🪐Random - Kpop survival show trainees and astrology placements - thoughts🪐

- Including my insights of trainees from this kpop survival show called boys planet I have been watching and finding their astrology placements, may not include all of their big 6 -

Boys planet is a kpop survival show that has 93 trainees and there will missions of performances and elimination rounds to determine the final lineup for the group. It consists of korean trainees and global trainees (different nationalities). I kinda got invested and decided to dissect the trainees that are my favorite or eye catching.

July 25. 2000 Zhang hao - leo sun, taurus moon, cancer mercury, cancer mars

- altho he’s not the oldest trainee in the show, he has good leadership and is reliable when he lead his group for their audition song for the ranking test

- with his cancer mercury and cancer mars, he is very passionate about dancing and music, he rlly feels the music or able to understand and express it

- Idk why but taurus placements always have something to do with music, whether singing or playing an instrument, in his case he does both lol he plays the violin professionally and apparently had a certificate as a singing teacher

June 13. 2001 Sung hanbin - gemini sun, pisces moon, gemini mercury, sag mars

- geminis and being multitalented beings, he’s well rounded in singing, dancing and rap (potentially). The song he chose was able to showcase his experience in dancing, his moves were very sharp and clean and on beat, his vocals were able to transition from head voice to chest voice to avoid a voice crack. He also rapped briefly in his chosen audition song.

- He also has stage presence and nice facial expression, very center material -> gemini sun + pisces moon make for such expressive and creative individuals 😭

- No surprise he has sag mars, bro loves to dance and even said he had spent 2 years learning different dance such as wacking and locking moves I think.

May 28. 2002 Seok Mathew - Gemini sun, capricorn moon, gemini mercury, cancer stellium with cancer venus, mars, and jupiter

- omg he has a cancer stellium??? No wonder everyone adores his energy, saying that his smile can put a smile on their face 😭 literally his nickname is “happy virus” cancer stellium energy 🤝 making everyone comfortable and warm

- Adorable and friendly, he’s also a very good singer, and has good dance to back it up. Gemini mercuries slaying raps or quick paced songs, becuz he sang a song with quick beats to it and was super stable even when dancing.

- Capricorn moon makes him quite hardworking and levelheaded, and considering he trained for 1 year and 6 months his skills are pretty good.

March 8. 2001 Jay chang - Pisces sun, leo moon, aquarius mercury, sag mars (surprise surprise)

- Pisces suns 🤝 singing/entertainment industry

- He’s a very good vocalist and a groovy dancer (cough sag mars), I notice his tone is also husky-like or rough in a good way when singing, its very dynamic - aquarius mercuries tend to have unique tones when speaking or singing.

March 6. 2001 Wang zihao - Pisces sun, cancer moon, aquarius mercury, sag mars (they just keep showing up)

- (sag mars 🤝 main dancer potential) Dancing is his forte, he also learned how to krump, a type of technique, from a professional dancer who’s a krump master.

- His vocal tone and voice is also unique having aquarius mercury, having a soft yet cheerful tone. His water signs for his sun-moon rlly makes him have that lovable vibe, he’s very smiley “😊” too.

February 13. 2004 Anthonny - Aquarius sun, scorpio moon, aquarius mercury (again)

- He’s lovable becuz of his quirky and creative ways, aquarius sun and mercury coming in clutch. For instance his introduction video was him dressed in a panda onesie holding a bamboo prop and acting out as a panda for the entrance.

- Not only is he lovable he also has duality, able to pull off cool charismatic concepts!

- Both Anthonny and jay have a distinct tone when singing which distinguishes their style from the others. Anthonny’s tone is more of a vibrant high-pitch tone thats has a bit of texture? To it 🥲 Idk how to explainn but its the texture of a rattleshaker in a good way 🥸

July 4. 2001 Keita - Cancer sun, sag moon, gemini mercury, sag mars (again)

- Keita is good at rapping, gemini mercuries and spitting bars or able to handle fast pace with their words fr tho

- He’s also rlly good at dancing, he’s basically well rounded with good vocal range, rap, and dance.

- He’s also helpful, empathetic, and caring (cancer sun + sag moon), noticing and helping some trainees who were struggling with the choreo.

Spot how many sag mars there are 😂😭 Also the amount of aquarius mercuries, do I have a thing for these placements? 😭😶 Ig im attracted to unique voices and funky dancers… Also the amount of geminis and pisces 😶✋🏻🤝 love leos and cancers too.

a/n: just, fyi, I know Jaemin doesn't like alcohol irl but this is just for fun and based on their personalities from my perspective so..no bs, thx? this also stemmed from a convo with @neoculturecollectives lol

Mark: While I know parts of Mark would be a tinge horny, I feel wine drunk Mark is probably more endearing. You could both be lying in bed scrolling through your phones one minute, then the next he’s tugging you up and dancing with you. From salsa to slow dancing to a krumping battle. LOUD. SINGING. As he notices the time, he’ll pull you close, calming back down. Planting light, wet kisses along your neck. He’s pulled you so close that you can feel his slight hard-on through his loose fitting pajama pants. Rocking the two of you side to side, he leans his head back and gives you a slow and sweet but firm kiss on the lips just as you begin hearing fireworks outside. “Happy New Year, baby. I know it’s- I-I know it’s not, you know, easy, but, thank you. Thank you for supporting me and sticking with me through it all. It’s such a blessing and I really appreciate it. So, uh, yeah. Renjun: Again I see this as maybe something solo. Having a good time drinking alone but then he gets lonely and tired of talking to himself so he video calls you with lightly flushed cheeks. You’re mainly silent as he rants to you, becoming flustered as the conversation moves to a more personal and intimate subject, “It’s been almost 6 months since I last got laid. I’m tired of using just my hand ya know?”

Jeno: Laying his head on your lap as you stroke his hair, watching the countdown on the couch. His arms are wrapped around your torso as he nuzzles his face into your tummy. When he pulls his head back you meet his dancing puppy dog eyes with an eyebrow raise before he gives you a big innocent-like grin, “Can I eat you out?”

Haechan: Quietly creeps into the kitchen as you’re in there grabbing a fresh bottle and a few finger foods to offset the alcohol. As you’re on your toes reaching for the wine he wraps his arms around you without warning, just rutting against your backside. His whines get louder as you do nothing in response to him, just continuing to prep your snacks. “Baby please touch my cock.”

Jaemin: Straight up chilling on the couch. Looking down at you, on your knees between his legs. He’d just be gently caressing your head, dabbing away the makeup running from your eyes as his opposite hand pushes your head forward to take more of him down your throat. There’s a slanted, dopey eye-smile on his face as he slightly slurs, “You’re granting me a very nice New Year’s wish.”

Chenle: Alternating between circling the couch and pacing in front of you. He was already a chatty individual, but he was just throwing everything at you tonight. It was actually kind of cute how he’d hiccup and stutter in between sentences. “And I know I play hard to get and talk sh-shit a lot, but I just want the guys to know I love them. A-AND YOU- I LOVE YOU TOO.” Before eventually calling all the members to tell them how much he loves them.

Jisung: There are a few words to describe his state. Clingy. Whiney. Needy. Take your pick. You’re in his favorite spot: his lap. This time back to chest. His arms are tight around you and his face buried in your neck. He’s whining in the crevice, making you giggle as it tickles. “Noonaaa. Pay attention to me.” That’s all he’d be saying but you’re too engrossed in the NYE performances happening on the Times Square Ball Drop. It gets to a point where he gives up, leaning back and grumbling. The night probably ends with him forgiving you after giving him apology head when you go to bed.

34. BELGIUM Jérémie Makiese - “Miss you” 19th place

Lol remember that scene from Borat where Sasha Baron Cohen attempts to kidnap Pamela Anderson and yells “PAMELA I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!! NAWT!!!!! 😭” while being carried away by her bodyguards? That has always been the first thing I think about whenever I hear "Miss you”.

Given how anonymous “Miss you” is, it’s almost impressive that it foremost manages to be really fucking annoying to me. Moreover, its brand of “annoying” has *layers*, like a trifle of tepid tedium.

At the core of this Ennui Onion we have the insipid attempt to tell an “I’M FINE I’M FINE I’M FIIIIIIIIIIINE” post-break up storyline through inane “well sometimes i feel sad, but other times I feel just fine I guess 🤷‍♀️” verses. Is Jérémie over this break-up and just pretending to be sad because that’s what’s expected of him, or is he deeply disturbed and Playing It Cool For Appearances? The answer to that is “five televote points, find someone who cares”.

Belgium then further doubled down on their irritatingly pointless story of "Jérémie is fine except for when he isn’t” by making his song pointlessly irritating. Oh WHOA, a Bond Theme opening from Belgium? No way?! A clumsy and forced RnB transition to simulate emotional growth where there is none? So novel! How do we improve that? Why, by sprinkling in some next-level screaming, of course!

The FUCKING screaming oh Qod that’s the worst bit of it all. You have singing, then the vocal show-offery that Anja Nissen and Sheldon Riley are infamous for (but again, belting is FINE, just don’t make it... your main stratagem); and right at the bottom there’s Jérémie squealing fucking NOT-jokes, complete with Unfortunate Singing Face, yes, let’s not ignore the main televote killer in this equation. Jérémie’s emotional range is as hot or cold according to what the shitty narrative requires it to be, which is not how real people emote! Whoever came up with this song as much understanding of natural progression as Michael Ben David has of consent.

So, it’s almost funny that the entire narrative I just described got fucking nixed in the live staging which chose to solely (SOLELY!) focus on the rhythm instead? I mean, I approve, cuz Melody > Message AND the dancers were pretty talented, but that makes the whole song feel even more pointless and irritating. Why even have this at all! Why not just make a fun RnB song instead that actually COULD have gotten a few more televotes? Gaaaaaaghfgiigfrger!g!

Also, the ballad portion of the song was staged well, and then dancers come on and so do the copious wideshots. Is this yet another example of Belgian staging falling apart due to shitty music or another example of RAI’s fucking incompetence, take your pick. Still, Why doesn’t Jérémie dance along more vibrantly? Why doesn’t he dance along, PERIOD? What’s the point of adding some kick-ass krumping if you’re not going ot use it efficiently? Did Eliot and Sennek really die so Belgium could NOT learn from their past mistakes?!?

All of this amounts to ::checks wiki:: 19th place, a second bottom five televote result with the audience in a row, and a generic Voice Winner’s First Radio Hit, that will also be his only hit ever. I hope you’ve enjoyed by this irritatingly long write-up about this pointless fucking song!

KazuHoku mess of words part 2 (+ Riku-nii-chan)

Ooh yeah, disclaimer: the translations and transcriptions are rough approximations, I'm still learning Japanese so this is practice for me. Take it with a grain of salt! And BL disclaimer, it's not real, they're not a couple, I'm just having fun with what they show us~

(psst, skip on over to 27:43 if you wanna get to the flirty KazuHoku parts lol) Episode 2, aired 08/20/17: - 03:21: The trio get back from performing at their first open mic. Hokuto is visibly distressed and both Riku and Kazuma reassure him. Kazuma does his best to comfort Hokuto, once again, it's so sweet: Kazuma: 最初にしってはよくなかった？ (It went well in the beginning didn't it?) Riku: 俺は手ごたえ感じてた反応が良かった (Yeah, I felt we got a good response, it went well) Kazuma: ホクトはすげぇ悔しいんだろうなとは思ったけど (Hokuto you seemed very frustrated) Hoku-chan: うん (Yeah) Riku: 逆にどうが嫌だったの？(Well, what didn't you like about the experience?) Hoku-chan: （自分の声が）聞こえなかったんですよ (I couldn't hear [my voice] very well) Hoku-chan: マイク入ってんのかっていうくらい (It was like the microphone was stuck inside me)(alt trans: It was like my voice was stuck inside the microphone) Kazuma: って感じだったよね (Yeah, it felt like that) Riku: でもね俺とホクちゃんなんか小っさかったマイクのと思ういんですか (But I think Hoku-chan, you and I were given smaller microphones, so...)[referring to the weak output, I think, so that's why they couldn't hear their voices very well] Hoku-chan: みんなレベルが高すぎて下手な人いなかったし (Everyone there was hella good, no one was bad at all) Kazuma: 本当だよな (That's true, yeah) Kazuma: マジで良かったと思うよ (I'm glad we did it though) Riku: 良かったはず (Me too) Kazuma: なんかホクトはすげぇ落ち込んでるけど (Hokuto, you still seem down about it) Kazuma: そんな落ち込むことではない (It's nothing to feel bad about) Riku: うん (Yeah) Hoku-chan: 全然落ち込んでねぇし (I'm not, really, lol) [Hoku-chan is trying to cover up still] Kazuma: [he looks over to Hokuto] Don't worry (in English) Riku: Don't be sad, don't be sad (in English) Kazuma: [lol he does this weird high-pitched voice] Hokuto, no problem, ok? (in English) Hoku-chan: [he lols at them both]じゃラメン食べて行こうぜ (Then, let's go get ramen!) [Kazuma laughs hehe mission accomplished Hokuto has cheered up] Hoku-chan: [he's switched over to the other bed with the two] あーでもいい経験だったな (Ahh~ but it was a good experience tho) Kazuma: うんだいぶ (Definitely) Riku: いい経験でした (It was) Hoku-chan: くらったなー [I think he's jokingly admitting the nerves got to him; Riku and Kazuma laugh. Hoku-chan will be ok :)] Kazuma: まあでも次頑張ればいいさ (C'mon, we'll do better next time) Kazuma: て言う、リハできないんだから、今日のがリハだと思ばいいんだよ (Besides, we didn't have time to rehearse, so think of today as a rehearsal) Kazuma: もう終わったから！次！次！Next! (We finished the rehearsal! Move on to the next one! Next!) Riku: O.K.! Hoku-chan: よし！ (Yeah!) Kazuma: がんばろうー (Good luck to us~)

Lol, why does Hokuto have his cap back on if they're about to go to sleep. Are y'all planning to sneak out at 2am in the morning?? The next day, Kazuma and Riku go to pay homage to Kool Herc (who I learned is known as the founder of hiphop - I love that I'm also learning new stuff while watching this show) in the South Bronx. Hokuto's on his own and starts off the day buying himself a new pair of sleek red Nikes at the NBA shop.

- 12:22: Hokuto's face when he finds out how much $140 USD is in Yen LOL Hokuto goes and watches a Motown show. - 15:08: Lol he eyes the food at the table beside him, baby looks hungry (caption: 隣のテーブルと同じものを注文？ Should I order the same thing?); cut to Hokuto with the same order! Yay! I mean, いえーい! He totally enjoys himself here. The next day, it's Hokuto's turn to go out with Riku and they head to a recording studio on 54th street. Kazuma goes to Union Square to get his krump on. - 16:06: Riku is trying to explain to Hokuto how addresses work in the US since it's very different from Japan. Hokuto looks confused but nods yes anyway lolol. What a cute moment between the two, Riku is like a big bro to Hokuto here. - 16:21: "Ni-Hyaku-Yon-Juu-Yon-W, Go-Juu-Yon-T-H. わかります？" then that look between them after LOL I don't think he gets it, Riku-nii-chan - 19:33: Damn, I want singing lessons now and I don't even sing. It's so interesting! I'm skipping over to after Hokuto and Riku's dance lesson at the EXPG studio. As for Kazuma, he finds a fellow Japanese krumper. - 25:53: Hoku-chan learns about Uber and Riku-sempai goes into explaining mode again hehe. - 26:35: Hokuto and Riku finally get back to the hotel. Somehow, they really feel like onii-chan and otooto (big bro and little bro) lol. "Boku to Hokuto" it rhymes! Hokuto looks more relaxed this time. OMG here it is - the KazuHoku portion of the episode - they go to Brooklyn (Riku goes to Queens). Before this part, I really didn't think much of the bed situation (shhh that's a lie) - I thought, they're just kidding around with each other, y'know just doing normal boy things... But THIS. This one, I'm like damn, you guys really ARE flirting lol. Riku-sempai was right! - 27:43: they head out of the hotel sans Riku. I swear, Hokuto looks like a 13-year-old next to Kazuma even though they're the same age (20 at the time). - 28:08: ok this is where it starts. Hokuto comments on the weather when his Miyazaki dialect comes out, and both Kazuma and the cameraperson notice it; Kazuma laughs a little (you probably think it's cute, dontcha Kazuma? lol). - 28:33: let's check on Riku. He's in Queens and he waves hi at schoolchildren with their teachers. Yeah this is the part where the narrator gets hilarious. Also, Riku really loves kids aww. - 30:20: Hokuto and Kazuma are heading down the street to check out graffiti. Hoku-chan's dialect comes out again: Hoku-chan: They even graffiti on the trUHcks! Kazuma: On the "trUHcks"? Hoku-chan: (pointing at the truck) Even on the trUHcks. Kazuma: The trUHcks? trUHcks? (Kazuma you little shit lol) Hoku-chan: (he's caught on but he's not giving in lol you can see the grin on his face as he emphasizes it more) Yah, the trUHCKs also have graffiti :D Kazuma: trUHCKs, trUHck - hey now you're just doing that on purpose lol [then he lightly pats Hokuto on the back] Hoku-chan: (he does this cute wiggle) Aw, please pardon my accent. Kazuma: (mimics Hoku-chan) "Please pardon my accent~" No way! Hoku-chan: Aww, c'mon, please~ (you really gotta hear him say it in Japanese, it is fucking adorable. Translation note: he actually says "forgive me" and I translated it based on how the conversation and mood was going. It was a playful mood lol) You can see this huge grin on Kazuma's face as well. He's trying to tease Hoku-chan but Hoku-chan is way ahead of him and teases him back. These two are not good for my heart lol. They keep going like that - Kazuma keeps making fun of his accent and Hoku-chan dishes it right back during their graffiti date, I mean, tour lol. Oh man, really, these two.

- 31:30: LOL they get the shop owner to change the shop's background music to a Rampage song. いえーい! The boys get matching shirts - pink for Kazuma, black for Hokuto. They really like to match, don't they. - 31:58: Back to Riku real quick - LMAO this part and the freakin' narrator. "Oh My God that's OOH-ROOH-sai!!" Seriously tho, Riku I'm amazed you didn't suffer severe hearing loss from those very piercing screams. Good on ya, man, the kids totally loved you. - 35:57: Since they're in the US and they weren't 21 at the time, Hokuto and Kazuma are lamenting not being able to drink liquor. Hokuto shares how he recently started drinking (he and Kazuma just turned 20 that year), and that he'd often go out with Kazuma: Kazuma: It's all a blur for him lol Hoku-chan: It's fun tho! Kazuma: Yeah, it's really fun drinking together. He's always a happy drunk going "heh heh" lol - 36:26: I wanna know what they were talking about just before the cut, Kazuma looks like he's trying not to laugh while Hokuto has this huge ass smile lol The boys are way excited to go to McDonald's, so cute. よしゃー！ - 36:43: They comment again on how big the food portions are (they also mentioned this in episode 1 somewhere). I know the feeling lol. - 36:46: So here's another KazuHoku moment: Hoku-chan: There's only two beds in the room for three of us (lol he's the one who brings it up this time) Kazuma: 2 queen beds Kazuma: I said I was good to sleep on the floor but Hokuto wouldn't shut up about sleeping together on the bed Hokuto: I didn't say that! Me: :0 :0 :0

And that's how I know they ended up sharing the bed :D Also, is it just me, or is Kazuma always smiling when he's alone with Hokuto? It's really adorable, like he can't hide his happiness. Either that or Hokuto being Hokuto probably said something funny just then, intentional or not (probably not lol). - 40:22: Hokuto and Kazuma get done with a show. Love that they're getting a lot of inspiration from this trip. All right, on to the day after! The trio get another singing lesson.

- 42:09: Can we get more songs with these three harmonizing? I looooove their First Take version of "My Prayer" so much, I wish they would do more harmonies!! Acapella even!! Pleeeeaseee!! - 42:31: Instructor gives each of them advice. He comments on Hokuto's beautiful, light tone (I agree!) and advises him to master singing using mixed voice - where you combine both head and chest voice. Once again, this makes me wanna take singing lessons. - 43:45: The trio perform on the subway. Like, okay, I know they're trying to level up their singing, but some of the locals who take that train all the time were probably a little annoyed. Ah, I might be projecting again, suimasennnn~ I hope they got on a car with mostly tourists lol. But hey at least looks like the passengers enjoyed it! Good for the boys :) And that's it for the 2nd episode! One more to go! I noticed that compared to Riku and Kazuma's outing, Kazuma and Hokuto like to stick close to each other. I don't think they notice it, but they gravitate towards each other naturally. Is it because they're the same age? Even if I weren't looking at this through BL lenses, I can tell that they have this friendly rivalry vibe going, and their energies bounce off each other so smoothly - especially when they're riffing off each other; Kazuma likes to take the piss out of Hokuto but Hokuto is no pushover and will come out swinging lol. At the same time, Kazuma knows when Hokuto is down and comforts him without fail. It's that fine line of tension I'm sensing between the two that produces some hilarious and tender moments between them. Let's not forget Riku, I love his older brother vibe with Hokuto. You can see Hokuto relax with Riku in a different way from Kazuma - he just follows Riku like a duckling and was nice enough not to poke holes in Riku's explanations lol. We know that doesn't last though, I didn't dub him "Hoku-chan the Sempai Teaser" for nothing hahahahaha. With Kazuma, he and Riku feel more like equals. To me it's as if Riku knows that Kazuma wants to be the cool kid and be independent, so he just lets him be. Seriously, Riku is such a good older bro lol. And best of all, he knows when to get out of the way when KazuHoku start flirting (his words, not mine, his own words!) - methinks it amuses the heck out of him too ahahahahaha. Riku-sempai the MVP!

Thoughts on Street Dance of China 4 episode 2

(Aka Fishy is screencapping shows again. I’m screencapping straight from Youtube so sorry for the shoddy cut off screencaps but blame Youtube for having their player bar cover the video. I’ve never understood that because it’s always in the way.)

(Also Episode 2 part 1 is really just “How many times can Han Geng and Henry hug” and the answer is “as many times as they want”)

- Not really sure why Henry chose Anissa and Tuzi for the 2 vs. 2 battle, especially since Anissa was really not confident about it :( I felt really bad for Anissa because she seemed super nervous!!!!! I just hope that she doesn’t lose enthusiasm and that she can continue to enjoy the rest of the competition v.v

- Kelo and Uwa were extremely impressive though. Like, the way they move together is so awesome and cool.

- Among the dancers, Xiao Jie is actually really good at speaking. No wonder he gets interviewed a lot, because he’s able to describe the dancers to us layfolk, but he is also very smiley and entertaining.

- How dare Yixing be this cute 😤😤😤 He’s definitely far more relaxed when he’s just a spectator, that’s for sure. He was laughing at all the jokes and awkward moments and generally so much more animated when just part of the sidelines.

- Henry covering his mouth because he was enjoying Xiaohai’s performance was pretty cute too, not gonna lie.

- I liked San’er from episode 1, so I was cheering for him when he participated in the 3 vs. 3 battle lol. But it was really interesting to hear the conversation when Wang Yibo asked his team why San’er lost the battle. Ye Yin and Liangliang told him that to the judges who are old school, they care less for explosiveness, and more for actual skill, and while San’er’s performance might’ve looked really exciting to the average viewer, that’s not what the old school judges look for.

- So apparently Lil Kev plays a lot of mind games, and we saw that during his battle against Bozi. So he’s like...the Brad Marchand of breaking lol.

- Are...are we gonna comment on this hug between Poppin’C and Xiaohai? Lmao

- What are they being so cute for. (Also don’t @ me but Bunta is....really cute)

- Is it just me, or did we get fewer behind-the-scenes practice clips this time for Han Geng vs. Henry compared to Yixing vs. Yibo? Particularly for the 5 vs. 5 battle.

- Dimple alert. (Sorry I know this is a Han Geng vs. Henry battle but Yixing just looks so freaking cute today)

- Han Geng.....has a really soft and gentle voice (it is simping hours up in the fishy house okay). He speaks particularly quietly during his one-person interviews and his voice is so pleasant to listen to in those clips.

- Henry was talking about how he wanted to do that move with Poppin’C where they’d lean back on each other’s knees and do a wave with their arms. For some reason that move struck me as something that was very Henry like. He just strikes me as the kind of guy who uses a lot of waves and smooth-looking moves in his dances.

- Also lol @ Henry being “non fatigue!” That Ontario French curriculum at work.

- Han Geng and Henry trash talking each other except it just turns into a walk down memory lane about how Han Geng used to take care of Henry.

- Don’t even act surprised, y’all knew I was going to screenshot this.

- Kitty is amused.

- Of course Han Geng would end his routine with a big ol’ hug. What a huge softie.

- I did think that Han Geng and Xiaohai were kind of a rough duo because even if they were in sync, it was hard to tell because of the height difference. Actually, I spent a lot more time focusing on Han Geng, especially towards the end when the rest of the team crowded around them and he was visibly one of the taller ones.

- Henry’s move where he stood on Poppin’C’s thighs was super cool!! His performance was just super fun to watch. I felt like I was having a good time along with them haha.

- Please sir, may I have more hugs?

- I think Han Geng and Xiaohai’s second performance was better because it relied less on being in sync performing the same actions. However, at this point, Poppin’C and Henry have kind of created a specific brand (TM) for themselves, like they are so uniquely charming to watch, so they have firmly won me over Han Geng and Xiaohai’s team.

- Running into a hug? Are you kidding me, Lau Hin-wah???

- Not only is this show cashing in on the Suju/Suju M fans, it is definitely going to pull in new fans with the Han Geng/Henry ship lol.

- One of the dancers on Han Geng’s team was crying because he made a mistake in the 5 vs. 5 battle and Han Geng is like why are you crying? And gave him a playful slap on the shoulder.

- Why is that the ads done by the dancer contestants are so much more entertaining than the professional ads (the ads with mainstream celebrities or with professional actors).

- Henry’s written the pinyin on top of the Chinese names of his team members. Better safe than sorry, you know?

- Lmao how dare they bully Tengzai and Shitou by making them talk XD

- I think that when Henry assigns his team members to certain battles, he is thinking more about the combination of styles, rather than the skill level or synchronization. When he assigned Anissa and Tuzi to the 2 vs. 2 battle, he wanted to try out the East vs. West approach, but the opposing duo of Kelo and Uwa had a lot more history together and were obviously better as a collective unit. When it came to Chen Mo and Waiwai, he was interested in seeing a waacking duo. In theory I think I know what Henry was trying to imagine, but I think it is difficult to have a really intense waacking duo because it’d be hard to synchronize very high speed arm movements. In the end, they went with some moves that were simpler, and I think that’s why they lost out to Tengzai and Shitou. That being said, Henry did win his first battle against Han Geng. I think it’s just the 2 vs 2 battles that are his weakness. The 3 vs. 3 battles are really just individual battles, and the 5 vs. 5 battles are usually made up of dancers who are used to routine group dances as opposed to solo or duo dancers.

- A quick word about the judge Icee. His name in Chinese is 王冰冰. The 冰冰 part is self explanatory enough (冰 means ice), so where does the 王 come from? I read somewhere (I forgot where), but apparently his wife’s surname is 王, so he just took on her surname for his Chinese name. Don’t know how true that is, but I think that’s cute.

- So often I see Bunta and Ibuki having fun and cheering on other people, whether it’s their own team members or dancers on other teams.

- Less than a second flashback of Zitao from a previous season v.v Please producers...let us have a LayTao reunion....please....I beg....

- The 5 vs. 5 battle between Yixing and Henry’s teams was pretty fun to watch, probably because the song was so hype lol.

- The leader battles between Yixing and Henry were really entertaining too though.

- The first piece of music for Henry and Yixing’s leader battles was very very cool. Like, it was just a nice piece of music to listen to, and I think that the kind of music it was gave way to rather creative interpretations. Henry and Han Yu went for a more story-based approach, whereas Yixing and MT Pop focused more on an aesthetic. I preferred Yixing and MT Pop’s performance here.

- Henry and Han Yu also had a pretty solid performance for the second song. As for Mingming and Gumball, they didn’t really perform “together,” because they were both doing their own thing, but their individual performances were interesting. (Also let us acknowledge, nothing gets Yixing turnt like KRUMP XD He was so into the performance haha)

- I was so caught up in the euphoria of Henry/Han Geng that I forgot that Henry and Yixing also had a past history, but I think their friendship probably mostly existed off screen. They were from different groups after all, but we also know how low key Yixing has always been. Even if they were bffs we never would’ve known. I also remember on Back to Field, Yixing said that Henry helped him install and set up his music software, so they probably have some kind of rapport on the music side. But yeah, it just seemed like Yixing was rather formal about it all, calling Henry his 哥哥/前輩. And Henry seemed to look at Yixing like his son lol. He was like oh look at Yixing and how far he’s come, etc.

- Xiao Jie said that he’d battled Hilty & Bosch 14 years ago, which means that Xiao Jie isn’t that young, which may be why he’s so chill lmao. Anyway, Xiao Jie is a very entertaining dancer to watch, and he worked well with Shen Zihao. But of course, HB are formidable themselves as well and their chemistry is just too too good. And they’re just incredibly clean dancers.

- Yibo went over to Han Geng to scope out who he was going to send out for their battle. Xiao Jie tried to warn Han Geng about this but he was too late and Yibo already made his attack. But the entire interaction between Yibo and Han Geng was so lols because it was so strange lmao. Yibo was straight up like “who are you going to send out during the battle?” And Han Geng kept thinking that Yibo was trying to play mind games and use that to gleam other information from him. So Han Geng’s answer ended up being really confusing too, he was like “if that’s what you’ve decided I’ll follow your lead.” The thing about Han Geng is that he is too senior for Yibo to clown on, so he is actually being serious, and Han Geng is trying to keep things light haha. (I think Yibo would totally be his normal gremlin self to Yixing and Henry, but Han Geng is like the next tier up from them both.)

- LMAO Aki-san calling out Tony-san for being older than him XD And Tony Gogo was like what have I ever done to you??? I love Aki-san hahahaha.

- Okay Aki-san vs. Nelson was pretty awesome, but SO WAS BORIS vs. ZYKO???? Holy crap that was sooo much fun to watch because like....human bodies can bend that way? And Boris and Zyko aren’t small guys, so it was insanely awesome to watch.

- Side note, Boris’ Mandarin is pretty good. I looked him up and on his Instagram he says he lives in Shanghai, so it makes sense that his Chinese is good enough for everyday communication. In one part of the show he was instruction Yibo on dancing and like, he was not stuttering at all.

- Wait, Han Geng says that he’s known Yibo for 10 years :o So I just looked him up and it turns out Han Geng has been with Yuehua Entertainment since 2010, so I think the math makes sense. Wow, how time flies. He always such a dad though, he’s always like, the top priority is fun and happiness!!! And honestly, he’s right. Like, what is this show if not just a huge dance showcase more than an actual competition?

- Physically impossible for Han Geng not to hug his didis.

- I love that in a dance party full of dancers, some will still choose to slow dance like this.

- Of course Henry will come and praise his gege. (ft. Nelson in the right lol)

- Yo I love Rochka. He’s one of the chillest guys there.

- The kids’ performance was cute :3 Their little jumpsuits uwu

- Also one of the kids was Shitou’s daughter and it was absolutely hilarious how he still introduces her in the most monotonous and neutral voice and he was like “please give her some encouragement” in the most low energy voice ever XD The b-boying kids were super legit though. Oh and apparently Xiao Jie’s son was one of the dancers too :3 Somebody was like “yo Xiao Jie isn’t that your son?” and he was like “lol yeah.” XD Aren’t they cute?

I-Land Ep 4 Thoughts

**Spoilers warning

As more episodes pass, the more I'm starting to dislike this voting system lol. At first, it was a nice idea that the I-Landers would get to pick their teammates, but now, it's just too un-objective, ugh. The original 6 I-Landers that have never left just seem to stick together, which seems increasingly unfair.

Grounders Fire Performance

They had a solid performance. I agree that they seemed to have more consistent facial expressions and feeling of the song overall. Glad that Jay brought them together and they did well! :) Everyone looked so fired up and serious. The Grounders are coming for you, I-Landers! >:)

Jay was a good center! He fit the vibe of the song really well.

Niki's facial expression was awkward during his part when he shrugs and says "gwaenchanha" (괜찮아). The first part he sang was good, but then when he said gwaenchanha, that smirk looked so awkward. I think that's the reason or part of why he didn't get picked to go up.

I’m surprised Hanbin took the vocal part (part 4) that Geonu did. He didn't seem like he's a vocal position. Mm I feel like he hit the notes and his voice was powerful enough, but the pronunciation still sounded a little off.

Voting/ Changes in Teams My prediction was right that all original grounders got voted back to ground. Poor Taeyong who got stepped on got sent back. I thought Yoonwon had decent facial expressions when I watched his fancam, so I didn't expect him to get voted off, but the I-Landers got the impression that he didn't work hard enough. Man, it must really suck being the one with 11 votes because that means everyone voted for you :(.

Sunoo got in the Top 5 and still got voted out. These people need to stop voting Sunoo out because he's just going to keep coming back lol and he deserves to be there. I kinda don't think he should debut with them anymore because wow, they do not deserve him if they keep treating him like this! lol. The same thing with Daniel haha, they both seem more cheerful and have a friendlier vibe than some of the other Islanders. I think they should just debut together with some of the other grounders at this point. Can the grounders just debut a group too? Because they’re winning my heart more than the I-Landers >_<. I think the I-Landers keep voting Sunoo out because he has a more bubbly personality and doesn't really match the others. But I think it's good to have more variety in the team and he seems like someone who could boost the mood. Maybe he rubs the I-Landers the wrong way somehow that we’re not seeing, since he keeps getting voted out even though he does well.

Such a cruel twist of fate that K used his exemption card to save Jungwon, but then caused Taki to go ground :(. K got a good edit here and we got to see his human side of feeling guilty for sending Taki to Ground, even though unintentional. I think Taki is too young, both in age and maturity to debut though. He still seems and looks like a little kid. Even though he's talented and likeable, I think the Company just sent him there to get some exposure/experience.

On a side note, I thought it was funny when "everyone" was surprised that Jungwon got voted out initially. Obviously some of you voted for him, why are you surprised?? lol probably it was the grounders that voted for him. I like Jungwon, but it would've been nice to see one of the Original 6 to go down to ground. That alliance is really becoming too powerful. And it'd be nice to see Jungwon interact with diffent people and experience the friendlier environment of Ground. I'm pretty sure he'd be able to go back up.

I was completely off on my prediction on who'd go up to I-Land lol. I was right about Jay, but wrong about everyone else.(Edit: oh I was right about Jake too haha, so 2/4 right. Better than I thought). It's hard to guess who will go up without seeing the performance though. I'm glad Jake went up and got to be reunited with Sunghoon :) and I was surprised, but happy that Youngbin went up! Glad to see him improve :). He only had 1 line again, but he always does his one line really well.

The Vocal/Dance Choreo and Reps

I'm surprised that the Grounders Dance video seemed to be made specifically for Nicholas and (kinda) Taki to be in. It's possible that someone else could do the locking part, but really no one in the show can do the bboying part except Nicholas. There's an airchair to nike part in that dance, which is probably impossible for someone with no bboying experience to learn and perfect in 5 days.. Are the producers giving Nicholas a chance because they want him in the group? So far he hasn't really stood out much. Or maybe that was like a "suggested" dance break and they can change it? haha I guess we'll see.

When Niki thought Hanbin was a better dance rep than Jaeho, omg I got so excited. I was like yes, Hanbin, show them!! I thought it was nice that he thought about Jaeho's feelings, but Niki was right that he should also consider the good of the team. I liked that Jaeho was accepting of the results and what was best for the team. He didn't take the change personally and continued to work hard. He really wanted that part.

When Zico asked who was the dance rep, Hanbin had such a big, proud smile on his face when he raised his hand. Aww he looked soo happy :)).

It would've been so hype if the Jopping team was reunited! But it seems like Hanbin originally picked to join the Vocal Team, so during the mid-evaluation, I don't think he had enough time and he hadn't memorized all the choreo yet. What a shame :(((. I hope Hanbin gets his confidence back and makes it to I-Land! He has that personality/vibe that I just want to root for >_<. I think he might get into I-Land from the global vote, I don't know if he'll make it to the final group though.

Sunoo and Daniel for the vocal reps!! I loved this team :). It was a blessing in disguise that they both got voted back to Ground. If they were in I-Land, they probably wouldn't have been able to perform because Heesung automatically takes up a vocal spot lol and Geonu has shown more of his vocal ability to the rest of I-Land, so would've been more likely to be voted over them. And like I said before, the I-Landers don't seem to appreciate them -__-".

Funny moments:

In I-Land, the 2002 team (Sunghoon, Jake, and EJ) was so cute. The caption was something like "they're not really in sync, but they're having a good time" hahah. It would've been nice if we saw a clip of them perform.

Mnet is on the Sunghoon and Jake ship, and same lol. There's a dedicated 5 min clip of them just arm wresting on Mnet's youtube channel. I really hope these 2 debut together. Sunghoon has a pretty high chance, but I'm not sure how popular Jake is / his skills, since he hasn't been a trainee for that long. He seems popular internationally, but not sure about in Korea.

*Taki thinking about doing the vocal position* Niki: “We need to do the dance position :)” hahah Niki’s so straight forward and honest xD

Rain after hearing Seon and Jaebom: “Nothing can happen to Heesung and Geonu” me: *ded*

Predictions:

Both vocal performances were solid. I don't have much to say about them and I'm not good at judging vocals. I think the I-Landers will probably win the vocals round though.

From the previews, it seems like the Grounders will win the Dance portion and maybe overall. From the demo videos, the Grounders choreo seems .. more difficult and flashy? They have the bboy part and they have the flip that Niki does. The I-Landers video didn't seem to have any stunts like that, the only part that I remember/stood out was that there was krumping. I liked K’s intro that he made for One of a Kind, that had a chill/cool vibe.

It will be interesting to see Sunghoon krump next week :0. He seems soft and his dance has been more chill/graceful from the first two performances. So we'll see how he'll pull off krumping.

After the last test (test 4), the producers will pick 3 and the I-Landers will pick 3 to go down to Ground. FINALLY a chance for some objectivity and to break the Original 6 alliance (and for Seon to go to Ground lol).

Even Seon admitted that he knows that he's probably not there because of his skill. For someone who was on Produce 101, he is doing a bad job of not being evil edited. You’d think he’d know better.. I think because he's older, he's just really desperate to debut and maybe this is one of his last chances. He's probably also not confident of his skills and thinks his skills aren't good enough, so he's been doing these kinda manipulative/sneaky things. If he worked/focused on his skills and showing a better personality more, I think it’d be harder for them to evil edit him so hard. I hope Mnet stops evil editing him tho, I feel bad for him. I read some posts that said he’s actually really nice and would make a good leader, but Mnet just hasn’t showed that on the show yet :/ so idk.

Minseok/Laun missing hours again so...

MINSEOK DURING SUKHUMVIT SWIMMING ERA

This is the continuation of the Minseok headcanon during RTK era

So they did tell him that ONF is going to have a comeback during the Minseok's visit to celebrate the 2nd place in RTK

Either Minseok keep asking questions or he wants them to not spoil much its doable.

ONF occasionally sending Minseok behind the scene pics (I like the idea that them 7 still using the same chat group)

They can't meet much now because of the pandemic gotten worse

Minseok followed the comeback teaser schedule. Keeping an eye to quench his curiosity every day and lowkey count down+hyping their comeback

"Wow"ing and clapping at most of the teasers. In the chat group, the hyungs might ask if Minseok already seen it or not when he is online.

Minseok starts to heard about ONF in the TV alot, and is hella proud.

Minseok asking question like "Hyojin hyung, Seungjoon hyung why are you guys fighting tho? AH PLEASE DON'T SPOIL IT"

And cues in the members in conflict lol cos Minseok is too cute.

Btw Minseok really thought Changyoon's short hair looks nice. Intimidating at first, but it's nice.

Timidly congratulated his hyungs on the 3rd Anniversary. Then they all sent him soft emoji/emoticons. Hyung line mentioned the 7 of them should hang out again once the pandemic is not severe anymore.

The highlight medley drops and he quickly listened to it. (My guess his fave might be Belle Epoque)

Minseok watched mini game heaven and nearly died of laughter. One of his favourite moments was the return of 22nd century krump session. His hyungs did teased a hint for him saying that they all are exhausted filming that special video. And now he knew why lol

He watched the Weekly Idol episode under his blanket and has a hard time muffling his laughter.

When the MV DROPPED, since he subscribed ONF vlive, he listened and watched the MV instantly. Giving out alot of wows and wahs and all sorts of reactions. Especially during some moments that has previous MV scenes, he couldn't help but be slightly emotional.

Feeling soft for Little Prince Changyoon at the scene he encouraging the blue rose to grow well

Praising Minkyun and Yuto's visual

The ending where they all died, except to Seungjoon who is holding Hyojin scene, Minseok goes, "Oh no, what happened?" And asks his hyungs for that.

Also as he saw Hyojin turns the time, Minseok works out his own theory.

Cues in ONF is baffled cos they did not think much of it🤣

Minseok purchasing the album digitally. His eyes open wide during Good Good when hearing his hyungs developed to 6 rappers. Praising Hyojin and Changyoon's rap

Humming the Eh-ohEh-oh part in his household

Also but not least. ONF congratulating Minseok on his birthday despite their busy schedules. It made Minseok teared up a bit but in a happy way.

I’m assuming you mean from the OrgXIII so here you go ! This was an interesting question lolol - I had to look up and read a lot of articles on wikipedia to make sure I didn’t end up saying bad or weird shit bUT IT WAS SUPER FUN

Xemnas :

Greek, probably ? The language and culture that rivaled Latin and Rome throughout history and despite it’s age, it MANAGES to still be a living language (if you think I overthink too much about metaphors and shit just wait till you read the rest of answers). It also fits all Scala Ad Caelum’s aesthetic inspired by Greece and all the shenanigans with the Norts !

Xigbar :

LEET Speak just to give every homestucker a heart attack. Maybe just surfer speak, if it counts. Xigbar would fit Latin perfectly - it’s a dead language and the source of many other languages just like Xigbar is the fucking source of many things that go down in KH. Cryptic and old, like him ! And considering his ties with the KHux Foretellers and such, it makes sense for him to be Latin, right ?

Xaldin :

I literally have no idea why but I think of Portuguese when I think of Xaldin. I havE LIKE NO ARGUMENTS OR EXPLANATIONS, IT’S JUST A THING (tm) SO YOU’RE FREE TO ADD TO THIS. Or give him a different language to be w h e e z e.

Vexen :

You know when old people try to be hip and come up with shit like How o You Do Fellow Kids / I’ll Krump With You Sweetie ? Yeah that’s him Okay but honestly, when I was a kid I really liked the idea of Vexen just screaming shit in Latin whenever his experiments went wrong. Now that i’m older, I like to imagine the same thing except now he speaks a Slavic language. I wouldn’t be able to tell you e x a c t l y which one, though. But I guess also a language from north Europe would work, like Finnish or Swedish - mostly because the countries remind me of cold weather lol

Lexaeus :

Nghhhh, I wanna say either ASL/Sign Language or Braille - but i’ll go with Braille ! Lexaeus is a quiet man of a few words, so I think it suits him just fine to be a language that doesn’t need to be spoken. And we know he’s tactful and gentle, considering he does a lot of puzzles in his free time, so Braille seems perfect for him ! While he might not actually need Braille, Lexaeus would be that kind of guy who just teaches others how to read and tries to normalize the use of Braille !

Zexion :

A lot of people might give me shit for not making Zexion Latin bUT LIKE LISTEN. THIS SMART BOY WOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE CHINESE/MANDARIN. Think about it, we’re talking about a super flexible language whose entonation can change the meaning of a sentence completely - yes, i’m talking about that one poem that only has ONE word and it still manages to be a fully fledged story. Like, i’m an artist, not a literary major but I still think that’s super smart and dope and i’ll gladly compare that to magic anytime. In retrospect, it matches Zexion’s illusion motif and complex character !

Saix :

Uhhhh, i’d say either Japanese or Russian. Cause both are languages with strong accents and pronunciations which suit Saix’s strong and firm character - and also because Russian reminds me of NASA and space for some reason and Japanese makes me think of that one tale about the rabbit on the moon. Also Japan puts a lot of emphasis in discipline, honor and loyalty too, traits that Saix shares.

Axel :

Axel is definitely Spanish. Not to be confused with the latino dialects from South America ! I’m talking Spain’s spanish ! And no, I didn’t choose this one because it’s an “exotic sexy firey language”, tRUST ME IT’S MY FIRST LANGUAGE AND IT’S ANYTHING BUT THAT - I chose spanish because it’s an abrasive and brash language. Most words (and the insults specially) give the feeling you’re about to spit on someone’s face and be a cocky disrespectful brat OR you’re just a super friendly and extroverted fella - it suits Axel’s previous ruthless mercenary personality with his current and contrasting kind, outgoing self. 50/50.

Demyx :

Okay hear me out, it’s been like 45 minutes since I went researching to write Demyx’s answer and I still don’t know if I have a proper one. I wanted to say a language from India, since it’s where his signature sitar originates from and what else can accompany a sitar better than the language of the place it was pretty much created in ? So researched Ravi Shankar, the Sitar Maestro and a super important figure in indian classical music. But I know barely nothing about that side of Asia, so i’m NOT exactly sure what language he spoke or used in his music ! Like I looked for his songs and they’re in Gujarati, but HMMMM, NOT SURE CHIEF.

So if anyone feels like educating me on this subject, please go ahead. Otherwise I have to give Demyx the way us millennials talk and oH boy.

Luxord :

I’ll go with the obvious choice here : English. Like, back in the day, most people just HC’d Luxord as a britishman because of his mannerisms and etc etc - but like, it works for him ! He’s closely tied to Alice and Wonderland in both the game and the manga, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean like come on it’s rIGHT there. Also imo, british English just sounds like super polite and elegant, the way Luxord acts most of the time.

Marluxia :

Either German or the language of flowers. German because it’s That Type Of Language™ that seems to have a word for every specific thing, action and feeling no matter how obscure - which kinda seems to suit him somehow ? A language with a rough appearance, intimidating to most people due to the hard sounds but eloquent, deep and extensive ! The other option is pretty obvious, considering his power with nature and stuff - Marluxia is definitely the time to give bouquets and flowers as gifts with double edged meanings and intentions.

Larxene :

The only one that comes to mind is French. Just cause I think Larxene reads french literature in the 358Days manga - but like, dark and smart stuff only Intellectuals™ can understand. And also because it’s a tricky language to speak properly (LISTEN I TOOK 5 YEARS OF FRENCH AND I STILL DIE WITH ALL THE VOWELS). There’s just something about the way it’s spoken that screams her name. It’s fast paced, coquettish, sounds mature, there’s a lot of sharp sounds. Y’know !

Roxas :

Not specifically a language, but Roxas reminds me of the mix every bilingual person speaks sometime when they can’t remember a specific way of saying or explaining something. Or when your group of friends is mostly bilingual too and y’all just mix both languages and it’s a fucking mess for outsiders ? ( Like “Me cago en la fucking madre que te parió” o “I swear to god pOR QUE ERES ASI” are examples from the groupchat I am, wheeze). So probably Spanish and English !

Xion :

I’m torN AGAIN between ASL/Sign Language and Braille. But I think i’ll go with sign language ! Not to get Deep and Philosophical, but Sign Language seems to fit Xion, someone whose voice was silenced by those around her. We know she’s timid and quiet, but she’s also young and energetic, quick and witty around her friends - so unlike Lexaeus who’d calmly read using Braille, Xion is the type who’d sign at the speed of sound when excited or panicking and she’d enjoy sending secret messages to her friends.

LIFETIME WISH

Renaissance Sim I visited a business school, did a study and finished an apprenticeship. I have three degrees and the 4th is might be added soon on top. Because I’m thinking about to change my business profession, again. I’m too much all over the places and one profession is not really challenging me enough, lol. I get easily bored and people can see it after a while. I want to be so many things! I do have a million hobbies and I was always diverse, learning currently Spanish the 5th language, I know basics in French but those need to be expanded, too. So yeah, I love to be multitasking and I want to know all the things and have all the skill, hehe! So yep that’s simply who I am.

TRAITS

Creative Um, where should I start? Gosh creating own abstract art for my walls at home. DIY-Projects like furniture upcycling ( switching boring to industrial style), writing, poems, dancing and do whatever is considered as creative like Sims playing?;).

Perfectionist Sometimes it’s still not perfect even if I want it to be... aaargh. In such cases, I get mad at myself. Takes me sometimes forever, but then I hope it’s worth it ;)

Romantic Hopeless romantic actually, but I admit that I have difficulties to trust in love, again, since my last bad experience.

Good Well, that’s what people tell me and sometimes it feels like a curse and I want to break out and be just a bad bitch for once, sometimes it works =D. Active Dance played a major role in my life, for more than 10 years, still does somewhat. I used to be obsessed with ballet. If I wouldn’t have the genetic bone issues (Hip + Knee Dysplasia) I would have been probably a professional dancer. Even tho many can’t believe that I have such issues because when I dance you don’t see it. After 10 years the business life forced me to switch to the gym and ever since I’m a gym addict. Fitness and health are very important to me.

Dancing Maschine Well, I learned to dance Ballet, Jazz Dance, American Jazz Ballet (I was honored to work together with a known choreographer from Chicago) Street Dance, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Krumping (yeah even that, love that shit). Overall I had a few stage performances as well. Currently, I just started doing some classes in Breakletics a mix between Breakdance, Hip Hop and Fitness invented by a German B-boy! Pretty challenging after my hip surgery and as 40+ lady. But hey need to get back in shape! Dancing is my life will never stop dancing! Germany is not designed for adult hobby dancer, classes are rare and they’re expensive as fuck. Even if I grow 100 I will move my feet and shake that booty, lol trust me!

Now that the DCI season is over and I actually ended up getting a chance to watch every world class show at least once and most 2x I feel like briefly* breaking down my feelings on each one with an x/10 on personal enjoyment.

*brief is relative

Cascades- Pretty fun show. Looked and sounded great for the lowest placing corps. The ribbons had me stressed the entire show that someone would trip. 7/10

Jersey Surf- I was neutral on this show. Visually looked much better when the entire field stopped being blue. Cute ending. Performers were clearly giving their all. 6/10

Music City- Hated it :( just too cheesy for me i guess. Brass honestly surprised me with how good they sounded. Liked the guards flags a lot too. HATED the costumes. 5.5/10

Genesis- Liked it once the extended voiceover was done. Always love a good just hitting objects percussion moment. Wish I wasn’t on the side 2 35 for the brass stacked up so I could get the full impact. 8/10

Troopers- ... I don't like not liking them but... Positives: tried something new, trumpet soloist, the tarps were pretty, a few captivating individual movement moments. Negatives: uniform, visual, brass, overall design. I liked it more streamed than live but they were recovering from illness then. 5/10

Scouts- Similar to above. Liked the selection of music but that was about it. All their marching looked real frantic for some reason but still more consistent than troop. I don’t really remember anything particular for this show. I hope them and troop can do better next year. 6/10

Colts- Very impressed with them this season. Uniforms looked better than it seemed when revealed. Brass, especially trumpets and mellow, sounded great. Only thing I didn’t care for was the “freeze over” the blue shirts looked REAL cheap and the fabric just seemed to move too slowly to me. 8.5/10

Academy- Mixed feelings. The members were great but the show ending with like a rock version of london bridge is super lame. The staggered run towards the beginning was such simple but effective drill. Lovely ballad. Might have been one of my favorites of the season but those couple moments really dragged down the show for me. 7.5/10

Pacific Crest- One of the shows I only saw once. Really liked the uniforms and props. Nothing really is sticking in my mind and I think seeing it another time would have helped. ?/10

Spirit- A lot of corps I don’t typically like put on shows I was a big fan of and Spirit was one of those. Costumes were overall great; just wish the neon skintight ones were either a little loosed or had something hanging from the waist. Never thought I would hear Krump again lol. Just a very entertaining show. 8.8/10

Phantom- The guard pretending to be horns just doesn't do anything for me anymore. Brass sound good when they're allowed to; one of the worst on electronic support this year to me. Another nice ballad (with some wonderfully timed fireworks at Allentown) Not my favorite show of theirs but definitely not the worst 7/10

Crossmen- I feel like I should have liked the show more. Drum major looked great; loved the headpiece. Probably my favorite visually of their shows. I don’t know drums but I liked theirs. The stomp/clap section seemed awkward every time (probably because of audience participation during an accel) Ride trombones sounded very uncharacteristic in every stream I saw, not nearly as bad live. 6.7/10

Mandarins- I don’t know what it is but I always love their shows, have since their 20th place days. Brass sounded great especially at that ballad impact. Everyone moved pretty good. Didn't care for the corps proper uniform. The drum break with the song playing over it was pretty lame but the show ended strong after. 9.2/10

Cadets- Overused joke but Cadets can do better. Brass sounded really nice and everyone in the corps was doing their best to sell this show. The stair/bridge props were really cool, probably the part of the show i liked most. The recorded stuff was too much and didn't work for me. A little surprised they didn't redo the Do Better section. Also didn't really understand the plot it was trying to tell, just something about equality or something. 4.5/10

Blue Stars- Least favorite of the year and maybe ever. HATE HATE the uniforms. hate the props. When i saw them the guard was a disaster which based on scores must have been a fluke. hated the quiet ending. there was some impressive drill in there and they sounded fine. 3/10

Blue Knights- First BK show I’ve ever liked and it solidly lands in my top 10 of the year. Probably most effective voiceover. I love mirrors on the field but they didn't really feel utilized. Loved the doppler drums at the beginning. Some really cool drill moments throughout. As with everyone soloist were wonderful. Ending gave me goosebumps. 9.3/10

Boston- I think I heard too much hype for them and they just didn’t quite live up to it for. Guard was great obviously. Same with brass. Those peg walls were really cool. HATED the uniforms a black leotard with gold accents will always look cheap. The brass choreo for some reason made me think of oompah loompah dances. Also don't want to hear hamilton. 7/10

Cavaliers- Absolutely my favorite of the year. The uniforms looked wonderful on most of the ensemble. Starting with some loud, aggressive clusters always works for me. Loved the soloists sounding like they were in the distance. Every seemed like they were having a good time every time i saw them. Biggest downside to me was the drill felt very compact the entire show. I was really rooting for them to move up through the season but oh well. I’d say this is probably in my top 5 and definitely top 10 of all shows 9.8/10

Crown- Love that opening. Love that ballad. Love the dance solo after the ballad. Confused but enjoy the like bollywood part of the show. “the detail of the pattern” is a little annoying but it’s not there too long. Don't think there's anything to dislike about this show, the love just wasn't quite as high as for cavies. 9.6/10

SCV- Cool show. Similar to last years in design but I liked this one a lot more. So much individual excellence. It’s getting closer but i still think they have the best mello line. Probably my favorite use of the field this year. Low brass and first mello solos were great. The trumpet solo thing was a neat effect in concept but it never really landed any time i saw it. 9/10

Bluecoats- This corps I have very polar responses to and this was a down year for me. Beatles started them at a deficit. I got a facebook memory reminding me of solo mic balance issues with them in 16 today and that was one of my biggest complaints this year too. Even though i said it was a down year for me those are my only issues. I think this is the best they've ever played or moved and probably have the best costuming of any corps. Its just nota show i personally enjoyed. 6.5/10

Blue Devils- Neat concept. Really liked the tap section. Violin seemed unnecessary. BD always has my favorite guard. Up there with Cadets and Boston for neatest prop. Everything BD does well they did well. A little boring for a BD show imo. 7/10

Only 3 shows were 5/10 or lower while 8 were 8/10 or higher. Cant wait to see what next year holds

JBJ is a fan created group of eliminated Produce 101 Season 2 contestants. It was inspired by the fan created group IBI from Produce 101 Season 1.

At first, the initials stood for the saying “Please give us more screentime” in Korean, but fans eventually changed it because they just wanted the members to be happy

Group originally consists of 7 members, but 1 of them is currently inactive because he’s having troubles with his company

Our fandom name is Joyful, and JBJ love us even if we a hot mess LOL

I honestly believe he’s one of the best leaders because he’s so selfless and just wants the best for everyone

Is very charismatic on stage, but a fool every other time

Tbh, sanggyun has suffered a lot, like he didn’t make it big with toppdogg, and then he went on this show to be treated as a trainee again, but then they didn’t give him a lot of attention, and eventually he got eliminated, but now he’s doing a lot better, and i honestly hope that life just gets better for him, i love him sm

Before JBJ, he went on Heyo TV with other PD 101 Trainees and they were a group called Prinsix, and when RBW’s Lee Gunhee kept referring to him as Kenta, Cube’s Yoo Seonho got all sulky and went “Kenta HYUNG.”

Cried the second hardest during their first win, and like??? Can you imagine?? Moving to a foreign country and starting your career from the bottom up, and not even being assured that you’ll actually DEBUT or even become somewhat popular, and going on a shitshow like pd101 that only cares about like 10 of the trainees at most? Damn, i could never. He literally deserves the world.

Was too insecure about himself in the beginning, so no one knew he was a vocal, and made everyone SHOOK when he unleashed his singing skills

But, in all seriousness sometimes yongguk isn’t confident in himself, and it breaks my heart because he’s such a beautiful human and he works so hard, so everyone and anyone that has a problem with yongguk GOTTA GET THROUGH ME FIRST, COME AT ME, HOME GIRL WILL THROW SOME HANDS FOR YONGGUK

Almost made it to Top 20, but Guanlin took 20th place instead, and you could honestly see how yongguk was a little disappointed that he was so close but missed the chance by a single place, but now he’s in jbj and a lot of people love him, and y’all should CONTINUE TO LOVE HIM pls.

His former company deadass released a statement trying to claim he “changed after getting popular on produce 101” and that’s honest bullshit, because after the show ended, they lost ALL their trainees, and Taedong was just the one unfortunate enough to be stuck facing an actual contract termination, and now a lot of the fans and the jbj members are worried about him and just want to make sure he’s okay

He’s precious and a sunshine and I hope that he finds happiness soon
