are people really retconning a dead trans persons identity and claiming he was a trans boy??? omg i hate it here

to be clear, the problem isn’t people “retconning his identity” (unless they’re erasing the fact that he was trans altogether, which a lot of cis people are doing and that’s absolutely a problem in its own right). the problem is people focusing on and speculating about his identity at all, because the fact of the matter is that we don’t know how he would’ve described his gender and that’s also not what matters at all. we know that he was trans, we know how he would want us to refer to him, and we know that he died a tragically early and unjust death. whether he saw himself as just a trans boy, just nonbinary, a nonbinary trans boy, or something else, we don’t know because he’s not here to tell us, and responding to the fact that he’s not here anymore and the conditions that led to that tragedy is far more important than talking about what labels he might’ve used. i wish he was here to tell us but he’s not, and he deserves better than having his death used as an excuse to start identity discourse.

Oh. So, so much. People have amazing ideas. One I've always liked is when people grab him, shake him, and proclaim him Best Friend Material (i am people).

Not in a sense that he's especially ooc, but he just... does the little things. He gives offhanded comments about how you look like shit and whips you up something to "kill your tastebuds" before scuttling off to do his thing alone. Flops into the seat next to you when you're doing your homework So Wrong and he has to help bcuz it hurts to watch. Can and will gossip with you about that shitty person who dumped you while you do nails together and watch a movie.

He isn't the kind to coddle you or always be ready to listen to all your troubles -- emotions are Difficult and he struggles enough with his own --, but he's dependable when it counts. He doesn't have a very big social battery, but he cares. In his own way.

I do think she'd actually use a money symbol tho, even when she does become a pro hero, simply for the bit. I imagine her much more expressive when shes older, so i think she would eventually use 😤💅🤝😭 and similar when talking to friends/being silly, 🌸 all the flowers, and she likes to post about adventures/food while using corresponding emojis. When she hears The Tea about a friend's woes with a friend/lover/stranger, she would Definitely be "where are they lets square up 🤛🤛🤛🤛" before comforting them

What headcanons DONT i have for him he takes up all the brain space. Absolutely breaking the rules and going rapidfire fun fact happy hour

He has a little tilt to his jaw thats almost imperceptible if you aren't looking close (Katsuki Percieves) so when he talks you can see that his teeth align just a bit off

Absolutely fantastic gift-giver

His voice gets a little deeper and has more grit when he mumbles (aka Katsuki's human ASMR machine)

Wait did I miss something? Doesn't Nex use they/them pronouns? /gen

nex used he/him and they/them, but his friends have said he preferred he/him. so referring to him with they/them isn’t really misgendering him, but it also isn’t the terms he liked best. that’s why i’ve been sticking to he/him since i found out. i don’t have the links to the article where his friends said that on hand, but if you look through the tag of his name on here, i know i saw quite a few posts with links to it when it came out.
