a different world” if you drink it.

As the name “Welcome Drink” implies, you can enjoy a refreshing feeling with this beverage when it goes down your throat. It might be a good idea to firstly have a toast with Nene’s Welcome Drink, and then order the food and drinks that you are curious about!

Now, if you order a “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” collaboration food and drink, you can get a random coaster (9 types in the first half/12 types in the second half). ♪ (Picture is from the first half.)

And these story cards (12 types in total) are available at random for each visit!

Also, if you eat at the café for more than 1,500 yen and collect three stamps, you can get an original can mirror. This, too, is cute!

Come to this a cute and slightly horrific (?) space interwoven by “Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun”. Is it up to you whether or not you will become unable to ever return from the cozy Ghost Hotel.

2017 has already seen its fair share of tournaments, contests and other miscellaneous events and now we’ve announced our newest featured artist, Lukhash. With his arrival comes over 60 tracks all timed and ready to go. With such a huge range of songs now freely available, you’re sure to find something in here to suit your tastes.

The Monthly Beatmapping Contests are back in full swing with a new contest up and running. Our first MBC for 2017 will be for osu!catch featuring the sweet tunes of nanobii. It has been a while since we’ve held a MBC, so if you are interested in taking part, make sure to brush up on all the rules. Submissions will be open until the 26th of March, and if you’re unsure how long you have left, you can always check the contest listing for a countdown.

Year in and year out, we see a lot of tournaments hosted, but not much love is given for the smaller guys. So if you are one of the smaller guys who wants to join in the tournament fun, Xeious has you covered. He recently opened up his first tournament which will be single elementation, 1v1 matches for players ranked 30k-60k. Registrations will be open until the end of March, or until all 32 slots are filled. So if you’re planning to enter, best decide soon as spots are limited.

Scorewatch: March week 2 (With Scorewatch Patrol)

Before we get into this week's impressive plays, our fellow friends from the Scorewatch Patrol created a discord server, where you can give your suggestions about scores that are noteworthy. Feel free to drop by and help their team out or just have a casual osu!-oriented talk. With that said,

DanyL has pretty much established himself as one of the fastest growing DT players He set a crazy HDDT 93.06% FC on TrySail - High Free Spirits -TV.Ver- on Skystar’s Extra, gaining 645pp and surprisingly sniping Cookiezi off this difficulty. This is also his first ever 600pp play, and it helped him climb to 13th in the world. Watch out for him.

Step aside Ayachi Nene, yellowy246 has done the incredible stuff this week as well He pulled off an incredible 98.86% FC on Imperial Circus Dead Decadence - Uta, gaining 592pp, his first ever 500pp score (nearly hitting 600 even), and setting the (currently on the leaderboards) 10th FC. What can we say? Here’s the play!

Japan have sent their Top 6 to the World Cup this year (funnily enough, the Top 6 in the world as well), and it seems like they are preparing well. Maybe too well? _yu68 establishes Ramen Land’s dominance with a solid 99.39% 3 miss DT score on Sampling Masters MEGA & Tatsh - Weave Detonator, just 3 days after being ranked, churning out 704pp. 270BPM of drumming action is waiting to be watched!

Have you heard of Sousaki? Maybe? Maybe not? Well, he did make a surprising play on Dancing Dolls - monochrome(Asterisk Makina Remix), setting a monstrous HR 99.83% FC and getting 785pp. HR plays were also set on this play by Dusk and [224]Hyperw7, making this play seem out of the blue.

Seems like ExGon popped by osu!catch for a bit and pulled off a casual HDDT 99.91% FC on 8284 vs wa. - Adularescence, scoring 904pp. He then proceeded to HDDT 99.46% FC Hitsuji to Ojisan - XENO, scoring 1070pp. Is ExGon going to claim his crown back? We’ll have to watch and see!

NOTABLE MENTIONS:

XVoIR pulled off the next 4 mod FC on Mike Greene - Bill Nye the Science Guy Theme Song (Chinese Intro) with an insane HDHRNCFL 99.29% FC, gaining 582pp. It is also the highest recorded pp play with 4 mods enabled.

Totori went for the big money and big prizes by setting the No.1 score on The Quick Brown Fox - Big Money with a 97.46% 3 miss run.

applerss tried to outshine _yu68 on Camellia - Exit This Earth's Atomosphere with an impressive 95.34% HDDT FC, unfortunately getting 2nd on the map but earning 643pp.

TWC 2017 Week 0 Summary: Live Drawing Renewal - with magnomizer

As the spring season begins to roll in, we are greeted with the familiar sound of drums. It’s that time of year again – TWC has returned for its 7th installment!

This past Sunday saw the live drawings coupled with the much anticipated mappool showcase. Don’t worry if you’ve missed out, as you can still check out the VOD here, or settle for a brief summary below:

Like last year, we have 24 teams representing their respective countries and regions from all around the world. We re-welcome Finland, Norway and Ukraine with open arms, all of whom having last participated in TWC 2015. Inevitably, this also leads to the departure of three other countries, namely Italy, Singapore and the Philippines. We wish them all the best, and we hope to see them again next year.

With regards to the drawings, teams were initially sorted by rank into 3 tiers, then randomly split among 8 groups, found here. The whole drawing process was made more intense as Japan (the top seeded team) was last to be sorted – all other teams watched in trepidation as a result of this. Groups E, G and H are ones to watch out for, as I believe that the competition for 2nd place will be particularly fierce. For avid watchers who tuned in last year, Group A will see a rematch between Taiwan and the UK – definitely one to look out for as well.

As for the mappool showcase, there were moments of shock and disbelief throughout, as no one was remotely prepared for the surprise that Sayaka- and OnosakiHito had in store. Coming in with an average SR of 6.07* (a jump of 1.54* from the previous year), it is by far the highest star rated Group Stage pool across ALL world cups to date. The bar has been set extremely high, and for once we may even see some top seeded teams waver at this early stage.

The first match is scheduled to take place on Saturday 11 March, 12:00 UTC. Be sure to drop by the osu!live twitch channel this weekend. The atmosphere is literally buzzing with excitement, so make sure you are present to witness the start of the most hyped up TWC yet!

Strategy: AfDB wants to close Africa’s infrastructure gap with a $170 billion investment

The African lender launched Africa Investment Forum in Johannesburg on Tuesday

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has launched an initiative called the Africa Investment Forum to raise $130 to $170 billion. The fund will be targeted at closing the continent’s infrastructure gap in order to make it a place where young people can thrive.

The African lender launched the Africa Investment Forum in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

Akinwumi Adesina, AfDB president, during the launching of the forum, said Africa should not develop by begging, rather, it should be a place for business and investment.

During his speech, he emphasised that the forum wants to make “Africa a place where its young people can thrive.”

He added that "Africa's natural resources are badly managed and this happens partly as a result of poor negotiations and bad contracts.

“The African Investment Forum will provide a much-needed global platform that will help catalyse private-sector investments in Africa, by bringing in developers, strategic investors, venture capital funds, pension funds, global sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies.”

Dr Adesina added that “Africa urgently needs to industrialize. To make this happen, we need investments in infrastructure. At the African Development Bank, we are talking about using aid to massively leverage private capital to fund Africa’s development. Africa is not a poor continent. Nhlanhla Nene, South Africa’s Minister of Finance, while speaking at a meeting with the bank delegation on Monday, said: “The Africa Investment Forum is indeed Africa’s investment marketplace. We have no doubt that it will have the desired development impact. South Africa is not only a gateway for investments on the continent but also a leading African investor. We thank you for allowing South Africa to host the inaugural event.”

The forum is an open platform to organise efforts among multilateral institutions, governments and the private sector to improve the pipeline of projects that can transform the continent.

The AfDB is working with several global partners and stakeholders to make the African Investment Forum the springboard for African economic transformation.

According to AfDB, financing Africa’s Sustainable Development Goals will require an estimated US $600-700 billion per annum. Of this, approximately US $130-170 billion a year in infrastructure investment will be needed, to keep pace with demographic shifts, consumer demand, and economic development.

Last month, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the European Investment Bank, (EIB), agreed to support the creation of the new Development Bank of Nigeria with $70 million to strengthen lending for business and agriculture investment in the country.

From India to ‘buying’ South Africa: the rise and fall of the Guptas

On a sunny April morning in 2013, an Airbus A330-2 chartered from an Indian commercial airline arrived at the high-security Waterkloof Air Base in the South African capital of Pretoria.

As the passengers--many dressed in Indian finery for the start of a four-day wedding ceremony--made their way to SUVs waiting to whisk them to the Sun City luxury resort, a very different scene was unfolding in the dusty, South African farming town of Vrede.

Alerted by the reeking smell of dead animals, veterinarians in Vrede were making their way past the iron gates of a dairy farm linked to South Africa’s infamous Gupta family. Starved of funds and incompetently run, the Estina dairy farm was losing animals, many to malnutrition. It was later revealed that millions of rand in state funds, earmarked for the Vrede dairy project, were being laundered through Dubai to finance the Gupta family wedding extravaganza in Sun City.

It was the beginning of the end for the Gupta family, a decisive turn in an extraordinary saga of money, power, greed and chutzpah that played a part in the downfall of South African President Jacob Zuma.

Back in 2013, it seemed like no allegation against the wealthy, well-connected Guptas would stick. The Indian-born Gupta brothers had one asset that seemingly made them invincible: they had the president, and his family, in their deep pockets. The links between the Zumas and the Guptas were so close that the South African press began calling the family, “the Zuptas”.

But the sight of guests arriving for a wedding extravaganza at a high-security base reserved for heads-of-state and top officials was too public to ignore. By the time allegations emerged that state funds meant for a dairy farm were being routed to finance a Gupta family wedding, South Africa’s robust media and the public protector’s office was on the family’s case.

The Gupta family fortunes were crashing just as rapidly as they’d risen: from modest spice and soapstone powder traders in northern India to elite power circles in Africa’s biggest economy.

On Wednesday, police raided the sprawling Gupta family compound in the upscale Saxonwold neighbourhood of Johannesburg, arresting three people.

The swoop came a day after the country’s ruling ANC party ordered Zuma to resign, a decision the embattled South African president has called “unfair”. Zuma eventually resigned as South Africa’s president late Wednesday, a day before Parliament was due to hold a no-confidence vote against him.

The timing of the police raid on the Gupta residence raised eyebrows across the country, with many wondering if it was purely coincidental, or a sign that the “Zuptas” fortunes were tumbling along with Zuma’s political career.

According to a statement released by the Hawks, the South African police’s elite high-priority crimes unit, the raids were carried out in connection with the Vrede farm investigation.

For many South Africans, the sight of white cars--emblazoned with the Hawks emblem--outside the Gupta’s estate symbolised the fall of a family that had been able to take down finance ministers, sway the country’s energy policies to enrich their holdings, disrupt state negotiations and government bids, as well as wreck a thriving company so the family could snap it up on the cheap.

The Gupta family saga begins in Saharanpur, a gritty, industrial town in Uttar Pradesh, India, where the patriarch, Shiv Kumar Gupta, was a trader in spices and soapstone powders. The three boys, Ajay, Atul and Rajesh, born in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, were encouraged to go out into the world.

Ajay, the eldest, went to Russia. Atul was dispatched to South Africa since the father, according to family legend, believed Africa “was the next America”. The youngest, Rajesh [also known as Tony] did business in China.

It was the middle boy who struck it big. Arriving in Johannesburg just after the end of apartheid, Atul found a country opening up to business with none of the red tape and hurdles of his native India. In 1994, he started Sahara Computers, assembling cheap computers from imported parts for a growing market of South Africans emerging from poverty.

His two brothers soon joined him in South Africa, by which time Atul had already established contacts with senior ANC officials, including a close aide to South Africa’s then deputy president, Thabo Mbeki.

The Gupta family modus operandi appeared to be to cultivate officials at various levels of the ANC, including a former party security chief, Jacob Zuma.

Like many businessmen of Indian origins in Africa, the Guptas were equal opportunity political supporters, cultivating and enriching politicians and parties across ideological divides as an insurance against the uncertainties of the future.

But with Zuma, the Guptas appeared to have struck a mutually beneficial relationship. As the family’s business interests expanded; from computers, to mining, to media companies, the fortunes of the Zuma family also improved. At various points since the early 1990s, the Guptas have hired members of Zuma’s family, including the president’s son, Duduzane, his twin sister, Duduzile, and Bongi Ngema-Zuma, one of Zuma’s four wives--polygamy is permitted in South Africa.

The Guptas’ cosy relationship with Zuma might have continued if it had been maintained on a modest scale. But Zuma proved exceptionally amenable to corrupt practices that were bound to attract attention and investigations.

In South Africa, the term “state capture”--or the systematic ransacking of institutions to financially benefit individuals or groups--emerged from the economic textbooks to become a very real phenomenon that could not be ignored.

By the time Nhlanhla Nene lost his job as finance minister in December 2015 in a scandal dubbed “Nenegate,” the family’s extraordinary influence in government was beginning to emerge.

Nene’s deputy at that time, Mcebisi Jonas, told investigators that before his boss was dismissed, he was summoned to the Gupta family estate, where he met Ajay. The eldest Gupta brother was exceptionally direct, Jonas told the public protector in a sworn affidavit. Nene was becoming a hindrance and the family was happy to transfer 600 million rand [approximately €40 million] into Jonas’s bank account if he was willing to take over the top Treasury post. If Jonas had bags with him, he was told he could have 600,000 rand in cash right away.

The Gupta family denied ever meeting Jonas, but phone records obtained by South Africa’s public protector appeared to corroborate his story.

Nene’s successor, Des van Rooyen, an unknown backbencher with no financial experience, lasted three days before he was replaced by Pravin Gordhan, who lasted 15 months before he too lost his job.

According to US business news organisation Bloomberg, Gordhan, like Nene, had resisted a nuclear deal between South Africa and Russia, which was being pushed by Zuma after the Gupta family’s investment company borrowed about 250 million rand from a state bank to buy a South African uranium mine.

More sinister still were the death threats received by South Africa’s gutsy former public protector, Thuli Madonsela, shortly after she decided to spend her last months on the job investigating the events leading to Nene’s firing.

Madonsela completed the 355-page report a day before her term ended, in October 2016. Zuma had already sued to block the release of her report, but failed. Madonsela’s extensive investigation, which included cell phone records of the Gupta brothers and their associates, has since become the basis of several investigations into corruption allegations against Zuma.

In the early days, the family adopted an exceptionally tough line when it came to denying corruption allegations.

At times, the denials appeared contradictory, but that didn’t matter. In the case of the wedding plane landing at the Waterkloof Air Base, for instance, the family told an Indian newspaper that Atul Gupta was a special advisor to a former president of Lesotho, and had been awarded a diplomatic passport in that capacity. To the South African press however, the family first claimed that the high-security base was used because the nearby Lanseria airport “could not accommodate the size of the jet chartered by the family”, which turned out to be false. They later insisted that the Indian High Commission office in South Africa had requested use of the air base.

But in the end, the Guptas pushing back on the media backfired in an explosive fashion.

Faced with growing corruption allegations, the family hired British public relations firm Bell Pottinger in early 2016.

But a year after Bell Pottinger acquired the Gupta account, the PR firm was caught in a national scandal, accused of using furtive Twitter bots to spark racial tensions with an incendiary message against South Africa’s “white monopoly capital”. By September 2017, the London-based firm went into administration [bankruptcy], accused of conducting a campaign on “a completely new scale of awfulness”.

Bell Pottinger was just one of several companies, including international banks and global auditors, getting burned by their association with the Guptas.

The family business, it appears, was too toxic even for a PR firm that once served autocrats and repressive regimes across the world.

For an Indian immigrant family to hire a PR firm to whip up racial tensions to enrich themselves was a new low.

The corruption allegations and investigations are nowhere near over. More than two decades after the Gupta brothers left Saharanpur, their worlds have irrevocably changed and it’s not necessarily for the better.

the second he left for america his heart definitely shattered. he would put on a tough front for you, telling you not to be upset before placing a kiss to your forehead and boarding his plane. however, the second he turns around to start walking to the gate for his plane he can feel the tears well up in his eyes, the realization that he’s leaving his better half behind for more than a few hours finally settling in. during the time he would be away, the two of you would keep in touch as often as you could, calling and texting each other whenever you got the chance. the atmosphere between the two of you remained the same, loving and playful, but that didn’t make up for the miles between the two of you. your love knew no distance, but both you and iwaizumi couldn’t deny that you were always your happiest right by each other’s side. so after months of being away, he had finally made enough time in his schedule to reserve a week to come see you again. his only issue was that he wanted to come home via surprise, but you were a major roadblock for him due to how you handled surprises. every birthday, every holiday, every anniversary, he would attempt [and fail] to surprise you, but this time he was determined to make this work. he called up makki and mattsun, who were very up to date with you and your schedule, to help him plan everything. in the end, you had been fooled into believing that makki had to go abroad to visit family but mattsun’s car had broken down, thus leaving you to drive them all the way to the nearest airport. your schedule was free so you happily agreed to be of assistance. once you got there, you were dragged out of the car before having hands frantically placed over your eyes, loud hushes and chuckles filled your ears as a confused smile found it’s way to your lips at the secrecy. soon enough, the hands covering your eyes were replaced with ones much larger and warmer then you had felt prior. soft breath ticked your neck before the mysterious figured whisped “i missed you, princess.” you immediately recognized the voice as tears filled your eyes. you whipped around and buried your face into your boyfriend’s broad chest, taking in his scent and warmth that you’d missed so much. the two of you stood in each other’s presence for a moment before makki and mattsun interrupted the reunion, rushing the two of you in the car due to their eagerness to hear all about iwaizumi’s time in america. it was safe to say that after that, you never heard the end of how iwa had finally managed to surprise you. however you didn’t mind, because he did surprise you, and it was one of the best surprises you’d ever received.

So my selfship is with Sugawara 💗

Some stuff about my selfship is that we're that couple who are seen by acquaintances as the cool, calm and mature couple who love each other but are collected and kind but not all over the place - the people who know us know that, while that is true, we're just two chaotic idiots in love who will have both days when we like next to each other and relax and cuddle and talk and are loving - and days when we spontaneously paint the walls or buy plants or bake a 5 tiered cake or run giggling through town despite how self conscious we might be normally, buying supplies with which to surprise the team or maybe set off a few harmless pranks (I went overboard sorry bae)

And uh... Some stuff about me, let's see uh I can get really excited over small things and will talk loads if I'm comfy with you (and I boing when I do this) and I like to tackle hug or hugs in general I'm just all around physically affectionate (I hope that's enough info!)

As for my opinion on romantic gestures... I LOVE them HONESTLY traditional romance is the cutest thing to me, even though I've never experienced it... hi, this is my first time sending a request so i’m so sorry if i’m doing this wrong! i love your blog and writings- congrats on 600!! that’s a huge milestone :)) could i do event #1 with sakusa, we know each other because i’m a sports medic/manager for any other team (i love all of them haha) and i notice his germaphobia, so when he gets injured, i make sure to patch him up in the way that makes him feel the most comfortable and we sort of bond over that. but we have similar style of speaking so it’s a combination of snappiness and warmth. i have no idea if that made sense, ahh i’m sorry. either way, congrats again!! i hope you have a great day :))

...how would sakusa ask for your number?

sakusa really didn’t get too involved with anyone on his team other than his coach and team mates. he was never impolite to anyone though, always offering a small smile or a wave in greeting, but he never saw the point in spending time socializing with anyone that he didn’t need to. that was until you got hired to be the sports medic for his team. you were kind to everyone that you worked with and never failed to make anyone you were around feel comfortable. you were understanding and gentle when it came to him as well, so much so that he didn’t mind a cut or bruise if that meant being able to be patched up by you. overtime the two of you grew closer, small good mornings turned into fruitful conversation and bidding each other farewell turned into walking each other to the parking lot of the gym. it wasn’t until atsumu pointed out the connection between the two of you that sakusa walked up to you and bluntly asked you for your number, tired of not being able to enjoy conversations or time together outside of work. you happily agreed and sakusa left you with a smile on his face and a new contact on his list.
