I’m OBSESSED with the choices in last episode
- the first thing he remembers is Eddie calling him “cowboy”. The second thing he remembers is the Chris screaming in the tsunami.
- Buck literally thinking “you know who would believe that I’m trapped in an alternate reality? Chimney” and being RIGHT
- Thunder by Imagine Dragons playing when he goes to Chimney’s house
- “I know why your name is Chimney” and CUT. So good. I hope we never find out why his name is Chimney.
- They literally said “Buck is the only reason Bobby is alive. He’s also the only reason Eddie didn’t lose his son after a nasty custody battle btw” and I’m supposed to be normal about this????
- A guy goes into a coma and the entire A-shift doesn’t show up for work for like a week.
- That’s why the firefighter who went to Maddie’s house looked so mad, he was probably thinking “these freaks are gonna be MIA for god-knows-how-long. why are they so weird about each other”.
- Eddie looked sooooooo bad. Props to Ryan Guzman for looking like he hadn’t showered or slept in a week for the entire episode.
- we thought Eddie was gonna bring Chris to say goodbye but somehow it’s even worse???????? Chris getting so mad Carla had no choice but bring him to the hospital and then saying “you HAVE TO come back” because he has no choice, there’s no way he would leave them.
- Stoic-always-keep-his-cool-Eddie-Diaz randomly crying in the background A+++
- Everyone looks like they’re ready to jump off a bridge if things go south and May looks like she just shot a Dyson Airwrap commercial
- BOBBY. Oh my god Bobby.
- “Mom brought two kids into the marriage. You brought one”. Canon “Bobby Nash is Evan “Buck” Buckley parental figure” ao3 tag??? This FUCKING SHOW. I have no words. This is all i’ve ever wanted since Season 1 Episode 1.
- Sorry to insist on this but THAT’S HIS SON
- Buck decides to leave a world where his parents love him because he can’t save Bobby there. THAT’S HIS DAD. Buck Nash 4Ever.
- I already said it. I literally don’t give a shit about the Buckley parents. me @ their redemption arc: argue with the wall. Same goes for Chim’s dad. I have no idea why they decided to go with the “blood is thicker than water” stuff but that’s very conservative of them and I hate it. I’m gonna pretend the last 5-6 minutes don’t exist.
- Who did Buck go home with? I have no idea but probably Bobby or Eddie.
- i‘ m sorry but Buck running with Fix You playing in the background was too funny. And that’s what you missed on Glee.
- His imagination gives him Chris who’s looking for Eddie to convince him to stay in the dream. This means absolutely nothing.
- I was terrified what bullshit lesson he was gonna have to learn to wake up but what he had to learn was: you don’t have to fix everything, you just have to be Buck.
- Once again, Bobby and Buck relationship has my whole heart <333

If you know me, you know one of my favourite tropes is “Found Family” specifically, “Found-Father/Son Relationships”.
That’s one of the big reasons I love the show “911″ - it’s because of Buck and Bobby.
And that was also my favourite thing about the show “NCIS” - Tony and Gibbs’ relationship.
And as “911″ goes on (especially with the episode “In a Flash”, that just aired) Buck and Bobby’s relationship gets stronger and their father-son dynamic gets so much more solidified, and reminds me so much of Tony and Gibbs of “NCIS”.
Bobby and Gibbs were both fathers and husbands once upon a time, before tragedy struck and took their wives and kids from them. Buck and Tony grew up around parents that barely paid attention to them at all (with Tony, it was his father, with Buck, it was both his parents), so they would push the limit and act out - Tony, with his humorous and flirtatious personality to get attention from women and well, anyone, and Buck with his rebellious, daredevil personality to vent his emotions.
Gibbs was often hard on Tony because he knew that he was capable of being great. He knew Tony was already great, that’s why he recruited him, but he helped Tony to become a great agent - and what’s more, he told him that he was, multiple times. He was Tony’s boss, but he was also always there when he needed to talk because Gibbs cared about Tony. For me, they were always the strongest familial relationship of the show, save for Gibbs and Abby.
Bobby fired Buck pretty much on his first day as a firefighter, letting him know he wasn’t gonna put up with his crap. He took pity on Buck and let him back on because, like Gibbs and Tony, he knew he could be great. He shows him discipline, but also compassion and caring, because he knows that’s what Buck’s always needed. Whenever Buck’s in danger, Bobby is always there - to defend him when Buck was stuck under a firetruck, to be by his side every time he’s in the hospital, and to be the one to unhook him from the safety line and carry him to the ambulance after he gets struck by lightning (all the while calling him “kid”, with an affectionate, and scared, tone). Even when Buck sued the fire department, that showed how much of a father Bobby had been to him - because he had felt so betrayed by Bobby specifically when he wouldn’t let him back to work. He had more trust in Bobby than just about anyone, save for Eddie.
Buck even tells TK in the 911/Lone Star crossover episode - “My captain’s not my dad, but he might as well be.”
Gibbs and Bobby both have had other young members on their teams that they lead and mentor, but none really come close to the familial connection Gibbs has with Tony(except Abby) and Bobby has with Buck.
Buck and Tony give Bobby and Gibbs second chances to be fathers again. They are fathers to two goofy, adorable, drama-magnets and they wouldn’t trade them for the world.

The apartment was quiet as the sound of your keys clattered in the bowl on the countertop. It was pretty early in the morning, so you had no doubts that Buck would be just waking up. On his days off, he would use the first day to catch up on sleep; based on prior times, he would be up in half an hour.
“Buck?” You called out from the kitchen. You heard a groan from the loft where Buck was in the process of waking up, “I forgot to drop off that book Maddie wants to borrow. When I get back, do you want to get breakfast?”
A grumble you somehow translated to approval was what you received in response. You jogged up the stairs to the loft to grab the book from your bookshelf. Buck’s bare leg stretched out from underneath the comforter on your side. The soft sighs Buck made in his sleepy state tugged at your heart; the sighs grew louder when you bent to kiss his head.
“See you in a bit.” You whispered to the sleepy soft male. He sleepily grinned in response before curling into your pillow.
The sound of your footsteps softened on the steps back to the main level of the apartment. Your keys snagged from the bowl before you gently closed the door behind you. The sun was gorgeous to be awake to see and had Buck not worked a long shift, you’d have adored watching it with him.
Your car pulled out of the parking spot in the Los Angeles Service Center’s direction that Maddie worked at. Your lips quirked as the radio spewed out the station that Christopher listened to in the car. You could even pick up the book in the backseat where he called his spot. The book could be found in Buck’s Jeep as well.
It had maybe three days since you’d seen the young Diaz, and damn did you miss the kid. Christopher has his enigmatic quality that demanded you love him for all that made him simply Christopher. The second you’d met him, you knew he would mean a lot to you.
You hummed in time with the song that was currently Christopher’s absolute favourite. Slowly you went from humming to singing along when the light turned green. A handful of songs came and went on the admittedly long drive due to traffic.
It was about forty minutes after leaving your apartment that you parked next to Maddie’s car in the parking lot. Lucy was sitting at the front office with a grin you matched. The woman buzzed you before she clocked out with her reprieve Jake.
“Hey, Sue!” You grinned at the older redhead. Sue had absolutely no problem seeing you, given that you were welcome in the building.
Sue’s first interaction was when you came to the centre to pick up Maddie when she came to work sick. Maddie had managed to keep it under wraps for an hour before Sue caught on. Ever since, Sue was fond of asking Maddie about her brother and you.
“Maddie’s not in just yet.” Sue spoke with a kind smile, “If you’ll excuse me, I have to meet with one of our sit alongs.”
You nodded towards her while beelining for the woman’s bathroom, hoping to catch Maddie after using it. You’d drank too much water on your run earlier this morning. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate in the time you’d entered the bathroom, several things happened. Lucy ended her shift, Jake started his shift, and a group of strangers entered the building.
Your hand went to push open the door when through the crack, you saw two men you’d never seen before. Years of your job gave you enough feeling to know that something wasn’t right. That being said, you eased the door closed and attempted to find a hiding spot.
The garbage was too narrow and had no lid. The few seconds you had left, you glanced up. The ceiling hadn’t been renovated in many years. Rectangular sheets could be raised. Thankful of the rock climbing lessons you’d done with Maddie, you managed to crawl into the ceiling just as the two men entered.
“Nobody’s here.” The one-man with his head as pale and shiny as a cue ball. He gave off the most creepy vibe; the shorter Hispanic man wasn’t as violent looking, “Kinda hoping someone tries something. I’ve wanted to try out this.”
The man waved the large gun in his hand with a sick smile that twisted your stomach. That was the moment you’d realized something was very wrong. The second they left, you gently dropped back on the ground. Your first instinct was to send a message to Athena, but there was a fatal flaw. You’d expected to be in and out of the building quickly, so you’d left your phone in the car.
“Fuck.” You swore. One hand roughly running over your forehead as you contemplated figuring out a plan.
The building had many cameras throughout that you knew the blindspots for. The year after high school and during the summers, you’d worked in the building. Despite having worked here when you were younger, it was never during Sue’s shift. Over the years, you’d come to know the blind spots and a few cameras that were decoys. You even remembered Maddie and her friend Josh complaining about three cameras not fixed yet.
“Think.” You breathed, making a pattern of pacing, “They’ll need a lookout. They’ll take out the security guard first. The front doors are out. It’s a team, so they’ll also need eyes on the building. Terry is definitely a hostage.”
Of course, you’d end up in a volatile situation during the first half of your day before your shift started. The only comforting thing about the situation was the holstered gun on your hip and the badge on your belt. Maybe you should backtrack to why you had a gun and badge; you were an LAPD member, specifically SWAT.
“The changeroom.” You breathed, recalling it was down the hall with no camera. All you needed to do was pretend to be a dispatcher. The changeroom, now mostly a file room, had a few extra maroon and blue uniform shirts.
You timed it. The man holding Sue’s tablet was in the process of talking with his cohort, so you dashed to the room. You took no time in changing into a loose maroon shirt with your thick sweater overtop to hide the gun in the small of your back.
Your holster, badge and personal shirt tucked in the bottom of a box for safekeeping. As soon as you saw your entry, you sat with the group of hostages a hall over. A few looked surprised but let it go when you raised one finger to your lips.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Maddie hissed from the other side of a startled Josh. Both of them were surprised at seeing you here, “Oh my god. Buck is going to kill me.”
“I was dropping off your book before I get breakfast with Buck, but it appears my small bladder saved my life.” You snarked with your eyes scanning the room, “What’s going on?”
“That is my date from hell, Greg.” Josh inconspicuously pointed towards the man, clearly giving orders. The anger flared inside you, “You need to get out.”
“Josh, no offence, but I’m an officer with the LAPD. I work with SWAT. I’m your best bet of making it out alive.” You informed the dispatch duo, who went still as Cue Ball patrolled the hallway with a sadistic glint in his eyes.
“They took control of the building for a reason we don’t know about. We’re still working but under strict monitoring. They said it will be an hour, but we’ve seen their faces.”
“No witnesses.” You finished for Maddie with a deep sigh, “Unfortunately I left my phone in the car. Did they take yours-”
“They took Linda’s EpiPen. Of course, we don’t have phones.” Maddie sighed, leaning back to rest her head against the wall. Not even having a SWAT member by her side was comforting; your badge put a more significant target on you.
“We have to warn someone.” Josh mumbled to both Maddie and you, “You’re on shift Y/N?”
“Not for a few hours. I was supposed to drop off the book and get breakfast with Buck before my shift. This was supposed to be five minutes tops, so I left my phone in my car.”
“I already did.” Maddie spoke with a sad look on her face that overtook the fear, “I just hope he gets the message.”
Your hand reached out to squeeze the woman you’d had a hand in raising Buck more than their parents. Maddie had become family when you first started dating Buck. The in-law part of her familial relationship to you never crossed your minds; you were simply sisters to each other.
“Who?”
“Chim. I told him I loved him.” Maddie finished with a teary gaze. It made you sick seeing that look again after Doug.
You remembered seeing that haunted look when she stumbled out of the thicker woods covered in blood. You’d stayed by Athena’s side when Buck clutched her so tight and sobbed with her. It had been before you’d become serious with the man, but it was that frightening day that Buck fell for you. You’d just finished a taxing shift with your team when you heard about Maddie was missing, and Chim was in the hospital. You’d ignored the exhaustion to search high and low through your work contacts before narrowing the search area.
“Good thing Chimney obsesses over the little things.” You spoke, slouching down against the wall, “We’ll get throu-”
“Don’t do anything stupid.” Maddie warned you with her brows furrowed together, and you saw what she was doing. Despite your years of experience and the gun you had, she pushed her fear down behind the concern that a big sister shows her young siblings.
“I won’t.”
Tumblr media
At 8am, Buck was just entering the apartment building from grabbing the mail addressed to both you and him when Chim had called.
“Yup, go for Buck.” Buck spoke, opening the door to the apartment he’d only temporarily left. His morning had been late after his long shift the night before. The most productive thing was dressing for his breakfast date with you and grabbing the mail.
“How come 9-1-1 doesn’t respond when I call?” Chimney questioned the younger, now confused male.
“Uh, is that some kind of riddle? Like who watches the watchmen?” Buck asked, closing the door behind him. His eyes scanned around for any indication you’d returned home, but the bowl was vacant of your keys.
“Neither of those things are riddles. Okay, I just tried calling 9-1-1, and I got the high call volume message. Did I miss an earthquake or something?”
“Nope, pretty chill morning.” Buck responded as he closed the fridge door with a bottle of water in hand. The entire conversation wasn’t concerning to him, given that Chimney was often like this.
“Where’s Y/N? She’s the police she’ll know-”
“She’s not home right now. Wait, why are you calling 9-1-1? Is everything okay?” Buck slowly asked with his brows coming together. The sigh of frustration from Chimney was answer enough.
“Your sister said that she loved me.”
“Yeah. Wasn’t that uh, the whole point in that big date you had last night?” Buck inquired on his way to the table. He had a feeling this was going to be a long conversation that would hopefully pass the time until you got home.
“You declare your love, and she declares hers? That’s how it went with Y/N and me.”
“Yeah, I know, okay, but she didn’t, all right? At least not last night. Look, she made this big deal saying that she couldn’t say those words, and then this morning, she blurts them out and hangs up on me.” Chimney speaks, pacing in his own apartment. The side by the side of Chimney and Buck’s separate apartments told different tales of their states.
“It’s still not quite sounding like an emergency.”
“’Cause I sound insane.” Chimney spoke, staring up at the ceiling with a battle in his mind. He wants Buck to talk him out of this, but he also wants Buck to agree with him, “She’s at the call centre. What could happen there? You know what, forget it, I’ll try Y/N again.”
“Again?” Buck questioned just as his co-worker ended the call. Buck tugged his phone away from his ear to stare at it confused.
You always answered the phone if you weren’t working at the moment, but given you still had hours, he found it unsettling. After seeing the news report with the ladder truck on top of him, calls weren’t ignored between you two. That feeling of concern grew when you didn’t answer his call either. Nor the second one.
“Nah, she’s probably talking with Maddie.” Buck spoke, but that second-guessing feeling didn’t dissipate.
In the call centre, you’d been marched to one of the stations with a deep hope that you’d remember everything. It had been years by then since you’d worked as a dispatcher. It didn’t help with the gunmen patrolling the room.
“9-1-1, what’s your emergency?” You calmly questioned the caller.
“Hi, my cat is up the tree by my house. Could you send someone?”
“Can I get your name?” You went through the motions of getting her name and address before you informed the woman, “Okay, the LAFD and LAPD no longer respond to calls of cats in trees. The cat will make its way down on its own. If the tree is in your backyard, I’d use the time to garden or read a book on this beautiful day.”
“Oh, thank you. I’m sorry for taking up your time.”
“It’s no problem. Having a wonderful day Susan.”
In no time at all, you’d been rotated into the board room away from Josh and Maddie. It gave you time to inspect everyone you hadn’t made contact with yet. No one appeared harmed other than in distress with the situation.
“Downtown. They don’t want anyone downtown.” Linda whispered as Maddie was guided onto the floor by the elbow. You’d only gathered her name from her near-silent introduction to you when the hired guns had been far from your area.
“Let’s go.” Greg snapped, roughly pushing you towards the conference room. Something deep in your gut already predicted that someone was going to be stupid.
It was your sharp eyesight catching the minuscule agitation in Greg’s interactions with the Cue Ball guy. The slight tightening of his grip on the gun, the tension in the room growing stifling. And everyone knows that when emotions run high stupid things happen.
“Why do they keep moving us around like this?” The man beside Maddie questioned. He was definitely the most shaken of the group. He was basically shaking like a chihuahua.
“To disorient us.” Maddie spoke, staring at the group monitoring the dispatchers currently in play. Her eyes refused to leave them.
“So, we can’t make a plan.” You finished for your sister-in-law. Objectively out of everyone, Maddie, Sue and you were the most collected individuals for various reasons.
Maddie had lived in a volatile house with a man that could be unpredictable if a situation called for it in his mind. Sue had been working in the centre for years to navigate the emergency while you walked into dangerous situations.
“Jamal.” The shaking man spoke, holding his hand out towards you, “Are you new?”
“No.” You spoke as you shook his hand, “I’m Y/N. Maddie’s sister-in-law. I’m filling in as a favour for Sue.”
The lie slipped off your lips a little too quickly. You decided to come to this hostage situation as if you were undercover. It meant having to ignore that Maddie was in the situation with you.
“Worst day for a favour.” Jamal snorted with his eyes pinned on one of the armed men holding all your lives in their hands. You’d have spoken, but Jamal checked out mentally from the conversation waiting for the other shoe to drop.
The shoe dropped when the IT Specialist announced numbly, “Jake’s dead. They shot him.”
It didn’t matter how long you’d been working for the LAPD, any death, whether it was a civilian or a criminal, it was still was startling. Jake, the security guard that alternated shifts with Lucy, wasn’t someone you spoke with. He was on shift when you weren’t here or just missed the shift change.
“We need to get a message out.” Jamal spoke, glancing at the only people in the right state of mind, and those were Maddie, Josh and you. Terry had seen the violence these men had no issues with.
“I did.” Josh breathed, thinking of the arguably cute security guard he sometimes liked to stare at, “A woman called about onions in an omelette. I dispatched an officer.”
“To the restaurant?” Maddie inquired with her pinkie connected with yours for comfort. Both of you would prefer your SO’s hand instead.
“Not exactly.” Josh replied, staring at his best friend with a glimpse of hope in his brown eyes.
Hope may be the only way you could get out of this without hurting anyone in your admittedly surface level plan.
“Buck will think something is up.” You added
Tumblr media
Buck had begun pacing the kitchen of the apartment with Chim adamantly telling his friend his plan to go to the centre. Buck had joined Chimney in the concerned department when you had failed to return to the apartment, return calls and to make matters worse, so was Maddie. His texts had gone unanswered as well, not even having the read receipt on.
“She’s not picking up either. I tried Y/N and Josh, but neither replied. When I tried Maddie and Josh, it went straight to voicemail.”
“Now, I’m definitely going.” Chimney announced, shoving his wallet into his pocket just as someone began knocking on his door.
“What if something is wrong? I know Y/N is a member of SWAT but radio silence? No text to let me know she was called in early?” Buck thought aloud with his finger dragging along his thigh, “Maybe we should call the police.”
“I...think someone already did.” Chimney informed Buck as he stared at the sudden appearance of Sergeant Athena Grant at his door.
“What? What do you mean?” Buck hastily questioned, leaning against the kitchen island. He could just faintly hear Athena speaking on Chimney’s end of the phone, “Chimney? What’s going on?”
“Athena was sent to my apartment. Hang on, Buck, I’m just gonna tell Athena what’s going on.”
Buck stepped away from the island to settle on the stairs to the loft, impatiently waiting for Chimney to finish speaking. That fear of losing pieces of his life expanded deep in his gut, just like the times Maddie left in his childhood. That fear of being left behind.
“What’s she’s saying now?”
“She’s making her case.” Chim whispered as he continued to eavesdrop on Athena’s call with her higher-ups, “Now she’s folding like a cheap suit.”
“All right, let me talk to Athena.” Buck demanded antsy to figure out the situation that clearly had something wrong. That fear he’d thought of early flared catching the tail end of Athena’s conversation, “No! No, no. We can’t just send in SWAT. If there is someone inside the call centre doing something, they’ll know we’re onto them.”
Unfortunately, Buck was correct in this thought process, all thanks to living with a SWAT member. He knew these things after the years he’d been with you.
Tumblr media
“Maddie? I think I can sneak up to Terry’s computer. Maybe get eyes on the place-”
“No!” Terry nearly shouted, stiffening when Cue Ball hesitated in the doorway at his sudden shouts. You all held your breath for his reaction, but thankfully he was called away by one of the men, “They have-”
“Terry, I need you to calm down. I’m familiar with these types of situations. I’m SWAT. I need to get on top of this. Don’t be a hero.”
Maddie’s head began to shake when your arm was roughly grabbed by Greg, “Your turn.”
You were separated from Josh and Maddie, but instead of being pushed into one of the dispatcher seats, you were pulled to the original hallway.
“I don’t like how friendly you are with them.” Greg spat, shoving you to rest against the wall, “Don’t move.”
You catch the eyes of Maddie with an apologetic expression before you used the pacing routine to sneak away. You didn’t release your breath until you were attaching your holder to your hip in the change room. By now, your team would be aware that something was wrong, Hondo would be hell-bent on finding you.
Until you had help, you were on your own.
You used each blindspot of the cameras in the halls to the stairwell, and you used a broom to adjust the cameras. The cameras not kept you from view but not appearing suspicious. Once at the floor where Terry was practically always at you softly closed the door.
You’d only started to sit down when you heard the ding of the elevator, “Shit.”
You slipped into the closest containing extra parts if anything broke. Through the crack, you saw Terry being held at gunpoint. The gunman that had been holding the tablet on the floor, Ellis as you’d heard.
“You’re telling me every cop in the city has just disappeared?” Ellis demanded as Terry, and he disappeared around one of the corners. The tapping of a screen indicating Ellis was searching for something with Terry’s involuntary help.
“I’m telling you, I don’t know!” Terry snapped back, creating even more tension in the room, but Ellis didn’t move to grab his gun.
Ellis appeared to the only one reluctant to discharge your weapon, unlike Cue Ball, who just happened to join the party.
“Figure it out!” Ellis spat, turning on his heel at the sound of approaching footsteps. You could see him roll his eyes at his team member walking into the room.
“What’s going on here?” Cue ball questioned the duo in different kinds of distress, and you swore Cue Ball enjoyed the intimidation from his teammate and the IT specialist.
“That police car’s not the only one that’s gone dark.” Ellis nervously spoke, stiffening for the volatile reaction that one could expect from Foster.
“You think they know we’re here?”
“Foster, it could be a system glitch.” Ellis offered keeping one eye on Cue Ball while monitoring Terry’s work as well.
Cue Ball spoke a sentence that sent chills up your spine, “Time to cut our losses.”
As Foster and Ellis began going over their personal plans made out of Greg’s knowledge, you noticed Terry glance over. His eyes widened slightly before quickly looking away when you raised a finger across your lips.
“We can go down the back stairs. I have a car waiting around the corner, we split the art up between the five of us, and we go our separate ways.” Foster spoke, revealing his plan to double-cross Greg, which in all honesty made sense. Greg was ill-fitting to be in charge of their operation, unable to control his lackeys.
“I like that part of the deal.” Ellis breathed, skirting around the trigger happy criminal only to halt in his steps, “Wait, you’ve got a car parked down the street? You were always gonna double-cross Greg.”
“You weren’t?”
“If we’re gonna do this, you can’t just sell famous works of art on eBay.”
“You can’t sell them from prison either.”
At that moment, something almost shifted in the area, something that made you pull your gun from your holster. Your body telling you something was about to happen. It happened in a split second. Foster fled the room leaving only Ellis just outside. With Terry frantically shaking his head, you tiptoed to the unsuspecting criminal.
“LAPD!” You shouted, pointing your gun towards the shocked man, “Put the gun down and put your hands up.”
“Aren’t you a dispatcher?” Ellis questioned, blinking in surprise.
“Aren’t you supposed to be intelligent? Next time check the schedule I haven’t worked here in years.” You spat, keeping your gun pointed on him, “Do I say-”
The sound of two guns going off made Terry flinch and scream as he instinctively dropped to the ground. IT was supposed to be safe, but Terry had now heard three gunshots in under two hours. He really didn’t want to see the outcome of the shots.
A moan coaxed Terry to peek out through the privacy glass. Ellis was on the ground while you kept your gun on him. He didn’t see anything else when the power went out. He didn’t see you drop to your knees, but he heard you.
“Terry...get down. Lay on your stomach with your hands insight, and don’t move.” You informed the terrified IT just as the floor was swarmed.
“Put the gun down!” The sound of Tan’s voice was welcoming as you slowly placed the gun on the ground. “25-David I have Y/L/N. The suspect is down, need medical.”
You got back to your feet when Tan nodded his head, “Thank god. There’s a possible body in the IT room along with the It Specialist Terry.”
“You got your badge on you?” Tan questioned as he cuffed the moaning Ellis up, “Street can you escort her down?”
Street nodded from his position, watching Tan’s back before guiding you to the stairs with hawk eyes. Even off duty, you kept your head on a swivel.
“You caused quite the commotion.” Street spoke halfway down the stairs when you barely mumbled. He caught you as you went down like a sack of potatoes, “Y/N!”
“Adrenaline is crashing.” You moaned, looking at your shoulder where the maroon had grown darker, “I think he shot me.”
“26-David I’m in the stairway. Prepare a medic.” Street spoke into his radio before he strapped the gun away and swept you into his arms, “Think you can have my back?”
“When don’t I?” You wheezed, with the sweat starting to bead on your forehead. As you crashed from adrenaline, you barely noticed being placed on the ground at the main entrance.
A paramedic cutting your borrowed shirt to reveal the bullet hole in your shoulder courtesy of Ellis, the only member who’d thought wouldn’t shoot his gun. You could vaguely hear Maddie calling out your name as you were loaded onto a gurney.
“M-Maddie?” You spoke, tilting your head to see Chris holding Maddie back from, “Chris! That’s my sister in law.”
Chris only let Maddie go when Hondo gave the all-clear, and you were so thankful when Maddie’s hand encased yours.
“Don’t close your eyes.” Maddie pleaded sick with the amount of blood on your skin and soaking through the gauze, “Who’s gonna help me put up with my little brother?”
“Buck.” You breathed sluggishly, blinking as the artificial lights changed to natural with the gun shining through the glass front doors.
“You didn’t let me close mine in that ambulance, so I need you to do the same. Don’t close them. I’m so sorry. This is all my fault.” Maddie cried as an officer pulled her aside as you were stopped. You wouldn’t remember it, but Maddie had to watch as you coded right in front of her.
Maddie had to watch them perform CPR on you and fight for a pulse. She had to think of how’d she’d tell her little brother she’d killed his fiance. The counting of the paramedics sounded as if underwater, and as they did, the world went quiet. Her mind checked out as the trauma settled in.
Maddie stumbled out of the building into a zoo of officers, medics, and news reporters almost robotically. She barely felt Chimney hug her, but she wrapped her arms around him and sobbed.
“It’s all my fault.” Maddie gasped, collapsing against him, “If I had-”
“Maddie?”
Chimney felt Maddie stiffen at the sound of Buck’s voice amidst the multiple voices milling around. Maddie raised her gaze to meet Buck’s blue eyes dripping in relief and question.
“Buck.”
“Maddie, where’s Y/N? Her car…” Buck trailed off, catching the utter heartbreak in his big sister’s eyes. A look he’d come to know in his line of work as a firefighter. The utter devastation that came with watching someone you love die, “No. No.”
“I got a pulse!” Came from the nearest ambulance, and Buck skirted around his sister and Chimney, “Ready to transport!”
Your eyes slowly blinked at the white ceiling of the ambulance with pain in your midsection courtesy of chest compressions. Breathing came painful, and the bullet wound throbbed, but it all faded when you saw blue eyes above you.
“Buck.” You sobbed, more like groaned, as he was urged to sit on the bench holding your hand, “Maddie?”
“She’s okay. Chim’s got her. Can you keep your eyes on me? I need to see those big beautiful e/c eyes.” Buck soothed, bringing your hand to his lips, “Did I ever tell you my favourite colour?”
Despite Buck’s best attempts, you continued fading in and out of consciousness but continued to be stable. He spoke about the funny video Eddie had shown him of Christopher at the end of their shift last night. He talked about everything and anything under the sun during the short ride to the hospital.
The last thing you saw was Buck being held back as the paramedics pushed the gurney into the ER. Everything turned black.
The beeping was the first thing you heard before your eyes fluttered open to a stark white room and that unmistakable hospital scent. You noticed the second thing as Buck holding your hand in both of his with his forehead pressed against them.
“Buck?” You moaned to the one person you had wished to see. The man whose eyes were bloodshot from crying, “What’s wrong?”
“Your heart stopped beating twice. I thought I was gonna lose you.” Buck cried with his lips pressed against your hand, “I was so worried.”
“Hey. I’m fine. I’m here.” You cooed, tugging one hand away to run through his messy hair with a soft smile. His blue eyes brighten at the familiar feeling of your digits in his hair, “I’m not going anywhere. This isn’t here for decoration.”
His eyes found the ring he’d gently placed back on your finger from when the nurses had removed it. It only left your finger when you were on duty, in which it was slung on a necklace hidden under your uniform.
“Better not be.”
“Does the hospital have a chapel?” You questioned out of the blue leading to Buck snorting as you giggled, “I’m serious. When I was bleeding in that building, all I could think about was you. If Maddie is anything like you, she’s waiting in the waiting room with Chimney.”
“You aren’t wrong. All the chairs are taken. Our family was waiting for you to wake up.” Buck breathed, leaning closer to press a sweet kiss to your lips, “Are you sure?”
“About marrying you?” You softly questioned the man who couldn’t help but believe this was a dream. How he’d somehow got the girl of his dreams to agree to marry his ass, “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. All I want to share is your last name for the rest of my life. You are it for me, Evan Buckley. All the flaws you see are beautiful to me.”
“Only you would want to get married after being shot mere hours ago.” Buck chuckled with a sigh pulled from his pink lips, “I’ll get the doctor for you and find out if we can be married here.”
While you were checked out, Buck left the room to go back to the waiting room where the 118 and your co-workers waited. Everyone perked up at his appearance, Christopher asleep on Eddie’s lap.
“Is she okay?” Bobby questioned as the tension in the room grew more and more. It shattered into relief when Buck grinned.
“She’s sore as expected. She’s gonna catch some sleep, but she’d like to see Maddie.” Buck replied, pinning his gaze on his big sister with her curled into Chimney’s body. Her cheeks flooded with tears of absolute relief, “C’mon.”
The waiting room started emptying with Buck’s promise to keep everyone updated, but before Bobby could step away, Buck asked for him.
“Do you need a few days off?” Bobby questioned just as Buck came closer to the seasoned firefighter.
“No. But could you spare an hour?” The expression on Buck’s face was enough for Bobby not to ask any further questions. He simply followed Buck back towards your hospital room, where Maddie and Chim waited.
“What’s going on?” Bobby inquired, with the addition of the hospital assigned Priest holding the standard bible. Chimney could only shrug in response to whatever was going on.
“I know there have been times we haven’t seen eye to eye, but Bobby, you’re like a father to me. You gave me chance after chance when anyone else would have given up. You guided me on how to be a man. Y/N and I would like it if you’d be here for this.”
“Wait, are you getting married? What about the wedding?” Maddie spluttered, flicking her gaze between her brother and you. Her question surprised her boyfriend and Bobby.
“We’ll still have it. But I want to marry her without the pressure of our parents. Just a private ceremony with some of the people that mean the most to us.” Buck answered for the two of you, “Would you stay?”
“Of course.” Maddie softly spoke with a slideshow of memories playing in her mind of watching Buck grow up.
Watching Evan go through all kinds of injuries, all in the name of attention but never getting it the way he deserved it. She remembered giving him advice for asking out Donna and holding him when he was rejected. The little toddler with the impish grin somehow turned into an idiot in the hospital.
Maddie saw the man her little brother had turned into with the help of the 118 and you.
Tumblr media
Buck’s fingers made quick work of buttoning his short-sleeve uniform with the sudden appearance of his friend.
“That’s new.” Eddie spoke from his opened locker holding his uniform and a picture of his family on the door. It was a picture of Christopher, Buck, you and Eddie from the zoo a couple months back.
Buck looked over at his best friend, “Hm?”
“The ring.” Eddie snorted dramatically, looking at the ring that had been living on his finger since he married you five days ago, “Did my invite get lost in the mail?”
“Nah, we just got married in the hospital. We’re still planning the wedding to appease both sides of our family. And I promised Christopher he could be in the wedding. With Y/N on medical leave, the planning will be faster. She’s going stir crazy after five days.” Buck finished tucking in the shirt into his work-issued pants. Lastly, he slid his ring onto the metal chain he had bought recently.
Like you did, he would wear it around his neck when working for safety reasons.
“I’m happy for you, man.” Eddie told his friend just as the bell rang, “You’ll have to tell me how you’re liking the married life.”
“But first, we have a job to do.” Buck supplied all the while jogging to suit up in his turnout gear with Hen and Chimney.

With love, I miss you - Eric Sohn
That last song was a new personal favourite here at Tangerine Radio -- Day6 Even of Day’s Right Through Me. On a much lighter note, I’m pumped to introduce our first guest featured in our new “With Love” series! I’ll introduce him soon, and remember, you can find transcripts of the “With Love” series and other special segments on our Tangerine Radio website, which was lovingly put together by my favourite tech guy, Sunwoo. In the transcripts, I’m in bold, and guests are just plain text unless there are two, which is when we bust out the italics... at least I’m pretty sure that’s it. I guess we’ll see, huh? I’m not really supposed to talk much in this series, but who knows. Let’s welcome our guest before I ramble on any more.
Tumblr media
Uh, hi... listeners? I’m Eric.
Wait. Listeners? Is that what I call them?
Sure.
Okay. Uh. Hi.
...I’m Eric.
You said that already!
I don’t know... What if some people just tuned in?
Between the first and second time you said your name?
...It could happen.
Relax, Eric. Just talk like your roommate is the only one listening. You prepared something, right?
Yeah.
Hoo... okay.
Um. Hey. It’s Eric.
I said that already... but it’s in my notes, so I said it again. Who knows, maybe someone tuned in just in time to hear it...
Sorry, this is a bit awkward. It’s kind of nerve-racking to know that you’re listening right now when I can’t see you. Haknyeon, you get what I’m saying, right?
Ah, sorry. My letter. Got it.
I’ll stay on track.
Don’t look at me like that! I will, I promise.
Um...
Dear you.
I wasn’t sure if you’d want me to say your name for everyone to hear, so I won’t. I guess I could’ve asked you, but then this wouldn’t be as much of a surprise, would it?
Anyways, I came on hear to say,
I miss you.
I know it’s only been like, a week, but that’s a whole week without you, so... I stand by it. Yeah.
I miss you a lot. It’s weird, but sometimes when I wake up, I look around the flat and go huh? Just because you’re not there. I feel like this is the first time in a long time that we’ve been apart -- really apart. Even back in our home town, our parent’s houses are like ten minutes away.
If we hated each other, we’d be in a real pickle, huh?
I could never hate you though.
I like to think you could never hate me either, but there was that one time I stole your fancy restaurant leftovers, so I guess that’s still on the table.
...Unlike your leftovers, hah!
Sorry, wow, that was awful. You loved it though, I bet. Wherever you are.
I can’t believe you got invited to a destination wedding, by the way. And you didn’t take me as a plus one? Rude.
Not that-- not that we’re--
Um.
I was just joking, haha... I know we’re not dating or anything. And I know you said you’d bring me if you could, but you already RSVP’d as one guest. I was kidding...
Not that I wouldn’t date you! Just, uh--
I know this is a whole “With Love,” thing, but Haknyeon told me love is platonic too! And I... love you, uh, platonically--
Ow!
Haknyeon just kicked me! Do you see what happens when you leave me alone?
This is abuse, is what this is.
I know I said love is also platonic, and it is, but Eric, are you really that oblivious?
Huh? What do you mean?
Oh, come on. You have to know that you like them--
Haknyeon!
So you do know?
I-- Dude-- Why did...
Ugh.
Even if I do, why would you just blurt that on live radio! They could be listening!
Isn’t that what this is for? And besides, you said they’d be sleeping in their timezone.
Okay, and what about your other hundreds of listeners? Ughhh this is so embarrassing...
...
Shut up Sunwoo. They can’t even hear you.
You’re cute when you’re all grumbly.
You just love this, don’t you?
I don’t hate it.
This sucks. I can’t believe I let you guys rope me into this just for twenty bucks.
Hey, whoa, you volunteered to be on With Love, Eric. Hear that listeners? You, too, can sign up for With Love, on our website, where you’ll also find the transcripts from previous episodes just like this one--
You sound like an idiot.
Someone’s salty. And pouty.
I’m not pouting!
Tell your face that.
...
Sunwoo I am going to kill you.
No I don’t want to keep going!
I mean... they don’t have to see this, right?
Did you already tell them you were coming on the show?
Yeah...
And they know about our website?
Yeah...
You might want to continue, then. Confessing and running isn’t going to look great.
I could just tell them not to read the transcript... right?
But knowing them, they’d want to even more...
Ugh.
Did you guys plan this?
...
No way! Did you guys lure me in with twenty dollars just so I’d confess the crush I’ve had for years?!
Oh shit.
Okay, that one was all you. I didn’t even prompt you this time.
Oh my god.
Oh my god!
Whoa, man! I know the table isn’t oak, but you can’t just slam your head on it like that.
Ow...
Do you want some ice?
No...
You’re pouting again.
Shut up.
It’s a radio show, Eric. If no one’s talking, it’s literally nothing.
Fine then. I’ll talk.
Screw the stupid letter if this was your plan all along, anyways.
...
Dear you.
I like you.
I like you a lot. I’ve liked you for years. Is that what everyone wants to hear?
When you beat all the other boys at Beyblade in elementary, I liked you. When you made me a valentine’s day card in seventh grade because I was sad nobody sent me any, I liked you. When you held my hand and dragged me out of school to skip a day because I was feeling down about university applications, I liked you.
The other day, when we ate ice cream on your bed and talked about aliens, I liked you.
I like you. And I miss you. And I want to say this all in person but you’re thousands of kilometers away and I’m on this dumb radio show, speaking into this dumb microphone, and Haknyeon’s looking at me with this dumb smile on his face and I like you! Okay?!
I like you.
...
...
What?
You’re so cute.
Shut up!

• dar once let dallas do make up on him and Darrel borderline didn’t like how good he looked in it
• Dallas got him to experiment in drag and Darrel felt hella empowered. Now they dress up together sometimes. But dar says only Dallas is allowed to see him like that
• this makes dal feel extra special and close to dar and he loves it

Survey #363
(one more that’s a late upload from way earlier in the day, and i yet again don’t feel like updating the answers)
What brings out the worst in you? When I'm very anxious or having a PTSD episode, I can become very snappy and just not a joy to be around. What all did you eat today? This morning I had oatmeal, I had a rice cake as a snack, and lunch was ham and cheese on a tortilla. Some people were really destructive as a child, were you? No, I was a good kid. Who was the last person you were in a car with? My mom. Who was the last person you cried in front of? It was probably Mom. Do you talk about your feelings or hide them? I usually talk about them somewhere, like in surveys if I feel I can't with anyone else. Please be vocal with your feelings. It is so destructive to let them build up. Who was the last person you were with that smelled REALLY good? I'm unsure. Do you know anyone that is gothic? A good number of people, myself included at least in spirit. ;~; I can't really afford good attire, nor do I have the patience for so much makeup maintenance. Have you seen UP? I actually haven't seen the full movie, but I'd like to. How is your mom? Stressed as fuck and tired of everything. What color hair does your mom have? She recently dyed it black. Her hair is growing back totally gray now and she hated it. She's gotten so self-conscious as she's aged. When was the last time you were told you were cute? Idk. Do you feel comfortable getting up and giving speeches? FUCK NO. Have you ever dipped french fries in a frosty? I tried it once and did not get the appeal. Did you have school/class today? No. My school endeavors are done. Do you have any paintings in your room? If so, of what? Yeah, I have my big painting of meerkats grooming above all my 'kat plushies. Have you ever had your photo professionally taken? As a child and by school photographers, anyway. Would you prefer eating jello or pudding? Pudding. After washing your hair, do you put any products in it? No. Last time you ate a salad? Like a week ago when we went to Ichiban for my sister's bday. Do you know how old your house is? No, I don't. Have you ever been described as ”adorable”? Yeah. Have you ever given a lap dance? No. They seem incredibly awkward to me?? Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make mega bucks? No. I can't do a job I hate for anything. I would be so depressed. Are you a moody person? Yes. What are you listening to? I'm watching Gab Smolders' new episode of Resident Evil 8: Village. I'm deadass watching four different LPers play it, I'm only moderately obsessed lmao. What video game could you waste the most time on? WoW, given it has like a zillion different things to do. Yet I still get bored lmao. What is your favorite condiment? Maybe Ketchup? I think I use that for the most things. What is the worst thing that you have ever done? I don't feel like getting into this. How old were you when your parents gave you the "birds and the bees" talk? They didn't; I learned in my school's sex ed in the 5th grade. Have you ever questioned whether or not you'd benefit from therapy? I have benefited from it. What would you like it to say on your gravestone? Hypothetically, idk. But I'd rather be cremated. Would you ever wear real leather or animal fur? NO. Have you ever completely failed a year of school and had to repeat a grade? No. Have you ever been bitten by an animal that wasn't a cat or a dog? Which? I think my old baby iguana bit me once or twice, not that it was very painful at her young age. I can't recall another animal. What type of literature are you most likely to read? (book, magazine, etc) Books. Do you prefer using candles, wax melts, or incense? Incense. Are you someone who actually doesn't have a Facebook? No, I have one. What kind(s) of Facebook groups are you active in, if any? I'm not really *active* in any; I just observe them and interact via "like"s. I'm actually in a whole lot of groups, though. Do you enjoy any herbal or fruit teas? What kinds? Neither. Do you hear any animals right now? No. What are your thoughts on Avenged Sevenfold? I know and like a few songs, especially "Dear God." Do you like Batman? Yeah, I like his "refuse to murder" ideology. The only thing is I kinda have a bad connection attached to him, because Batman was Jason's thing. Have you ever played fetch with a dog? Yes. Does your house have a fireplace? Yeah actually, but it might be fake? I don't even know lol. Have you ever pet a stingray? No. Have you ever dissected a baby pig in a class at school? Oh my god, no. I literally could never. I did dissect a frog in the 7th grade that wound up to be pregnant, though... I wasn't happy about it, but at the same time it was very interesting. Who is the last baby you held? My niece. Do you like Sunkist? The orange kind is fine, but the STRAWBERRY flavor? Jfc I love that shit. Would you ever consider being a cannibal? UM NO Do you have any scars from an animal? I have a lot of scars on my hands from playing with Roman. I scar extremely easily, so just his little scrapes leave marks. Have you ever seen an Igloo? No. Do you like Korn? Love 'em. How many animals do you have? Really two, but we have three in the house right now. Idk when this dog is going away. Are you more afraid of tornadoes or hurricanes? Tornados. Ever rode in a helicopter? No. Do you like rabbits? Yes, they're adorable. Do you like mushrooms? NO. What was the last movie you cried at? I want to say Logan, but I'm not sure. I watch movies so rarely that I really don't know. Would you rather work for a small or large company? Small. I'd feel more useful. What is the rudest thing a guy has ever done to you? I don't know. Have you ever read the book 13 Reasons Why? Yeah. I thought it was good, but now I don't remember like... anything about it. What did you have for breakfast this morning? I had apple and cinnamon oatmeal. How many times have you read your favorite book? Just once. I don't re-read books. Have you ever been on Omegle? No. Are you still in love with one of your exes? "In love," no. Do you think being born was a mistake? Yeesh, no. Has a relative ever been arrested? My psychotic uncle (by marriage) has been. Was it a serious crime? Quite honestly, I don't remember. I just know he's an angry and dangerous motherfucker. Do you think the Fountain of Youth exists? No. How about in a parallel dimension? Doubtful. Do you believe humans are part of a giant alien experiment? I ponder over the possibility of being a research simulation, kind of like a much advanced version of The Sims, but I honestly doubt it. Have you ever been suicidal? Yes. Was it a passing phase or is it something controlled by medication? Therapy and medication saved me. Is there a holiday you wish no one celebrated? Which is it? Why do you feel that way? Fight me about Christopher Columbus Day. He didn't discover shit. Have you taken any writing classes? How about art? I've taken a writing course in college, and I've taken loads of art classes. What’s your all-time favourite band? How about all-time fave singer? Ozzy Osbourne; Freddie Mercury. What three songs do you want played at your funeral? Why those particular songs? "Like A Woman" by Alice Cooper, "Life Is Beautiful" by Sixx A.M., and "Angels on the Moon" by Thriving Ivory. I just like them and find them suiting. Do you think most mythological creatures exist? No. Have you ever had lice? No. What is one superstition that freaks you out? Why is that? I’m not superstitious. Are either of your parents retired yet and if not, what do they do? No. Dad is a mailman, and while Mom doesn't ~officially~ work yet because she's recovering from intense cancer treatment, she very recently resumed lightly cleaning a church for a small payment. Kinda like a warmup. When did you or do you want to move out of your parents’ house? I wanna move out once I'm in a long-term, stable relationship with someone so we can live together. Me living alone is NOT a good idea. How do you like your current job, or if you’re unemployed, have you been looking for employment? I don't have a job, but when I go to my tattoo appointment, I'm going to ask them if they'd be interested in hiring someone for the front desk. I think it's def something I could do because I love the environment, there's really not that much I need to know (like where the Doritos are, dealing with exact change, answering a dozen unique questions), it's not insanely busy, and the occasional phone call would challenge my anxiety and just be a minor inconvenience to me until I got used to it. My partial hospitalization program really got me wanting to fight back against what gives me anxiety, to truly expose myself to what scares me, while not going totally overboard with it. It was encouraging to hear my therapist there thought it was a magnificent idea for me. I decided I wanted to ask while at the parlor getting work done to show serious interest (like I'm not just some random chick walking in and asking for a job), as well as let the people warm up to me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but damn am I wishing. I want it so badly. What kind of booze did you last take shots of? I've never taken shots.

Okay so imagine this! The Lupin crew are relaxing at a cafe after a successful heist. The s/o says they have to use the bathroom and they leave. But after about five minutes, the s/o comes running out of the back door with a dehydrated body in their arms yelling that they need to go, there’s no time to explain and it’s not their fault, all while some shady looking people chase after them.
Finally.... after losing my first draft (about 4 pages) because of my stupid self overwriting it, it’s finally done!!
I did it a bit different than before to get the vibe of an episode, showing a few more aspects than just the view of the reader.
I hope you all enjoy it!!  It’s under the cut for length.
It had been a busy week. But now it was time to finally relax and come down. You were sitting in your favourite café, surrounded by your friends.
“I dare you to eat a whole Sundae in under 5 minutes.
“Do you think I can’t do this?!”
“Hundred bucks against it.”
You snorted and had to laugh out loud when Jigen showed you the Sundae in question on the menu. It was huge!!
“Excuse me for a second. Don’t start without me!” You had to see Lupin try this dare, but nature called you with an urgency you seldom had.
“If I win, I’ll get a kiss!”
You turned around to your boyfriend and grinned.
“And if you lose, I get a kiss from Jigen!”
The gunman snickered and nodded. “Deal.”
“No deal! Don’t touch my precious love!”
You let the guys bicker while you made your way to the restrooms.
 A moaning was heard as soon as you entered. Some people had no shame! But something was off with it. Didn’t it sound painful? All stalls were open but the last one. Another moan, this time a man, more breathless but also kind of… breathless?
Curious about those sounds you got into the stall next to it and thought about taking a peek over the wall into the next cabin.
“That’s a good girl. Die for me.”
With a jump you pulled yourself up the wall of the stall and looked into the next cabin, only to see a black dressed guy with a syringe on the neck of a young girl.
“Unhand her, you freak!” you demanded.
He was quicker than you, already running out of the restrooms when you got down and hurried into the stall with the girl.
“Are you okay?!”
She was unconscious and very pale. The small holes at her neck almost looked like a vampire bite. Who was that freak?!
An uproar let you just get the girl out of the stall and run. Not a second too late as you could see the black dressed guy and a couple of his friends drawing their weapons, aiming for you.
 “Get up! We need to run!!” you shouted at your friends as you hurried past them with the still unconscious girl in your arms.
“What did you do?!” Lupin asked, already on his feet and fumbling for the car keys.
“No time to explain!!”
You heard a shot and felt the pain when the bullet hit you in the calf. Those guys were serious! Limping, you made your way to the car, followed by your friends, Jigen already shooting back and Goemon protecting you from a hail of bullets.
 Breathlessly you had told them everything on the way to the hospital where you had laid the girl in front of the emergency room. Just like the rest of the gang you were wanted so you couldn’t exactly just walk into any building without the fear of being arrested.
During the dressing of your wound, Jigen questioned you about the scene.
“This is crazy. Tell me again, did you recognize anything?”
With a huff you told him the story once more. You knew it was crazy! A side-glance towards your lover made you aware of the mess you had brought yourself into. He had decided to call Inspector Zenigata to get some information. It seemed quicker than to get into a disguise and just get to the nearest police station.
“A vampire? In broad daylight?” Goemon seemed incredulous.
“It wasn’t a vampire, Goemon! It was a man with a syringe. I saw it,” you replied.
“But where was all the blood? Even a kid her age should have at least 4 litres of blood. And she lost at least 2 of it.” Sometimes Jigen scared you with his medical knowledge.
With a grim face Lupin joined your round.
“You disturbed a serial killer. Pops says there were at least 5 different cases of this vampire. It’s always the same. A kid is lured away from its parents and sucked dry.”
You suddenly felt uneasy but you had to know.
“They survived, right?” you asked.
He shook his head.
“The girl is the first to survive. All of them had marks like a vampire bite. All of them sucked dry.”
Jigen spat and lighted a cigarette. A sure sign he was getting irritated.
“This is a disgusting thing to do to someone,” Goemon decided and grabbed his Zantetsuken. His own form of irritation.
“Pops is thankful for your information, but he also says there aren’t enough facts to get to a clear culprit. To think there were 4 of them...,” he left it unsaid, but you felt his uneasiness as he watched you.
“I will be okay. It’s not like they followed us.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that.” Jigen slowly raised his hands, followed by Lupin. Both of them stared at a point behind you.
“I hate this,” you mumbled and turned around to find yourself surrounded by black dressed men, all of them aiming their guns at you.
 “I still don’t get why you don’t simply kill them.”
“It’s an order from above.”
“Fuck this. I know a bit about them. They can be dangerous.”
“Do you doubt your superiors?”
“No, Sir.”
“Then shut the fuck up and do your work.”
“Yes, Sir!”
You looked around in the dark cell to find something to get a clue where you were. After getting threatened you had to follow their orders. A blindfold, different cars, you were separated from the others. Were they in the same building as you? Were they already dead?
You swallowed your tears. Lupin wasn’t that easy to be killed. He would come and rescue you, right? He would hug you and kiss all those fears away. He would… maybe… surely… no! You had to get out of here! Think! What information do you have?
A dark cell, 3 metres long, 2 metres wide. A bucket in the corner. The door was solid metal, a small flap in the middle. No lock to be found. It had to be outside on the door. Maybe something simple as you hadn’t heard a key turn when you were thrown into this cell. You didn’t have a window. No blanket to cover yourself with. And it had to be soundproof, because the only things you could hear were the guards directly in front of the door even if you pressed your ear to the other walls.
 ~~~~
He gasped for air and coughed when he chocked on his own breath. Water ran down his face, soaking the bag over his head, making it harder to breathe.
“You will do as we say.”
He shook his head and tried to fight the strong grip on his neck as it pushed him down, into the water, once more. He was a good diver and counted the seconds with a clear head. But it was longer and longer, his lungs started screaming for air and he was still under the water. Two minutes had passed when he was pulled up again, again gasping for air in a desperate fashion.
“You will kill Lupin the Third.”
Again he shook his head. He was a stubborn idiot, getting drowned for his convictions.
 ~~~~
A sharp pain rushed through his whole facial nerve system as the wound opened and the nerves were exposed to the fresh air. Still, he wouldn’t admit it with a sound. It had be a short hit but still hard enough to rip open a huge gash on his cheek.
“It is easy, Lupin. You will steal the disc and we won’t hurt your little lover.”
He watched his partner through a monitor. They were collecting information on their cell, listening to sounds, checking the stability of the door.
“No.”
He had known it from the start. The whole day had been spent with an uneasy feeling. Why had he proposed a visit to the café?! By now he should know to trust his gut. But the face of his partner had been so gloomy and he had wanted to cheer them up… and he had endangered them with his recklessness.
“I will kill them,” the shadow promised.
Lupin shook his head. He had to trust them now. And he had seen a familiar face around those guys. What was more important to this person? Friends or the job?
“You’re right! I won’t kill them. He will,” the shadow laughed a bit while saying this, showing Lupin the familiar face getting tortured.
“Let them go!”
“Get me this disc and I will let your friends leave.”
The disc in question was unknown to him. Surely it was dangerous enough to destroy the world if people like the shadow wanted it. He had calculated the outcome and still hadn’t found a way out of it. Normally he would swap the disc with another, fooling those idiots. But with his friends in their hands? He would risk the death of his beloved ones. Manipulating the data on it was also out of the question, he had seen their work before. One or two skilled hackers were in this team, he knew. They would know any tampering before he could get away.
He had to trust his friends to save themselves. How could he gain time for them?
“Still no answer, hm? Fine. Then you’ll get to know the consequences,” the shadow threatened, pushing down a button.
Jigen appeared on the monitor. He was bound and gagged and seemed to be seriously hurt. Lupin snorted. It was likely the gunman had given his captors a rough time and got himself into trouble.
“Kill him.”
A gun was pressed to Jigen’s head. Lupin wanted to close his eyes but couldn’t.
The trigger was pulled and Jigen fell out of the reach of the camera.
 ~~~~
Was that a shot?! It had been too loud to be far away. Some clattering. You pressed your ear harder to the door but couldn’t hear anything. Silence fell. Maybe your friends came to your rescue??
After 5 minutes there was still silence and you fell down into sitting opposite of your prison door, staring at it, willing it to open with your thoughts alone.
 ~~~~
They had enough of drowning him. Wet and cold he was submitted into a cell, next to their other prisoners. He knew those cells. They were constructed specifically to be escape-proof. What a bullshit.
They had broken two of his fingers and this made it harder for him to work on the small gap between door and door frame. He was sure they watched him through the camera system. It was a game of time to get out of here.
A jolt of electricity rushed through his fingers and threw him on the floor, muscles cramping from the current. Damn, they had upgraded the security system.
 ~~~~
“One down, two to go. Get me the disc.”
He still couldn’t believe it.
“Your answer?”
They had shot him. Point blank, no room for tricks.
“Do you prefer to see the next death?”
“Don’t.”
“Get me the disc.”
He let his head hang and swallowed. They would kill the rest of his gang with him watching.
“Yes.”
“Good. Let me give you a gift before you go.”
Another button was pushed and he stared at the monitor. A hand, a leg…. A severed head staring back at him.
He threw up, emptying his stomach on the floor before him. He couldn’t stand the accusing stare of Goemon’s lifeless eyes.
“Please…,” he begged in a small voice.
The monitor went black.
“You have 24 hours.”
 ~~~~
You rubbed your temple as the flap in the door opened and a small tablet was shoved through, falling down, spilling all your food on the floor. A harsh laughter was heard and the flap closed. At least the water was bottled and didn’t spill.
You crawled towards the door, smelling iron. Blood on the other side of the door? You placed your face on the floor, trying to see through the small gap between the door and the floor. With a scream, you scrambled back to the opposing wall, shaking with fear. Did you… the… hi… you couldn’t understand what you just had seen. Lifeless brown eyes staring at you.
 ~~~~
It had been a matter of time until they had grew bored with him sitting in his cell, doing nothing. He was prepared when three of them came to get him. Two of them were entering his cell, getting him up on his feet, the third pointing a gun at him, ready to shoot without a warning. A really good work and he felt a small pride. He had been one of their instructors after all. And they were doing a good job, he had to admit.
“Are you ready to kill?”
He spat into the face of the man before him and earned a fist to the face for it. Blood dripped from his broken nose.
“Lupin is on the way already. There’s no need to be so hostile, old man.”
Damn. How had they made him go?!
The man before him laughed and hit him again, this time the fist hit his solar plexus, making him throw up in pain.
“You still have a chance to kill him if you’re fast enough.”
“I won’t.”
“I gave him 24 hours. And there is no rush.” A short gesture and the two men dragged him into another room, making him dread the things he and the other instructors had taught them, when he saw the instruments.
 ~~~~
Interpol headquarters. It would have been easier if they had allowed him to disguise himself as Zenigata!
Cursing he checked his uniform he had taken from a passed out officer. Well, passed out wasn’t that right, he admitted with a grin.
He would get the disc, bring it back and take his partner and get out of there. Far away from those maniacs.
“Officer, what are you doing there?”
He snapped back into reality, donning a smile and saluting in front of the captain.
“I was checking the premises as I was asked to do,” he answered.
A nod from the other man and he was free to go. He would need to be fast to get to the right floor. The shadow had told him the exact coordinates of the disc, making him suspicious. Why did the ICPO hide a disc with nuclear codes in their best guarded safe? Why did they have something like this in the first place? Something wasn’t right.
He thought about it the way through the building. Maybe the disc was something else? Briefly he remembered a different disc, containing the secret identities of all the MI6 agents. Maybe the ICPO had something similar?
No time to think. He had to get to the right floor and find a way to get into that safe, guarded by a difficult security system.
 ~~~~
You had enough! There had to be a way to get out of here?! Those bastards had killed Goemon! You threw yourself against the door for the fourth time when it swung open.
Shocked you couldn’t even react and fell to the floor, surprised by the sudden change.
“You wanted to get out?”
You blinked, silent – were you dreaming?
Zenigata grinned at you with a bruised face, missing two teeth.
“We need to get you out of here,” he told you, grabbing your arm.
You blinked again, and then the memories came back. Frantically you searched the floor for the head you had seen.
“It was a puppet. A scheme to break you. And Lupin.”
You shook your head. How!?
“Interpol’s special unit. They are specialized in anti-terror… well, I thought that.”
“Interpol?!” you had found your voice and were now eyeing the Inspector in front of you. He was a bloody mess, shirtless and bruised. Several deep cuts were on his body and you thought that a few fingers of his must be broken.
He growled before answering.
“I had a feeling about that case you were involved in. Seems I was right.”
“Inspector!”
You and him turned your heads towards the voice, seeing Yata dragging a half-conscious Jigen with the help of a hurt Goemon.
With a heavy weight falling from your shoulders, you rushed to your friends, hugging them and carefully looking over them for injuries.
“I found them where you told me. Inspector, what is going on?!” The young assistant seemed distressed.
“Doesn’t matter. Get Jigen and Goemon out of here and keep them safe,” Zenigata ordered, taking a short glance at you. “And you will need to help me here.”
You nodded. He had saved your friends and there was no sight of Lupin.
“They told me Lupin is on his way to steal something they want. We need to know where he is. And what they want.”
“Wait, wait, wait!” Your brain was too slow to catch up.
“What bad feeling with the case I was involved in?!” you asked him.
He began to walk and you followed him, curious.
“After the second dead kid I had a hunch and followed a trace. A man of the Special Unit had been sighted near the crime scene.”
“They were 4 men,” you told him.
“Five. A sniper to keep trouble away.”
“But he didn’t shoot.”
“Then why are you limping?”
You stopped and stared at him. You were a sniper yourself and knew the priorities.
“Why didn’t he shoot me then?”
“He wanted to be found out.”
You shook your head in disbelief but Zenigata grabbed your hand and dragged you with him.
“His brother was the one to come to me after the fourth case. He was killed before he could confess his crimes. The sniper was the younger brother, I think he wanted to end the secrecy of this.”
“Why kids?! Why the blood?”
Zenigata dragged you into a room full of monitors and flicked through the different cameras, searching for something.
“To sell it to some rich guy. They all had the same blood type. Some special thing from India or something. I am not a scientist.”
“The Bombay Blood group.”
He turned around and looked at you surprised.
“Lupin is the same. He can give blood to anyone but he needs a donor from the same group to receive blood from.”
“And how do you know that?!”
You grinned a bit, remembering him telling you one evening and your search for a few pints of this blood group to have a stash safe if he would ever need it.
“He’s my love after all.”
Zenigata rolled his eyes and turned back to the monitors.
“Stupid love-bugs,” he grumbled.
 ~~~~
There hadn’t been a problem so far. The guards were wearing masks but he still had gotten around them and used the sleeping gas he preferred. Right now they were in the land of dreams, leaving him the peace to deal with the security system.
Modern electronics, an elaborate laser system and an old fashioned safe that was safe from the newer generation of thieves because it was too outdated to be used anymore. Luckily his grandfather had taught him his first steps in cracking a safe with a similar model. Even then this model had been old.
“Show me your secrets…,” he said to the computer as he was cracking the codes and disengaging one system after another. The instructions of the shadow had been precise and worked. He must be an insider. But still the main thought of the thief went to the disc. What was on it?!
 ~~~~
He had found a camera in front of a door that he wanted to investigate.
“If I’m right this is the main office. And we will find our…”
His voice was drowned in a siren.
“Don’t tell me we were discovered,” you said, growling. He said he knew the Unit! Then he should know their security, right?!
A gun was thrown into your hands.
“You have the permission to kill.” His voice was toneless and you knew how heavy this decision was on the Inspector.
“Because they won’t hesitate to o the same to you,” he explained and loaded another gun.
“Are you really okay?” you asked him, eyeing his still bleeding wounds.
“I won’t back down now.”
 ~~~~
“My, aren’t you a beauty…,” he purred and let his fingers caress the metal of the safe. A quick glance on his wristwatch told him he still had 12 hours. He would need 5 to get back to his captors. 2 hours were planned for escape and getting on a plane or hijack a helicopter. Something like this. This left him with a good few hours to crack this safe. And he would need them.
Kneeling in front of the safe, he got out his equipment. Those old models were often rusted but this was clean and cared for. The lock would be easy to pick, but any mistake would reset the code of the safe, making it harder to crack each time it was resetted. Those old safe makers sure were a crazy bunch.
A brief thought to his lover made him smile. He had to be extra gentle with this lock, just like with them.
 ~~~~
So far you had killed 3 men and still hadn’t left the floor. The office was still far away and those men pestered you with their skills.
“Trained by the best.”
“Didn’t you say you trained them?”
He had the nerve to grin at you.
“I taught them…” his grin vanished as he remembered who he was talking to.
“We should hurry.”
You nodded and took cover in another room, watching out for any guards. Gaining metre by metre you made your way to the stairs, followed by Zenigata.
 ~~~~
The door swung open without any sound. He whistled by this care. Whatever was in there must be really important if they took such good care about the safe and the security. Maybe his theory on the missile codes was right after all?
He stopped in his tracks when he saw the contents of the safe. There was nothing. Just the disc. No money, no important documents, not even a weapon. What the hell was on this disc?!
He took it and turned around.
“This is as far as you go, thief.”
He grinned at the guards in front of him.
“I am not a thief. I am THE thief,” he told them as he activated a button on his shirt, enveloping them with a smoke screen and slipping past them.
“The great Lupin!” he added as he activated the security system behind him and trapped the guards inside the safe room.
 ~~~~
Zenigata pointed to the door in front of you and you nodded. The plan was simple. Storm the room, get as many hostages as possible and try to find Lupin. Or at least a way to communicate with him.
After counting down, you two moved as one as Zenigata kicked in the door.
A single man lifted his gaze from the papers on his desk, watching you two.
“I underestimated you, Zenigata,” he simply said as a shot cracked through the room.
He didn’t say anything, he didn’t move much. He just broke down on his knees, falling forward, leaving you to catch him before he hit the floor.
“Zenigata!” His name escaped your lips as you held his heavy body. The blood flowed from the wound and in a few seconds there already was a pool of it under him.
“Do you care to follow him?” the man asked you. You stared at him. He hadn’t even flinched!!
“Who are you?! What do you want?!”
“Of you? Nothing. But I need your lover to get me something that is mine.”
The way he spoke the word ‘lover’ was disgusting. He seemed emotionless.
“My friends will come back and you will….”
He snapped his fingers and a huge curtain was lifted behind him, revealing a cage with Yata, Jigen and Goemon inside of it.
“Will do what exactly?” the man asked with a raised brow.
“Fuck you!” You raised your gun and shot at him without properly targeting. Even if the magazine was empty and the gun just clicked at your efforts, you couldn’t stop yourself to pull the trigger time after time at this unmoving man.
“I spared you from torture in order to get this stupid thief to move on my will. But now that he’s moving, I don’t need you anymore. Do you know what that means?”
You growled.
“Your men are dead!” you told him.
“Do you really think I need help to deal with you?!”
He got up and walked around his desk towards you, pointing the gun at you which he had use to shoot Zenigata with.
“You pissed me off. I won’t give you a quick death. And there won’t be tricks anymore.” He turned and shot in the direction of the cage, hitting Goemon in the shoulder.
“I will deal with you properly.”
You screamed your frustration out of your system and launched yourself against him.
 ~~~~
The whole building was in high alert and he had to change his disguise three times to leave it without raising any suspicions. What a work! He scratched the Interpol headquarters from his list of buildings for a planned heist. He would never get into there again if he could avoid it. Too much trouble.
By now there had to be a warrant for him to all the officers on patrol, right? He should avoid the crowded streets and stick to the alleys to get away unnoticed. This would cost him another hour at least! Slowly it was becoming a hassle to work in such a short time.
He cursed and quickened his pace. From a man he stole the hat, a woman lost her scarf while passing him. A new shirt was snagged from a clothes line and he changed while running though the streets. He would need to steal a car to get to the airport on time.
 ~~~~
Everything hurt. You had trained with the gang on most days and you weren’t weak either, but still you were struggling to keep up with a trained soldier. He was fast and stronger than you, but you used your quick reflexes to avoid the heavy punches. He had lost his gun during the fall and had resorted to a fist fight with you.
A punch hit you on the side on your head, making your ears ring and your head spin. This would leave a bruise… or worse. You felt the nausea and tried to ignore it.
A knee to his side had him grunting in pain and you threw your weight on your side to roll him over and get him under you.
His fist punched your side and left you breathless while you worked on his face, landing a few hits there.
Was he a monster?!  You were sure you had broken his nose and most of his ribs and he was still beating at you like a fresh man!
“Kill him.”
You heard the order from behind you and nodded. There was no other way anyway!
Slowly, with a bit hesitation, you placed your hands on the throat of your enemy and pressed them into the flesh.
 ~~~~~
He had seen the roadblock from far away and decided to test his luck. After all this would bee the fourth time he turned the stolen car around to find an unblocked road. He would never mess with Interpol again, Lupin swore. How could someone like Pops join such a stupid thing?! He would need to talk to him about that.
He accelerated and held the steering wheel in an iron grip with the eyes glued to the roadblock. Hopefully the officers there would get out of the way of his car… he closed his eyes in the last second and broke through the roadblock.
 ~~~~
He didn’t move anymore and still you pressed your hands on his throat until your knuckled turned white.
“He’s dead. Let him be.” A bloody hand reached for yours and when you looked up you could see Zenigata’s pale face mere centimetres away from yours. Slowly he eased every finger each away from your victim. You had shot people. You had seen them die at your hands. But you never had killed someone so closely. It changed you and you could suddenly understand why Jigen had sometimes scoffed at you for saying killing was quite easy. You would never say that again.
“The others. Help them.”
Blood ran over the Inspector’s chin and you wiped it away with your bare hands. He flinched a bit, leaving it to you to judge the reason.
The nausea had started to push into your consciousness and left you crawling towards the cage to free your friends. Where was the key…?
 ~~~~
From then on it was easy. Get to the airport, steal an unguarded helicopter, start it. He still had enough time to make it back to them, to give them the disc and just run. He felt like shit. What would happen if he came back? His partner would hate him for obeying those terrorists. For letting his friends die… Jigen’s execution and Goemon’s dismembered body came to his mind and made him sick to the bones. He was scum for letting this happen. The lowest point in his life had been reached today.
With numb fingers he tipped the coordinates of the hideout into the GPS and let out a sigh. He had seen Zenigata on the monitors. At least the Inspector was still alive to arrest him for his sins.
 ~~~~
You watched the sunset with a cigarette and the hip flask of Yata while the man himself cared for the injuries of the others. You had seen enough blood for today.
The alcohol burned its way from your mouth into your stomach, making you feel alive and to warm you from inside.
You got up when you heard the helicopter and strolled back to the makeshift sickbay.
Yata looked at you and you had to stifle a laugh. His hair was a mess and his clothes had stains of blood and grass.
“Seems like the missing thief is back,” he said, also hearing the helicopter.
You nodded and kneeled next to Goemon, placing a hand on the bandage around his shoulder. The Samurai huffed and said nothing. He was ashamed of being caught like that and had a puppet made of him to make Lupin believe he was dead.
“How’s Jigen and Zenigata?” you asked the officer opposite of you.
“Jigen’s stable and I stopped the bleeding of the shot wound of the Inspector… what about you?”
He had offered to take care of your wounds but you had dismissed him to care about the more severely injured.
An engine roared and several cars appeared on the horizon.
“And here’s the cavalry,” you said surprised at how slow Yata’s colleagues showed up after his cry for help before storming the secret base of his former associates.
“Better late than never,” he replied but you could see the disappointment clearly written on his face. He had to be saved by someone of Lupin’s gang instead of the police. That must have hurt.
 ~~~~
He was surprised to see the small group on the ground after landing. And two of them were supposed to be dead…
Not caring about the police cars coming at him, he went straight for his friends. He wanted nothing more than to hug his partner and never let them go. He would never let them go again. His walk broke into a run and he closed the distance to them.
 In the end the Police let them go. There would be no case regarding this slip-up. The disc was safe with them again and they had other problems than to deal with a third-class thief and his band of misfits.
All of you were checked into a hospital with completely false names and history, courtesy of Interpol. The cracked skull of yours would need some time to heal up, but when you saw Lupin standing in the doorframe to your room holding a huge get-well-basket, you had to smile. The time would fly faster than you would like.

When Jade gets bucked off the bronc (after heeding Caleb’s warning), even though Tim did the right thing and told Jade she couldn’t ride until she was cleared and then rebutted against Caleb’s ‘I told you so’, i could tell that deep (deep deep?) down, he was still really worried. Jade is like his second daughter.
Tim tries to get Jade to see a doctor - and then get Georgie to keep an eye out for her; unfortunately for him, this is when Jen finally decides to be assertive and enforce the no cell phone policy. (Go Jen!)
Lucky for Jade, even though Georgie “hasn’t been a very good friend”, Georgie is there for her when Jade finally admits that she’s scared she won’t be able to rodeo again; she doesn’t know who she is without it; and while I can’t emphasize - I know of many professional athletes have struggled to adjust to normal life once they retire. That being said, I am pretty sure that she will be able to rodeo again - once she’s recovered.
Jade announces, to Tim’s dismay (he really does care about Jade!!) that Jade needs to take a few months off from the rodeo, leaving her unable to win events/money. Tim tries to get her to stay and mentor the younger kids; that an injury does not mean the end of a career but she ends up driving away. Frankly, i’m surprised no one else got a concussion earlier - Rodeo is not a safe sport.
The risk? A concussion, getting seriously injured.
The reward? Glory, scholarships, money
Peter
So I ship him with Jen. Period. It’s also nice to see him at Heartland and him/the family getting along when Lou isn’t there (where is she?). And apparently, Katie is with Lou. Apparently.
Anyways, Peter and Jen both bond over the fact that they both can’t keep track of their kids (but hey, at least they’ve seen them so they know they’re alive!). Luckily, Peter has Jack who advises him to spend time with her daughter doing things that are ‘cool’ (like horse riding and running; really cool things) or things that they both enjoy, which is sound advice.
With Peter in Van, and Georgie not being able to travel as much as Katie (who has apparently seen the world already), it’s always nice to see father and daughter bonding.
Caleb
Honestly, can’t help but laugh when Caleb asks Tim to return all his stuff, which includes a picture of him & Tim “at their first partnership”. Perhaps it’s the music int he background but I keep on forgetting Tim is someone Caleb looked up too.
Caleb ends up quitting - and then once Tim apologizes, happily gets out of the car. Let’s see how long this partnership goes on without problems - frankly i’m surprised it went on that long without a hitch before.
Oh - and not ENOUGH Caleb this episode. Not even a mention of Cass! I was waiting for him to show up at the rodeo with their dog and be like, “Cass says i’m on dog duty today.”
Amy & Ty
Amy and Ty are going camping - in an RV with a flat screen! (after a client was so grateful for saving their potbelly pig? OK?)
“Plus, we have a less than stellar record of travelling together” - Amy
Wiser words have never been said; Mongolia didn’t end great - and even though the road trip where their car gets stolen to the clinic is still to date one of my favourite episodes... neither one was ‘as expected’
“This is going to be the perfect family vacation” - Ty
“Famous last words” - Amy
Lyndy spots a puppy (a real one, not her stuffed animal) and the dog is fricking adorable. Anyways, Ty fixes the dog with no real problems and then the dog runs away, he tries to call for the dog... by the word ‘Dog’, which I also laughed at because I totally have done that before.
Another note, why are Amy and Ty sleeping with their heads at the end of the bed? I guess they took a nap but even so, wouldn’t you sleep the other way?
Anyways, once they miss the sunset, Ty admits he wanted to be perfect because he wanted the perfect first family trip for Lyndy, just like he had with his family at Eagle Lake. AKA the last time they were together before his dad left. It was really refreshing to see that Ty wasn’t completely over his fear of being a bad parent; and Amy comforting him that while Ty got ‘one great trip’ but Lyndy is going to get ‘multiple great trips’. Frankly, it’s nice to see them communicating about their fears, only for them all end up in the same bed with the dog (named Penny) and Lyndy in the morning - just like Ty’s ‘perfect family vacation’.
Last thing; I’m actually surprised that they had someone claim the dog because I actually thought that they’d end up adopting the dog by the end of the episode.
Tim
So... I almost forgot we still know nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING about what happened between Casey and himself. Is this why he’s acting this way towards Caleb when they’re supposed to be “partners?” (maybe) Is this why he’s annoying Jack more than usual? (YES)
ANYWAYS LATER ON WE FINALLY LEARN WHAT HAPPENED!! LIKE WHY COULDN’T WE SEE THIS CONVERSATION!! UGHHH ASJDKHA writers!!!
Okay anyways, what actually happened; he went to propose to Casey but when he was there, realized it wasn’t the right thing to do and Casey agreed. So that’s why he can’t be with Casey. But... excuse me, if they both agree marriage isn’t the next step why can’t he be with Casey?! Why can’t they just be common-law or something else, like surely there has to be an in between they’re both comfortable with? Why is it marriage or nothing?! MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE this would be more clear if we actually heard this convo?
In some cases, if one wants marriage and one wants to stay bf/gf then I totally get it but, if we’re going off of what Tim says and they BOTH agreed marriage isn’t right, for whatever reasons... what’s the problem?!?!
“You know what’s worse than being complicated? Being dead” - Jack
Next (Next) week
Wyatt & Georgie meddle in some old lady’s business, Ty brings something home that Amy is expecting and Jack reaches his breaking point with Tim (telling him to leave!)
