Ulead A Lot! (Nustalgia). 2018. 40″ x 50.05″in, 300 DPI, JPEG.

This is from the nostalgic/contemporary series called NUSTALGIA by Danner, made in 2017. This was the mixing of old and new. Danner found some old Windows 98 software in his apartment left by the previous owner, this was what sparked this series idea. When he found the software, he luckily found an old Gateway Solo laptop for $20 on Craigslist right down the street. He screenshot the interesting icons and more he found on this computer and saved them by floppy disk. He then transferred them to his current-day laptop with a USB floppy disk converter. Then he added effects from his current-day laptop to the old icons, giving them an interesting revamp. From there Danner mixed his own photography, computer art and more with the older subjects into engaging compositions. Danner has made over 500 digital artworks, to see all, please email [email protected]
